记忆面包作者：童花错来源：《作文与考试·小学中高年级》 2017年第16期教授打开门，发现一个年轻人站在外面。
他面容憔悴，看起来好像有什么麻烦。
“啊，好久不见，突然来访，一定是有什么事吧？”“是的。
我最近感觉记忆力下降了，做起事情丢三落四，工作也总是出差错，所以想来请教您，有没有提高记忆力的方法？”“你来得正好。
我正在研究一种‘记忆面包’，不过正在试验阶段。

上线三个月，这个只有几个人的小团队就获得了10万美元的单子，而创始人钟卫的野心更大：盯上阿里巴巴商贸通上的500万外贸商户。
翻译有着悠久的历史，譬如希伯来文的基督教经典《圣经旧约》在公元前280年左右就开始被翻译为希腊文，有些人甚至断言没有翻译便没有现在的欧洲文化。
而互联网也正给这个古老的行当带来“众包”这一新的工作方法——互联网海选译者，再由多人以最短时间合作翻译，比如曾经风靡一时的著作《史蒂夫·乔布斯传》便是由译言网通过众包给网友的形式，在不到20天的时间里完成的。
国内类似的网站还有很多，比如译言的姊妹网站东西网、体育媒体虎扑和科技媒体果壳网。

“Ratonwork是一家基于众包模式的专业翻译服务平台，面向个人、机构、中小企业提供专业化的翻译服务。
”这是在自己的商业计划书中，创始人钟卫给Ratonwork这个创立刚刚一年的公司甚是清晰的定位。
相对来说，钟前期的个人经历并没有Ratonwork这么顺畅，毕业于山东科技大学的他2001年便开始北漂生涯，做过程序员，也做过项目经理，干过技术代理，干做过人口数据管理。
直到2005年，钟卫才找到一份儿比较稳定的工作——在微软做技术经理，之后又担任了市场专员一职，负责技术布道及市场推广。
担纲微软的IT人社交网站的建设期间，钟遇到了英文培训课程翻译和软件汉化的问题，“一方面一些专业人员想通过阅读或者翻译来不断学习，另一方面一些IT企业对专业翻译有需求。
”在他的描述中，这一问题是他创业的直接诱因。
2012年3月，在众包翻译业风生水起的大环境下，钟卫选择了从微软辞职创业。
2012年10月，他的众包翻译平台Ratonwork上线。
以下为钟卫口述：
“传递面包”
我们不做软件等产品级的翻译，主要做文档、资料、视频和电子教学等内容的翻译，还有一些APP的中翻英。
企业客户可以把需要翻译的内容放到我们的网络平台上，之后译者在平台上认领。
视频翻译主要有产品视频、技术视频和教育视频三种。
我们做两个事，一个是翻译字幕，做字幕托管，他可以把视频的地址给我，我直接在视频上翻译，在原有的基础上做一个代码就可以适配到我的字幕。
另一个模式，如果他没有视频，他可以把视频传给我，我们做好字幕后把播放器的地址给他，这样他也不需要找空间上传，直接引用就可以。
现在企业客户就是怕麻烦，把所有的事情给他做简单了，他是最开心的。
我们的策略是先拿大客户，一个行业的大客户就那么几家，做好之后身边的人就开始帮你卖了，口碑很重要，一个是客户口碑，还有就是译者的口碑。
译者帮你做东西，如果他觉得你对他还不错，他会把他身后的公司带给你，这是我们没有想到的。
“发动农民斗地主”，
这个很好玩，我们的许多散单基本上是译者带过来的。
目前，微软、诺基亚、Adobe等都是我们的客户。
之前，微软都是把视频翻译等工作外包给服务提供商，而后者或压榨他的员工，或把这些工作外包给学生。
我则剔除了中间环节，直接把这些工作给译者。
如果你想快点，我多找几个人同时给你翻，如果不着急，我就一个人慢慢给你翻。
中国的译者很多，我们需要做的是在每个领域找到专业的人，目前我们有一千五百多个译者，分布在IT、医疗、制造业三大领域。
我们给译者价格是80元/千字，比市场价格高10%，技能比较好的译者一周工作5天，一天工作两个小时，月底能收入两千块钱。
我们接到的订单均价160元/千字，除去各种成本开销，我们的净利润大约是20%。
我们的理想就是“传递面包”，对于那些有专业翻译技能的人，我们给不了太多，但可以给一个“面包”。
“我们是一个互联网公司”
我们的招募、考核以及业务来源都是依托互联网。
举个例子，手机应用或者手游游戏，翻译任务非常少，一单也就200元，所以传统翻译公司不接，但我们接，因为我们人多，并且用零碎时间来做。
我们的工作时间相对灵活，你可以通过中午或者晚上来翻译，并且通过片段化的分配任务也可以减少压力。
而传统翻译公司都是一整篇的，时间比较紧迫，压力也比较大。
当然，传统翻译的质量会更好一些。
质量需要一个过程去提高，
这里面取决于我怎么来精准的判断这个质量，怎么来设定奖惩制度，让好的人更加好，坏的人拿不到订单。
野心和烦恼
目前，质量监控是我们最大的难题，这需要一个过程去提高，目前我们通过做两件事情去做改善。
一个是把译者以小组为单位组织起来，我们把一些任务打包给这个组，无论分配工资还是分配任务我都不管，全部交给组长，这种小组分工，会大大提高翻译的速度和质量。
另一个是做好机器翻译的优化，我们和微软一个翻译团队做合作，把他们的优化框架拿到我们这里来，我们自己投入大量的语料来做这个优化，现在基本上达到30%。
翻译需求比较零散，所以我们需要和一些平台合作来抓住小客户，在阿里巴巴商贸通平台上，有五百万个做外贸的小商户，他们的产品更新、商务邮件都需要翻译，我们打算把翻译服务打包成一个小插件让用户按月购买。
此外，美国市场是我们未来拓展的重点，除了行业巨头，我们已经拓展了二十多个美国本地客户。
今年四月，我们申请了Y Combinator孵化器和500 Startups孵化器，虽然都被拒绝了，因为他们的创始者是我们竞争对手的股东，不过500 Startups给了我们一个消息使我们鼓舞，他们说我们的模式非常好。
我们同类网站Gengo目前已经完成A轮1200多万美元融资，TextMaster成立一年将网站拓展到了7个国家。
在天津黑马大赛的时候有评委跟我们说一定要有2C的野心，因为2C的市场是最大的，
虽然现在我还不知道2C的需求在哪里，但我可以先把这个平台包下来，就像在大海里面插了根旗。
