Becoming Jane《

Becoming a woman, becoming a legend "A woman especially if she has the misfortune of knowing anything, should conceal it as well as she can." ――Jane Austen The movie, Becoming Jane, fabricates a character, the hero Tom Lefroy, to show us audience Jane Austen’s romance. It ever or never happened in Jane’s life. Nevertheless undoubtedly, the movie is a successful one. We are all moved by Jane’s sense and sensibility. Jane completes a legend by her lifetime of becoming a great woman. There are many commentaries on the film――Her own life is her greatest inspiration.Between Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice was a life worth writing about. No one can ignore Jane’s achievement. Six immortal works about romance leave us a deep impression on the importance of being together with our true love. Relatively, few people know Austen’s own romances. She never get married. I think many people would like to consider that Jane uses her life to memorize a love and explain her understanding about love. She insists. She believes a marriage without love will never be happy, and a love without money will never be real.According to the movie, the great novel, Pride and Prejudice, is based on Jane’s love story with Tom Lefroy. The arrogant and handsome hero in the fiction insinuates Tom who is just a practical lawyer. But Darcy is rich, independent, owning authority and position, while Tom relies on his uncle and has little money. At the same time, the beautiful, clever and a little extreme Elizabeth just insinuates Jane herself. Obviously, there is an insurmountable distance between the novel and the reality. In the Pride and Prejudice, Darcy and Elizabeth get together eventually. Yet Jane and Tom Lefroy can only be friends, not lovers. In my mind, Jane is trying to give herself and Tom a happy ending in her novel which will never come true in reality. What will we do when our dream is so different from the reality? To surrender or to surmount? Maybe there can be a few people protect their love to go through their life, like Jane Austen, and never betray their love. However, the courage is not owned by everyone. Too much affection and emotion need to be called to our mind and pondered over. A Jane will live our heart, bringing us an opportunity to share the legend.。

1The feeling of 《Pride And Prejudice》Then man treat great event in one’s life with punishing, Demonstrate different attitudes to the love question of the marriage of young girl of the family origin of middle class of villages and towns, Thus reflected authors oneself’s marriage view: It is wrong to get married for the property, money and position; Get married and does not consider that above-mentioned factors are unwise too . So, she objects to getting married for money , objecting to regarding the marriage as a trifling matter . She emphasizes the importance of the ideal marriage , and regard men and women’s emotion as the foundation stone which concludes the ideal marriage .The woman protagonist in the book Elizabeth comes from the little landlord’s family, reaches the west to have deep love for for the rich and powerful people sons and younger brothers. Reach the disparity of ignoring family status and wealth of the west, propose to her, but is refused. Elizabeth’s misunderstanding and prejudice to him are a reason, but a main one is the arrogance that she dislikes him. Reach the thes of the west in fact status’ the reflections of difference, exist this kind arrogant, Not having common thoughts and feelings between he and Elizabeth, the marriage that can not have lofty ideals . Elizabeth watches conducting oneself in society and a series ofbehavior of reaching the west personally afterwards, See he change the proud conceited expressions of passing by, dispel misunderstanding and prejudice to him, Thus concluded the happy marriage with him. 2Many people simply regard Pride and Prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this book is an illustration of the society at that time. She perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works vivid characters. The characters have their own personalities. Mrs. Bennet is a woman who makes great efforts to marry off her daughters. Mr. Bingley is a friendly young man, but his friend, Mr. Darcy, is a very proud man who seems to always feel superior. Even the five daughters in Bennet family are very different. Jane is simple, innocent and never speaks evil of others. Elizabeth is a clever girl who always has her own opinion. Mary likes reading classic books. (Actually she is a pedant.) Kitty doesn’t have her own opinion but likes to follow her sister, Lydia. Lydia is a girl who follows exotic things, handsome man, and is somehow a little profligate. When I read the book, I can always find the same personalities in the society now. That is why I think this book is indeed the representative of the society in Britain in the 18th century. The family of gentleman in the countryside is Jane Austen’s favourite topic. But this little topic can reflect big problems. It concludes the stratum situation and economic relationships in Britain in her century. You can find these from the very beginning of this book. The first sentence in this book is impressive. It reads: “It is atruth well known to all the world that an unmarried man in possession of a large fortu ne must be in need of a wife”。

“I can live by my pen”.,

“Yes, but if our love destroys your family , it will destroy itself”,

Becoming Jane 观后感

Becoming Jane 观后感

The Enchantment of Jane AustenAt the beginning of the film Becoming Jane, I am quite touched by Jane's externalcharm---she is so glamorous and gorgeous. However, at the end of it, I am deeply touched by Jane's internal enchantment---she is really reasonable and bright. This film shows the whole life of Jane Austen in a vivid way. She fell in love with Tom at the age of twenty, but finally she gave up the romantic love and never got married. Actually, I am really in support of Jane's final decision. It has long been cherished as a truth that as long as love can bring happiness to us and add significance to life, then we should pursue it, for there is no wrong of true love. But the rub is can the passionate love between Jane and Tom brings happiness to them? Can their relationship add significance to their life? Jane is independent to some extent, for she can depend on writing to earn a living. However, Tom's problem is that he has to depend on the allowance from his uncle who will cut it off should he marry a country girl. Besides, should they get married, can they guarantee that they could love each forever in poor circumstances can they dare to bear unpredictable misfortunes? Can they have the ability to support the whole family including their parents and several brothers and sisters? In my point of view, love should not submit to time, money, social system and class, even more to life. There is an old Chinese saying: if a husband and wife are impoverished and humble, they maybe break up within one hundred days after they get married. It is true to some extent. If he can't provide the fundamental needs for his family, how does he feel of being a man? If he is always busy at making a living, how can he guarantee the basic communications with family members?I have asked a lot of my guy friends a question: if you have to choose between your career and love, what will you do? Surprisingly, all of them have the same choice: career. I was really astonished at first, but later they gave me the explanation: if I can't give her the warm of a home, what else can I bring for her? Thus, I must establish myself in career firstly and then settle down. In the film Becoming Jane, I am touched not only by Jane's loftiness, reason and belief but also by the decision she made for her life. I'm not advocating everyone consider affection as reasonable as Jane Austen. Jane once said, if love would destroy everything I would rather not fall in love. At this moment, I believe everyone can understand the mighty heartache of true love.Rolland once said, it is undesirable to try to damage the significance of all life simply for love. You should understand that once the big tree falls down the vine of love will lose its pivotal. In this case, the two people will destroy each other. Fortunately, Jane makes a reasonable decision eventually. Several decades later, they meet with each other again. When they look at each other, I see the true love in their eyes. This makes me believe that real love stories never have endings. At the end of the film, Jane is still charming and refined. Tom is still personable and debonair. She smiles at him and crystallized in the smile is her endless love for him. In a world that is often filled with turbulence, confusion and even darkness, reason is the light that guides us to joy and makes living worthwhile.。

Jane Austen is one of my favorite authors. I love the way she writes about society and relationships in her novels. Her use of wit and humor always makes me laugh and her characters are so relatable. I think her writing style is timeless and her stories are still relevant today. One of my favorite novels by Jane Austen is Pride and Prejudice. I love the relationship between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. Their initial dislike for each other and eventual love story is so captivating. I also enjoy the way Austen portrays the society of the time, with its strict social rules and expectations.Another novel I enjoy is Sense and Sensibility. The contrast between the two sisters, Elinor and Marianne, is so interesting. Elinor is practical and reserved while Marianne is emotional and impulsive. Their differentapproaches to life and love make for a great story.Overall, I think Jane Austen's novels are a great reflection of society and relationships during her time period. Her writing style and characters are still relevant today and her stories are timeless.

Money is absolutely indispensable!”。

When Elizabeth Bennett (Knightley) meets the handsome Mr. Darcy (Matthew MacFadyen), she believes he is the last man on earth she could ever marry. But as their lives become intertwined in an unexpected adventure, she finds herself captivated by the very person she swore to loathe for all eternity. Based on the beloved masterpiece by Jane Austen, it is the classic tale of love and misunderstanding that sparkles with romance, wit and emotional force. Critics are calling it "Exhilarating. Becoming_Jane成为简奥斯汀英语简介

傲慢与偏见英语读后感(一)The family of gentleman in the countryside is Jane Austen’s favourite topic. But this little topic can reflect big problems. It concludes the stratum situation and economic relationships in Britain in her century. You can find these from the very beginning of this book.People always think that Austen was an expert at telling love stories. In fact, the marriage in her book is not the result of love, but the result of economic needs. After reading this book, I know the truth is that a poor woman must be in need of a husband, a wealthy man.In “Pride and Prejudice〞, the sister of Mr. Bingley strongly opposed his plan of marrying Jane because the Bennets don’t have many possessions and their social positions are much lower than them. From this, we can see there are a lot of obstacles for a not very rich woman to marry a wealthy husband. The society, the relatives would not allow them to get married. In modern society, although the marriages of economic needs have decreased rapidly, the c oncept of “money determines everything〞 is still rooted in some people’s mind. A lot of parents try hard to interfere their children’s marriages. Education background, possessions, jobs remains the main reason that may influence one’s marriage. Marry for m oney is still a big problem in our society. We can’t help thinking: can money determine everything?。

There are many commentaries on the film――
Her own life is her greatest inspiration.
Between Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice was a life worth writing about.
She believes a marriage without love will never be happy, and a love without money will never be real.
According to the movie, the great novel, Pride and Prejudice, is based on Jane’s love story with Tom Lefroy.
