2020年雅思口语范文素材:中国相关问题
2020年雅思口语范文素材:中国相关问题How aware do you think are people today about environmental issues in China? ( 5 - 8 )That’s an interesting question. Allow me to explain my personal views by shortly mentioning the following points:Firstly, the air pollution in our cities is making people more aware of the issues because it is affecting them directly. For example, often in the winter one has difficulty breathing outside in the mornings. Secondly, water pollution has resulted in us not being able to drink our water. This means that water for domestic purposes has to be bought at high cost. One aspect that people have to be made more aware of is recycling. Housewives should be taught to sort their garbage into groups like glass, plastic, paper and biodegradable waste. These groups of waste can then be recycled into new products which in turn will save on our use of natural resources. What role does tourism play in China’s economy? ( 5 - 8 )That’s an interesting question. Allow me to explain my personal views by shortly mentioning the following points:Firstly: At the moment tourism is not playing a great rolein China’s economy. This is because of the many years of a closed policy. Many foreign tourists do not know China. As a matter of fact, I have heard that people of the west are afraid to visit China. How serious is unemployment in China? ( 5 - 8 )I feel unemployment is very serious in China at he moment, and is growing day by day. More and more people are loosing their jobs everyday. Every person that does not have a job becomes a problem to his or her community and the country asa whole. What is the worst place you have visited in China? ( 5 -8 )My recent visit to the city of Shanghai was not pleasant. Allow me to explain some reasons. Firstly, the traffic is no pleasure. For example, one cannot move around freely becauseof all the traffic jams. Secondly, I found that the languageof the people was vey different to mine. This meant that although we were of the same nation, I could not always communicate smoothly with people well. What is the best place you have been to in China? ( 5 -8 )The best place that I have been to has definitely beenThe Great Wall. It has a very long history, and its size is amazing. It is the only human structure that can be seen from the moon.Could you tell me something about the traditional architecture in China? ( 5 - 8 )I don’t know much about architecture, but I will try my best. I know that Chinese architecture is unique in the world. This is due mainly to the types of building materials that have been available to people for many centuries. In modern times new materials have become available, and has resultedin our architecture becoming more westernized. What are the major social problems in China? ( 5 - 6 )What is the biggest problem that China faces? ( 5 - 6 )That’s a broad question. Allow me to explain my views by shortly mentioning the following points: Firstly, unemployment is a large problem. For example, more and more people are loosing their jobs. This is resulting in many social problems. Secondly, raising the standard of living of communities, especially in the provinces in the west of the country. This implies that we should attempt to get more people living in those areas. This would have the additional advantage that the pressure on the resources and infrastructure in the east of the country will be eased. What are the major social problems in China? ( 7 - 8 )What is the biggest problem that China faces? ( 7 - 8 )That’s a broad question. Allow me to explain my views by shortly mentioning the following points: Firstly, unemployment is a large problem in many parts of the world. For example, more and more people are loosing their jobs, resulting in many social problems, like poverty, on the ground level. Secondly, lack of education leads to ignorance amongst the populations of the world. This in turn restricts in people not appreciating what the challenges are that are facing them. How can these social problems be solved? ( 5 - 8 )That’s an interesting question. Allow me to explain my views by shortly mentioning the following points: First of all, pollution and overpopulation cannot be solved easily. Itwill take a lot of effort by many governments and other organizations. Individuals all over the world will have to make a contribution as well. Pollution is a result of development in general and industrialization in particular. Fighting pollution usually means that the profits made by industries are reduced, which leads to resistance from the industrialists. I believe that the answer will be to find a balance between development and conservation. What do you think are the most significant events in the recent history of China? ( 5 - 8 )That’s an interesting question. Allow me to explain my personal views by shortly mentioning the following points:Firstly, I believe The Second World War has been the most significant single event in recent times. For example, it resulted in dramatic changes in the world order. From it two superpowers, America and Russia (one of China’s neighbors) emerged. Countries like Japan and Germany were affected in the most spectacular ways, but it also had a major influence on many other countries such as China. What role does religion play in everyday life in China? ( 5 - 6 )That’s a broad question. Allow me to explain myself by shortly mentioning the following points: Firstly, amongst the younger generation I would say that is has virtually no influence. This can be seen for example in the way that the youngsters are becoming more and more unfamiliar with the traditional customs as practiced by the generations before them. They are becoming more humanistic in their worldviews. To be more exact, they believe that the human being itself is the ultimate force to be reckoned with in life.Do you think more and more people want to leave China? Why?( 5 - 6 )That’s a tough question. Allow me to explain myself/my personal views by shortly mentioning the following points:Yes. I believe more and more people want to leave China. If I had to highlight the main reason why they want to leave, I would say that they are under the impression that they will have an easier and more affluent life abroad. They are lured by the images that they see on television of all the comforts and luxuries people abroad enjoy. I believe that this is a fallacy created by the western media. The media does not show the downside of life in many of these countries. Except for maybe a country like Switzerland, all countries have some people living in poverty and ignorance. I believe that it is not necessary to go to another country to be successful and happy.。
2024雅思口语范文
2024雅思口语范文一、人物类(Describe a person who has interesting ideas or opinions)Well, I'd like to talk about my friend Jack. He's a real character when it comes to having interesting ideas. You know, we were once chatting about the future of transportation. While most people would just say something like "Oh, we'll have faster cars or more efficient trains", Jack had this wild idea. He reckoned that in the future, we might have personal flying devices that are powered by clean energy, like some kind of super advanced solar powered mini helicopters for everyone. And he wasn't just daydreaming. He started explaining how it could work, with these really small but powerful motors and advanced navigation systems.Another time, we were discussing food. Everyone was talking about the new trendy restaurants in town. But Jack was like, "Why don't we have a restaurant where the menu is based on the food astronauts eat in space?" He thought it would be so cool to have things like dehydrated fruits made into really interesting and healthy snacks, and drinks that are fortified with all kinds of vitamins just like the ones they have on the space station. His ideas always make me think outside the box. Whenever I'm with him, I feel like I'm in a world full of possibilities. It's not just that his ideas are different, but he also has the ability to make you believe that they could actually happen.二、事件类(Describe an exciting event you attended)I've got to tell you about this amazing music festival I went to last summer. It was called "Sunset Music Fest".As soon as I arrived at the festival site, I could feel the energy in the air. There were people everywhere, all dressed in these really cool and colorful outfits. The place was decorated with huge banners and bright lights. The first band that came on stage was a local rock group. Man, theywere on fire! The lead singer had this incredible voice that could reachthe high notes without any effort. And the guitarist was doing these amazing solos that made everyone go wild. I was right in the middle of the crowd, jumping up and down like a madman. Then, there was a DJ set that was just out of this world. The DJ was mixing all these different kinds of music, from electronic dance music to some old school hip hop beats. The light show that went along with it was like something from another planet. Lasers were shooting all over the place, and the strobe lights were making it feel like time was speeding up and slowing down at the same time. One of the best parts was when a famous singer made a surprise appearance. Everyone went crazy when they saw her walk onto the stage. She sang all her hit songs, and the whole crowd was singing along with her. It was like one big, happy family united by music.I didn't want that day to end. I left the festival with my ears ringing, but with a huge smile on my face. It was truly an exciting event that I'll never forget.三、物品类(Describe an old object in your family that has special meaning)There's an old pocket watch in my family that has a really specialplace in my heart. This pocket watch belonged to my great grandfather. It's not one of those super fancy, diamond studded watches. It's actually quite simple in design. The case is made of silver, and it has a little engraving on the back. It's a bit scratched up from years of use, but that just adds to its charm. When I was a kid, my grandfather used to take it out and show it to me. He would tell me stories about my great grandfather. He was a hard working man who worked on the railways. And this pocket watch was his most precious possession. He used it to keep track of time during his long shifts.I remember one time, my grandfather let me hold the watch for a little while. It was really heavy in my hand, and I could feel the history in it. The tick tock sound it made was so soothing, like it was whispering all those old stories to me.Now, the pocket watch is kept in a special box in our family cabinet. Whenever I see it, I think about my great grandfather's hard work and the values that he passed down through the generations. It's like a little time capsule that holds the memories and the spirit of our family's past.。

2020年5月雅思口语新题范文+语料:Describeawedding
Describe a weddingTask:Describe a wedding you attendedYou should say:whose wedding it waswho was therewhere it wasand explain how you felt at this wedding.Sample answer:One of my cousins got married and had a magnificent(华丽的) celebration. Nearly 100 hundred relatives and friends attended it and I was there all along the way. There are many steps to follow during a typical Chinese wedding, like both families cover any manholes, drains or wells nearby the houses with red paper as a local tradition. But I always find most interesting the part of how the groom win his way to his lover. The wedding ceremony was on the national day last year.Around 9 am, we, as the groom family, set a fleet of cars towards the bride house. When we arrive at the brides house, the groom, along with his parents, cousins, aunts and uncles, went to the brides door. The groom knocked the door several times, calling out for his wife, but the bride's mother won’t not open it until the groom calls, "Mama" and paid the bride's mother some money.Even then, the bride remained locked in her room with the bride's maids. The maids demanded the groom proved his love before they would open the door. This included singing correctly some ordered romantic songs, and some were tricky. My cousin was not a pop song lover, so it was time to display my music skills. My try was passed as OK, thankfully. Eventually the bride came out and the groom lifted her up into the waiting car during everyone’s applause. In the weddings I have attended, there have been a few Western elements, like white gowns and wedding vows, but overall, I would characterize the weddings as very much Chinese in both form and style. It is a mix of tradition, spectacle, prestige, showing off, and romance all in one.小编有话说:描述你参加的一场婚礼。
2020年12月26日雅思大作文题目及高分范文
2020年12月26日雅思大作文题目及高分范文首先我们来看下2020年12月26日雅思大作文题目In many countries,People are wearing western-style clothes rather than the traditional type of clothes. Why is the case? Is it a positive or negative development?在许多国家/地区,人们穿的西式衣服(西服和牛仔裤)比传统衣服要多。
为什么?是积极的还是消极的发展?该题算是老题了,属于社会类题目,接下来我们看一篇2020年12月26日雅思大作文高分范文:In this day and age, a ubiquitous trend could be found in our society that individuals prefer to wear clothes different from their domestic styles. This essay will explore the root cause behind such a trend and reveal a personal attitude towards it.Traditional clothes are far more challenging to wear compared with western clothes. This is mainly because traditional clothes tend to have more decorations to embody their cultural features, and those decorations are extremely challenging to wear. To be more specific, in some parts of China, individuals are accustomed to putting pieces of jewelry on his/her head as a way to express dignity. This will take up countless time and effort to wear. However, when wearing traditional clothes, individuals can explicitly put them on, saving a lot of time eventually. Therefore, I believe that it is the convenience of wearing modem clothes that accounts for the irreversible trend of wearing western clothes in modem societies. From my perspective, this trend is both positive and negative. On the one hand, it is positive since this trend symbolizes a trend of seeking freedom of expression. Followers of this trend show his/her bravery to break the traditions, even though they are of possibilities to be criticized by societies. This kind of gut is extremely valuable in today’s society and should be appreciated. On the other hand, always dressing up in western clothes does have the potential of imposing detrimental implications for the inheritance of indigenous cultures. Provided that no one would wear traditional clothes anymore, these clothesare likely to be abandoned and even disappear soon.In conclusion, I hold the point of view that it is inappropriate for one to completely set aside their traditional clothes and become a follower of a western trend, or vice versa. We can still follow western trends but should not shy away from our traditional clothes. This way we will be following new trends, yet promoting our culture and be very much attached to our roots.。

1.Have you ever had an unhappy haircut experience?2.How long have you had your current haircut?3.How often do you have a haircut?4.Do you like having your hair cut?范文:1.Have you ever had an unhappy haircut experience? That’s more like(更像是,不如说是) every time, ha-ha! You see, I just have this feeling that I have a very different understanding of concepts like ‘a LITTLE bit shorter’, from, say, ninety-nine percent of hairdressers. They almost always get my fringe(刘海) way too short making me look pretty silly. To be honest, I don’t know what their problem is.2.How long have you had your current haircut?I don’t really like to change my haircut style too often, and I think I’ve kept it this way for the last three or four years . I mean, yeah, there are new hair trends almostevery season, but I just don’t see the point of(不理解为什么) following them. It’s too tiring for me.3.How often do you have a haircut?Well, about once a month, sometimes even longer. My hair doesn’t grow very fast, compared to my cousin. He goes to the barber’s every two weeks cuz otherwise, he’d look like a rock star – I meant no offence(无意冒犯) to them, but, you know what I mean(你懂的). I, however, don’t have that problem.4.Do you like having your hair cut?Um... If you mean ‘do I enjoy having a haircut’, then no. I’m not that keen on polishing(抛光,修饰) my appearance. I think it has to be neat and clean, and that’s all. I don’t really enjoy sitting there for at least half an hour waiting to get my hair cut, as I can’t even see anything clearly without my glasses.5.What’s your last haircut? It was like really short, and that was during my high school, when I found that having short hair could be so much more convenient. It indeed was a bit too boyish(男孩子气的), I guess, my relatives sometimes called me ‘tomboy’. But I’m fine with that. Then I decided to have a change andbecame... Let’s say, a bit more chic. And that’s when I changed to my current hairstyle.2020雅思口语话题题库范文2题目:1.Do you walk a lot?2.Do you walk more often now than in the past?3.Do you think people will walk more or not in the future?4.Where do you usually go for a walk?范文:1.Do you walk a lot?I suppose I do, yeah. I mean, I always prefer to travel by foot when it’s a short distance. And I take multiple short trips every day. Like, you know, I go to the library, the classroom, the school mart and the dining room on foot every day. On weekends, I sometimes hang out with my friends in the city, where it is too crowded to drive. So yeah, in that sense, I guess it’s fair to say that I do walk a lot.2.Do you walk more often now than in the past?I have to say no, because when I was a child, I used to go hiking with my parents in the woods. And when we were not hiking, we would take long walks near our home. That was quite a bit of exercise! But now, it’s impossible to spend time walking every day. School is just too busy.3.Do you think people will walk more or not in the future? From what I can see, we probably won’t be able to walk much in the future, given the bustling city life that we are heading into, you know. People already spend so much time indoors. Well, we work on computers and entertain ourselves on electronic devices. How could we spare time to walk in the future? Actually, it may be a surprise if we could make time for walking at all!4.Where do you usually go for a walk?Well, it depends on where I am living. If I’m living a t home, I normally just walk on the street near my home. Or sometimes I take a stroll to the shopping area to kill time. But when I’m at school, I just walk in the playground with my friends. Sometimes we even go for a brisk walk around the playground.2020雅思口语话题题库范文3题目:1.When do you need to be focused?2.What may distract you when you are trying to stay focused?3.What do you do to help you concentrate?4.Is it difficult for you to stay focused on something?范文:1.When do you need to be focused? You mean, apart from when I’m studying? Uh, I don’t know, when I’m trying to complete something dangerous, like chopping carrots, or sewing(缝) something. Cuz, apparently, I may get injured by knives or needles if I don’t fully concentrate. It did happen last summer. One afternoon I was cooking while talking to my mom, when suddenly I cut my finger. Fortunately, it wasn’t a deep cut.2.What may distract you when you are trying to stay focused?Well, a sudden and big noise, for instance. Say, if I am trying to work out an academic problem, and there is a huge thud(砰地一声) in the living room, of course, I’d stop working and start wondering if my dad clumsily(笨手笨脚地) tripped overhimself, like, again. I’d have to check if there’s a problem, and that’s just human nature.3.What do you do to help you concentrate?Mostly I just move my mobile and other devices to another room. Cuz the way I see it, the biggest distraction nowadays would be social networks, they are like heroin(海洛因) for your brain. If my phone is within my reach, I can never really focus. At the very least, I mute it and flip it over(翻过去).4.Is it difficult for you to stay focused on something?Normally it’s okay. If I’m really keen on something, I don’t really need any assistance in keeping my concentration. For instance, if I’m reading a book that I really like, I’d probably skip meals(忘食) simply because I forget them completely. But sometimes when I’m tired and still need to work, I need an absolutely quiet room to make sure I won’t get distracted.2020雅思口语话题题库范文4题目:1.Do you wear jeans?2.How often do you wear jeans?3.Do you like wearing jeans, why?4.Why do you think jeans are popular?范文:1.Do you wear jeans?Yes, absolutely. I wear jeans a lot, and I don’t see any reason why I shouldn’t. Now, some people may say that it’s not really healthy because it can affect your blood circulation(血液循环), but I think that only happens when you wear those ridiculously skinny ones. To be honest, I can’t see the point. I always prefer baggy(宽松的) ones, which are immeasurably more comfortable.2.How often do you wear jeans?Basically, every day, I mean, if I don’t have to dress formally for an interview or something like that. Formal occasions like that would have certain dress codes(着装要求), and wearing jeans at this time could be impolite. But apart from that, I just wear them all the time. I’d say... in a typical(典型的,常规的) week, there will be at least five days when I wear jeans.3.Do you like wearing jeans, why?Of course, especially in spring and autumn, when the temperature is not too high. The way I see it, jeans are probably the most versatile(多面手的,多功能的) clothing in one’s closet. Say, if you wear those super-popular designer brands like Evisu, you can easily achieve a really fashionable look. Also, if you wear those dark indigo or even black ones with blazers(单西,西装外套), you can have a smart, business-casual look.4.Why do you think jeans are popular? There are multiple reasons. For a start they are made from denim, which, essentially(本质上讲), is just cotton. This is a really comfortable material, but also durable enough to avoid everyday wear and tear . Also, they can match almost all kinds of everyday outfits(外套), like I mentioned just now. What’s more, they are usually not that expensive, which means everybody can afford them.5.Do you spend a lot on jeans? Not really. Unlike silk shirts or cashmere(羊绒的) coats, jeans are generally inexpensive, as theywere originally designed to be worn by industrial workers. But very occasionally, I buy some designer jeans that I’m crazy about, like no more than once a year. And I can wear them for a long time without wearing them out(穿坏,磨破).2020雅思口语话题题库范文5题目:1.Does your voice sound similar to your parents?2.Do you enjoy recording your voice and listening to it?3.Has your voice ever changed?4.Do you like your own voice?范文:1.Does your voice sound similar to your parents? No, not at all. My mother speaks with an accent, but it still sounds clear and sweet. If she was a saleswoman, I suppose she would get the best sales figures amongst others. One can’t say NO to such a pleasant voice. My father has such a low and deep voice. He never barks to show he is unhappy, but he simply clears his throat. Interestingly, my voice is neither sweet nor persuasive, just the middle type.2.Do you enjoy recording your voice and listening to it?Nuh... That could be a bit narcissistic(自恋的), from my point of view. As I’ve mentioned, I don’t find my voice especially charming. But I do, sometimes, listen to my voice messages to others in WeChat, just making sure, you know, that there wasn’t any mistake or disturbing(令人不适的) noise.3.Has your voice ever changed?Yeah, I think so, but I assume basically everybody goes through this period when their voices change dramatically(剧烈地), like, for boys the pitch goes down, and for girls quite the contrary. That happens around adolescence(青春期), typically. I was 13 when my voice broke,. But nothing has changed ever after.4.Do you like your own voice?Well... I don’t know, actually... I mean, I don’t think I dislike it(否定转移,我也没有不喜欢), it’s just that I don’t think there is anything special about my voice. Normally, we would describe a great voice as ‘magnetic’, or ‘three-dimensional’, as if it comes from a high-end acoustic device(声学设备), like a stereo.

Talking about the most challenging as well as the most impressive experience in last two years, I would definitely say that it was keeping two parrots at home. My brother gave me two parrots (they should be called Budgerigar) as a surprise gift when my summer vacation began in last year. At first, I was overjoyed when hearing that I need to shoulder the whole responsibility to take care of them. In the following several days, I searched much information on the Internet to get to know its food list, living habits and behaviours, even the possible symptoms of getting ill. Then I bought them a nice and bigger cage as their “luxury flat” to offer them more space for activities. Preparing daily food and water, talking to them and observing them, I patiently did all what I could do to fully shoulder the responsibility as their owner. As I said it was very challenging because I found it was so hard to keep two LITTLE things! I need to pay great attention, efforts and patience to complete the daily feeding and cleaning, which was more challenging than the daily tasks in online games. Moreover, my nic e talking and observing couldn’t do any help to train them to listen to me, even be a little bit friendly to me! I thought the training to birds was so a piece of cake before keeping them. When I approached them more closer than usual, they would flapped their wings and flew around the whole cage, even pecked me badly. As for the most important point, they could be making noises all the time during the day. It was a period when I didn’t feel like hearing any bird songs, so-called “birds’ singing”. It was a great sense of helplessness when my passion met with my frustration in keeping them, especially when I found what could I do was only to deal with their dropping waste and the falling-out feathers. Finally I realized that keeping pets is a thing that “Love me much (not little), love me longer”. Taking the responsibility for your pet is much more challenging than saying that. You have to think carefully before having a plan to keep a pet. Last but not the least, you need to take care of it throughout its whole life to experience what responsibility is.参考范文二:would like to talk about the time I first moved to Changsha for college. It’s one of the major changes in my life till now I have to say.Firstly, I was born in the north of China. We have drier winter, while Changsha, which is a southern city is probably the most humid city in the world. The constant rain is killing me. And the food in Changsha is too spicy and salty for me. I am not used to having too many spices and chili in the food. Also, I can’t rea llyunderstand the local language.Besides, college study is totally different from high school study, including in study methods and subjects. For example, you don’t have anyone to supervise you or motivate you on your own things. You can only rely on yourself.Another significant change for me is the living environment.I used to live with my parents and have my own room, while in college, I have to live with 5 other girls in a small dormitory. We even don’t have a private bathroom. It’s utterly inconve nient when you have to share the bathroom with so many other people, like more than 70 people. To conclude, I am still adapting myself to the new environment and the new life. Like people always say, we’ll have to embrace the change.雅思口语Part2: 近期改变/有挑战的经历雅思口语Part2考题:Describe a recent change that happened on you.You should say :What the change was ?What caused the change ?What did you do ?How you felt about it ?新题参考:1.I'd like talk about an amazing change happened on me recently. In less than 2 months,I managed to lose 20 pounds.Isn't that amazing?2.I was a big boy.I used to eat lots junk food. Many people warned me that my diet habit could kill me.Well,i didn't take it seriously. Then my body weight was out of control. When I found that I couldn’t fit in my favorite jacket,I was very disappointed.Icouldn’t believe that’s me in the mirror.I decided to change it before it's too late.3.Changing the old habits is the first step.Getting rid of the junk food could be a good start.I sticked to a diet.Every meal,I ate lots of fresh vegetables and caculated how much calories i consumed.Besides that,I did lots of exercise.I went to the gym a couple of times a week.My daily routine was like 20 minute aerobics and an hour weight lifting.4.Well,my hard work paid off.A couple of weeks later,I started to see changes.I saw my abs.My body weight was declining.I made it and I'm very proud of myself.2020年5-8月雅思口语part2新题预测:遇到的挑战题目:Describe a difficult challenge you metYou should say:What it wasWhen and where it happenedWhat you didAnd explain why you think it is a challenge范文:我觉得参加一个业余象棋比赛并获得奖项对我而言是个挑战。

Last summer I paid a visit to my friend, Iris. Her father was opening a new Sichuan cuisinerestaurant in the neighborhood. It is a Chinese tradition that the friends who are in any wayconnected to the owner of the restaurant are obliged to wish congratulations in person at theopening ceremony. Therefore, I prepared a bunch of sunflowers, which stand for ‘prosperity’ in theChinese culture, hoping that Iris’ dad makes a good fortune through the booming business. However, I arrived, while the tables and chairs were not yet laid, and decorations were notdone.Iris’ exhausted face suddenly turned radiant the moment she saw me. It was the first time I wasseeing her since we had separated half a year ago. Like any two friends meeting up after a while,we wished to have more time to chat. However, we were urged to be chop-chop, because thosetables, chairs and flowers were waiting for a place to stay. We made use of every possibility totalk. “See how beautifully I arranged the roses!” “Don’t yo u think that chair matches better withthis table?” or something like that. The hustle and bustle in the restaurant reminded me of the far?away days we had spent decorating my small room, bickering and self-pleased over the layout ofthe furniture. How time flies. In the blink of an eye we have grown up and come to the age ofnostalgia. I’m sure those days will live in my memory forever.2020雅思口语话题题库范文2题目:Describe a time you were sleepy but had to stay awakeYou should say:When it happenedWhy you were sleepyWhy you had to stay awakeAnd how you stayed awake范文:我记得在高中的时候,我为了期末考试复习熬夜到很晚。

It is a thick, factual bookabout many different subjects. It is really a collection of information and anecdotes related to our private lives, past and present. The book is mainly about things that have been included in our homes over the centuries. The author started out by wondering about the history of everything in his own home. As it is a factual book rather than a novel, it does not have a plot as such. Each chapter in the book covers the history of a particular room. For example, the chapter on the kitchen talks about the history of running water, electricity, gas cooking and so on. The chapter aboutthe bathroom looks at the history of plumbing, sanitation and privacy. The bookcontains so much interesting information that I think I will have to read it again in order to takeit all in.As to the kind of people who would enjoy it, I think anybody who is interested in history and enjoys learning lots of interesting facts would enjoy reading this book. It would also appeal to a busy person, as it’s a good book to dip in and out of, because you don’t have to follow a story, as you would with a novel. You can just take it chapter by chapter, or even page by page, as there is something to learn on every page. Each chapter is written like a story, even though it is a factual book, so it takes the reader to all sorts of unexpected places, and for me it was a real page-turner.I like this book because I learned such a huge amount from it, which has made me look around my own home with different eyes and appreciate just how far we have come in a short space of time in terms of architecture, technology, lighting, comfort and many other things.雅思口语Part 2范文模板:历史人物You should say:Who he/she iswhat he/she didWhen you first knew him or herand why you are interested in him/her雅思口语part2高分话题范文参考:历史人物(Describe a historical person that you are interested )The United States of America is a land of historical events. Besides, the country is also famous for some of its heroic sons. Abraham Lincoln is one of them. I am really glad that I got the opportunity to talk about him for the next few minutes.I knew about Lincoln from the history class when I was in high school . Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the USA.During his reign, the situations were unusual. The country went under some serious critical moments and the Civil War was one of them. Besides, there were some political and constitutional crises as well. But Lincoln controlled the situations in an efficient manner. It is Abraham Lincoln who abolished the slavery. Before the abolition of this system, racism was at its peak. Lincoln also did some other notable activities. He is the man who also made the federal government system stronger. The modern economy actually started its journey with the association of this President. In fact, many of the facilities we are enjoying today are the gift of this smart man.Yes, I like him much. He is a historical figure in the history of the USA. He served the country as a great guardian and wanted to improve the existing norms and rules. Accordingly, a good number of changes took place in the country and we are bearing the legacy in the present days. It is really a matter of courage indeed to rule a nation during a bloody war and provide the right directives, working amid internal crisis and more. He also supervised and set strategies during the war so that the losses are minimal. All of his attempts were humane and he dreamt of a modern America. He emancipated the slavery in the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution for the USA. In fact, this the greatest tasks he has ever done and for this reason, a majority of the US citizens like me hail him.雅思口语Part 2范文模板:想认识的人Describe a person that you want to know more aboutWho is he or she? When did you meet this person?Where have you met? What did you do?Why do you want to know more about him or her?雅思口语part2高分话题范文参考:想认识的人(Describe a person that you want to know more about)I love to meet new people. Today, I would like to talk abouta charismatic person I met a year ago.Last year I was going to Mumbai by train for an official meeting. On the way, a young lady boarded the train from a small railway station. She occupied the seat in front of me. Very soon we started talking about our hobbies, studies and work etc. Her name was Sukriti Singh. She was a second-year student of the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. One particular thing which made her quite special was her high confidence level. Normally, girls don’t travel alone in my country. In most cases, they are accompanied by their parents or some other family member. But, since she was on her own, that clearly reflected her boldness.I found this girl very interesting. Her in-depth knowledge of latest technology and space science made me re-think about my opinion about females. I used to think that Indian women are only interested in fashion. Science is not their cup of tea. But, this meeting was a real mind-changer. She helped open my eyes towards the common attitude of ignorance males have towards females regarding their intelligence. Now, I fully understand that women have the potential to succeed in any field.。

今天小编给大家整理了2020年8-12月雅思口语题库及范文,我们一起来看看吧!2020年8-12月雅思口语题库及范文1题目:1.Do you think you are a good friend to others?2.What kind of people do you like to make friends with?3.Do you keep in contact with friends from your childhood?4.What do you think makes good friends?范文:1.Do you think you are a good friend to others?Yes, I can proudly say so. I am sociable enough to know at first, lovable enough to get along with, and judicious enough to give a piece of advice. Many friends of mine seek advice from me, and generally, they take it into consideration. I guess that shows how close we are.2.What kind of people do you like to make friends with?I like to make friends with honest and straightforward guys. Cuz I’m the hot-headed type of person. Once I was told to do something, I would do it blindly. If an honest and straightforward friend came giving me wise advice, I could stop myself from acting stupidly and take a wiser move.3.Do you keep in contact with friends from your childhood?Yes, of course. My BFF, Jane, was my kindergarten mate. Isn’t it unbelievable? I have a lot of friends, but it is she who I want to share everything with. When every happy or sad moment came, I would think of her. And then she would listen so attentively. I guess that’s the key to our friendship. Always shareand listen.4.What do you think makes good friends?Well, for me, good friends should have something in common. They share a common passion for certain things. It could be minor things. For example, my best friend, Jane, and I am crazy about knitting. Although we are no longer living together, we still share photos of the knitting we have finished recently with each other. Every time we are talking about knitting, we find it hard to stop. It is the same passion that ties us together during the separation.2020年8-12月雅思口语题库及范文2题目:1.Which place left the deepest impression on you when travelling?2.Which cities have you travelled to?3.Do you like travelling?4.What kinds of cities do you like to travel to?范文:1.Which place left the deepest impression on you when travelling?Personally speaking, the place that left the deepest impression on me was Vancouver, which is acoastal city in western Canada. I stayed there for nearly half a year when I was an exchangestudent. I enjoyed travelling around the city and exploring its natural scenery.2.Which cities have you travelled to?Well, I’v e traveled to many North American cities as well as Asian cities, including New York,Washington D. C., Boston, Toronto, Montreal, Bangkok andso on. I visited these cities during myholidays and also my exchange semester two years ago.3.Do you like travelling?Yes, I’m a fan of traveling, especially backpacking, which is a kind of traveling characterized bylow expenses and high degrees of cultural immersion. I enjoy traveling very much mainly out of myeagerness to know more about different cultures.4.What kinds of cities do you like to travel to?As a nature lover, I’m always fascinated by cities with gorgeous natural beauty and authenticcuisine. Compared to metropolitans, I rather prefer traveling to small towns that are close tonature, especially those adjacent to mountains or lakes.2020年8-12月雅思口语题库及范文3题目:1.Have you ever met a celebrity/superstar in real life?2.Who is your favourite movie star?3.Are international superstars popular in your country?4.Do you want to be a superstar?范文:1.Have you ever met a celebrity/superstar in real life?Yes, I have! But it was quite unintentional. It was about three years ago, my friends and I went to the cinema for the latest movie. When we were waiting outside, suddenly a sharp scream caught my attention. Then I found that there was a large group of people holding posters in their hands and among them was a famous actor. That is how I met a celebrity accidentally.2.Who is your favourite movie star?I think Tom Cruise is probably the movie star who can attractmy attention most. His appearance and acting skills are the most appealing things to me. In the movie series Mission: Impossible, his excellent performance really impressed me. By the way, his latest movie also made me more respectful to him because he did lots of extremely difficult movements although he is almost 60- year-old.3.Are international superstars popular in your country?I suppose so. As more and more international movies and TV programs are being introduced into Chinese market, we have more exposure to foreign superstars so undoubtedly, they are gaining popularity in China. Most of my friends are passionate about some international celebrities like Mr. Bean, Nicole Kidman and of course, my favorite actor Tom Cruise.4.Do you want to be a superstar?Definitely no! Being a celebrity means that I might lose my privacy and I really detest the feeling of being stared by the paparazzi. And it is very likely that I would be criticized by some people who know me only from the distorted reports in the attention-grabbing tabloids. Although being famous can bring a large amount of money, I still don't want to sacrifice my personal life.2020年8-12月雅思口语题库及范文4题目:1.How can we protect wild animals?2.What wild animals do you like most?3.Have you ever seen any wild animals before?4.Do you like to go to the zoo?范文:1.How can we protect wild animals? There are several ways to protect wild animals. As a normalperson, we could stop buying anything made of the wild animals’ body parts, for example, fur products and ivory products. At the same time, our government could also take action to stop the relative manufacturing activities. And I believe it is urgent to build more nature reserves. We should put more money and manpower into it.2.What wild animals do you like most?My favorite wild animals are sea otters. They just seem to get so much enjoyment out of life. Maybe we should try to be more like otters. I also think it's cute how sea otters balance shells on their chests and break them open with rocks. Wolves are really cool too. They are very loyal and devoted to their families. I guess there are quite a few lessons we could learn from wild animals.3.Have you ever seen any wild animals before?Yes. I was so fortunate to see a yak in the plateau. They were large and hairy, ambling quietly. I was about to get out of the car and get a close-up of them, but my mom stopped me. The yak is not docile; they will run fast to escape once a stranger comes close. So, I could only watch them from a distance.4.Do you like to go to the zoo?Yes. Because it is the only way I (and many others too) would see these animals in person. Zoos also educate people about animals, and tell us about the ones in danger of extinction. Some animals are so in danger that there are more of them in zoos than in the wild. Zoos also take in animals that would otherwise be killed, because there is nowhere else for them to go.5.Have you ever kept pets?Yes. I had several ducklings when I was about 8 years old. I hadn’t wished to have my own pets. However, my mom had hoped to nurture my sense ofresponsibility, so she bought them and asked me to raise them. I started to love the little ducks, as they lined up after me every day, quacking for food. It made me feel that they depended on me. So I had to protect them.2020年8-12月雅思口语题库及范文5题目:1.What languages can you speak?2.Do you think it’s difficult to learn a new language?3.Will you learn other languages in the future?4.Why do you learn English?范文:1.What languages can you speak?Well, I can speak Mandarin, Cantonese and some English. Yeah, only some English. It’s not that I’m not familiar with English. I actually started to learn English when I was four or five years old. I can understand English when its spoken to me, and I read English magazines. However, speaking is never something I’ve been good at. In fact, I only started to speak English in recent years.2.Do you think it’s difficult to learn a new language?I think it’s difficult to truly master a language, yeah. I say so out of personal experience. A couple of years ago, I signed up for Spanish lessons. The beginning of it was so easy and interesting. However, I couldn’t carry on after two months when I had to make that weird tongue-twisting sound. Yeah, I was embarrassed to make that soun d. I quit it. So no, I don’t think it’s easy to learn a new language.3.Will you learn other languages in the future?I might. Yeah, it’s possible that I may have to learn new languages at some point, especially Japanese because my sisterhas moved to Japan. She has been granted permanent residency. We are very close, and I do plan to visit her often in the future. So, I may take Japanese lessons in the future, just so I can enjoy my stay there.4.Why do you learn English?I chose to learn English because learning a language gives me a lot of satisfaction. I enjoy learning it, and I know that every hour I spend gets me closer to perfection. Besides, by learning English, I also learn about other cultures. Few experiences will make me grow as a person more than learning the values, habits and way of life in a culture that is different from mine.。

2020年5-8月雅思口语话题part1范文:Teachers(老师)1.Do you think you could be a teacher?你觉得你可以做老师么?I don’t think I am suitable to be a teacher, I am not a patient man and cannot bear to repeat the same things frequently. Teachers’ job is really boring to me, you have to make your explanations as easy as possible for students to fully understand. It is a challenging job, I am afraid I cannot do it.2. Do you have a favourite teacher?你有最喜欢的老师么?Um… Yeah, I suppose I do, but it’s actually kind of hard to pick out a favourite because I’ve been really lucky with all my teachers. You know, they’ve been really great, at least most of them anyway, but I guess my favourite teacher would have to be my Chinese language teacher, because she was incredible. I mean, the amount of effort she put into her teaching, and her attention to detail, were just amazing. And not only that, but she also showed a genuine care for all of us, which left a really deep impression on me. So yeah, out of all my teachers, I’d say she was probably my favourite.3.What are the qualities of a good teacher?好老师所具有的品质有?I should say a good teacher is one who always is well prepared for the class. And I guess if the person has a good senseof humour that would help because, you know, boring, ah, session, nobody would sit in the class, you know, hours after hours.4.Should teachers use discipline in the classroom?老师可以在教师里规训学生么?Coming from where I, um, am, I think yes, teachers should discipline students. In Korea, students would respect the teachers. My mum’s generation was more so, and my mum had to say one day, she thought teachers don’t eat, don’t go to the toilet, they are demi-Gods and wouldn’t even step on the shadow of the teacher, because you respect the teacher so much. But I don’t think same kind of respect is here and students sometimes misbehave during class hours and I just find it hard to understand.5.Do you want to be a teacher someday?你将来想成为老师么?Umm! not really. I have not given it that much thought. But among my many career plans, entering in the teaching profession is not the one that ever attracted me.6. Why people choose to become teachers?人们选择做老师的理由是?People mostly choose to be teachers because this is the profession which is praised across the world. People always pay proper respect to a teacher regardless of geographical location. Moreover, when the knowledge is spread among the students, the teachers receive an unimaginable pleasure.7.What kind of person makes a good teacher?怎样的人会成为一个好老师?Teaching is considered as the best profession in the world. The teachers help the students to grow. So, to be a good teacher, one needs to be sincere and punctual. Moreover, vast subject knowledge is also required or you cannot share knowledge with your students. Behaving gently with the students is also a standard to be a good teacher.8.Do you like strict teachers?你喜欢严格的老师么?Yeah I do. I have no problem with them at all, as long as they’re fair! Because I think, on the whole, they tend to set high standards, and so consequently, that makes us work harder and learn more. And the other good thing about strict teachers is that they keep students in line, which means that the class won’t be interrupted by slackers who just want to joke around and be a nuisance.9.What’s the difference between young and old teachers?年轻的老师与年长的老师有什么区别?There’s probably not all that much difference actually, but I guess the main one would be the level of experience. You know, I think it’s fair to say that old teachers tend to have more experience than young ones, and so they’ll be more skilled at adapting to any kind of situation that might arise in class, whereas young teachers might struggle. So that’s one difference, and I suppose another might be the use of technology, cos probably a lot of old teachers might stick to the traditional teaching methods they’re f amiliar with, whereas young teachers, I think, are more likely to bring technology into their teaching, such as using iPads and laptops in class. So yeah, I’d say these are probably the main differences.雅思口语话题describe a teacher说到老师,我们雅思口语考试中描述人物的Teacher 可是考中率排在前三的一个topic, 给大家分享一个例题。

Soon I became very interested in it . English exams were very easy to me and I always got the highest marks in my class . Then I succeeded in the College Entrance Examination and was admitted into a college . In the college , however , English seemed more and more difficult . Instead of learning grammar , I had to read long articles full of new words and strange sentence patterns . Listening was not easy , either . But I kept on working hard . With the help of my English teacher , I really made great progress . Besides reading and listening , I hope to improve my spoken and written English . Our country will keep its reform and opening policy to the outside world and every field needs a lot of people who master English . I am going to be one of such people in the future . 2.自信 Self - confidenceSelf - confidence refers to the firm belief in ones capability to do something well . In many cases , self - confidence is crucial to ones success because on the one hand , it provides a solid psychological ground for ones work , on the other hand , it is based on an evaluation of ones understanding of a certain kind of knowledge done by oneself . Self - confidence is an important psychological factor in our work . We can safely draw the conclusion that being given the same kind of work , a self - confidence person will find the work much easier and more interesting than one that holds a gloomy view on ones own ability . Similarly , when facing a patient , the doctor who is quite confident of his diagnosis is more likely to give much comfort to the patient and therefore achieves more satisfying result than a doctor who isnt because the self - confidence of a doctor greatly influences his patients mood . However , we shouldnt confuse self - confidence with conceit . The former is based on a thorough understanding of knowledge one has acquired but the latter isnt . Conceit may make people succeed temporarily , but that wont last , nevertheless , self - confidence is forever a help , a stimulus to ones success . 3. 电视疏远家庭成员的关系 You should spend about 40 minutes on this task . Some people believe that the spread of TV has made families less。
I mean, yeah, there are new hair trends almost every season, but I just don’t see the point of(不理解为什么) following them. I think it has to be neat and clean, and that’sall. If I’m living at home, I normally just walk on the street near my home. You m ean, apart from when I’m studying? Uh, I don’t know, when I’m trying to complete something dangerous, like chopping carrots, or sewing(缝) something. Cuz, apparently, I may get injured by knives or needles if I don’t fully concentrate. It did happen last summer. One afternoon I was cooking while talking to my mom, when suddenly I cut my finger. Fortunately, it wasn’t a deep cut.2.What may distract you when you are trying to stay focused?Well, a sudden and big noise, for instance. Say, if I am trying to work out an academic problem, and there is a huge thud(砰地一声) in the living room, of course, I’d stop working and start wondering if my dad clumsily(笨手笨脚地) tripped over himself, like, again. I’d have to check if there’s a problem, and that’s just huma n nature.3.What do you do to help you concentrate?Mostly I just move my mobile and other devices to another room. If I’m really keen on something, I don’t really need any assistance in keeping my c oncentration. For instance, if I’m reading a book that I really like, I’dprobably skip meals(忘食) simply because I forget them completely. But sometimes when I’m tired and still need to work, I need an absolutely quiet room to make sure I won’t get dist racted.2020雅思口语话题题库范文4题目:1.Do you wear jeans?2.How often do you wear jeans?3.Do you like wearing jeans, why?4.Why do you think jeans are popular?范文:1.Do you wear jeans?Yes, absolutely. This is a really comfortable material, but alsodurable enough to avoid everyday wear and tear . I don’t really think my voice has those qualities.。

Describe a TV presenterWell, there are so many different TV programs on show everyday in diversified channels; hence there are thousands and thousands of TV presenters we can see. Some may leave us a very deep impression while others may not leave a thing in our mind. Here, I’d like to talk about the TV presenter I love, Wuzongxian, although others may h ave a mixed feeling about him.Being a TV presenter in Taiwan, Wu started his career in the field of variety shows in the late 1980s, and then he became famous because of his unique style of hosting TV programs and therefore the TV programs he hosted are constantly ahead in the ratings. All these earn him the top salary among those TV presenters in Taiwan, being the local king for many rs. In 2008, he even won the Golden Bell Awards in television industry. His fast reaction and tactfulness in hosting is among the first class, second to few others, and gradually, he formed his own style of hosting TV programs. Because he likes to use those popular words on the internet, and his figure is not like othermiddle-aged men, he is quite popular among the young audience. However, he also likes to rip on people, open the low gun, speak nonsense, and disrespect women, which, meanwhile, bring him a lot of criticisms. Thanks to the change of the criteria of assessment, Wu was nominated three times for the best TV presenter in 2006,2007 and 2008, and successfully won the golden bell award in 2008 with the po pular program “guess, guess, guess””This is also the best affirmation to him. When I feel stressed, and in my spare time, I like to watch the program he hosts, I like to enjoy the relaxation and laugh out my pressures by seeing him on the screen. He is really a great TV presenter in my mind.Describe an artistWell, you know, when we are pursuing a more fashionable life, various kinds of arts are being created. However, compared to the achievements and levels of those artists in our history, it is hard to find out one who is more outstanding. Therefore, to describe an artist, I would like to talk about Qi baishi. One of the ten top artists in the 20th century in China, and also well-know through out the world.I became to know him when I was in the middle school, when my father, one day, came back home very excitedly, because he successfully got one painting of Qibaishi. However, a week later, my father was disappointed because the painting turned out to be a fake. Later, I am quite interested in gathering all possible information about this artist and his art works. Under his brush, each flower, bird, fish and even an insect is amazingly vivid, while the hills, the waters and the figures are all perfect, showing the wisdom and philosophy of life and thus moving the readers directly. In his 80s, he was especially famous for his talents in drawing shrimps. He was so hard working that in his life time, he had produced more than 30000 paintings and 3000 poems. He is a great artist because of his profoundachievement in the filed of paintings, calligraphies, poems and seals, because of his combination of the folk art and traditional art, because of his integration of paintings from the life and paintings with freehand.I really admire him.Describe a new lawWell, to provide a secured life for the public, every year the government of China is improving in its law system by updating those already existed ones or by issuing new ones. Here, I would like to talk about a new law that was just in practice in January 1st this year. It is about the regulations on advertisements on TVs and Radios. For a time in the past, there are great varieties of advertisements on TVs and radios, but due to lack of proper management and supervision, there exist a lot of misleading or unhealthy advertisements, which exert a negative influence on the general public. And therefore, in January 1st, this new regulations were called into practice. In this new law, it does not allow any misleading advertisements, or advertisements that contain unhealthy information, such as violence, pornography, disgusting pictures, unhealthy life attitude. Also, it does not allow any advertisements about cigarettes, and those about liquors are limited to a larger extent. In addition, it also regulates about the timing, the periods about the advertisements. In this way, this new law tends to provide the public a much healthier living environment. And from its practice over the past months, the public, especially the children, do have a much better exposure of information from TV and radio programs. I do hope that more and more news laws that are intended to improve our life are issued in the future.Describe a modern buildingWell, everyday there are new buildings being constructed. No matter in what styles they are built, as long as they are using the modern techniques andmodern materials, they are modern buildings. Here, I’d like to talk about the Hangzhou grand theater, a very special modern building. Made of steel and glass, golden in color, it looks like a sun resting on the earth. Designed by internationally known Canadian architect, Hangzhou Grand Theatre covers 100,000 square meters with a total construction area of 55,000 square meters. It consists of an opera house, a concert hall, a multifunction hall, an open air stage and a culture square. The silky titanium roof symbolizes the pearl; the slant surface made of the double curved glass curtain wall represents the moon; a pool of over 6000 square meters in front of Hangzhou Grand Theatre stands for the beautiful West Lake. Located in the center of the building and looking like a U shape, the Opera House has altogether 1600 seats with red color as its basic tune. Designed as a classical shoe box, the concert hall has totally 600 seats with blue color as its basic tune. Breaking through the traditional mode, with 400 seats, lifts and chairs that can be turned up and down, the Multifunction Hall can achieve theflexibility of space arrangement according to specific requirements. With the performing stage surrounded by the seats, and the whole stage surrounded by a water-pool with a total accommodation of 1000 people, the Open Air Stage imitated ancient Roman classical style of architecture. Hangzhou grand theater is really a modern building, and a very special one. describe a wild animalWell, china is a country with a vast territory, and on this land there are thousands of different wild animals. I am from zhejiang province, so here I ‘d like to talk about a wild animal-the boars, which are not rarely seen in zhejiang province. I know a little about them because people in my hometown like to take them as food. the boars are like a pig, but live in the wild. gray in skin, the boars are usually covered with dark or dakish brown hair, and the ears are pointy but small, the mouths protruding but long, the legs long but slim. Also, boars have relatively smaller heads , darker feet, straighter backs, sharper teeth and shorter tails as compared to normal pigs. The boars often come out in groups to find food in the early morning or in the late afternnon, and hide inside the forests to stay away from the sunshine during the daySince the stomaches of the boars are ver y good cures to people’s stomachaches, and the tough and tensile meat of the boars are liked more by pople that the meat from pigs with some fat, a large number of boars were hunted, hence the chinese government is now listing them as protected animals. Luchily, more and more boars are farm-raised, providing people the luck to have a taste. That is the wild animal that I would describedescribe a place with a lot of noiseWell, in this society, when people are hustling and bustling here and there, it is rather difficult to find a very quiet place to enjoy ourselves. And around the places such as an airport, a bus station, a constructionsite, the noise is sometimes even unbearable. Unluckily, my home is just beside one, the construction site for one metro exit in Hangzhou. You know, since the April last year, the city government launched this great project to build the metro system in Hangzhou. You know, it is a project that is allowed by the government to do even at night, so from then on, we have been suffering from the noise day and night. At the first stage, the original buildings on the site were pulled down and the ground was dug deep, which produced the shocking noise, even sometimes made us feel like a small earthquake outside. You know the knocking on the original concrete, the separating of the steel, the clearing of the land, the running of the construction trucks, wow, just too much noise. And later, the cutting of the iron and steel, the stirring of the concrete, the running of the machines, the moving of those construction material, all aggravate the noise around us. Life is not just a nightmare for us, since it is so hard to fall asleep everynight. But it seems that all of us living around are now trying to bear this. We all hope that the project can finish soon, so that we could not only enjoy our quietness, have a good sleep, but also take advantage of the convenience brought by the metro system, not to say smile at the increase of the price of our real estates along with it.Describe an international famous personWell, you know, there are so many people in the world that are famous. Some are famous because they are successful in their fields, such as some artists, musicians, singers, scientists, businessman and so on.. However, other people are famous because of their luck or even because they have done something bad to this world. Here, I would like to talk about a famous person, Cameron, a director in the USA.Cameron is not a very productive director, but once his film is produced, it would be a masterpiece, such as the Titanic and Avatar. His films were so famous, that being an American; he is even known by millions and millions of Chinese. Cameron is famousbecause he has the talent. He is so creative, and brave, choosy and persistent. He is creative because his work will always surpass the others and leave very deep impression on us, he is brave because he dares to invest huge sum of money before the film is issued, he is choosy because he is particular about every detail in his work and in his production of movies, he is persistent because once he sets up a goal, he will stick to it without considering whether it will be successful or not. Because of this, his film, the Titanic, set a record by winning 8 prizes in Oscar, and this time, even when the film avatar is still on show, and I believe, he will win the next Oscar.I started to know Cameron from his films, but later I am interested in this person, and I tried to read anything that I can find about him on the Internet. He really inspired me a lot.He is famous. He is successful .He is my idolBeijingBeijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China, is the country’s political, economic and cultural centre.Beijing is located in the northern part of the North China Plain, surrounded by mountains on the north, east and west. It covers an area of 16,800 square kilometers. Beijing blends the traditional outlook and the spectacular view of the modern metropolis. The architecture of the Imperial Palaces of the Ming and Qing dynasties has been well preserved. There are so many historic places such as the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Temple of Earth and the Summer Palace. Beijing will be the host city of the 2008 Olympic Games, which will bring about more changes to the city.Describe a quiz TV showWell, it seems that many TV channels like to present some quiz shows to the public, such as “thelucky 52”in CCTV2, “happy dictionary”in CCTV 3, and “great competition of intelligence”in CCTV 1. But here, I’d like to talk about a quiz show from Shenzhen TV channel, which is named as “who is cleverer”.This quiz show brings the adults back to the primary school class, helps them recall those happy memories in the childhood, recollects those forgotten knowledge. It aims to attract audience of primary school students, as well as adults. In this quiz show, a group of primary school students and a team of adults are competing on the same stage, for those seemingly familiar and seemingly simple questions from primary school subjects. It is fun to see the embarrassment of those adult competitors unable to answer those easy questions, and it is also fun to see those primary students showing off their knowledge in front of their adult competitors. Altogether, there are 10 questions for each competitor, and those adults who can answer right all the 10 questions may have a chance to get the prize: 50 thousand YMB , but if he fail, he has to say to the audience, “wow, I am not so clever as a primaryschool student”and then he i s replaced by another adults.Wow, it’s so funny that after so many years education, almost no adults could win the game and get the prize. And it’s so interesting that this quiz show can bring so many parents and children in front of their TV sets to enjoy their get-together. I like the feeling of watching this kind of TV programs.童年Well, you know, in my childhood, I was really a naughty boy and I did a lot of naughty things, such as breaking the neighbor’s windows because of my poor football skills, beating other people’s pet dogs to see them bark around the yard, disguising myself as ghosts to scare other children, and so on. Even now when I recall those naughty things, smiles may still arise on my face. But here, I would like to talk about a naughty thing I did to my grandfather, because in the end I was praised because of my bad behavior. When I was 9 years old, it was the first summer holiday that I had as a student, my parents sent me to the countryside to live with my grandpa, coz they were too busy to take care of me in the daytime. Not like many other grandpas who may spoil their grandchildren, my grandpa was quite demanding on me. You know, I was only 9 years old, but during that summer holiday, he often asked me to go to the farmland with him to do the farming, even in the hot sunshine. And so I tried my best to avoid doing the labor. One day, together with my grandpa, we planted corns in the filed. My grandpa was ahead, digging holes for me to cast the corn seeds inside. And he worked so hard that he dug the holes faster than I could sow the seeds. In order to work less and try to finish the work quickly, I sowed much more seeds than were needed for one hole, and soon we ran out of corn seeds. Although there were still a lot of holes vacant, we had to finish the job and went back ho me. Yeah, not enough seeds. And I felt happy because my grandpa didn’t find out my trick. Several weeks later, the corn plants sprouted. In some places, there wereonly a few, but in others, there were a lot. And I was not aware that my trick would be discovered later when they grew out. Luckily, it happened that year we met a drought, and those sprouts did not grew well, even some of them died. My grandpa then divided some of the sprouts from those spare ones and planted them into those vacant holes. You know, my grandpa did not blame me for my trick, but praised about my “contribution”. He said: thank you boy, it is you that we could grow those corns so well in the field”.Well, my naughty behavior turned out to be a contribution. It was the only time that I got praise for my naughty behavior. Even now when I think about it, it’s still a funny memory.Describe a work or project you did with others(描述一个你与他人合作的项目或工作)Well, to say something I did with somebody else, I would talk about the project I did with my classmate in the summer holiday when I just finished my third-year schooling in the college. It was really something to me. It was an interview about more than a thousand credit card holders in Hangzhou, and the result was even now used by the professor in our university as a case for new students. I was one of the five-member team for that project. We discussed a day together about our questions to ask, and then made our first questionnaire of ten questions. But you know, we were quite nervous at first for fear of being rejected, and dare not to stop the strangers and then interview them. For a whole day in front of the department store, we only collected 3 papers. We were frustrated. That night, we gathered together in the dorm and encouraged each other, and we watched a video lecture called delivered by Anthony. From him, we had strength, and we learned that success is not based oncowardliness but on our courage to face difficulties. Then, the next day, we went there again and we successfully collected 92 papers. Wow, we were inspired by our own courage. After that, things became easier to us. We went to the supermarkets, the book stores, the movie theatres, and even the train stations. At the end of the 20th day, we successfully finished our interview. In the following week, we analyzed all the papers and found that, twice more women than men liked to use credit cards, and almost 90% of the card holders were people under 35. And among the cardholders, 95% of them had more than one card.Later, our professor valued highly about our work, and he even took it as a case to encourage the new students. From this, I learned that with cooperation, with wisdom from other members, with the encouragements from each other, and with the joint efforts, nothing will be so difficult.{原创范例} The handicraft I am going to talk about is the paper-cut one. Before almost every Spring Festival, my mom would buy piles of paper cuttings to decorate the home. They would be pasted on the windows and the entrances to bring good luck. But this year, I decided to make the decoration all by myself.讲述了从前母亲用剪纸布置房间的经历。
