1.Introduction （课程简介）

The MSW Programme is a professional training programme for non-social work first-d egree hol d ers who are d edicated to d evel op their career in social services. Stud ents are provid ed with intensive training in both acad emic theories and skills practice in multidisciplinary subjects. They woul d l earn how to integrate and apply acad emic knowl edge and skills into real-life situations within the social work context.

2.Mode of Study （修课模式）

2-year full-time programme 全日制两年

3-year part-time programme 兼职三年

3.Programme Structure （学科架构）

The curriculum involves two-year full-time or three-year part-time study. It will provide students with solid academic knowledge and professional skills for competent social work practice upon graduation.

课程包括两年全日制学习和三年兼职学习两种模式。通过为学生提供可靠的理论知识与专业技巧，使学生能够在毕业时充分掌握并具备较强的社会工作实务能力。

Students are required to take ten core courses to strengthen their basic knowledge in social work. These foundational courses include theory and practice of social work, social work research, social policy, social science theories, human behavior and social environment, abnormal psychology, law and social work, management of social services and practice training.

学生必须修满10门必修课程来强化他们的社会工作基础知识。这些基础课程包括社会工作理论与实务，社会工作调查研究，社会政策，社会学科理论，人类行为与社会环境，变态心理学，法律与社会工作，社会服务管理与实务培训。

To further enhance the students’ professional skills and academic knowledge, the students are required to take two practice electives

Apart from academic studies and professional skills training, students have to complete 900 hours of field placement under the supervision of qualified and experienced social workers. They also have to complete a dissertation (or two additional electives) for graduation. Details of the curriculum design are listed as follows:

4.Admission 入学资格

To be eligibl e for admission to the courses leading to the d egree of Master of Social Work, candidates

预申请本校社会工作硕士的申请者，须首先满足以下条件（a, b, c, d同时满足）：

(a)shall hol d

取得学位（i, ii至少满足一种）

i. a Bachelor’s d egree with honours of this University; or

获得本学校的学士学位；或

ii.another qualification of equivalent standard from this University or from another University or comparabl e institution accepted for this purpose;

and

获得其他具有同等资格的大学学士学历或其他有资历的机构认可的相关学历。

(b) shall comply with the General Regulations; and

(c) with qualifications from a university or comparabl e institution outsid e Hong Kong where the language of teaching or examination is not English are required (unless exceptionally exempted) to obtain

如原毕业院校为非香港的院校，其具备申请资格，但其教学和考试语言媒介不是英语的（特殊情况除外），应该取得以下英语成绩（i, ii, iii至少满足一种）：

i. a score of 550 or above (paper-based test) or 80 or above (internet-based

test) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL);or

托福550分或以上（笔试）；80或以上（网考）；或者

ii. a minimum overall band of 6 with no subtest lower than 5.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); or

iii.grade C or above in either
