(The 10 Most Important Things to Simplify in your Life )
(The 10 Most Important Things to Simplifyin your Life )“洁净,简易,是人类翱翔于天地的双翼。
Simplify:7 Guiding Principles to Help Anyone Declutter Their Home and Life。

Take walks more often. Stop and look at a babbling brook. Sit in an oversized chair at Barnes & Noble and read a great book. Observe an elderly couple holding hands. Life is made up of these small and seemingly insignificant things. They aren’t insignificant. Be sure to take the time to appreciate them.
Being outdoors is good for you. Soak in the sunlight, get those endorphins kicking, and enjoy the beauty that nature offers.

We all know someone that remembers every birthday and sends cards for every holiday. It’s not magic and they don’t use memorization. Trying to remember things will not help you to stay organized. You should try writing things down.
A pen and some paper is our way of remembering things externally, and it’s much more permanent. You can also use a computer or a sm art phone. You will only further complicate your life by trying to contain important dates and reminders in your head. Write down everything: shopping lists for groceries, holiday gifts, home decor, and important dates like meetings and birthdays.

As much as you hate working on the weekends, doing just a little planning ahead of time can make your Mondays much better. This can be as simple as getting a full night’s sleep (instead of staying up late on Sunday) or packing your lunch the night before. One of my personal favorites, though, is taking five minutes during the weekend to “pre-prioritize” your Monday. Grab a notepad or planner and jot down the first three tasks you need to complete Monday morning. Then stick to them.
Wake up earlier than you need to. Time management is a lot easier when you have a lot of time to spare. Plan on getting up at least a half hour earlier than you think you really need to. It might be difficult to roll out of bed early, but that extra 30 minutes will save your day when (not if) something unexpected happens.

Research has shown that writing down what you're thankfulfor can lead to a multitude of wellness benefits. In order to reap the full benefits of journaling, Emmons,a gratitude researcher and psychology professor at the University of California, recommends writing for five to 10 minutes every other day. "You really need to commit to doing it, and if you write it down eventually it will become more automatic," Emmons says. "It's like exercise, you need to have a plan. You need to have a gratitude action plan, whether it's waking up and writing in the morning or in the evening before you go to sleep."

When you don’t understand how something works, let an expert show you. Never hesitate to help someone. It’s fairly simple but it goes a long way. Don’t be non-mittal and say something vague like, “Can I help you?” because they might just say, “No, I’m good.” The key i s to not sound patronizing. Be specific. “I had the same problem with this coffee machinein the morning. I think I have figured a way to make it work.” Offer in a way that feels mutually beneficial.

We all want to succeed. Whether it’s in losing weight, learning the guitar, speed reading, or starting our own business. For those of us who have tried and failed, success seems elusive. Why is it one person succeeds where another person fails? First and foremost, I believe it is in their mindset. But secondly, I believe that successful people have developed certain habits, either naturally o r through research, that the rest of us haven’t stumbled upon yet. I’ve made a list of some habits to help you set goals and achieve them.1. Identify your core valuesWhat is important to you? Finding your core values may seem a bit off-topic when it comes to success, but creating goals that are in line with your values is key to creating intrinsicmotivation. Sit and reflect on what you value most. Pick a handful of things and actually write them down. Remind yourself of your values every day, and reflect on whether you are honoring those values through your work.2. Pick a goal (Focus)Choose one goal to start. Something large enough that will give you a sense of accomplishment, while aligning well with your core values. Focus is key here. The more focused you are on onegoal, the higher chance you have of success. If you spread yourself too thin, you might never complete your projects because they will take far too long. Believe me, multitasking isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.3. Set a deadline for successSet a date for success. Identify when you hope to achieve your goal. Keep it realistic, while not giving yourself too much time. By setting a time limit, you are making the process more real.4. Build the right mindsetBelieve fully in your ability to achieve your goal. Visualize yourself having completed your goal in the exact time-frame you have chosen, although finishing early is also acceptable. You don’t need to consider the failures that will happen along the way. Success is inevitable. Others may t hink you will fail, don’t let yourself be one of them! (If you have trouble visualizing success, perhaps a fear of success is limiting you.)5. Consequences for missing your deadlineSet up negative consequences for missing the deadline. Necessity is the mother of all invention. If you can manage to keep yourself intrinsically motivated, that’s great. If not, this will help kick you into gear and keep your eye on the prize.6. Weekly and Daily Goals (Plan)Break down goals by week and by day, setting up a plan to reach your overall objective. Keep the number of tasks per day as low as you can, and focus on completing only your planned tasks for each day. If you find yourself done, pick the next thing from your weekly list. Do the hardest things during your peak energy level, which usually means doing them first!7. PrioritizePrioritize the tasks you have in front of you. Don’t always do the most urgent thing first. Pick the task that’s the most important. Sometimes these overlap, which is nice. By always acc omplishing what’s most important, you are making clear progress toward your goal. Also keep in mind that completing the hardest task first is a sure-fire way of increasing your productivity. If you put it off until later in the day, your energy level is bound to drop, and finishing the hard task will seem daunting and maybe even impossible. But, if you start off with the hardest task, when your energy level is high, you will have the focus and energy required to finish it off.8. Take risksPush yourself. Go out of your comfort zone. This is the best way to learn, and the best way to make progress quickly. If you’re looking for new ideas, being risk averse will not help. This takes a lot of self-awareness. Try and be conscious of when you are holding yourself back out of fear. Push yourself to be courageous, and take that next step.9. PerseveranceFailure is inevitable when you take risks, which is what you’ll be doing if you want to succeed. By its very definition, the desire to succeed at something means you are risking failure. Many people tend to give up far too early. Don’t fall into this trap! Remember your mindset earlier, and visualize your success. Know it will happen. A failure is merely you working out the details, and learning what works and wha t doesn’t. Use failure. Treat it as a good thing, and march on!10. ReflectTake time every day to sit quietly and reflect on your values, goals, and progress made so far. Where have you excelled, andwhere can you do better. Is everything you are doing still lining up with your core values? Always look for ways to improve.11. LearnNever stop learning. Know what everyone else is doing, and what everyone else has done, and how they did it. Search wide for knowledge that might help you, and any inspiration that may do the same. Never think you have nothing to learn from others.。

1. They are open to criticism他们乐于接受批评Just because you’re the boss, doesn’t mean you are right every time. It doesn’t mean you have the best ideas. Learn to back up your ideas or decisions with reason. Use logic to explain things, not authority. By doing this your decisions might invite criticism, butyou will also get an opportunity to improve.
2. They admit their mistakes他们都承认错误My friend’s boss made a huge mistake by tying up with an event management company. The whole purpose of the tie-up was to promote his company but it failed miserably. Instead of defendinghis idea and carrying on as if nothing happened, he apologised to the team for not including them in the decision making. It’s OK to admit you were wrong. You will not only gain the respect of yourteam mates, you will also gain credibility.
3. They are generous with compliments他们毫不吝啬赞美之词Remember the time, say in school or at work when you worked really hard but got nothing in return. Not even a thank you. It hurts when your efforts are not recognized. So every chance you get to praise someone, do it. A simple, “That was some great work, keep it up,” can go a long way in making the employee feel great about them self. A compliment can have a positive impact on their lives. Your team/family will love you for it.
4. They are sensitive to others他们对他人都很敏感Think about a time you complimented someone and the recipient changed the topic? Maybe he or she was uncomfortable. But you still were not amused were you? Similarly, when you feel awkward receiving a compliment or an award, remain in control and give theperson in front of you a genuine smile and thank him or her. Don’t make the moment sour by acting on your insecurities.
5. They ask for help他们寻求帮助When you need help, don’t be arrogant or shy and stop yourself. If you’re lost on the road, it is fine to ask for directions. Everyone needs a little help sometime. When you ask for help, you receive help. By doing so, you’re letting people know you’re no superhuman, that you’re willing to listen, you also need support at times…which only show you could become a great leader someday.
6. They apologize when needed他们该道歉的时候就道歉We all make mistakes, but what makes a person big is when he is ready to apologize. Don’t try to hide behind excuses: “I didn’t mean to say it, it just happened.”“I was irritated with such and such person so…” No. Don’t try to shift blame. Just come right out and say you’re sorry.
7. They are willing to learn他们乐于学习When you don’t understand how something works, let an expertshow you. When you let someone teach you something, you are telling the person that you respect their talent, time and that youbelieve he knows what he is talking about. That you respect their experience. Always be willing to learn, because there is no way in hell to know everything.
8. They are helpful他们乐于助人Never hesitate to help someone. It’s fairly simple but it goes a long way. Don’t be non-committal and say something vague like, “Can I help you?” because they might just say, “No, I’m good.” The key is to not sound patronizing. Be specific. “I had the same problem with this coffee machine in the morning. I think I have figured a way to make it work.” Offer in a way that feels mutually beneficial.
