In this technological era, technology has penetrated every aspect of our lives including the way we teach and learn. However, some people have gone further and think that books should be abandoned completely in the learning process and they should replaced with computers and other media forms. Personally, I do not agree with this opinion as learning from books has countless advantages. To begin with, it is undeniable that the using of computers and other media forms in the classroom would enrich the teaching process and make it more interactive and fun. For example, computers can be used for writing assignments and other classroom activities which are interactive and easy to correct by teachers. In addition, computers provide a visual representation of information and make it easy for students to learn and remember it. Therefore, it is understandable why many people believe that books should be replaced with videos, films and computers.Nevertheless, computers should never replace books as it has been proven that they have several benefits. Firstly, learning from books improves cognitive abilities and develop the imagination rapidly which is vital especially in early school years. Secondly, only by using books children can learn handwriting which is an essential part of learning and crucial for strengthening small hand muscles that are used in complicated and precise tasks later on in life.In conclusion, it is true that the usage of computers and other means of media is necessary in schools nowadays. However, the existence of books is also vital. Thus, it is hoped that schools around the world embrace the approach of using both of them in their classrooms.。

SMST-321 Assignment ⅡⅠResearch topic:In recent years, with the rapid growth of new media, the death of print media has been discussed among international press circles. Traditional print media are regarded as a sunset industry, and will disappear in the near future. Although many people worry about the prospect of print media when facing the new media situation, as an important and long-lasting information channel, print media still perform significant and unreplaceable effect. From this sense, print media still have opportunities brought by new media. In order to get a better understanding of the relationship between traditional print media and new media, the researcher aims at studying what challenges and opportunities are brought by new media to traditional newspaper industry?Ⅱ Literature Review:Introduction:The selected 6 references provides a general background and new trend of print media and new media. It can be found that traditional newspaper industry faces challenges from new media, especially the internet media. However, with the existing strengths, newspaper industry can flexibly take use of the trend of media convergence, and realize sustainable development.References 1:Meyer (2009) warns that if newspapers keeps declining with the current speed, the last reader would read the last newspaper in April 2040.Existence of the internet directly takes away a considerable number of newspaper readers. In recent ten years, the young generation grow up with the internet, newspapers almost have no attractiveness to them. They become more accustomed togaining news information from new media. Development of the internet also const antly changes people’s reading habits, leading to original newspaper readers’ decreased dependency on newspapers (Meyer, 2009). With social progress and strengthened self-consciousness of people, they have stronger desire to participate in right of speech in social public life. They no longer satisfy with receiving print media information passively but want to express their own views about received information, let the society hear their voices, so as to gain the satisfaction of participating social governance. While only new media can provide people with platforms of free speech, which is the largest advantage of new media compared with traditional print media . All in all, the nature of new media’s challenges to print media is reducing newspaper reader group and influence of newspapers, causing circulation and advertising benefit to decrease.References 2:This book reveals that how innovation in online newspapers becomes an ongoing process in which different combinations of initial conditions and local contingencies lead publishers along divergent paths of content creation. An important opportunity for print media is trend of media convergence. Media convergence refers to traditional media and new media cooperate with each other and supplement with their own strengths with the promotion of new communication technology, in order to reach the largest information distribution ability. For current operation of print media groups, the trend of media convergence is far from enough. Traditional print media can take advantage of the internet, so as to keep the huge audience group, guarantee the survival foundation and development prospect of newspapers. The fundamental issue of traditional print media’s transformation and upgrading is not just opening the internet and mobile edition, but how to use new technological platforms and new communication means to satisfy more audiences’ demand, attract readers and advertisers to return, and sell newspapers more broadlywith the most effective marketing method. This is not the simple translation from traditional media to new media, but should create a brand new and stereoscopic cross-media marketing and operating mode.References 3:Pavlik (2013) points out that journalism is undergoing the most fundamental transformation. In the spring of 2009, another two well-known newspaper withdrew from the print media industry. On February 26th, due to millions of dollars of loss, Rocky Mountain News would be closed after 150 years of history (Pavlik, 2013). On March 16th, Seattle Post-Intelligencer announced to give up the print edition and only released the online edition in the future (Pavlik, 2013). However, new media can revitalize news gathering and reengage an increasingly distrustful and alienated citizenry.Pavlik (2013) points out that an opportunity for print media is the trend of fragmentation. Through the strategy of segmenting such as regional area news classification, industry segmentation, lifestyle segmentation, print media can effectively deal with challenges from new media. Currently, the main characteristic of fragmentized development is print media perform their regional feature to extreme, use detailed localized news narration to resist internationalized news trend. For example, Southern Urban Daily, one of the most respected newspapers in China, specially launches Shenzhen News, Guangzhou News, Zhuhai News, Zhongshan News etc. to reflect local news. While such fragmentized development is difficult for internet media to surpass. Through this strategy, Southern Urban Daily regains huge vitality. Therefore, it is practical for other print media to seize the opportunity of localization, regionalization and fragmentation to cover differentiated news, so as to gain new survival space.References 4:Traditional media should find their positions in the age of media convergence, storage relevant technology and talents. USA Today is just a successful example of the intimate interaction of newspaper and internet.Specifically, print media can combine their own advantages with the advantages of the internet, including fast update, huge information amount and users. Thus print media can set up independent websites to form cross-media comprehensive information platforms. Internet media can largely make up for drawbacks of print media, because they can break through layout and time limitations of print media and realize round-the-clock operation. Meanwhile, the internet can provide readers more contents than print media. For example, all types of services (weather forecast, transportation situation, shopping guidance etc.), and internet technology can integrate all relevant local information into an online database. This database can be a window platform of cities on the internet. Existence of the internet provides an excellent technological platform for print media to realize all-round cross-media and cross-regional expansion (Jenkins, 2006). Print media operators can take full use of this high-tech platform, combine print contents and digital contents, so as to increase attractiveness to consumers and advertisers.References 5:Flew, T. (2005). New media: An introduction. Oxford University Press. This book overviews the historical development of new media, relevant new media theories with contemporary case studies, which can be used as the background of this research.Reviewing history, print media was once the dominant media. Till today, all kinds of media forms coexist and integrate with each other, including newspapers, broadcast, TV and internet. Currently, all kinds of print media, such as daily, weekly, monthly and seasonally, they use time as the coordinate. All types of working modes and staff allocation are also made on the basis of time. However, existence of TV media directly apply the concept of time in business, thus generated the concept of primetime (Flew, 2005). When online communication makes all news be reflected and spread, media communication and news almost reach synchronization, thus time becomes plane space in internet media. Meanwhile, as internet media achieve interactivity and participation through technological platforms, audience no longer passively receive information communication, but receive information in participation, interaction and selection. Audience can even become the creator and spreader of information.References 6:Negroponte, N. (1996). Being digital. Random House LLC.Negroponte points out that development of information technology would revolutionize people’s way of learning, working and entertaining. Digitalization also brings huge hits to traditional media industry. It cannot be denied that print media has been severely hit by new media. However, compared with new media such as the internet, traditional print media still have many strengths (Negroponte, 1996). Firstly, print media are more convenient and economical, people can obtain news without limitations of tool or place, as long as they hold newspapers in hand . However, broadcast, TV, mobile news, internet media, electronic book all need to depend on electric or electronic terminals. They cannot be read randomly at anytime and anywhere like newspaper, and their costs are much higher than newspapers. Meanwhile, if people read news with electronic terminals for too long, they will suffer from visual fatigue, cervical pain etc. Therefore, vitality of these new media cannot surpass newspapers, they cannot totally replace print media.Secondly, coverage of print media has certain authenticity. In this internet age, all needed information can be found instantly. Occurrence of a news event can spread to the whole world within several seconds, but it is very difficult for people to distinguish credibility.Thirdly, print media are easy to be reserved. Before the existence of new media, print media played a vital role in human survival and development. Print media keep achievements of human civilization in black and white, which could not be revised ordaubed, so as to let readers read in future life, such performance is incomparable with other media. As a result, if print media can fully perform these intrinsic strengths and seek for technological support behind new media, print media will obtain new opportunities and realize sustainable development. Conclusion:Traditional print media and new media are not bitter rivals, there is no need for a life-or-death struggle. On the contrary, facing huge challenges brought by new media, print media should realize make their respective advantages complementary to new media, so as to achieve integration, co-existence and common prosperity. Digitalization of newspapers is not just competing with new media, the more far-reaching goal is the future development. All in all, it is a great opportunity for print media to openly embrace digitalization, proactively promote the progress of media convergence and seize the commanding height of media convergence.

The rise of new media in recent years has sparked an ongoing debate about whether it can eventually replace traditional media. While new media platforms have undoubtedly gained popularity and influence, it is unlikely that they will completely overshadow traditional media outlets.New media, which includes social media, online news platforms, blogs, and video-sharing websites, has revolutionized the way information is consumed and disseminated. With the advent of smartphones and easy access to the internet, individuals can now conveniently obtain news and interact with others on various digital platforms. This accessibility has led to a significantshift in how people consume information, particularly among younger generations.Traditional media refers to established outlets such as television, radio, newspapers, and magazines that have been around for decades. These mediums have a long-standingreputation for providing accurate and reliable news content. Traditional media outlets have also created strong networks for gathering news through investigative journalism and extensive reporting. While new media offers instant access to information and enables ordinary individuals to become content creators, it lacks the rigorous standards of verification thattraditional media upholds. Traditional media outlets uphold strict codes of journalistic ethics, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and objectivity in their reporting. They employ professional journalists who undergo rigorous training to fact-check stories before publishing them. Moreover, traditional media reaches a larger audience than new media platforms. Television channels still dominate prime time viewership across different demographics. Newspapers are read by a wide range of age groups andremain an important source of news for many communities. Radio programs continue to attract listeners during commutes or work hours.Another key aspect is credibility. Traditional media hasbuilt trust over the years due to its consistency in delivering reliable news content based on thorough research and investigation. On the other hand, new media lacks gatekeeping mechanisms that ensure the quality and authenticity of information shared on digital platforms. This often leads to the spread of misinformation or fake news. That being said, it would be unfair not to acknowledge the immense influence of new media. The rise of social media platforms, for example, has empowered individuals to be active participants in shaping public opinion and discourse. Online news platforms have also expanded the range of perspectives available to readers, providing a platform for marginalized voices. In conclusion, while new media has no doubt made asignificant impact on the media landscape, it is unlikelyto completely replace traditional media. Traditional media outlets have a strong foundation built on credibility, professionalism, and extensive reach. However, astechnology continues to evolve, it is essential for both traditional and new media to adapt and find ways to coexist harmoniously in an increasingly digital world.

With the rapid development of technology and the rise of social media platforms, there has been a heated debate over whether new media can replace traditional media. In this essay, we will explore the advantages and disadvantages of both forms of media and discuss whether new media has the potential to entirely replace traditional media.First of all, let us examine the advantages of new media. One of the biggest strengths of new media is its immediacy and interactivity. Social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram allow users to share information in real-time, engage in discussions, and interact with others from all over the world. This instantaneous communication has revolutionized the way we consume news and information. Furthermore, new media is also cost-effective and accessible to a larger audience compared to traditional media. Anyone with an internet connection can create and share content, making it easier for individuals and businesses to reach a global audience. On the other hand, traditional media has its own set of advantages. One of the key strengths of traditional media is its credibility and reliability. Newspapers, television, and radio have a long-standing reputation for providing accurate andtrustworthy information. Additionally, traditional media outlets have the resources and expertise to conduct in-depth investigations and analysis, which is crucial in deliveringhigh-quality journalism. Unlike social media, which can sometimes be a source of fake news and misinformation, traditional media upholds ethical standards and professional journalism practices.Despite the advantages of both forms of media, it is unlikely that new media will completely replace traditional media. While new media offers unprecedented speed and reach, traditional media still holds a significant amount of influence and authority. Many people still rely on newspapers and television for in-depth reporting and analysis, as well as entertainment and cultural content. Moreover, traditional media outlets have adapted to the digital age by establishing an online presence and engaging with audiences on social media platforms. In conclusion, new media has undoubtedly transformed the way we consume information and engage with the world around us. However, traditional media continues to play a vital role in providing credible and reliable news and entertainment. While new media may continue to grow in importance, it is unlikely that it will completely replace traditional media. Both forms ofmedia have their own strengths and weaknesses, and it is important to recognize the value of both in today's media landscape.。

2018-06-02: Task 2 (Qatar; Saudi Arabia)More and more people are reading news from the internet, but some of the people likes reading news from a newspaper.Do you agree or disagree.范文1:It is often argued that, in twenty first century the number of people who reading news in gadgets is increasing, however some people says newspapers will continue as a major source of news and information for the majority of people. I completely agree with this opinion and think news paper still play a pivotal role in the society because of various reasonsFirst of all, newspapers became a habit of the people mainly elderly, so they are not interested in reading news on gadgets. Some people especially elders reading newspapers everyday morning and this habit is now part of their routines. Thus, it is not that easy a transition from newspaper to gadgets. For example, my father has a habit of reading newspaper soon after he wakes up everyday morning. Now, although he has a smart phone, he prefer to read newspaper. There are many people in our society like my father. Hence, it is sure that newspapers will remain as a major source of news and information because it is a habit for the people. Moreover, newspaper is cheap and easy to access and even poor people can afford it comparing to the gadgets. Many poor people around the globe do not have a smart phone or computer, which are too costly for them. So the only option before them in order to acquire knowledge and news is newspapers. For example, in my home town newspaper cost only 5 Indian rupeesand this price is acceptable for even the poorest man in our city. Finally, to read news on gadgets people need a stable a continuous internet connection, which is still a dream for people in some parts of the world. For instance, some African countries still struggling for a continuous electricity connection. Hence, reading news on gadgets is absolutely impossible for people in that part of the world and their only way to getting news and information is newspapers. To conclude, I strongly believe newspaper continue as a major source of information for people around the globe because its cheaper, easy accessible and above all it is a habit of some people habit for the people.范文2:Despite the fact that increasing number of people are reading news online, some argue that newspaper are still preferred by a vast majority of people for reading news.I disagree with this and strongly believe that newspaper are losing their relevance because of the internet. There are many reasons behind the dwindling popularity of newspapers. Firstly, thebiggest disincentive of newspaper is the fact that it offers stale news. For instance, any recent happening or breaking news is published in the newspapers, the next day. People have to wait for an entire day to learn about events that are of their interest. Secondly, people are shying away from newspapers because of the price that they have to pay to get their hands on a newspaper. Although this price is trivial, people see no point in shelling out their money when the same news can be read online for free. Lastly, with increasing environmental concerns, more emphasis is being placed on digitization, which has immensely affected thereadership of newspapers. As a result, many newspaper companies have halted the publishing of traditional newspaper and are now offering news exclusively on the internet.Online news, on the other hand, has many benefits. To begin with, reading news on the internet is quite convenient and time saving. We can access internet anytime, anywhere using wide range of gadgets that are available at our disposal, such has laptops, smartphones, tablets etc. These gadgets provide better mobility as compared to a newspaper. Additionally, online news is updated almost instantly because of which a person can learn about latest happenings in real-time. Finally, internet offers a plethora of news articles with the ability to filter them according to the needs of the reader. In conclusion, I believe that newspapers are losing their relevance because of many cons associated with them and soon they will be surpassed by the internet to become the most preferred source for reading news.。

Differences between Online Media and Traditional MediaIn the digital age we live in, the media landscape has undergone a significant transformation. The rise of online media has changed the way people consume news and information, challenging the dominance of traditional media outlets. In this essay, we will explore the key differences between online media and traditional media. One of the most apparent differences between online media and traditional media is the speed of dissemination. Online media can deliver news instantaneously, allowing for real-time updates on breaking stories. Websites, social media platforms, and news apps enable users to access information at their fingertips, anytime and anywhere. In contrast, traditional media, such as newspapers, magazines, and television, have fixed publication schedules and broadcasting times, resulting in a delay in the delivery of news.Another difference is the format and presentation of content. Online media often incorporates multimedia elements such as videos, images, infographics, and interactive features to enhance storytelling and engage the audience. This dynamic andinteractive approach can make the content more compelling and immersive. On the other hand, traditional media typically relies on text-based articles and static images, limiting the ability to deliver a rich and diverse multimedia experience.Furthermore, online media offers a greater degree of customization and personalization. With algorithms and data analytics, online platforms can tailor content recommendations based on users' preferences, interests, and browsing history. This personalized approach ensures that users receive relevant and targeted content, enhancing their overall experience. In contrast, traditional media provides a one-size-fits-all approach, where the same content is distributed to all audiences without customization. In terms of reach and audience engagement, online media has a more extensive reach and global presence compared to traditional media. The internet has eliminated geographical barriers, allowing content to reach a global audience instantaneously. Social media platforms enable users to share and spread content virally, reaching a vast number of people across different countries and cultures. Additionally, online media allows for greater interaction and engagement with theaudience through comments, likes, shares, and polls, fostering a sense of community and participation. On the other hand, traditional media has a more established reputation and credibility among audiences. Newspapers, television networks, and radio stations have a long history of journalism excellence and a tradition of editorial integrity. Audiences often trust traditional media outlets for their accuracy, reliability, and professionalism. In contrast, online media, with its abundance of user-generated content and misinformation, faces challenges in establishing trust and credibility with audiences. In conclusion, online media and traditional media have distinct characteristics and advantages. Online media offers speed, interactivity, customization, and global reach, while traditional media provides credibility, professionalism, and a sense of tradition. Both types of media play essential roles in the media landscape, and each has its unique strengths and weaknesses. As technology continues to evolve, the line between online media and traditional media will continue to blur, creating new opportunities and challenges for media organizations and audiences alike.。

【1】Many people believe that television programs are of no value for children.Do you agree? Why or why not?Model Answer:Televisual media has become a pervasive force in the lives of families around the world today. Yet, a central question remains regarding whether watching television is harmful or beneficial for children. An analysis of this question reveals that television programs present three major concerns in the case of children, including depictions of violence, the use of profane language, and the representation of poor moral role models.Television programs that portray violence are a paramount concern for parents nowadays. Recent research has shown that children may commit acts of violence because they wish to emulate the behavior that they see on television. This is especially true when violent acts are committed by well-known action “heroes.” In addition, television programs show cartoon figures, as well as actors, committing violent acts. Using comic situations to depict violent themes causes further problems with the way in which young people view violence.Television programs that contain profane or disrespectfullanguage also worry parents with young children. Because censorship laws have relaxed over the past few decades, it has become very common for television programs of each and every kind to show characters expressing impolite, rude, and insulting utterances to one another. Bearing resemblance to the case of portrayals of violence, children unfortunately often try to imitate these actions they watch on their television screens. Finally, some parents are upset about the moral behavior depicted on television. As they struggle to teach their children moral and ethical values, parents might despair about the lack of morals and ethics represented in some of the so-called role models on television. For instance, certain characters not only have no remorse for their immoral actions, but also frequently go unpunished by larger society.Because of these factors, many parents believe that television programs send their youth the wrong kinds of messages. The emulation of this poor behavior by their children is something they wish to avoid at all costs, and they have accordingly decided to ban television in their households for these reasons. 【2】Advertising can tell you a lot about a country.Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?Model Answer:Every country has its own culture and traditions. There is no doubt that an advertising campaign conducted in Russia will not have the same affect here in the United States. Let us take for example advertisement of food and restaurants.A huge amount of fast food stands suggest their services for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper here in Houston. The competition is very strong. Every week you get in your mail-boxan envelope with different types of discounts in exchange for visiting them or ordering pizza. Watching TV you are also from time to time invited to visit a restaurant in order to taste some delicious food. It is not because it is easy to make money cooking but because the demand for such service is high. First of all, people like to go out sometimes to have dinner with friends. Second of all, it is often impossible to drive home for lunch. It can be time consuming. As for Russia, it is a great tradition to have dinner at home with the family and go to the restaurant for big holidays. Additionally fast food is not popular in Russia. So you will see advertisements of yogurts, coffee, dairy products and juice instead of restaurants and fast food stands. In conclusion I would like to add that in order to succeed in advertising campaign especially on the international market company must know traditions, language and history of the country.

In my opinion, although there are some drawbacks of this phenomenon, it offers lots of benefits which can offset those disadvantages to a large extent.Despite the drawbacks below, I believe that communication through social networking sites has many beneficial impacts on our day-to-day life. Firstly, people, nowadays, are not feeling alone even though they stay far away from their friends and family. To illustrate, they can easily share their exact location, actual status and condition with their loved ones that bring lots of happiness and emotional tranquility. Secondly, social media acts as a great platform to spread the news, events as well as to raise the public awareness on different issues. For instance, simply by uploading the photos or video clips or even by a few texting, anyone can easily spread his/her thinking, wish or advice to his/her followers and for sure this development has an enormous impact on our social life.Admittedly, there are some issues involved with online social connection. One problem is that traditional face-to-face contact might be declined which may impede the natural flow of prosocial and moral behaviors of people. For example, some people tend to share the snaps of the road accident victims instead of helping them in the scene. Another negative aspect is that browsing social media continuously would jeopardize user’s personal and social life as well as their mental health because of misinterpretation of available floating rumors and propaganda. However, these situations may be uncommon and only subjective. To conclude, definitely social media has opened a new horizon of communication with lots of privileges which clearly outweigh any drawbacks it might bring.。

Exposure to international media, such as TV, film and magazine, has a significant impact on the local culture. What do you think the impact has been? Do you agree that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Nowadays, the trend of international media overwhelming worldwide has been a heated social issue in debate. Personally, I think exposure to the global media has substantial influences on the local country, and its overall impact is negative, to the cultural extent.Firstly, the main impact of international media on the local culture is that this trend is reshaping and substituting traditional elements, specifically, encompassing patterns of behaviors, religious beliefs, values, customs, food, clothing, lifestyle, social norms and morals, sports, arts and architectures. For example, in China today, cheongsam, traditional silk-made clothes of females, has been gradually replacedwith the western-style dresses, jeans, tailored suits and trendy fashions, due to the advertisement campaigns of international famous brands on the Internet or global fashion magazines. Another typical example is the change on leisure activities. Compared with Chinese traditional exercise like Tai Chi Quan, a kind of kungfu with slow movement, pictures and videos about foreign extreme games on the Internet and Hollywood movies are more impressive and attractive. Expectedly, skateboarding, rock climbing and bungee jumping have been the most favored outdoor activities among the youth. What is more, this trend is risky, for the reason that such cultural invasion will endanger the survival of local culture. In a multi-cultural society, the local culture always fades, because of the high attraction of foreign ones. For example, during the process of cultural mergence, a whole China is monopolized with the exotic cultural items, from food of MacDonald to movies of Hollywood, from fashions of Paris to animations of Japan. In a long term, there would be a misunderstanding among the public that the global pop culture is superior to the local culture in China. Adversely, young generations would fail to respect and appreciate their own culture. In a long term, the national identities of China will go into extinction, because of the lack of popularity and protection. In conclusion, this trend causes cultural mixture, replacement, competition, as well as the possibility of the death of the local culture. Therefore, the international media should be restricted, in order to keep the diversity of cultures.。

More and more people are reading news online, but newspapers are still the main source of news for many people. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

New media forms based on the technology of internet could provide people more open access to various information regardless of spacial and temporal restriction.2. There is a wide range of information available on the internet, ranging from international news to learning materials for the IELTS exam.3. Modern media forms are interactive. They provide a platform where people sharing similar interest or aims could communicate with each other.4. Compared with traditional media, modern ones are environmentally friendly for the reason that they do not consume large amount of wood.

The Evolution of Media: A Comparison between Online and Traditional Platforms. In the rapidly evolving world of technology, the media landscape has undergone significant changes. The advent of the internet and digital technology has given rise to a new breed of media known as "online media," which has fundamentally altered the way information is disseminated and consumed. In contrast, traditional media, such as newspapers, television, and radio, have existed for decades and have established themselves as reliable sources of news and entertainment. This essay aims to compare and contrast the two media types, highlighting their unique strengths and challenges.Traditional Media.Traditional media has a long and rich history, dating back to the early days of printing and broadcasting.Newspapers, magazines, and television have been the mainstay of traditional media for decades, providing a platform for news, opinions, and entertainment. Radio, another form of traditional media, has been a popular source of music, news, and talk shows for many years. The strength of traditional media lies in its reach and familiarity. Newspapers and television are still widely read and watched, with a significant portion of the population relying on them for daily news and updates. Traditional media also enjoys credibility and trustworthiness, as it has been around for a long time and has established itself as a reliable source of information. However, traditional media faces several challenges in the digital era. Firstly, it is facing competition from online media, which offers a more interactive and personalized experience. Secondly, traditional media's revenue models are being challenged by the decline in advertising and subscription rates. Finally, the rise of social media has also altered the way people consume news and entertainment, making traditional media less relevantto some audiences.Online Media.Online media, on the other hand, has emerged as a powerful force in the media landscape. The internet has provided a platform for bloggers, influencers, and content creators to share their thoughts and ideas with a global audience. Social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have also become popular destinations for news and entertainment. The main strength of online media is its interactivity and personalization. Users can engage with content by liking, sharing, and commenting, creating a more dynamic and two-way communication. Online media also offers a more tailored experience, with content customized to individual interests and preferences. Moreover, online media has broken the barriers of geography and time, making it possible for people from different parts of the world to connect and shareinformation instantaneously. This has given rise to a global conversation where people can discuss and debate issues from a diverse range of perspectives. However, online media also faces its own set of challenges. Firstly, the sheer amount of content available online can be overwhelming, making it difficult for users to filter and find reliable information. Secondly, the rise of fake news and misinformation has tarnished thecredibility of some online media sources. Finally, online media's revenue models are also under pressure due to the decreasing attention spans of users and the challenges associated with advertising on digital platforms.Conclusion.In conclusion, both traditional and online media have their unique strengths and challenges. Traditional media enjoys credibility and familiarity but faces competition and changing consumption habits. Online media, on the other hand, offers interactivity, personalization, and global reach but struggles with credibility, information overload, and revenue models. As the media landscape continues to evolve, it is important for both traditional and online media to adapt and innovate. Traditional media can leverage digital technology to enhance their reach and engagement while maintaining their credibility and trustworthiness. Online media, on the other hand, needs to focus on curating high-quality content, combating misinformation, and developing sustainable revenue models to ensure their long-term viability.Ultimately, the future of media lies in a convergence of traditional and online platforms, where both can coexist and complement each other, offering a diverse range of content and experiences to meet the needs of a diverse audience.。

With the development of technology, the information age has brought about the emergence of new media, such associal media, online news platforms, and digital advertising. These new media have significantly changed the way we access and consume information, as well as how we communicate and interact with others. One of the key differences between new media and traditional media is the speed at which information can be disseminated. With social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, news can spread like wildfire, reaching millions of people within minutes. This is in stark contrast to traditional media, such as newspapers and television, which often have a longer lead time before information is published or broadcasted.Another difference is the level of interactivity andengagement that new media offer.

新媒体是否能取代传统媒体的英语作文(中英文实用版)In the age of digitalization, the question of whether new media can replace traditional media has sparked heated debates. The rise of social platforms and online news outlets seems to challenge the dominance of newspapers, radio, and television. However, to say that new media will entirely supplant traditional media may be an overstatement.

ew media offers unparalleled speed and interactivity, allowing information to spread in real-time and enabling two-way communication between content creators and consumers. This level of engagement is something traditional media struggles to match.

On the other hand, traditional media still holds sway in terms of credibility and influence.Newspaper articles and TV broadcasts are often perceived as more reliable due to their long-established editorial processes and standards.

2018-06-02: Task 2 (Qatar; Saudi Arabia)
More and more people are reading news from the internet, but some of the people likes reading news from a newspaper.
Do you agree or disagree.
It is often argued that, in twenty first century the number of people who reading news in gadgets is increasing, however some people says newspapers will continue as a major source of news and information for the majority of people. I completely agree with this opinion and think news paper still play a pivotal role in the society because of various reasons
First of all, newspapers became a habit of the people mainly elderly, so they are not interested in reading news on gadgets.
For example, in my home town newspaper cost only 5 Indian rupees and this price is acceptable for even the poorest man in our city.
To conclude, I strongly believe newspaper continue as a major source of information for people around the globe because its cheaper, easy accessible and above all it is a habit of some people habit for the people.
Despite the fact that increasing number of people are reading news online, some argue that newspaper are still preferred by a vast majority of people for reading news.
I disagree with this and strongly believe that newspaper are losing their relevance because of the internet.
There are many reasons behind the dwindling popularity of newspapers. Firstly, the
biggest disincentive of newspaper is the fact that it offers stale news. Lastly, with increasing environmental concerns, more emphasis is being placed on digitization, which has immensely affected the readership of newspapers. As a result, many newspaper companies have halted the publishing of traditional newspaper and are now offering news exclusively on the internet.
Online news, on the other hand, has many benefits.
