圣诞节神奇的事情英文作文
圣诞节神奇的事情英文作文Christmas is a magical time of the year, filled with joy, love, and warmth. It is a time where families come together, friends exchange gifts, and streets are adorned with colorful lights and decorations. But what if I told you that Christmas could be even more magical than it already is? What if I told you that there are some truly extraordinary things that can happen during this festive season? Would you believe me?Let me share with you the story of a truly magical Christmas that happened to my dear friend Emily and me. It all started on a cold and snowy evening, just a few days before Christmas. Emily and I were walking hand in hand, enjoying the twinkling lights and the festive atmosphere of the city.As we strolled through the charming Christmas market, a small wooden stall caught our attention. It was decorated with shimmering ornaments and filled with a variety of exquisite objects. The vendor, a friendly old man with a long white beard, greeted us with a warm smile. He introduced himself as Mr. Nicholas and invited us to take a closer look at his collection.Among Mr. Nicholas' treasures was a peculiar snow globe. It had a miniature Christmas village inside, complete with a sparkling lake, snow-covered houses, and a majestic Christmas tree in the center. As I held the snow globe in my hands, I could almost feel the enchantment radiating from it. Mr. Nicholas noticed our fascination and whispered, "This snow globe has a special power. It can make your Christmas wishes come true."Intrigued by his words, Emily and I exchanged a curious glance. We decided to take a chance and make a wish each. Emily wished for her grandfather's health to improve, while I wished for my dream of becoming a successful writer to come true.We paid for the snow globe, thanked Mr. Nicholas, and continued our walk home. Little did we know that the magic had already begun. As soon as we stepped foot into our cozy apartment, we received a phone call from Emily's parents. They informed us that her grandfather had made a miraculous recovery overnight. It was a Christmas miracle that filled our hearts with joy and gratitude.Amazed by the snow globe's power, I took it in my hands once more and found myself transported into a world of imagination. I was inside the miniature Christmas village, surrounded by the magic of the holiday season. The snowflakes were falling softly, the lights were twinkling, and the air was filled with the sound of joyful laughter. As I explored the village, I stumbled upon a small quaint bookstore. The sign outside read, "The Storyteller's Haven." Intrigued, I stepped inside and was greeted by a friendly old man behind the counter. He introduced himself as Mr. Dickens, the owner of the store.Inside, the shelves were lined with books of all genres. From adventurous tales to heartwarming love stories, the books seemed to come alive as I picked them up. Mr. Dickens offered me a book titled "The Magic Quill" and encouraged me to give it a try.I sat down by the fireplace, wrapped in a cozy blanket, and started reading. The words floated off the pages and danced around me, immersing me in a world of whimsy and enchantment. Before long, I found myself penning stories that were bursting with creativity and imagination.Days turned into nights, and nights turned into days, as time seemed to lose its meaning within the bookstore walls. The stories I wrote became magical tales that captivated readers from all around the world. It was a dream come true, and I couldn't help but thank the snow globe for granting my wish.Meanwhile, Emily decided to explore the snow globe's magic in her own way. She found herself transported to a bustling hospital where her grandfather was being treated. As she walked through the corridors, she noticed a tired-looking nurse who seemed to be struggling to keep up with her duties.Emily approached the nurse and offered her assistance. Together, they worked tirelessly to provide care and comfort to the patients. Word of their kindness spread throughout the hospital, and soon other volunteers joined in, creating an atmosphere of love and support.Emily's act of kindness was not only limited to the hospital. She also organized a community fundraiser to support underprivileged families during the holiday season. The event was a huge success, and the smiles on the faces of those families were a testament to the magic that Christmas brings. On Christmas Eve, as Emily and I gathered around the Christmas tree, we couldn't help but reflect on the extraordinary journey we had experienced. The snow globe had brought more than just materialistic wishes. It had opened our hearts, allowing us to bring joy and magic to others. As we gazed at the snow globe, we realized that its power was not confined to the confines of its glass walls. The real magic of Christmas lies in the kindness we show towards others, in the love we share, and in the warmth that fills our hearts during this festive season. And so, dear reader, I urge you to embrace the magic of Christmas. Whether it's through a snow globe, an act of kindness, or a heartfelt wish, let the enchantment of this season guide you towards spreading love and joy to those around you. Remember, a truly magical Christmas is not about the extraordinary things that happen but about the extraordinary feelings that reside within each of us.。

One aspect that struck me deeply was the concept of mindfulness emphasized throughout the book. It reminded meof the importance of being fully present in each moment, savoring every experience, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. In a world dominated by fast-paced routines and distractions, this reminder to slow down and embrace mindfulness is a much-needed respite.让我深感震撼的一个方面是本书贯穿始终强调的正念(mindfulness)概念。

The aroma of freshly baked cookies from the local bakery filled the air, spreading joy and happiness to everyone. One evening, as the sun was setting, a young girl named Emily and her little brother, Jacob, set off on an adventure in search of the true meaning of Christmas. They had heard stories about the magical wonders that occur during the holidays and were determined to experience it for themselves. As they strolled through the town, hand in hand, they noticed a peculiar door hidden amongst the decorations. Curiosity filled their hearts, and without hesitation, they walked through it. To their astonishment, they found themselves in a snow-covered forest, illuminated by thousands of twinkling lights. As they ventured further into the forest, they stumbled upon a group of woodland creatures preparing for their own Christmas celebration. There were squirrels, rabbits, and even a wise old owl who acted as their leader. They were decorating their tree, made entirely of acorns and pinecones, with berries and small bells.Emily and Jacob joined in, excitedly helping the creatures decorate their tree. The woodland creatures expressed their gratitude by teaching the children the joy of giving. They explained that Christmas was not just about receiving gifts but about spreading love, kindness, and happiness to those around them. With newfound inspiration, Emily and Jacob bid farewell to their new friends and continued their exploration. As they walked deeper into the forest, they stumbled upon an old cabin, covered in snow. Feeling a sense of adventure in their hearts, they opened the door and entered cautiously.Inside, they found an elderly man named Mr. Jingle, who was baking gingerbread cookies in the shape of Santa Claus. His house was filled with the scent of cinnamon and warmth. Mr. Jingle welcomed the children and shared stories of his Christmas traditions, including how he delivered his famous gingerbread cookies to children all over the world on Christmas Eve.Inspired by his tales, Emily and Jacob decided they wanted to learn the art of baking gingerbread cookies. I got off the street car in the heavy rain and thankfully opened the umbrella to protect myself. Then I searched a telephone book for the name. I found it immediately and called it, waiting patiently, and then a lady answered.“Yes,”she said in surprise, with extreme excitement. “It was my umbrella which had been stolen a year ago.”So appealing was her pleasure that I forgot I was looking for a job and went directly to her small house. She took the umbrella with teary eyes, explaining with choking voice that the umbrella was given by her parents, now dead. Her happiness at retrieving(找回) this special possession was such that to have accepted her reward would have spoiled something. So I refused her offer and left. The following months were hard.I can only obtain temporary employment, for a small salary. What was worse, I had just lost my last job before Christmas, with only fifteen dollars left. Unless a miracle happened, I would be homeless in January, foodless and jobless.l had prayed steadily for weeks, and there had been no answer but this coldness and darkness. The air was full of Christmas merriment, with the bells ringing and children shouting in the bitter dusk of the evening. But there should be no Christmas for me, I knew, no gifts no remembrance whatsoever.Thinking of this, I couldn’t control my tears on my way home, but I managed a smile so I could greet my little daughter. She opened the door for me and throw herself in my arms, dreaming joyously and demanding desirably for her Christmas gift. There I stood, frozen overwhelmed by misery.【2022年9月A9协作体高三暑假返校联考英语试题】注意:1. 续写词数应为150词左右;2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。

奇妙的圣诞节英语作文
奇妙的圣诞节英语作文Once upon a time, in a small town called Evergreen, there lived a young girl named Lily. Ever since she was a little girl, Lily loved everything about Christmas. The twinkling lights, the joyful carols, and the spirit of giving filled her heart with happiness. Every year, as December approached, Lily would eagerly await the arrival of Christmas, eager to experience the magic the season brought. One year, however, something extraordinary happened. On the night of December 1st, as Lily was lying in bed, she heard a soft tapping sound on her window. Curious, she slowly opened the window, and to her surprise, a tiny reindeer stood before her. It had a red nose that glowed brightly, illuminating the night sky."Hello, young girl," said the reindeer in a kind voice. "My name is Rudolph, and I am Santa's most trusted reindeer. Santa needs your help this Christmas. Will you join us on a magical adventure?"Lily's eyes widened with excitement. "Of course!" she exclaimed. "I would be honored to help Santa!"Rudolph smiled warmly at Lily's enthusiasm. "Wonderful! Please meet us at the town square tomorrow morning at sunrise. We will be waiting for you."Lily couldn't sleep that night, her mind buzzing with anticipation. The next morning, she woke up early, put on her warmest coat and boots, and made her way to the town square. When she arrived, she saw a group of magical creatures gathered around a sleigh. Santa Claus himself was there, his white beard flowing in the wind. Lily felt a rush of awe and excitement as she joined them."Lily!" Santa exclaimed, "Thank you for answering my call. We are in need of your assistance.A powerful evil sorceress named Malvora has stolen the Spirit of Christmas and hidden it in her secret lair. Without the Spirit, Christmas will cease to exist. We need your help to retrieve it."Lily's eyes widened with determination. "I won't let Christmas be stolen. I'll do whatever it takes to bring back the Spirit of Christmas!"Santa smiled kindly at her. "I knew you would say that, my dear. Now, let us embark on this magical adventure together."Lily climbed onto the sleigh, sitting next to Santa and Rudolph. As they took off into the sky, she marveled at the breathtaking view below. The snow-covered houses and shimmering lights made her heart swell with joy.Their journey took them through frozen tundras, enchanting forests, and even a rainbow-lit sky. Along the way, they encountered talking snowmen, mischievous elves, and helpfulfairies. Together, they overcame numerous obstacles, always guided by Lily's brave and kind heart. Finally, they arrived at Malvora's secret lair. It was a towering castle nestled deep within a dark forest. The castle was protected by spooky creatures and guarded by a giant ice dragon.Undeterred, Lily, Santa, and the magical creatures devised a plan to infiltrate the castle and retrieve the stolen Spirit of Christmas. With the help of the fairies' magic and Lily's bravery, they defeated the ice dragon and made their way inside.Inside the lair, they found the Spirit of Christmas trapped in a crystal. Lily carefully picked it up, and as she held it in her hands, she felt warmth and love radiate through her entire being. She knew the Spirit had been restored.Just as they were about to leave, Malvora appeared in front of them, a wicked grin on her face. "You may have the Spirit of Christmas now, but you won't escape my lair!" she cackled. Lily stood tall, meeting Malvora's gaze with determination. "You may have stolen Christmas, but you can't steal the spirit of love and joy that it brings. Christmas lives within our hearts, and nothing can take that away."Malvora's eyes widened in surprise, and with a mighty burst of magic, she vanished into thin air. The lair crumbled around them, but Lily, Santa, and the magical creatures managed to escape unharmed.Back in Evergreen, the townspeople were awaiting their return. When Lily, Santa, and the magical creatures arrived, cheers and applause erupted. Lily held the restored Spirit of Christmas high, and the town lit up with joy. From that day forward, Christmas in Evergreen was even more magical than before. Lily's heroic deeds were celebrated, and she became known as the savior of Christmas. But deep down, she knew that it was the magic within her heart that had truly saved the holiday. And so, every Christmas thereafter, Lily would look up at the sky, knowing that the spirit of Christmas would forever be alive in her heart, and in the hearts of people all over the world. The end.。

Right before Thanksgiving, I prayed, “Lord please make me a blessing to others as Santa”. A week later as my husband and I were preparing for this year’s Santa visits with my Mrs. Claus basket, we discovered a letter to Santa from a young mother named Mary, who was ill and was asking if there was a Santa and if miracles did happen that her young children would have a good Christmas because she was told by doctors that it could be her last. In it was her name, phone number and address. I tried to make contact with Mary, but however many times I tried, I had no luck in getting someone to answer the phone. One week before Christmas, I decided to make a call one more time. This time a woman answered the phone. I discovered that it was Mary’s mother. She first said that no one lived there by the name of Mary. I had two choices: to thank her and hang up or keep trying. I decided to continue and explained that I was Mrs. Claus and that we had found a letter written to Santa by Mary at this telephone number, expressing the desire to help her kids. She was in shock and told me that Mary had had an operation two weeks before.

圣诞奇迹的原文圣诞奇迹的原文The Christmas Miracle圣诞奇迹Anna was tired of being treated like a child. Her mother didn’t seem to know the difference between six and sixteen. Christine, Anna’s mother, was tired of being treated like the enemy. Why couldn’t Anna understand that all she wanted was for her daughter to not experience the pain and heartache she had gone through? Of course, she was too ashamed to tell Anna about her past.Friday night had rolled around again and Anna and Christine were decorating the Christmas tree and arguing about curfew…again.“Mom! You are so old-fashioned. My friends stay out until one.”“What do you do until one o’clock in the morning?” Christine asked. “You’re not old enough to go to clubs, you can’t drink, you can barely even drive…” After a moment of hesitation she added, “I’ve just experienced some things I don’t want you to go through, but I’m going to trust you. You can stay out until one tonight, but absolutely no later! I want you in bed at 1:05. That gives you five minutes to get into the house and get in bed.”“Thanks Mom! You’re the greatest!” she said, giving her mom a hug. Anna didn’t give a second thought to her mom’s past.Anna’s best friend, Daphne, was in the driveway at 9:30 pm honking on the horn as usual.“I’ll be home at one,” Anna said. “Thanks again, Mom. I love you.” She leaned over and kissed her mom on the cheek.“I love you, too. Have fun.” Anna practically ran out the front door. She’s so full o f life and energy, Christine thought. And I am not going to sit around all night worrying about her. She popped a movie in and settled down on the couch, looking forward to a quiet, relaxing evening at home.Anna hopped into the passenger side of Daphne’s car with a huge grin on her face and screamed, “I’ve just got my curfew extended!” Then she leaned over and turned the radio up. Their favorite song was playing. The two girls belted out every word at the top of their lungs.Christine had put in a second movie and was finally getting in to it when the phone rang. She paused the movie and grabbed the cordless phone. “Hello? …OH…MY…GOD! …I’ll be right there.”。

英语沙龙圣诞节的奇迹My Christmas MiracleFor many of us,one Christmas stands out from all the others, the one when the meaning of the day shone clearest. My own “truest” Christmas began on a rainy spring day in the bleakest year of my life.Recently divorced,I was in my 20s,had no job and was on my way downtown to go the rounds of the employment offices.I had no umbrella, for my old one had fallen apart, and I could not afford another one.I sat down in the streetcar --and there against the seat was a beautiful silk umbrella with a silver handle inlaid2) with gold and flecks of bright enamel3).I had never seen anything so lovely.I examined the handle and saw a name engraved among the golden scrolls. The usual procedure would have been to turn in the umbrella to the conductor, but on impulse I decided to take it with me andfind the owner myself.I got off the streetcar in a downpour andthankfully opened the umbrella to protect myself. Then I searched a telephone book for the name on the umbrella and found it.I called and a lady answered.Yes,she said in surprise, that was her umbrella, which her parents, now dead, had given her for a birthday present. But,she added,it had been stolen from her locker at school(she was a teacher)more than a year before. She was so excited that I forgot I was looking for a job and went directly to her small house. She took the umbrella, and her eyes filled with tears. The teacher wanted to give me a reward,but--though twenty dollars was all I had in the world--her happiness at retrieving4) this special possession was such that to have accepted money would have spoiled something. We talked for a while, and I must have given her my address.I don' t remember. The next six months were wretched5).I was able to obtain only temporary employment here and there, for a small salary. But I put aside twenty-five or fifty cents when I could afford it for mylittle girl' s Christmas presents. My last job ended the day before Christmas,my thirty-dollar rent was soon due,and I had fifteendollars to my name--which Peggy and I would need for food. She was home from convent boarding school and was excitedly looking forward to her gifts next day, which I had already purchased.I had bought her a small tree, and we were going to decorate it that night. The air was full of the sound of Christmas merriment as I walked from the streetcar to my small apartment.Bells rang and children shouted in the bitter dusk of the evening, and windows were lighted and everyone was running and laughing. But there should be no Christmas for me,I knew,no gifts,no remembrance whatsoever6).As I struggled through the snowdrifts,I had just about reached the lowest point in my life.Unless a miracle happened,I would be homeless in January, foodless, jobless.I had prayed steadily for weeks, and there had been no answer but this coldness and darkness, this harsh air, this abandonment.God and men had completely forgotten me.I felt so helpless and so lonely. What was to become of us?I looked in my mail box. There were only bills in it,a sheaf of them, and two white envelopes which I was sure contained morebills.I went up three dusty flights of stairs and I cried, shivering in my thin coat. But I made myself smile so I could greet my littledaughter with a pretense of happiness. She opened the door for me and threw herself in my arms, screaming joyously and demanding that we decorate the tree immediately.Peggy had proudly set our kitchen table for our evening meal and put pans out and three cans of food which would be our dinner. For some reason, when I looked at those pans and cans,I felt broken-hearted.We would have only hamburgers for our Christmas dinner tomorrow.I stood in the cold little kitchen, misery overwhelmed me.For the first time in my life,I doubted the existence and his mercy, and the coldness in my heart was colder than ice.The doorbell rang and Peggy ran fleetly to answer it,calling that it must be Santa Claus. Then I heard a man talking heartily to her and went to the door.He was a delivery man,and his arms were full of parcels7).“This is a mistake,”I sai d,but he read the name on the parcels and there were for me.When he had gone I could only stare at the boxes.Peggy and I sat on the floor and opened them.A hugedoll, three times the size of the one I had bought for her.Gloves.Candy.A beautiful leather purse.Incredible.I looked for the name of the sender. It was the teacher, the address was simply “California”,where she had moved. Our dinner that night was the most delicious I had ever eaten.I forgot I had no money for the rent and only fifteen dollars in my purse and no job.My child and I ate and laughed together in happiness. Then we decorated the little tree and marveled at it.I put Peggy to bed and set up her gifts around the tree and a sweet peace flooded me like a benediction.I had some hope again.I could even examine the sheaf of bills without cringing8).圣诞节的奇迹对我们许多人来说,总有某一个圣诞节因为我们充分感受到这一天的意义而显得格外难忘。
