【教材分析】
本单元以A healthy life为话题,通过谈论人们最关心的健康问题,使学生认识到吸烟、喝酒、吸毒、不良饮食等对健康的危害,了解吸烟的危害及怎样戒烟;功能句式要求学生学会如何表达聚会中的礼仪和禁忌。
通过单元学习,要求学生意识到健康的重要性,养成良好的生活习惯,并学会帮助别人解决一些健康问题。
Reading部分是爷爷给孙子的一封信,信中82岁的爷爷提到:他之所以长寿和充满活力,主要得益于他健康的生活方式。
爷爷年轻的时候也抽过烟,甚至上过瘾,因此他知道上瘾容易戒烟难,并以亲身体会向孙子说明上瘾的原因,抽烟的危害和戒烟的方法,告诫孙子把烟戒掉。
Writing部分改为学生自身可能存在的对网络游戏的痴迷话题,通过学生讨论其危害,加强对学生的教育。
【学情分析】
高二学生对这个话题比较感兴趣,积极性也比较高,但大部分学生对新学的词汇还是比较生疏,英语表达的能力还是比较薄弱的,因此教师可以利用各种各样的资源,在任务型教学下完成本课的学习。
班级里的学生水平参差不齐,因此在教学过程中,布置的任务要兼顾各个层次的学生,使他们在听、说、读、写方面各有所获。
【教学重难点】
教学重点:find the details from the text to complete the forms and ‘yes, no’ questions in groups through scanning and careful reading correctly.
通过查读和仔细阅读,小组合作从文章中寻找细节正确完成表格和
判断题。
教学难点:discuss the harmful effects of playing online games in groups, speak it out clearly and then write a letter.
通过小组讨论,清晰地讲出玩网络游戏的一些危害,然后写成一封信。

教法:运用直观教学,多媒体辅助法以及任务驱动法来实现学习目标。
学法:学生通过自主学习,两两互助以及小组合作的方法实现学习目标,突出学生为主体,教师为主导的新课程理念。

设计意图:通过提问题,吸引学生的注意力,激起学生兴趣,导入课堂内容,营造轻松的课堂氛围。
2、表明目标通过展示PPT让学生清楚本节课的学习目标。

设计意图:锻炼学生的自主略读能力,难度不大,能有效增强学生学习英语的信心。
任务2,通过查读,两两合作完成吸烟上瘾的信息表。
表格按照吸烟由身体到心理上瘾行为为设置依据,要求学生仔细阅读,通过查读获取细节信息并分清不同层次的上瘾特征。
设计意图:通过两两合作,加强对文章细节的理解为进一步学习打好基础。
任务3,通过仔细阅读,小组讨论合作完成判断题,清楚了解吸烟对人体都有哪些危害。
设计意图:通过小组合作,降低学习难度,快速完成任务。
任务4,先听录音,在小组讨论,写出材料中提到的戒烟的方法。
设计意图:训练学生的听力,加强学生课后听录音的意识和行为。
5、说与写(语言的输出)
1)由Do you know any other unhealthy actions? 转变话题,在通过图片引出讨论话题:玩网络游戏对你有什么危害?小组讨论,说出其危害。
设计意图:检查学生在大量的语言输入后,经过简短的讨论准备,语言表达效果,为写作做铺垫。
2)设置情景,让学生帮老师解决外甥玩网游的实际问题。
给予学生一定的写作指导。
设计意图:检测学生的通过写作所表现出的语言输出能力,
