题目(Topic):Some people believe that the best way to solve environmental problems is to increase the cost of fuel for cars and other vehicles. Others think that there are better ways to achieve this goal. What is your opinion? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. (English Version):In my opinion, increasing the cost of fuel for cars and other vehicles is an effective way to address environmental problems. Higher fuel prices can encourage people to use public transportation, carpool, or even consider alternative methods of commuting, which can significantly reduce carbon emissions and alleviate environmental damage.Firstly, raising the cost of fuel makes public transportation a more appealing option. When fuel prices are high, people are more likely to choose buses, trains, or subways for their daily commute. This increased usage of public transportation not only reduces traffic congestion but also decreases the overall carbon footprint of a community.Secondly, higher fuel prices can promote carpooling among commuters. Carpooling allows multiple individuals to share a ride in onevehicle, thereby reducing the number of cars on the road. Fewer cars mean less pollution and reduced consumption of fossil fuels, leading to a healthier environment.Additionally, expensive fuel can drive innovation and adoption of eco-friendly vehicles, such as electric cars and hybrids. As fuel prices rise, the demand for fuel-efficient and electric vehicles increases, prompting automobile manufacturers to invest more in environmentally friendly technologies. This shift towards cleaner transportation options is crucialin combating environmental problems caused by traditionalgasoline-powered vehicles.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Businesses should do anything they can to make a profit. Use specific reasons and examples to support your position.

Nowadays, merchants tend to strive for remaining in existence by all means due to the extensive petition and burdensome pressures. However, I am always amazed when I hear that it is necessary for businessman to do anything possible to make a profit. It may be as highly laudable and exemplary a thing as it is held to be by those who are addicted to money.Apparently, I strongly object to it due to various factors that weigh heavily against the notion. The foremost reason is that merchants would be rewarded by nothing but distrust and even hatred from the customers if they hardly care about anything but money. It is widely known that nothing can be pared with the good reputation of a pany, which attracts more upright and loyal customers. Suppose we arefacing the dilemma of which brand of shampoo to purchase. It is of no surprise if you decide to take the one produced by P&G or other reputable large panies. As a result, what assures the buyers most is the credit of the service suppliers?Another subtle explanation for my point of view rests onthe fact that various appalling results would in some cases, be caused by the immoral and even illegal businesses. It is decent to make profits and receive the repayment ofdiligent work and continuous efforts. Nevertheless, producing unqualified or even deleterious modities, which possibly lead to detriments of people's health or security, is never the sensible method to operate a pany. What impressed me most is the tragedy happened several monthsago in some part of China. Hundreds of infants died because of the nonnutritive milk powders produced by some merchantmen without ethics. Therefore, it is never toorigid to denounce the immoral and irresponsible behavior. The third point I would like to mention is that the merchants themselves would not be reassured to enjoy the property acquired in improper ways.In most cases, it is the essential satisfaction ofbenefiting the public, rather than the material items, which inspires people profoundly. What a pleasant thing it would be to receive repayment of your diligent work andcontinuous efforts! On the contrary, few people would go into rapture even if they possess a mass of wealth earned through indecent ways. Thus, only by obeying mercial disciplines could a businessman obtain supreme suess and maximum pleasure.Taking into all the reasons above into aount, it is barely too arbitrary to conclude that only by descent and good Intentioned business activities could a pany achieve respectable and decent suess托福考试作文题目: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? 托福写作话题满分范文(优选5篇)Business should hire employees for their entire lives. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. In some business cultures, it is the practice to hire workers when they are young and employ them until they retire. In other business cultures companies hire people to do a job and then fire them when they are not needed. To me, the important considerations in today’s economy is job performance: speed and change. Loyalty is not a consideration.Today there is a lot of competition and we need to hire workers who can perform a task well. We need to find skilled workers who can do a job without a lot of training. We need to match the job to the worker, and, if the job changes, we change the worker.Because of this increased competition, we need to be able to produce our goods or services quickly. We need young people who are willing to put in long hours. We need young people who are aggressive and will push themselves to do their job faster. In order to compete, we have to be innovative. By changing our workforce frequently, we can bring in new ideas. We must constantly be looking for new ways to do new things. We need fresh workers with fresh points of view.Although a company’s loyalty to a worker and a workers loyalty to acompany is a noble idea, it is not practical today. Skilled workers do not want to be tied down to one company; they want the flexibility to improve their opportunities. Change makes the economy powerful. There are many people want to go to university or college every year and they decide to do so formany different reasons. I believe there are three common reasons are to prepare for career, increase their knowledge and get new experience.Prepare for career is very important for young people nowadays. In a competitive society, if theyhave not a good educational background, they will not get a good opportunity in their career oreven cannot find a job, so college and university can provide them new skills to meet therequirements of career. Also, students attend to university or college can increase their knowledge in subjects theyinterested, for many people, this is maybe the primary reason to go to college. There are manyexcellent professors and experts can give us a plenty of knowledge which including many areas. For many people this maybe their last chance for a long time to get knowledge that don't relate totheir career.Besides looking for knowledge, some people want to go to college or university because theydecide to live a new life. University can support young people an environment where they canintercommunicate about many topics such as literature, goal of life, art and emotions whicharehard to talked about after their university lives, so it is a special experience for young people tolive and study in college or university. All in a word, I prefer increase knowledge and get a special experience to prepare for career inuniversity because getting good opportunities in career is partly depend on your knowledge andexperiences on diverse areas. Now days, more and more people are trying to attend college or university. Different people do sofor different reasons. Some typical reasons are new experiences, career preparation and increasedknowledge. In my opinion, it is the fast developement, almost explosion, of our world that makepeople to consider attending college or university.People would usually get bored when they focus on one field for a long time. For this reason, theygo to college to pursue experiences in new areas. We often hear that an electrical engineer wentto a university to study art or music. With the new experiences, they expand their ken. Maybesome good ideas would jump out during their daily work.As for the young, they attend college for career preparation. Not only could they get knowledgeneeded for their future work, they could learn how to think and how to solve questions. Theprojects students attended are very like their future work. Some people, who have been graduated from universities for years, are also planning to go back toschool. Most of them reattend universities to increase their knowledge. Techlogy is developing sofast that people could not keep up with them unless they keep increasing their knowledge. All in all, people, who attend college or university, are preparing for their better futures.。

Title: The Impact of Technology on Education。

In today's digital age, technology has become an integral part of education, revolutionizing the way students learn and teachers teach. This essay explores the profound impact of technology on education and argues that while it offers numerous benefits, it also presents certain challenges that need to be addressed.Firstly, technology enhances access to education. With the advent of online learning platforms and educational websites, students can now access a wealth of resources from anywhere in the world. This flexibility isparticularly beneficial for individuals who may not have access to traditional educational institutions due to geographical constraints or personal circumstances. Additionally, technology enables personalized learning experiences through adaptive learning software and virtual tutors, catering to the individual needs and learningstyles of students.Furthermore, technology facilitates collaborative learning. Tools such as video conferencing, online forums, and shared documents allow students to collaborate with peers and educators regardless of their physical location. This fosters a sense of community and encourages the exchange of ideas and perspectives, enriching the learning experience. Moreover, collaborative projects and assignments promote teamwork and communication skills, which are essential in today's interconnected world. Moreover, technology enhances engagement and motivation in learning. Interactive multimedia content, gamified learning platforms, and virtual reality simulations make learning more engaging and immersive. These tools captivate students' attention and stimulate their curiosity, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Additionally, instant feedback provided by online quizzes and assessments allows students to track their progress and identify areas for improvement, motivating them to strive for excellence. However, despite its myriad benefits, technology in education also poses certain challenges. One such challenge is the digital divide, wherein disparities in access to technology exacerbate existing inequalities in education. Students from low-income backgrounds or underserved communities may lack access to the necessary devices and internet connectivity, hindering their ability to fully participate in digital learning experiences. Addressingthis disparity requires concerted efforts from governments, educational institutions, and the private sector to ensure equitable access to technology and bridge the digital divide.Another challenge is the potential for technology to distract students and detract from their learning experience. The prevalence of smartphones, social media, and other digital distractions can tempt students to stray from their academic pursuits, leading to decreased productivity and focus. Educators must implement strategies to mitigate these distractions, such as establishing clear guidelines for device usage in the classroom andincorporating digital literacy education into the curriculum to teach students responsible and discerning use of technology. In conclusion, technology has had a profound impact on education, enhancing access, collaboration, engagement, and motivation. However, it also presents challenges such as the digital divide and potential distractions. By addressing these challenges and harnessing the full potential of technology, we can create a more inclusive, interactive, and effective learning environment that prepares students for success in the digital age.。

1MA A gift (such as a camera, a soccer ball, or an animal) can contribute to a child’s development. What gift would you give to help a child develop? Why? Use reasons and specific examples to support your choice. When I was about 10 years old, my older sister gave me a present. It was my first real grown-up bicycle: a three-speed, yellow and black, shiny and new. I still remember how excited I was. That bicycle was very important to me over the next few years. If I wanted to give a gift that would contribute to a child’s development, I would choose a bicycle.Bikes are great exercise. They encourage outdoor play. Television and video games, which are the most popular children’s activities nowadays, involve mostly sitting and starting. Riding a bike makes exercise fun.Bikes are convenient transportation, too. Without a bike you have to depend on an adult to drive you almost everywhere. With a bike you can go farth er. You can ride to your friend’s bouses. If your school is close enough, you can take yourself to school. You have control over where you go, and you’re not always waiting or begging for a ride. Now you can say “Can I go ……?” instead of “Please take me!”To me as a child, a bicycle meant independence. Not only could I could I go farther, but no one was watching where I went. The road went past the park, the pond, the woods, the 7-11 store, and more. I saw the network of little neighborhood roads from a different viewpoint. I could stop anywhere and look at whatever I wanted. Everything was my choice. Bike riding was active, notpassive. My bicycle gave me fun exercise, easy transportation, and freedom. For all these reasons, I think that a bicycle is a special present for a child. 2PR Some people believe that students should be given one long vacation each year. Others believe that students should have several short vacations throughout the year. Which viewpoint do you agree with? Use specific reasons and examples to support your choice.I like the idea of students having several short vacations throughout the year. I’m a working parent with two school-age children. Every summer I have to come up with a plan for keeping my children safe and entertained for three months, while my husband and I are at work. Summer camps are expensive, and finding the one your children will enjoy can be a challenge. Getting rid of that one long vacation would make life a lot easier.Having several shorter vacations would also make it easier to schedule vacations. My husband and I both work in small offices with other working parents. All of us need vacation time during the same three months. This is hard on our businesses and our careers. We also find that wherever we go in the summer, it’s crowded. It would be nice to go places throughout the year and find smaller crowds. I’m sure the attractions themselves would like that better, too. It would be better for the economy to spread things out, too.I think my children would be more focused on their students if their vacation time was divided up throughout the year. The final month of the school year, they’re just not paying attention. They’ve been in school for nine long months and they don’t have a lot of energy. Plus , the y’re anticipating vacation time. If vacations were throughout the year, they would concentrate better on studies.Of course, many older school buildings aren’t air-conditioned, because usually people aren’t there during the hottest months. That might be a problem, I think, though, that new air-conditioning would be worth the cost. During the last few weeks of summer, my children are bored with their long vacation. I doubt that would happen if there were several vacations throughout the year. 3EX What do you consider to be the most important room in a house? Why is this room more important to you than any other room? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion. The kitchen is my favorite room in a house, because it is where families gather. T o me, that is the most important thing. So many of the memories people have of growing up revolve around the kitchen. My childhood memories concern the kitchens in my grandparents ‘homes. My mother’s family lived in a row house in the city. The rooms were all small, and that included the kitchen. In the summertime, when we’d visit, the back door of the house would be left open. People would be sitting on the back porch and in the kitchen, talking and laughing, while my grandmother made dinner. There was no air-conditioning, but I don’t ever remember feeling too hot. There was always a breeze coming through, along with the sounds of traffic and kids playing ball in the street. My father’s family liver on a farm in the country, and their house had a huge kitchen with windows on three sides. It seems like the windows were always open and the curtains blowing with the breeze. The main door to the house was almost never used. Everyone came in through the kitchen, and sat at the big table in the middle of the room. When dinner was being prepared, all the women would bustle around, while the men sat at the table talking about farm prices. Sometimes my grandmother wouldn’t even sit down during dinner, but would be refilling bowls of food and people’s glasses. Fr om outside ,we could hear the cows in the field near the house. These two kitchens are the background for some of my happiest memories. From the beginning of time, human beings have gathered together near the fire where the food was being prepared. I hope that never changes. 4PR Would you prefer to live in a traditional house or in a modern apartment building? Use specific reasons and details to support your choice.I know there are advantages to living in a modern apartment, but I'd prefer to live in a traditional house. My reason is that I love traditional design. It's graceful and warm and inviting. I think modern design is very empty and sterile and not very inviting. So, because of the way it looks, I'd choose a traditional house.I recognize the fact that a modern apartment is going to be in much better shape. Being new probably means all the plumbing works, the roof isn't going to leak, the windows are properly sealed, and the kitchen appliances are in working order.A traditional house can't guarantee any of that. In fact, it's likely that things will break down or need replacement, simply becauseof age.Still, if the appliances are old, so is the wood, and that's a big advantage as far as I'm concerned. Very few new buildings have the kind of woods that were used years ago. It's something that can't be copied.Space is always important to me, too. I need a lot of room for my home office, my clothes, and to display all the knickknacks I've picked up in my travels. I also like to have interesting space.I don't want all the rooms and windows the same size or a boxy design. A modern apartment usually comes in one size and shape.A traditional house is going to have a variety of spaces where I can put a little table or a window seat. And it will have lots of room, from basement to attic. These are all good reasons for me to prefer living in a traditional house. Some people love modern design, but it's not for me. The space and beauty of a traditional home are more important to me than having everything new and perfect. 5Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? High schools should allow students to study the courses that students want to study. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.I think high school students should be allowed to choose some of the subjects they study. However, the basic subjects, like mathematics, literature, and science, should be mandatory for all students. When I was in high school, we were allowed to choose three electives each semeste r. Electives were subjects that weren’t part of the basic curriculum. They included things like music, journalism, art, and various kinds of team sports. Choosing someof these subjects to study gave me a chance to experiment. I was able to get a head start on what I was going to study in college. However, college preparation shouldn’t be the main factor.I think all students should be allowed to take a certain number of courses just because they’re interested in them. For many students, high school is the last chance to learn about things they’re interested in. Maybe once they have a job there won’t be time for studying.Of course, it’s also important that students study certain basic subjects. If I’d had a choice, I know I wouldn’t have studied mathematics or science. I wasn’t very interested in them. However, once I was in class, I found myself getting interested. I wouldn’t have known this if I’d been given the choice, because I would have chosen not to take the courses.High school students aren’t always the best judges of what they’ll find useful in the years ahead. They need the guidance of experts in the field of education. However, they also need some freedom to follow their curiosity and individual interests. They should be given the freedom to choose some courses, while being required to take others.。

Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer. In the past decades, a growing number of people have been rushing into big cities in pursuit of better chances for jobs and higher qualities of life, thus caused a tremendous development of urbanization. A prevalent view is it that bigger city equals better life, yet I can hardly make myself to be an advocator for the big-city life.In the very first place, I am not a person to bear a fast-paced life. Everything in the big city seems to have been programmed to rush, cars and people, even the innocent dogs. What is extremely weird is that no one can stop or just slow down in spite of the fact that they are eager to do so. Of course it’s not God’s business. Instead, it is the high-level consumption as well as working pressure that push people so much. Ironically, these two aspects are also usually recognized as the main features of high quality life.On the contrary, however, everything works in an opposite way in a small town. Peace and harmony will replace rush and pressure. People are satisfied with the foods and clothes which are far from superb and classy as those in the developed cities. Simply, life is enjoyable if one chooses to do so.Furthermore, both the seriously polluted air and contaminated water in the big city drive me far away, which can severely destroy one’s physical fitness in a long run. In the smaller town, on the contrary, natural environment has been comparatively less polluted and sure to be a better habitat for human beings. Besides, insufferable noise or light pollution hardly exists in the small town while being a non-ignorable health killer in the big city.Consequently, I will definitely choose to live peacefully in a smaller town rather than rush and be tortured both mentally and physically in a big city. However if someone is desperately eager to seek challenges and accomplishments, I may well recommend him to go to the big cities with no hesitation.Which is more important, book knowledge or experience? It has been said, "Not everything that is learned is contained in books." Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why?Experience and book theory are commonly considered as the twin towers when it comes to acquiring knowledge. Essentially, book theory comes up from experience which has been scientifically and systematically organized, and these theories, which may provide useful instructions for practice, will in turn contribute to a further experience-gaining process. And before we draw the conclusion that which is more significant, it is better to first look at the merits and demerits on both sides. One may recognize the importance of book knowledge at once when referring to the current educational system------in the fundamental schools, kids are taught how to read books, and when entering a higher-level school, they simply read more. Admittedly, by learning from books, we can acquire knowledge in a systematical and effective way, which also leads to better grasp and deeperunderstanding of things we learn. The more important thing occurs to me is that book-reading is definitely a convenient and efficient way which is widely available to the public for learning when compared with experience-gaining. Just as the old saying goes, one sees further when standing upon the shoulders of the past giants (as well as the contemporary elites). It is quite terrible to imagine how much a man should have gone through to simply figure out the microstructure of hydrogen molecule by himself, which however can be easily picked out from almost any chemistry textbook with little expense. A single thought in someone’s mind is, more often than not, far less shining than group wisdom, which is always collected in a book.Despite many obvious advantages of book-learning, it is not without its problems. As a complement to book-learning, experience–learning exceeds in some ways. Special experience we went through is so impressive that what was learned from it will remain lively in mind for quite a long period. Furthermore, books only teach us abstract theories difficult to be applied to use, while personal experience brings us more pragmatic skills we can hardly learn from a book, which may also promote us to more comprehensive and thorough understanding of those profound while dreary theory. By the way, merely learning through a detailed manual of swimming skills helps little if one decides to learn to swim without even jumping into the water. From what we have discussed above, we can not simply determine which weighs more, book-reading or experience-gaining, they are actually complementary as our left hand and right hand. More often than not, we need to use both book and experience as source simultaneously to get what we want to know. The best way to improve the quality of education is to increase teachers’ salaries.I tend to show a favorable attitude toward the opinion that high salary makes qualified education. Although it may seem, at least for those who hold the most sacred belief that teaching is not to be put together with money, rather profane to think so, after some careful and detailed examination, however, I wonder if it’s so naïve for those people to hold such a repelling attitude toward the significance of money.Admittedly, teaching is widely recognized as one of the most lofty occupations one can think of, and teacher the most influential factor in the process of teaching. For me, the selfless and venerable image will appear in my mind at the mention of the teacher. They are angels in the class, yet they are no more than ordinary mortal beings for the most of their time. How pleasant is it for a teacher to embrace those adorable smiling faces, and who will not be ready to love those kids with all their hearts? However, when realities crush together, things surly don’t go as expected. All of us, more often than not, are desperately toiled even tortured by our multiple characters, none of which allows escaping. Taking a woman as an example: you are at the same time the daughter of your parents, the wife for your husband, the mother for a child and most of all, the indispensable support for your family, which demanding money as well as love. Consequently, only high salaries can effectively relieve a teacher’s burden, so that more attention from the teacher can be paid to the students, and more effort will be made to enhance the quality of education.Furthermore, high salary is not only the liberation and relief for the burdened teacher, but also definitely an attraction for those competent potential teachers. No one can ignore the truththat nowadays money has becoming the most deciding consideration for those most competitive choosing their job. Thus by refreshing the blood of teaching with a group of more competent faculty, the quality of education will be surly promoted.Besides all these discussed above, there are still several non-ignorable aspects remained to be demonstrated in order to make it more convincing. Anyway, improving the salary for the teacher is the most powerful way that I can think up to improve the quality of the current education.。

Task:It has been said, “Not everything that is learned is contained in books.” Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why?. We all crave knowledge, especially in this Age of Information, but what is the best source of knowledge? Are we to believe Albert Camus, who stated” The place we are to get knowledge is in books”? Or are we better served by following Albert Einstein's counsel that “The only source of knowledge is experience”? Although books have their place in one's learning, there is no substitute for experience; indeed, it is experience that is ultimately the most important source of knowledge.First, let us consider the knowledge needed to undertake a profession-for example, that of a physician. Knowledge gained from books provides the foundation of a doctor's training: study in a medical school begins with a near-overload of reading on anatomy, physiology and maladies both rare and common. However, during this time the medical student is also learning through experience, beginning with dissecting cadavers from almost the first day of medical school. Then, the aspiring physician must complete four years of residency, consisting of actual supervised experience at a hospital in which he or she now must put into practice all of the knowledge he or she has edge of dealing with patients, prescribing medication, and the joy and sadness of saving and losing patients; in other words, it is through experience that these residents finally learn what it means to be a doctor. What about knowledge other than professional expertise-for example, knowledge about another culture? In this realm as well, both books and real-life experience enrich and edify us. For example, Paris is perhaps the most talked-about and written-about city in the world. We could read Hemingway's A Moveable Feast, in which he describes the excitement and intellectual spirit-as well as the restaurants and plentiful red wine-of Paris in the 1920's. Or, we could travel to Paris and eat at bistros, walk across the Pont Neuf and look at the river Seine, visit the Louvre museum, and have adventures of our own. Clearly, most people would have attained more lasting and vivid knowledge by visiting Paris on their own rather than reading about it secondhand. In summary, experience, rather than books, is more central to our quest for learning, especially with regard to professional expertise. With regard to learning about another culture, experience is also irreplaceable. Yet not everyone in the world will have the health or financial resources to carry out a trip to Paris. But many people have access to a local library where they can borrow A Moveable Feast and, at no cost, read Hemingway's vibrant descriptions of Paris. We cannot forget the complementary and unique knowledge afforded by books, but experience is the most precious source of knowledge. Some people say that computers have made life easier and more convenient. Other people saythat computers have made life more complex and stressful. What is your opinion? Use specificreasons and examples to support your answer. Some universities require students to choose a variety of subjects; others only require students tospecialize in one subject. I deem the first one as the premier choice. Among countless factors, there are three conspicuous aspects as follows. The main reason for my propensity that students should take classes in many subjects is that theycan make full use of the abundant resources that a university has to offer. A university has plentyof educational and research resources. It is a very good idea to make full use of these valuableassets while studying in the university. The best way to achieve this is to take a variety of subjectsas much as possible. Through learning these courses, a student can get access to knowledge andresources in different areas. On the contrary, if a student only specializes in one subject, he willnot have a chance to get access to other resources offered by the university.Another reason can be seen by every person is that by choosing many subjects students can broaden their knowledge and make a solid foundation for their future concentrated study. Whatever the student will concentrate on in his senior years in college, it is necessary that hechoose a wide range of subjects to build the knowledge foundation. Take the field of BusinessManagement for example, the student has to acquire knowledge in writing, accounting, economicsand human resource management before he can successfully start his major concentration argument I support in the first paragraph is also in a position of advantage because studentscan be more adaptable in their future career if they choose a variety of subjects during theiruniversity study. It is obvious that the development of modern society requires people with inter-disciplinary and comprehensive knowledge. If a student chooses a variety of subjects in hisuniversity study, and gained a breath and width of knowledge, he will be more adaptable to therequirement of the society, and be able to easily adjust to many kinds of jobs. This will benefit hisfuture career. In a word, taking into account of all these factors, we may reach the conclusion that studentsshould take classes in many subjects in a university. In 1990, new rules and guidelines were adopted in the United Kingdom that has changed the whole field of Archaeology in that country. The new guidelines improved the situation in all there areas discussed in the passage.First, the new guidelines state that before any construction project can start, the construction site has to be examined by archaeologists to see whether the site is of archaeological interest or value. If the site is of archaeological interest, the next step is for the builders, archaeologists and local government officials to get together and make a plan for preserving the archaeological artifacts, either by building around them or by excavating and documenting them properly before the construction is allowed to proceed.Second, an important part of the new guidelines is a rule that any archaeological work done on the construction site will be paid for by the construction company not by the government. The construction company has to pay for the initial examination of the site, and then for all the work carried out under the preservation plan. This is a whole new source of financial support. The funding from construction companies has allowed researchers to study a far greater range of archaeological sites than they could in the past.Last, the new guidelines provide a lot of paid work for archaeologists, work that didn’t exist before. Expert archaeologists are now hired at all stages of the process to examine the site for archaeological value, then to help draw up the preservation plan to do the research in a professional scientific manner and finally to process the date and write reports and articles. The increased job and career opportunities in Archaeology have increased the number of professional archaeologists in Britain, which is now the highest it’s ever been. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The best way to travel is in a group ledby a tour guide. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. There are a lot of views whether the best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide. Differentpeople has different viewpoint. In my opinion, a group led by a tour guide is the best way totravel. The argument for this view goes as follows:In the first place, there are many advantages when people travel in a group. First, people will notfeel boring in a long trip. People can talk, laugh and make joking like a big family. Second, thegroup will help you a lot when you have any emergency. The people in the group could help youfigure out the awkward situation that will be unimaginable when you travel alone. Third, with thegroup discount, such as the discount for airplane ticket, the hotel, and the admission ticket, travelers can save a lot of money when they use the group discount. In the second place, there are many advantages too when people travel led by a tour guide. Thetour guide will arrange all the details about the trip in advance. The traveler need not worry aboutwhere to find the hotel, where to rent the car, and how to find the direction. It will make the trip a little bit easy. Another advantage is that led by a tour guide will save much time than travelingalone. With the professional knowledge, tour guide will make the smartest schedule. I wouldnever forget that one of my friend, a city tour guide in the Shanghai, China, said that she can leadtraveler to visit the whole city by one day which people should spend two or three days to finishit. In conclusion, there are many advantages when people travels in a group led by a tour guide, suchas save money, save time, do not feel boring, and is easy to take care of. Therefore, I stronglyagree that the best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide.。

(1)Which one do you prefer, to solve problems on your own experience and knowledge, or to ask others for advice? As knowledge and experience serve as twim towers in problem-solving, one is often presented with two major paths that pave the way for final fulfillment, eitther to wrack his brain, just like what happened to Neuton, siiting for many years under an apple tree and eventually figuring out ond of the greatest universal rules that govern the whole globe, or to seek for others’ widsom through their advice, just as in the case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Both ways work. When a practical goal is involved, however, Benjimin Franklin may best be regareded as a role model in this respect and asking people for advice often turn out to be the prime alternative.Experience and knowledge bor rowed or learned from others’ advice contribute greatly to effectiveness and effeciency for a goal-accomplishment. Not all experience and knowledge related to problem-solving can be obtained by personal effort alone due to limitations of mind and capabilities of each individual. A single thought in someone’s mind is, more often than not, far less shining compared with group’s wisdom. That explains the famous old saying that one sees further when standing upon the shoulders’ of past great giants; that explai ns why a great leader is always with greater minds; that also explains why teamwork in corperation is highly emphasized in the 21st century. Brainstorm and exchange of ideas between different thoughts never fail to enhance capabilities of each individula involved, a team, a company, an institution, a country, or even the entire global village.Asking others’ advice instead of getting everything done on one’s own promotes democracy and communication too. In terms of democracy, it is necessary to give others rights and chances to speak since the problem may concern them in different ways, and their saying in turn reflects our respect toward freedom of speech as well as their wisdom. In terms of communication, idea exchange sometimes focuses more than solutions, and hereby better mutual understanding about perspectives, principles, praticalities and personalities of each other.Admittely turning to others for help and suggestion by no means refers to absolute and irresponsible dependence. Consideration upon different thoughts and ideas broadens our mind, enlarges our vision, furthers understanding, enhances more effective and efficient brainstorm, and stresses mutual respect in groups and communities, which undoubtedly gives rise to better, if not the best solutions. As is paraphrased from John F Kenedy, brainstormed, there is little we cannot do while divided, there is little we can do. (2)Case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Others live in different towns and cities. Which do you think is beterr? Give reasons for your answer. After they complete their univerrsity studies, some students preferr to live in their hometowns while others choose to live in different towns or cities. Everybody has his own reasons for his preference. After my graduation, I will go back and live in my home city. I have made this decision because of the following reasons.Firstly, my home city is a big city that can offer a lot. There are plenty of opportunities for work, many big libraries for studies, several differrent musiums for visit, and numerous cinemas, theaters and centers for entertainment. When I go back there, I will have no difficulty in finding a job suitable for me and I can make use of all the facilities available there.Secondly, if I go back to my home city, I can look after my parents. I take this into consideration because I am their only child and they are now weak and getting on in age. If I live in the same city with them, I can visit them very often and help them whenever it is necessary.Thirdly, if I live in my home city, I will have a lot of friends, schoolmates and relatives to visit and to turn to for help when I need. Of course, I could get acquainted with many people and make many friends if I were to go to live in a strange place, but that takes time. If I go back to my home city, everybody will be waiting for me and I will be able to settle down comfortably without any trouble and waste of time.In short, my choise is based on a careful consideration of my home city and my family. I think it is a better or sensible choice; in a certain sense, it is a must.Neighbors are the people who live near us. In your opinion, what are the qualities of a good neighbor? Use specific details and examples in your answer. (4)If you have a good neighbor, you are a lucky person. You have someone who cares about your needs and your property, who is helpful in the little day-to-day situations that come up, and who is supportive in times of crisis.A good neighbor is someone who, for instance, understands that your children may occasionally run across his lawn,- even though you tell them not to. He'll realize that children can be careless about things like that, and he won't make a big fuss about it unless it becomes a regular thing. In the same vein, he knows that you'll understand if some of the trash from his trash cans blows across into your yard. In other words, he is sensitive to the unintentional things that can happen. He doesn't make a big deal about them.A good neighbor is also respectful of your property. For example, she asks your permission before doing anything that interferes with what's yours. This means she wouldn't plant a huge tree in between your houses without asking how you felt about it. If she wanted to put up a fence, she would let you know first. She might work with you to decide where it should be placed. Maybe the two of you would even split the cost.A good neighbor would lend you some milk if you ran out. She'd give you a ride to work if your car was broken, and let your children stay at her house in the evening if you got stuck working overtime. You would do the same for her. Both of you would help make the other's life easier. When something really awful happens to you, like a death in the family, a good neighbor will volunteer to help in any way he can. This could mean something small, like making some casseroles to put in your freezer to feed visiting relatives. Or it could mean something big, like helping you get through the sadness of the funeral.I think only someone who has experienced a bad neighbor can really appreciate a good one! A good neighbor can be a good friend. He or she can make all the difference in the world to your life. (5)Some people prefer to eat at food stands or restaurants. Other people prefer to prepare and eat food at home. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and esamples to support your answer. Some people like to eat out at food stands and restaurants, while others like to prepare food at home. Often it depends on the kind of lifestyle people have. Those with very busy jobs outside the house don’t always have time to cook. They like the convenience of eating out. Overall, though, it is cheaper and healthier to eat at home. While eating in restaurants is fast, the money you spend can add up. When I have dinner at a restaurant with a friend, the bill is usually over twenty dollars. I can buy a lot of groceries with that much money. Even lunch at a fast-food stan d usually costs five or six dollars for one person. That’s enough to feed the whole family at home.Eating at home is better for you, too. Meals at restaurants are often high in fat and calories, and they serve big plates of food-much more food-than you need to eat at one meal. If you cook food at home, you have more control over the ingredients. You can use margarine instead of butter on your potatoes, or not put so much cheese on top of your pizza. At home, you can control your portion size. You can serve yourself as little as you want. In a restaurant, you may eat a full plate of food "because you paid for it."It’s true that eating out is convenient. You don’t have to shop, or cook, or clean up. But real home cooking doesn’t have to take up a lot of time. There are lots of simple meals that don’t take long to make. In fact, they’re faster than eating out, especially if you think of the time you spend driving to a restaurant, parking, waiting for a table,, waiting for service, and driving home. Both eating at restaurants and cooking at home can be satisfying. Both can taste good and be enjoyed with family and friends. I prefer cooking at home because of the money and health issues, but people will make the choice that fits their lifestyle best. It has recently been announced that a new movie theater may be built in your neighborhood. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.A New Movie TheaterEntertainment is an importan t part of everyone’s life. We all need to take time to relax insgroupsto live healthy lives and do our work efficiently. It is easier to relax when an appropriate form of entertainment is convenient and close by. Therefore, I would support a proposal to build a new movie theater in my neighborhood.Entertainment places can bring some disadvantages to a community such as increased traffic and noise, but I believe the advantages of a new movie theater would outweigh these concerns. For one thing, the people in my neighborhood would save time. When they wanted to see a movie they could simply walk to the new theater rather than spend time traveling by bus or car. In addition, it would be safer for children to visit a nearby movie theater rather than one in some other part of the city. And finally, a new theater might attract other businesses, such as restaurants and coffee shops, where the people of my neighborhood could go to relax. In short, a new movie theater in the neighborhood would increase the number of entertainment options for the residents. They could enjoy themselves more easily without spending a lot of time traveling to another part of the city. For these reasons I would support the building of a movie theater in my neighborhood.

it will specifically harm only the cane toads. The virus will control the population of cane toads by preventing them from maturing and reproducing.ListeningThe cane toad won’t be as easy to get rid of as the reading suggests. The measures proposed by the reading are likely either to be unsuccessful or to cause unwanted environmental damage.First of all, a national fence probably won’t stop the spread of the toad. That’s because young toads and toad eggs are found in rivers and streams. No matter where the fence is located, at some point there will be rivers or streams flowing from one side to the other. These waterways will be able to carry the young toads and their eggs to the other side.Since it’s only necessary for a few young toads or eggs to get through the fence in order to establish population on the other side, the fence is unlikely to be effective.Secondly, a massive group of volunteers could have success trapping and destroying toads. But it’s likely that these untrained volunteers would inadvertently destroy many of Australia’s native frogs. Some of which are endangered. It’s not always easy to tell the cane toad apart from native frogs especially when it’s young.Third, using the virus is a bad idea because it could have terrible consequences for cane toads in their original habitat in Central and South America. You might be wondering how can a virus released in Australia cause harm in the America.Well,Australian reptiles and amphibians are often transported to other continents by researchers or pet collectors for eXample.Once the animals infected by the virus reach Central and South America, the virus will attack the native cane toads and devastate their populations. That would be and ecological disaster because in the America cane toads are a native species and a vital part of the ecosystem. So if they are eliminated, the whole ecosystem will suffer. In the reading passage, the author raises that reading less literature has caused unfortunate effects on the reading public, the cultural general and literature the contrary, theprofessor strongly contradicts with it.To begin with, according to the reading passage, the author mainly talks about reading less literature cannot provide readers with intellectual contrast, the lecturer disagrees with it and she reasons that a book doesn’t have to be literature to be intellectually books, history and political analysis aren’t literature but they are often of high quality and some of those books are just as creative and well-written as novels and don’t assume that someone who isn’t reading literature isn’t reading a good book.To be followed, the reading passage indicates that the culture is in speaker holds the opposite opinion and she says that people are not just spending less time in literature and they are spending less time with books in are many culturally valuable material that isn’t written such as a brilliant song and good are not wasting their time when they listen to good songs and watch good non-literal activities will not lower the some of those creative forms can speak more directly to contemporary concerns than literature does.Lastly, the writer in the reading part says that it is the readers’fault to lead to the less support for comparison, the listening material presents a totally different opinionthat it is the authors’fault because today’s literature is intended to be difficult to don’t assume the earlier’s generations of readers would read a lot modern literature today. The lecture and the reading discuss ( ).The lecturer puts forward 3 pioints and effectively contradicts the opinions of the reading.First of all, the reading says that ( ).In contrast, the lecture claims that ( ).By this way, the lecture contradicts the first opinion of the reading.Second, the reading claims that ( ), while according to the lecture, this is not the case. The lecturer says that ( ).By casting doubt on an important peice of evidence of the reading, the lecture contradicts the second claim of the reading. Finally, the reading states that ( ), while the lecture claims that ( ).Thus the lecture refutes the last claim of the reading. The reading passage contends that…(详细的写)The listening material completely refutes the reading passage .It is pointed in the listening that ……(写出main idea 就行) First, the point, stated in the reading passage, isthat … In contrast, the listening passage holds the opposite opinion and believes that ……Second, the reading passage contends that …… But the speaker in the listening says that …Third, the author, in the reading passage, believes that ……However, the lecturer in the listening argues that ……。

Topic: parents are more involved in their children’s education than the parents in the past.It is not uncommon to see that parents are have incredible zael to participate into their children’s education in many perspectives. At contemporary society, parents always take part in some semilars that are related to students’s study and force their children to join the extra-curricula classes which can help their chldren to improve acdemic performance. Therefore, as far as I am considerd, nowadays, parents’ involvement in kids’ study is much more emphasized than ever pared with the parents in the past, parents at present, have a strong will to make their children more competent in the future career. With the development of the society, the compitition in the modern society is increasingly fierce than ever before.Every parents want their children not only can survive in the compitition but also want them to be successful in the future.Hence, those parents take pains to achieve this ambitions on their own way and consequently, because they think education is the gateway to seccess, they should be involved in their children’ s study and help their children as well.On the contrary, because of the low living standre, parents in the past only think how to bring chilren up and let them survive, so there is no time for them to have such ambitions. Therefore, it is reasonable for us to think that parents no wdays are more interseted in children’s education.Additionally, it is universally acknowledged that in the modern era, parents have a extremely high expectation than in the past.Parents want their children to be versatile and prominent, which lead most part of children can not achieve this goal at all, thus, under this circumstance, parents will help children in personally that of course include preants’ participation in children’s study.By contrast, in the past, parents just make their children free and let them do what they want.Parents will not discipline children unless they make blunder. So, we can draw a conclusion that the untouchable expectation make parents involve more in the children’s study. In conclusion, because the increasingly competitive society and high expectation make parents nowdays have more zeat in children’s study and take part in it actively. But, from my perspective, parents should give enough space for children to manage their own study. 1.Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: It is more important for students to study history and literature than it is for them to study science and mathematics?I strongly agree with the statement that studying history and literature is more important for students than studying science and mathematics. While science and mathematics are undoubtedly valuable subjects, history and literature provide students with a well-rounded education that fosters critical thinking, cultural understanding, and communication skills.History allows students to learn from the past, understand the evolution of societies, and gain insights into the consequences of human actions. Literature, on the other hand, exposes students to diverse perspectives, fosters empathy, and enhances language skills. While science and mathematics are essential for technological advancements, history and literature provide the ethical and cultural context necessary for responsible innovation. Therefore, a balanced curriculum that includes history and literature is vital for developing informed and well-rounded individuals.2. Some people believe that technology has made children less creative than they were in the past. Do you agree or disagree?I disagree with the notion that technology has made children less creative. While technology has introduced new forms of entertainment and learning, it has also provided opportunities for creativity and innovation.Technology enables children to engage in various creative activities. They can create digital art, compose music using software, and even design video games.Additionally, access to information and diverse perspectives through the internet can inspire creativity and expand their horizons. Moreover, technology often requires problem-solving and critical thinking skills, which are fundamental to creativity. Children who use technology to solve puzzles, code, or explore scientific concepts are actively engaging their creative minds. In conclusion, technology can serve as a powerful tool to foster creativity in children when used thoughtfully and in moderation. It opens up new avenues for expression and problem-solving, making it a valuable asset rather than a hindrance to creativity.3. Some people think that environmental problems are too big for individuals to solve, and that only governments and large companies can make a difference. To what extent do you agree or disagree?I disagree with the notion that individuals cannot make a difference in solving environmental problems. While government and large companies play significant roles, individual actions collectively have a substantial impact on the environment.Individuals can reduce their carbon footprint by conserving energy, using public transportation, and adopting sustainable practices in their daily lives. By making environmentally conscious choices, such as reducing plastic waste or conserving water, individuals contribute to positive environmental change.Furthermore, individual actions can influence governments and corporations. Grassroots movements and consumer demand for eco-friendly products have led to policy changes and increased corporate responsibility. For instance, the push for renewable energy sources and stricter environmental regulations has been driven, in part, by public awareness and advocacy. In conclusion, individuals have the power to make a difference in addressing environmental problems through their choices, actions, and influence on largerentities. While governments and corporations have a crucial role to play, individual efforts are integral to creating a sustainable future.4. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: It is important for governments to spend money on art such as music, painting, and dance?I strongly agree with the statement that it is important for governments to spend money on art. Art plays a vital role in society, fostering cultural enrichment, creativity, and social cohesion.Government investment in art supports cultural preservation and heritage. Museums, galleries, and cultural institutions receive funding to protect and showcase valuable artworks, preserving the cultural identity and history of a nation.Art also enhances creativity and innovation, benefiting society as a whole. Exposure to various forms of art, such as music, painting, and dance, stimulates creative thinking, problem-solving, and individual expression. This creativity can have positive impacts in fields beyond art, including science, technology, and business.Additionally, art contributes to social cohesion by providing a platform for shared experiences and expressions of diverse perspectives. Cultural events and artistic performances bring communities together, fostering a sense of unity and belonging. In conclusion, government investment in art is a wise allocation of resources that promotes cultural preservation, creativity, and social cohesion. It enriches society in ways that extend beyond the artistic realm.5. Some people believe that immigrants should adopt the culture of their new country, while others think they should maintain their own cultural traditions. Discuss both views and give your opinion. The question of whether immigrants should adopt the culture of their new country or maintain their own cultural traditions is a complex one, with valid arguments on both sides.Advocates for cultural assimilation argue that adopting the culture of the host country is essential for social cohesion and integration. They contend that shared values, language, and customs facilitate better communication and understanding among diverse communities. Cultural assimilation, they argue, helps immigrants become active and productive members of their new society. On the other hand, supporters of cultural preservation argue that maintaining one's cultural traditions is vital for preserving identity and diversity. They believe that a multicultural society is enriched by the contributions of various cultures and that immigrants should not be forced to abandon their heritage. Cultural preservation, they argue, can lead to a more vibrant and inclusive society. In my opinion, the ideal approach lies in a balance between assimilation and cultural preservation. Immigrants should have the freedom to choose which aspects of their cultural heritage they wish to maintain, while also respecting and adapting to the cultural norms and values of their new country. This balance allows for the coexistence of diverse cultures while fostering integration and understanding within the broader society.6. Some people believe that the government should promote a vegetarian diet to improve public health, while others think it should be a personal choice. Discuss both views and give your opinion. The promotion of a vegetarian diet by the government to improve public health is a topic of debate. Some argue that it should be a personal choice, while others believe in government intervention.Proponents of government promotion of a vegetarian diet argue that it can lead to better public health outcomes by reducing the consumption of meat, which is associated with various health risks. They contend that government campaigns can educate the public about the benefits of a vegetarian diet and provide incentives for healthier eating. On the other hand, advocates for personal choice argue that individuals should have the freedom to make their dietary decisions based on their preferences and beliefs. They believe that government should not interfere in matters of personal choice, including what people choose to eat.In my view, the government should play a role in promoting healthy dietary choices, but it should not mandate a vegetarian diet. Education and awareness campaigns can provide information about the health benefits of reducing meat consumption, but the ultimate decision should rest with individuals. Encouraging a balanced and informed approach to diet is key to improving public health.7. Some people argue that the death penalty should be abolished because it is inhumane, while others believe it serves as an effective deterrent for serious crimes. Discuss both views and give your opinion. The debate over the death penalty is a contentious one, with arguments on both sides regarding its humanity and effectiveness as a deterrent for serious crimes.Opponents of the death penalty argue that it is inhumane and violates the right to life. They contend that there is a risk of executing innocent individuals, and that the death penalty does not serve as an effective deterrent, as there is no conclusive evidence that it reduces serious crimes. On the other hand, proponents of the death penalty believe that it serves as a powerful deterrent for heinous crimes such as murder. They argue that it provides closure to victims' families and ensures that dangerous criminals do not have the opportunity to commit further crimes. In my opinion, the death penalty should be abolished. The potential for irreversible errors in judgment and the ethical concerns surrounding taking a human life outweigh any potential deterrent effect. Alternative forms of punishment, such as life imprisonment, can ensure public safety without resorting to state-sanctioned killing.8. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: All students should be required to study art and music in secondary school.I strongly agree with the statement that all students should be required to study art and music in secondary school. Art and music education offer numerous benefits that contribute to a well-rounded education and personal development.Firstly, art and music stimulate creativity and self-expression. They provide students with an outlet for their emotions and thoughts, fostering imagination and critical thinking. These skills are valuable in various aspects of life and can enhance problem-solving abilities.Secondly, art and music education promote cultural appreciation and awareness. They expose students to different artistic styles, historical periods, and culturaltraditions, fostering empathy and an understanding of diverse perspectives. This cultural awareness is essential in an increasingly globalized world.Furthermore, art and music can have a positive impact on emotional well-being. They provide avenues for stress relief and self-reflection, contributing to mental and emotional health. In conclusion, requiring students to study art and music in secondary school is essential for their holistic development. These subjects nurture creativity, cultural understanding, and emotional well-being, making them integral components of a comprehensive education.9. Some people believe that advancements in technology, such as the internet and smartphones, have made people more isolated and less sociable. Do you agree or disagree? The impact of advancements in technology, including the internet and smartphones, on social interactions is a matter of debate. Some argue that these technologies have made people more isolated and less sociable, while others disagree.I agree with the view that advancements in technology have had a mixed impact on social interactions. While they have created new forms of communication and connection, they have also brought challenges related to isolation and reducedface-to-face interaction.Technology, such as social media and instant messaging, enables people to stay in touch with friends and family, even across great distances. It can also facilitate the formation of online communities and support networks. However, the overuse of technology can lead to reduced physical interactions, as people spend more time on screens and less time engaging with others in person. Moreover, technology has changed the nature of social interactions. It can lead to shallow, online-only relationships, making it essential for individuals to strike a balance between virtual and real-world connections. In conclusion, while technology has the potential to enhance social interactions and connections, it also carries the risk of isolation when used excessively. It is crucial for individuals to use technology mindfully and prioritize in-person interactions to maintain healthy social relationships.10. Some people believe that individual actions, such as recycling and conserving energy, are not sufficient to address environmental problems. They argue that governments and large corporations must take the lead. To what extent do you agree or disagree?I believe that individual actions, such as recycling and conserving energy, are important but not sufficient on their own to address environmental problems. Governments and large corporations must also take a proactive role in environmental conservation.Individual actions, such as reducing waste and adopting sustainable practices, play a crucial role in raising environmental awareness and setting an example for others. However, the scale of environmental issues, such as climate change and habitat destruction, requires coordinated efforts at a larger scale.Governments have the power to implement policies and regulations that can significantly impact environmental conservation. They can establish emissions standards, invest in renewable energy sources, and protect natural habitats. Government actions can create a conducive environment for sustainable practices.Large corporations are major contributors to environmental issues, but they also have the resources and influence to make substantial changes. When corporationsadopt sustainable practices, reduce emissions, and prioritize eco-friendly products, they can have a significant positive impact on the environment. In conclusion, addressing environmental problems requires a multi-pronged approach. While individual actions are important, governments and large corporations must also take responsibility and lead the way in implementing sustainable practices and policies.。

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Governments should focus more on environmental protection rather than economic development. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.范文:In modern society, there is an ongoing debate about whether governments should prioritize environmental protection over economic development. While economic development is crucial for a nation's prosperity, I firmly believe that governments should focus more on environmental protection. On one hand, environmental protection is essential for the long term survival of humanity. Our planet is facing numerous environmental challenges such as air pollution, water contamination, and deforestation. These problems not only pose a threat to the health and well being of current generations but also have far reaching consequences for future generations. For example, air pollution has been linked to respiratory diseases, heart problems, and even cancer. If governments do not take strong measures to reduce pollution, the quality of life for people will continue to deteriorate. Moreover, environmental protection can also bring economic benefits in the long run. For instance, the development of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power can create new job opportunities and stimulate economic growth. Many countries that have invested in clean energy technologies have seen a rise in employment in related industries. In addition, protecting natural resources like forests and oceans can support industries such as forestry, fishing, and tourism. On the other hand, overemphasizing economic development at the expense of the environment can lead to serious problems. Some developing countries, in their pursuit of rapid economic growth, have allowed heavy industries to pollute the environment without proper regulations. This has resulted in environmental disasters and a high cost of environmental remediation in the future. For example, some areas have suffered from soil pollution due to improper waste disposal from factories, which has made the land unfit for agricultural use.In conclusion, although economic development is important, environmental protection should be given more attention by governments. By protecting the environment, we are not only safeguarding the future of humanity but also laying the foundation for sustainable economic development.

Is it better to enjoy your money when you earn it or is it better to save your money for some time in the futureUse specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.范文The Advantages of Saving MoneyEveryone must work to live, but many people are fortunate enough to make more money than they immediately need. What should they do with this extra incomeWhile it is tempting for people to spend it all on things they desire,I believe it is better to save at least a portion of the extra income for the future.By saving money, people give themselves more security. They cannot predict the future; perhaps one day they will be jobless. At a time like this their savings can spare them a great deal of suffering and help to see them through the hard time.In addition, saving money allows people to build up a larger sum. They can then buy something more worthwhile than the small things they can but if they spend the money right away. For example, they may be able to buy a house with their savings. Finally, the practice of saving helps people develop the habit of setting goals and planning for their future. In this way they are bound to lead more meaningful and successful lives. Most people would like to enjoy their money immediately.Nobody likes to wait for the things that he wants. However,if we learn to save our money,we can gain more advantages in the future. We will lead more secure and, thus, happier lives. We will also be able to buy the things we truly want but cannot afford right now. In this temple as in people"s heart abraham lincoln who saved the union will be enshined forever这是写林肯纪念堂上的一句话. DISHONESTY KILLS RELIABILITYThere are certain considerations or factors that everyone takes into account in a relationship. People may look for honesty, altruism, understanding, loyalty, being thoughtful etc! Everyonewould more or less wish that the person s/he isdealing with, has some of these virtues above.Putting them in an order according to their importance, however can be very subjective and relative. When someone asks him/herself the question “What do Iconsider to be the most important thing in my relationship”the answerdepends on a lot of factors such as how his/her earlier relationships were. After stating that everyone’s opinioncan be different about this, for me honesty, in other words, always telling thetruth is the most important consideration in a relationship. Opposite of thisis inarguably lying and if someone needs to lie, either s/he is hidingsomething or is afraid of telling me something. In any relationship of mine, I would wish that first of all, the person I’m dealing with is honest. Even though s/he thinks thats/he didsomething wrong that I wouldn’t like, s/he’d better tell me the truth and notlie about it. Later on if I find out about a lie or hear the truth from someoneelse, that’d be much more unpleasant. In that case how can I ever believe ortrust that person again How can I ever believe that this person has enoughconfidence in me to forgive him/her and carry on with the relationship fromthere. So if I cannot trust a person any more, if the person doesn’t think Ican handle the truth, there’s no point to continuing that relationship.Although I would like to see altruistic, understanding, thoughtful and loyal behavior from people, an instance of the opposite of these behaviorswould not upset me as much as dishonesty would. Among all the possiblebehaviors, dishonesty is the only one for me that terminates how I feel about aperson’s reliability. Therefore honesty would be my first concern and themost important consideration in a relationship. The lecture and the listening have different ideOffering employees the option of a four-day workweek won’t affect the company profits, economic conditions or the lives of employees in the ways the reading suggests.First, offering a four-day workweek will probably force companies to spend more, possibly a lot more.Adding new workers means putting much more money into providing training and medical benefits.Remember the costs of things like health benefits can be the same whether an employee works four days or five. And having more employees also requires more office space and more computers. These additional costs would quickly cut into company profits.Second, with respect to overall employment,it doesn’t follow that once some employees choose a four-day workweek, many more jobs will become available.Hiring new workers is costly,as I argued a moment ago.And companies have other options. They might just choose to ask their employees to work overtime to make up thedifference.Worse, companies might raise expectations. They might start to expect that their four-day employees can do the same amount of work they used to do in five days.If this happens, then no additional jobs will be created and current jobs will become more unpleasant. Finally, while a four-day workweek offers employees more free time to invest in their personal lives,it also presents some risks that could end up reducing their quality of life.Working a shorter week can decrease employees’ job stability and harm their chances for advancing their careers.Four-day employees are likely to be the first to lose their jobs during an economic downturn. They may also be passed over for promotions because companies might prefer to havefive-day employees in management positions to ensure continuous coverage and consistent supervision for the entire workweek. Depending on personal experience, personality type and emotional concern, we find that some people hold the idea of A meanwhile othersprefer to B, from my point of view, it is more advisable to chose A rather than B. He says that the theory stated in the passage was verydifferent and somewhat inaccurate when compared to what happened in reality.First Point of Contrast First, some members got free rides. That is, some didn’t work hard but got recognition for the success nonetheless. This also indicates that people who hard were not given recognition they should have gotten. In other words, weren’t given the opportunity to “shine”. This directly contradicts what th e passage indicates.Second Point of Contrast Second, groups were slow in progress. The passage says that groups are more responsive than individuals because of the number of people involved and aggregated resources. However, the speaker talks about how the firm found that groups were slower than individuals in decision making. Groups needed time for meetings, which are necessary procedures in decision making. This is another place where experience contradicted theory.Third Point of Contrast Third, influential people might emerge and lead the group towards glory If the influent people are going in the right direction there would be no problem. But in cases where they go in the wrong direction, there is nobody that has influence to counter the decision made. In other words, the group might turn dictatorship, with the influential party as the leader, and might become less inits thinking. They might become one-sided, and thus fail to succeed. Introduction-Relationship between reading and lecture The lecturer talks about the natural process of crystallization and how the speed of cooling can influence such process, which is proved by Bowen’scrystallization experiment explained in the reading passage.Points in the lecture Natural crystallization happens when magma, which is extremely hot in its molten form deep in the earth, gradually cools off when it moves towards the surface of the earth. During the cooling process, the energy from heat is lost, and the atoms which compose the magma begin to move more slowly, forming into an orderly pattern, which turns the magma into a solid crystal structure. However, if the cooling process takes place too rapidly, then there is not enough time for the atoms to be arranged into such an orderly pattern. Therefore, crystallization can’t take place. Instead, a brittle, glass-like material will form.Points in the Reading Norman Bowen’s experiment in the 1920sproved this theory. By collecting and melting elements in rocks, Norman created artificial magma in his laboratory. He first cooledthe magma slowly, as in the natural crystallization process, and got mineral crystals. But then he suddenly replaced this normal cooling with rapid freezing, and found frozen glass materials surrounding the solid crystal structure.可以看出,“点对点”和“面对面”的结构有各自的特点,但总得来说“点对点”的结构在“对比型”的新托福综合写作中要更适用一些,因为它能把矛盾点逐一呈现,更细致地体现了听力和阅读材料之间的关系.但掌握“面对面”的结构也很有必要,因为它可以适用一些听力和阅读材料之间的关系是一致、延伸或解释型的考题.此外,在考生无法寻找到所有的对应点时,用“面对面”的结构也算是一种补救措施.附:新托福综合写作sample answer 两篇,针对的是同一个考题,第一篇用的是“点对点”结构,第二篇用的是“面对面”的结构._______________________________________________________祝你成功啦!小站托福范文侃哥托福范文。

Some young adults want independence from their parents as soon as possible. Other young adults prefer to live with their families for a longer time. Which of these situations do you think is better? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.
Nowadays, it has been brought into focus that whether young adults should live with their families or choose to be independent from their parents. This much debated problem is shaping our life every day. The choice may vary from different people. As far as I am concerned, although family life is warm and nice, we young adults should choose to be independent for the reasons as follows.
First and foremost, for young adults, the group of people who are considered to be constructers of the future, it is basic to learn the skill of taking care of their own life first. As an old proverb goes “How can you rescue the world if you can even not rescue yourself ?”so learning to be independent is an important lesson at the real beginning of our career and life.
Further, another reason why I advocate the young adults to be independent is that I think it is time for our parents to have a rest. As we all know, we have acquired too much from our parents since we were born. It is our parents who almost pay for everything for us, such as food, clothes, the cost of education, and so on. Now that we have already become adults and got the ability to make money, we should not depend on our parents any more. It is time for us to pay back and for our parents to have a rest and enjoy a comfortable life.
What is more, we are not unfamiliar with the idea “Generation Gap”, which means that people of different generations have different concepts about many things. Although our parents and we love each other, our ways of expressing the love are not similar, which may cause many contradictions. For example, sometimes I keep silent just because I am tired or I am enjoying the silence, but for my parents, it may be a signal that I am not happy or have some dissatisfaction with them, which may cause them unhappy. So, to be independent is an efficient way for me to solve such kind of problems.
To sum up, despite the fact that family life is nice and comfortable, it is obvious that we young adults should get out of the warm nest and learn to grow up. It is time for us to learn to live on our own and to be a useful person for the society!。
