各品牌MCU对比

•嵌入式应用MCU业务被证明是半导体产品市场上一项赚钱的业务。

根据市场调研公司iSuppli的统计,仅仅在中国,目前嵌入式应用MCU市场每年都有20亿美元左右的规模。

因此,在半导体业务增速放缓,经济大环境并不乐观的情况下,大多数拥有MCU业务的公司都在加强该项业务。

而在此过程中,MCU厂商的策略各有不同。

CortexM3拓展消费和工业市场或将形成三足鼎立局面毫无疑问,基于ARMCortex-M3的MCU产品目前在嵌入式MCU市场掀起了一股热潮。

多家MCU企业已经推出或计划推出基于该核心的MCU。

例如,意法半导体、恩智浦、Atmel 和东芝半导体等企业已推出多款基于ARMCortex-M3的MCU。

德州仪器通过收购Luminary,获得了基于该核心的产品。

此外,富士通微电子等企业将于2010年推出基于ARMCor-tex-M3的MCU。

由于基于ARMCortex-M3核心的微控制器具有低成本、低功耗和中等性能等特性,可以替代目前工业市场和消费电子市场中一些16位MCU,因此,ARMCortex-M3的重点市场是工业控制、消费电子等通用市场。

从目前的市场推广情况看,虽然意法半导体落后于Luminary推出基于ARMCortex-M3的MCU,但它仍是业内第一家推出基于该核心MCU的主流半导体公司。

而且,意法半导体的产品线较为齐全,到目前为止已推出70多款产品,涵盖高中低各档次应用,产品功能也日益完善,因此在市场上已陆续赢得多项设计。

总体来说,意法半导体产品市场推进速度最快,未来应该是ARMCortex-M3MCU的一个主要供应商。

恩智浦在意法半导体之后推出ARMCortex-M3MCU产品。

虽然未能抢得先机,但由于恩智浦ARMCortex-M3MCU基于最新的Cortex-M3R2修订版内核,因此其产品具有一定的先进性。

例如,R2修订版内核增加了高度集成的功率控制。

利用该技术,恩智浦ARMCortex-M3MCU功耗可以达到业界最低。

⼀般来说,嵌⼊式系统开发⼈员在选择MCU 时,通常遵循四项主要标准∶功能、可⽤性、成本和熟悉程度。

本⽂通过资料汇编,介绍⼀些常⽤的MCU选择和应⽤技巧。

微控制器(Microcontroller;MCU)是⼀种⽆所不在的嵌⼊式控制晶⽚,玩具、家电、医疗、汽车等领域都有其存在,负责各种感测、监控⼯作,例如我们常见的电饭煲、电磁炉、咖啡壶等内部均由MCU负责感测⽔温,并接受使⽤者的指⽰是否该加温、沸腾,同样的冷⽓机的温控也是⽤MCU来实现。

此外,如桌上电脑所⽤的键盘、滑⿏等也各有⼀颗MCU,负责将敲打的键码、指标的X/Y 轴位移偏量等资讯回传给电脑CPU。

对於选择MCU进⾏设计的系统设计师来说,可获得的⼤量的不同型号MCU会让选型⼯作变得复杂,如SiliconLabs⼯作电压低⾄0.9V的8位元MCU,德州仪器针对低功耗应⽤的多款16位元MSP430,飞思卡尔和英飞针对汽车应⽤的MCU⽅案,Atmel的AVR系列和Mi cro chip的PIC系列⼀直在推陈出新……虽然新的32位ARM核Cor tex-m3处理器已经发布许久,古⽼的8位8051核还是在不同MCU中占领主流地位……⾯对缤纷多彩的MCU世界,正确把握MCU发展趋势,熟悉MCU架构,甚⾄於借助选择⼯具进⾏分析⽐较就显得极其必要。

MCU市场的价值⼀、分析趋势正是由於应⽤⼴泛,MCU市场才没有像其他处理晶⽚(如CPU、GPU)那样形成垄断,MCU晶⽚业者只要能贴近某⼀产业或深耕某⼀应⽤的控制需求,就能在市场上争得⼀席之地。

就应⽤趋势看,MCU市场⽬前可以说是百花齐放,处处呈现春⾊和希望。

1、32位MCU正在成为主⼒据国际半导体贸易统计显⽰,8/16位元晶⽚仍然占据著MCU市场56%的销量和40%的销售额,最流⾏的8位Intel架构的8051晶⽚平均每年销售33亿⽚,⼤约是32位PC CPU销量的30倍,甚⾄最早於1971年⾯世的低端4位元晶⽚的销量也只⽐它们的最⾼销量低15%,嵌⼊式系统开发者仍然在使⽤这些晶⽚,因为它们具有极低的价格、微功耗,以及⼩的体积,可以为⼏乎任何应⽤增加智慧功能。

v1.0 可编辑可修改典型MCU架构详解与主流MCU介绍在前面的介绍中,我们已经了解到MCU就是基于一定的内核体系,集成了存储、并行或串行I/O、定时器、中断系统以及其他控制功能的微型计算机系统,如图是典型的MCU组成框图。

目前,虽然很多厂商采用了ARM内核体系,但是在具体的MCU产品上,各个公司集成的功能差异非常大,形成MCU百花齐放的格局,由于本书的重点是介绍32位MCU,所以我们将重点以恩智浦公司的MCU为例来介绍,这些MCU中,LPC3000、LH7A采用ARM9内核,LPC2000和LH7采用ARM7内核,LPC1000系列采用Cortex-M3或M0内核,通过这几个系列的介绍可以了解MCU的构成和差异。

恩智浦LPC1000系列MCULPC1000系列MCU是以第二代Cortex-M3为内核的微控制器,用于处理要求高度集成和低功耗的嵌入式应用。

采用3级流水线和哈佛结构,其运行速度高达100MHz,带独立的本地指令和数据总线以及用于外设的第三条总线,使得代码执行速度高达MHz,并包含一个支持分支预测的内部预取指单元,特别适用于静电设计、照明设备、工业网络、报警系统、白色家电、电机控制等领域。

LPC1000系列MCU又分为LPC1700系列和LPC1300系列,下面我们分开介绍。
