Whether it’s a question of technology, quality or service, you can often only tell how good a cylinder really is when it's put to the test under harsh condi-tions.Products with a long service life –quality that pays for itself Festo subjects every product series that leaves the factory to long-term functional and endur-ance tests, both during develop-ment and all other phases of the product life cycle. We aim to constantly optimise our products for a long servicelife and increased cost effective-ness. The results from thesetests, carried out under standardconditions, form the basis for pre-ventative maintenance concepts –to ensure that your systems are always ready for use.Example standard cylinderTests carried out to Festo standards B 10Z 9,150 km T Z 12,766 km6,000 8,000 10,000 12,000 14,000 16,000Probability of failure [%]Probability of no failure[%]TB 104Convincing innovation3K pistonsAn increase in your productivity – this is what we aim for in research and development at Festo. One example of this is the 3K system piston. Thanks to its excellent running characteristics and outstanding cushioning performance in the end positions, it can easily accommodate high speeds and machine cycles. The 3K pistons are also very short; the space saved thus enables the rod bearing to be longer. This guides the rod more precisely and permits increased lateral forces. The 3K pistons are used in the profile cylinders DNC and DNCB,in the standard round cylindersDSNU and the compact cylinders ADN. In production, only one processing step is needed to convert the magnetic strip, bear-ing tape and piston seal into a 3K piston, ready for operation. This saves time and money, which is reflected in attractivelypriced products.Standard ADN cylinder with patented 3K piston5Self-adjusting pneumatic cushioningIt is no longer necessary to adjust the cushioning on the DSNU with PPS. This reduces installation time and simplifies assembly. It is a very interesting alternative to reduce cycle times, especially for OEMs.The cushioning always adjusts itself, even with changing loads and/or speed. This ensures that all round cylinders DSNU have the same cushioning characteris-tics under all circumstances. And it means that no accidental changes to the adjustment canbe made. The PPS cushioning ensures that the end positions are reached dynamically but gently, without the need for manual intervention. This is achieved by longitudinal slots that allow the air to escape in a controlled manner.Economical: the round cylinder DSNU with self-adjusting pneumatic cushioning –PPS for short.Self-adjusting pneumatic cushioning DSNU-PPSIt is not just that time is no longer lost adjusting the cushioning, but the fact that every cylinder is set-up identically that makes the DSNU-PPS unbeatable in its class.ExampleA system for sorting packages consists of 60 stations, each with one round cylinder DSNU. A total of 60 cylinders are used. Installation and adjustment are reduced by up to 5 minutes per cylinder. This results in a poten-tial saving of 300 minutes or5 working hours for the 60 cylin-ders used.6A round cylinder to ISO 6432 for almost every industry sector7A better system –the modular round cylinders DSNU. A combi-nation of a few basic types with a variety of characteristics not only produces the optimumround cylinder for every applica-tion, but also produces the best technical solution at the best price.A comprehensive system – with all the accessories. Proximity sensors, flow control valves and an interesting range of mounting fixtures don’t leave much to be desired.A cost-effective alternative to the DSNU: the DSNUP to ISO 6432with end caps made of high per-formance polymers. You will find more on the subject of high per-formance polymers on page 9.OverviewDSNU - basic cylinder •Threaded bearing cap•End cap (AD) with threaded spigot and swivel mountingDSNU - MQ•Threaded bearing cap •Short end cap with lateral supply portDSNU - MA•Threaded bearing cap •Short end cap with axial supply portDSNU - MH•Direct mounting on bearing cap (block design)•Short end cap with lateralsupply port8The standard DNC cylinder range: tried and tested millions of timesIt can be found in almost all in-dustry sectors. The large number of variants of the DNC rangecovers virtually every option. One example is positive locking in the end positions (EL) on the modular DNC system, designed as an extremely reliable drop guard to protect sensitive system compo-nents or tools. Thanks to integra-ted mechanical end-position locking, the cylinder does not drop if there is a decrease inpressure, thus preventing damage to systems.OverviewDNC to ISO 15552• Stroke lengths up to 2000 mm• Proximity sensors fit flush on 3sides in the sensor slot • The wide range of variantsenables a variety of applications• Selected types conform to ATEX directive for explosive atmospheres DNCB to ISO 15552• Ideally suitable for simple tasks• Attractively priced• The piston is very compact and can sustain significantly high levels of impact energy. The space saved enables thebearing length to be increased• Outstanding running characteristics• All the accessories and mounting components from the DNC range are availableDNCI•Piston-rod drive with integra-ted, incremental displacement encoder• Measuring head in the bearing cap and measuring strips in the piston rod• Controlled acceleration and braking of large masses at high speeds in connection with the SPC11 Soft Stop• Force and path regulation and sequence control with SPC200• Simplest possible combination of movement and measuring functions with transducer DADEAlternative materials –potential savings for youHelmets, bicycles, automobile and aircraft components are all products that are expected to provide maximum safety and that are no longer only made of metallic materials. With good reason. For technopolymers no longer have a great deal in common with the old plastic materials; nowadays their material; properties are much more similar to those of heavier metals.Only pay for the functions that you really need. Innovative materials and attractively priced Festo products are a promising option to optimise the efficiency of your pneumatic applications –without compromising product quality.Convince yourself of the sur-prising characteristics of modern, high performance polymers, 50% reinforced with glass fibre.PropertyDie-cast aluminium Die-cast zincTechnical polymer Tensile strength [MPa] 20 °C, dry220–240 280–300280Tensile strength [MPa] 80 °C, dry190–200 40–50170Tension-E-module [MPa] 20 °C, dry70000 8500020000Flexibility [%] 13 1.8Pulsating tensile stress [MPa]505560after 106 load changesDensity [g/cm3] 2.7 6.7 1.64Resistance to media Good Average GoodStandard drive with high performance polymerADNP to ISO 21287DSNUP to ISO 64329Compact and short-stroke cylindersWhen the compact cylinder ADVU was launched 10 years ago, it was the first in its class. Only switch on the power supply when theproduct has been assembled and installation work is complete.–Comply with the handling specifications for electrostatically sensitive devices.–Observe tightening torques. Unless otherwise specified, the toleranceis ± 20 %.2.2Intended useThe spindle axes EGC...BSKF and EGCHD...BS are intended to be used for precise positioning of payloads (EGCHD...BS for large loads). The spindle axes areapproved for the slide and yoke operating modes.A rotatable ball screw converts the rotary motion of a motor into a linear motion. This causes the internal slide to move backwards and forwards. The slide 6 iscarried through a slot in the profile by means of an axially rigid connection. A cover strip 3 covers the slot in the profile. The slide is mounted on a roller bearing. The reference position of the slide can bequeried with the help of proximity sensors in the slots aB.Fig. 1 Slide modeFig. 2 Yoke modeThe spindleaxis EGC is nonbraking. If the input torque is not applied, the slide isfreely movable.Selflocking of the complete system can generally be achieved by using motorswith an integrated springloaded holding brake or with high selfbraking torque(e.g. for vertical operation).–Select the corresponding motors from the catalogueè /catalogue.The two devices are perfectly harmonised with one another.–When using other motors: observe the limit values for forces, torques andspeeds è 10 Technical data, mechanical, è 11 Characteristic curves.2.3Training of skilled personnel–Installation, commissioning, service and disassembly should only be conducted by skilled personnel.–The skilled personnel must be familiar with the installation of electrical andpneumatic control systems.2.4ApprovalsThe product fulfils the requirements of EU directives and comes with the CE marking .The productrelevant EC directives and standards are listed in the declaration ofconformity è /sp.2.5Further information–Accessories è /catalogue.–Spare parts è /spareparts.–Documents and literature è /sp.3Product range overview3.1Not included in the deliveryDesignationPart number/typePressure grease gun with pinpoint nozzle647958/LUB1 è /sparepartsBlast pipe, axial outlet647959/LUB1TRI, 744166/LUB1KUè /sparepartsBlast pipe, radial outlet647960/LUB1TRLè /sparepartsRoller bearing grease LUBKC1 from Festoè /sparepartsTab. 1 Accessories3.2Product design1Drive shaft2Thread for motor mounting kit3Cover strip4Guide rail (2x for EGCHD...BS)5Thread and centring holes for payload mounting6Slide7Thread and centring holes for footmounting (not for EGCHD...BS)8Surface for profile mounting9Thread for optional switch lug (atboth ends for EGCHD..._BS)10Slots for slot nut mounting andaccessories11Relubrication opening for ballscrew (threaded hole for alternative lubrication nipple: at the sidefor EGC...BSKF, at the front forEGCHD...BS)12Slot for proximity sensor (at bothends for EGCHD...BS)13Relubrication opening for bearingguide (at both ends, 2x EG...BSKF, 4x EGCHD...BS)Fig. 3 Product design4Transport and storage–Take the product’s weight into account. For gantry applications, attention must also be paid to parallel alignment or product height when aligning the axes.5.Take the required support spacings into consideration .6.Mount the spindle axis è Tab. 2 Interfaces for mounting components. Interfaces for mounting componentsTab. 2 Interfaces for mounting componentsDanger of screws being pulled out if the spindle axis is only mounted to the covers and the torque load around the longitudinal axis is too great.•If there is high loading, mount the spindle axis on the profile with additional mounting components.•Tighten the retaining screws to the following tightening torques:Size7080120185Screw (cover)M5M5M8M10 Tightening torque[Nm] 5.9 5.92447Tab. 3 Tightening torques of the retaining screwsFor installation in a vertical or sloping position:Risk of injury due to falling working loads. In a power failure or if the spindle nut breaks, the working load may fall.•Only use motors with integrated springloaded holding brakes.•Implement external safety precautions to prevent the spindle nut from breaking (e.g. tooth clinking, moveable bolts or emergency buffers).Fig. 6 Working loadMounting the payload1.Position the payload in such a way that the breakdown torque resulting fromthe force F (parallel to the axis of motion) and the lever arm a remains low. 2.Mount the payload on the slide with the screws and centring sleeves.Fig. 8 Maximum screwin depth3.The maximum screwin depth D must not be exceeded.Size7080120125160185220 Screw (side/top)M5M5/M6M5M6M6/M8M6 Max. screwin depth D[mm]8.49.5108.49.51510Centring hole (H7)[mm]Æ5Æ7/Æ9Æ5/Æ9Æ9Æ9Æ9Tightening torque[mm] 5.9 5.9/9.9 5.99.99.9/249.9Tab. 4 Mounting the payloadFor payload with own guide:•Adjust the guides of the payload and spindle axis so that they are exactly parallel. This will avoid overloading the guide and increased wear. For hard and stiff payloads (e.g. made from steel):If the aluminium slide is bent against a curved payload, the service life of the guide will be reduced.•The mounting surface of the payload must have a flatness of t = 0.01 mm.When using additional slides, any differences in height must be compensated.Fig. 9 Flatness of the payloadFor payloads with projection in the longitudinal direction of the slide:•The payload must not knock against the motor.Mounting accessoriesTo protect the end positions against uncontrolled overtravel:•Check whether proximity sensors are necessary (hardware limit switches). If proximity sensors are used as limit switches:•Preferably use proximity sensors with normallyclosed function. These will protect a spindle axis against overtravel of the end position in case of a broken proximity sensor cable. If proximity sensors are used as reference switches:•Use proximity sensors that correspond to the input of the controller being used.•Use inductive proximity sensors with switch lug. Assembly instructions è /sp.•Avoid external influence caused by magnetic or ferritic parts in the vicinity of the proximity sensors (spacing min. 10 mm from slot nuts). To protect the end positions:•Use emergency buffer. Assembly instructions è /sp.To avoid contamination:•Use slot covers in all unused slots.6CommissioningDanger of crushing as a result of moving loads•Do not reach into the path of the moving components.•Install the corresponding protective devices (e.g. protective grille).Incorrect specification values for the braking ramp in STOP statuses (e.g. EMERGENCY OFF, Quick Stop) result in an overloading of the spindle axis and can destroy it or drastically reduce service life.•Check the settings for all braking ramps in the controller or the higherorder controller (deceleration values and jerk).•Taking the travel speed, moving load and mounting position into account, set the deceleration values (brake deceleration and deceleration times) in such a way that the maximum drive torque or feed force of the spindle axis used is not exceeded.•When designing the spindle axis, use the Festo engineering software PositioningDrives è .Blockshaped acceleration profiles (without jerk limitation) cause high peaks in the drive force that can lead to an overloading of the drive. Due to overshooting effects, positions outside of the permissible range may also occur. A jerklimited acceleration specification reduces vibrations in the entire system and has a positive effect on stress in the mechanical system.•Check adjustments to controller settings (e.g. jerk limitation, smoothing of the acceleration profile).Control travel Homing Test runDetermining the approach direction of the motorComparison of real situation tothe image in the controllerChecking the overall behaviourTab. 61.Start control travel with low dynamic response.Even with identical control, motors of the same design turn in opposite directions due to different wiring. The spindle of the EGC turns in a clockwise direction. When the drive trunnion is turned clockwise, the slide moves in the direction of the motor.2.Start homing in accordance with the operating instructions for your motordrive system with low dynamic response to the reference switch.–The homing run may only be performed towards the reference switch.3.Start a test run with low dynamic response4.Check whether the spindle axis fulfils the following requirements:–The slide can move through the complete intended positioning cycle.–The slide stops as soon as it reaches a limit switch.7OperationMovement of componentsRisk of injury caused by rotating components.•Protective devices must be in place before commissioning the drive.•Do not reach into the swivel angle of the drive. For installation in a vertical or sloping position:The reference position is lost when the motor is dismounted (e.g. when turning the motor around).•Start homing in order to determine the reference position once more è 6 Commissioning.8ServicePerform the following actions during each service:•Check the reversing backlash of the slide for wear to the spindle nut. The wear on the ball screw will lead to increased noise in the long term and thus cause the ball screw to block or the spindle nut to break.Size7080120125160185220Max. permissible reversingbacklash[mm]0.10.10.20.10.10.20.2 Tab. 7 Max. permissible reversing backlashThe lubrication interval S int is dependent on the load acting on the product.Cut the lubrication interval S intè Fig.11 by half if any of the following situations apply:•Dusty and dirty environment•Nominal strokes > 2000 mm•Speeds > 2 m/s•Travel profile Z triangular operation (frequent acceleration and braking)•Ambient temperatures > 40°C•Service age of product > 3 yearsWe recommend lubricating the ball screw and the bearing guide at the same time.

Festo DAPS产品说明

Festo DAPS

∅as a 3or 4-position cylinder A 3or 4-position cylinder consists of two separate cylinders whose piston rods advance in opposing directions. This means that depending uponactuation and stroke pattern, this type of cylinder can assume up to four positions. In each case the cylinder is driven precisely against a stop.Note that when one end of the piston rod isfixed, the cylinder barrel executes the movement. The cylinder must be connected with flexible line connections. To achieve 3positionsTo achieve 4positionsTwo cylinders with identical stroke length must be connectedtogether. Two cylinders with different stroke lengths must be connected together.NoteDo not exceed the maximum overall stroke length listed when combining cylinders and the adapter kit.Dimensions are in inches, unless Stainless-steel cylindersStainless-steel cylinders Key featuresTheir applicationsReliable components need to be fully functional and operational, even in harsh operating conditions. The aim is to maximise availability of machinery while minimising downtimes. Stain-less-steel cylinders are therefore used in applications where the surface fin-ish of normal pneumatic drives would not be able to withstand the surround-ing media. However, designing a corro-sion-resistant system involves more than simply selecting a suitable steel: it also requires the selection of a matching concept for mounting compo-nents and accessories.Sample application:The atmosphere in the maturing cellar of a cheese factory consists of an un-pleasant mix of ammonia, lactic acid and 98% humidity. Our strengthFesto’s stainless-steel cylinders arecharacterised by resistant materials, such as 1.4301 and 1.4401. Thesepopular high-alloy, stainless austeniticchrome-nickel and chrome-nickel-mo-lybdenum steels protect against chem-ical or electrochemical stress as wellas damage to the surface materialscaused by cleaning agents or disinfect-ants. These groups of materials areparticularly resistant to uniformsurface corrosion and offer increasedprotection against pitting and crevicecorrosion. The benefits to youFesto’s worldwide service network en-sures optimum availability of stain-less-steel cylinders. As well as a com-prehensive range of standards-basedcylinders to DIN ISO 15552 and 6432,we also offer a range of matchingmounting components and accesso-ries. The stainless-steel cylinders areassembled with grease that is compli-ant with NSF-H1 and wipers in accord-ance with BGVV (Federal Institute forRisk Assessment) guidelines. Thismeans that they are suitable for use inthe food area. We will be pleased toprovide you with further informationabout future additions to our stain-less-steel range. Just get in touch withus.Good to knowOur many years of experience in thearea of stainless steel are invaluablewhen you are investigating solutionsfor harsh environments. Our expertswill answer any questions you mighthave about surface finishes andchemical resistance.2d I nternet: /catalogue/...Subject to change – 2023/08Stainless-steel cylinders Key featuresResistanceComplete resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion is not always possi-ble, even with ideal application param-eters. The following parameters in-crease the pitting effect of chloride ions:• Concentration of chloride ions • Duration of contact• Temperature• Decreasing pH valueIt must therefore be ensured during design, assembly and operation that all parts of the machinery can be prop-erly cleaned to avoid an accumulation of chloride ions.Selected sealing materials ensure veryhigh resistance to a wide range ofchemical compounds.Further information on media resist-ance can be obtained on the Internetat .In principle, we recommend that thecylinder be cleaned with the piston rodin the retracted position to avoid therisk of washing out the lifetimelubrication.Various types of machinery contamina-tion make cleaning processes neces-sary in many industry sectors. The de-gree of cleaning required ranges fromwiping the machinery with a dry clothto wet cleaning to foam cleaning withdifferent exposure times andconcentrations. It is therefore impossible to make ageneral recommendation oncompatibility.Wet cleaning Foam cleaning3 2023/08 – Subject to change d I nternet: /catalogue/...Stainless-steel cylindersProduct range overview4d I nternet: /catalogue/...Subject to change – 2023/08Stainless-steel cylinders Product range overview5 2023/08 – Subject to change d I nternet: /catalogue/...Standards-based cylinders CRDSNU to ISO6432, stainless steel Key featuresVariantsCRDSNU Basic version CRDSNU-S2:Through piston rodCRDSNU-MQ:Short end cap without swivelmountingCRDSNU-MG/CRDSNU-B-MG:Bearing cap without mounting threadCushioning typesCushioning P Cushioning PPS Cushioning PPVMode of operation• The drive is equipped with polymerflexible end-position cushioning • The drive is equipped with self-ad-justing end-position cushioning• The drive is equipped withadjustable end-position cushioningApplication• Small loads• Low speeds• Low impact energies • Small to medium loads• Low to medium speeds• Medium impact energies• Medium to high loads• High speeds• High impact energiesAdvantages• No adjustment required• Saves time • No adjustment required• Saves time• Powerful• Very powerful6d I nternet: /catalogue/...Subject to change – 2023/08Standards-based cylinders CRDSNU to ISO6432, stainless steel Peripherals overview7 2023/08 – Subject to change d I nternet: /catalogue/...Standards-based cylinders CRDSNU to ISO6432, stainless steelType codes8d I nternet: /catalogue/...Subject to change – 2023/08Standards-based cylinders CRDSNU to ISO6432, stainless steel Data sheet-N- Diameter12 ... 25 mm-T-Stroke length1 ... 500 mmLonger strokes on request-É-Spare parts service2025G1/8G1/8M8M10x1.251) An increase in the minimum operating pressure is possible with variants2) Additional information /sp aCertificates.1) Note operating range of proximity switches2) Corrosion resistance class CRC 3 to Festo standard FN 940070High corrosion stress.
