position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should address both of the views presented. In most professions and academic fields, imagination is more important than knowledge.

Argument

1."Of the two leading real estate firms in our town—Adams Realty and Fitch Realty—Adams Realty is clearly superior. Adams has 40 real estate agents; in contrast, Fitch has 25, many of whom work only part-time. Moreover, Adams' revenue last year was twice as high as that of Fitch and included home sales that averaged $168,000, compared to Fitch's $144,000. Homes listed with Adams sell faster as well: ten years ago I listed my home with Fitch, and it took more than four months to sell; last year, when I sold another home, I listed

it with Adams, and it took only one month. Thus, if you want to sell your home quickly and at a good price, you should use Adams Realty."

Write a response in which you examine the stated and/or unstated assumptions of the argument. Be sure to explain how the argument depends on these assumptions and what the implications are for the argument if the assumptions prove unwarranted.

分析与提纲：

找Adams卖房快，房价好。因为A是最好的，它有更高的年收入，更多的代理，它卖的房子平均价高。而且本人前后9年的经历也证明了这一点。

--论断很武断。找好的代理公司并一定能保证卖房快，房价好。房子本身的特点是最重要的。

--论断提供的证据不足以说明A更好。年收入高，但员工多，平均下来很可能工作效率低。而平均价格也没有说服力，大笼统，房子分类。

本人的经历忽视了一个很重要的问题，九年的时间，不仅房地产业会有很大变化，社会变化也会很大。科技的发展，社会需求的变化。另外他两处房子的差别。

结论：论断看起来似乎很有条理，证据也很多。但结论却很武断，也很不工平。要评价两家公司的业绩，除了年收外还应该包括很多内容比如

工作效率，对市场的了解等等。而要想更快更好地卖出房子，不仅要找一个合适的房产公司，还需要给自己的房子定好位
