May be guilty in his seems to passing a lot of different life became the appearance of the same day; May be back in the past, to oneself the paranoid weird belief disillusionment, these days, my mind has been very messy, in my mind constantly. Always feel oneself should go to do something, or write something. Twenty years of life trajectory deeply shallow, suddenly feel something, do it.The end of our life, and can meet many things really do?During my childhood, think lucky money and new clothes are necessary for New Year, but as the advance of the age, will be more and more found that those things are optional; Junior high school, thought to have a crush on just means that the real growth, but over the past three years later, his writing of alumni in peace, suddenly found that isn't really grow up, it seems is not so important; Then in high school, think don't want to give vent to out your inner voice can be in the high school children of the feelings in a period, but was eventually infarction when graduation party in the throat, later again stood on the pitch he has sweat profusely, looked at his thrown a basketball hoops, suddenly found himself has already can't remember his appearance.Originally, this world, can produce a chemical reaction to an event, in addition to resolutely, have to do, and time.A person's time, your ideas are always special to clear. Dislike his cowardice, finally found that there are a lotof love, there are a lot of miss, like shadow really have been doomed. Those who do, just green years oneself give oneself an arm injection, or is a self-righteous spiritual. At the moment, the sky is dark, the air is fresh factor after just rained. Suddenly thought of blue plaid shirt; Those were broken into various shapes of stationery; From the corner at the beginning of deep friendship; Have declared the end of the encounter that haven't start planning... Those years, those days of do, finally, like youth, will end in our life.大学生英文朗诵篇2My father was a self-taught mandolin player. He was one of the best string instrument players in our town. He could not read music, but if he heard a tune a few times, he could play it. When he was younger, he was a member of a small country music band. They would play at local dances and on a few occasions would play for the local radio station. He often told us how he had auditioned and earned a position in a band that featured Patsy Cline as their lead singer. He told the family that after he was hired he never went back. Dad was a very religious man. He stated that there was a lot of drinking and cursing the day of his audition and he did not want to be around that type of environment.Occasionally, Dad would get out his mandolin and play for the family. We three children: Trisha, Monte and I, George Jr., would often sing along. Songs such as the Tennessee Waltz, Harbor Lights and around Christmas time, the well-known rendition of Silver Bells. "Silver Bells, Silver Bells, its Christmas time in the city" would ring throughout the house. One of Dad's favorite hymns was "The Old Rugged Cross". We learned the words to the hymn when we were very young, and would sing itwith Dad when he would play and sing. Another song that was often shared in our house was a song that accompanied the Walt Disney series: Davey Crockett. Dad only had to hear the song twice before he learned it well enough to play it. "Davey, Davey Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier" was a favorite song for the family. He knew we enjoyed the song and the program and would often get out the mandolin after the program was over. I could never get over how he could play the songs so well after only hearing them a few times. I loved to sing, but I never learned how to play the mandolin. This is something I regret to this day.Dad loved to play the mandolin for his family he knew we enjoyed singing, and hearing him play. He was like that. If he could give pleasure to others, he would, especially his family. He was always there, sacrificing his time and efforts to see that his family had enough in their life. I had to mature into a man and have children of my own before I realized how much he had sacrificed.I joined the United States Air Force in January of 1962. Whenever I would come home on leave, I would ask Dad to play the mandolin. Nobody played the mandolin like my father. He could touch your soul with the tones that came out of that old mandolin. He seemed to shine when he was playing. You could see his pride in his ability to play so well for his family. When Dad was younger, he worked for his father on the farm. His father was a farmer and sharecropped a farm for the man who owned the property. In 1950, our family moved from the farm. Dad had gained employment at the local limestone quarry. When the quarry closed in August of 1957, he had to seek other employment. He worked for Owens Yacht Company in Dundalk, Maryland and for Todd Steel in Point of Rocks, Maryland. Whileworking at Todd Steel, he was involved in an accident. His job was to roll angle iron onto a conveyor so that the welders farther up the production line would have it to complete their job. On this particular day Dad got the third index finger of his left hand mashed between two pieces of steel. The doctor who operated on the finger could not save it, and Dad ended up having the tip of the finger amputated. He didn't lose enough of the finger where it would stop him picking up anything, but it did impact his ability to play the mandolin. After the accident, Dad was reluctant to play the mandolin. He felt that he could not play as well as he had before the accident. When I came home on leave and asked him to play he would make excuses for why he couldn't play. Eventually, we would wear him down and he would say "Okay, but remember, I can't hold down on the strings the way I used to" or "Since the accident to this finger I can't play as good". For the family it didn't make any difference that Dad couldn't play as well. We were just glad that he would play. When he played the old mandolin it would carry us back to a cheerful, happier time in our lives. "Davey, Davey Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier", would again be heard in the little town of Bakerton, West Virginia. In August of 1993 my father was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. He chose not to receive chemotherapy treatments so that he could live out the rest of his life in dignity. About a week before his death, we asked Dad if he would play the mandolin for us. He made excuses but said "okay". He knew it would probably be the last time he would play for us. He tuned up the old mandolin and played a few notes. When I looked around, there was not a dry eye in the family. We saw before us a quiet humble man with an inner strength that comes fromknowing God, and living with him in one's life. Dad would never play the mandolin for us again. We felt at the time that he wouldn't have enough strength to play, and that makes the memory of that day even stronger. Dad was doing something he had done all his life, giving. As sick as he was, he was still pleasing others. Dad sure could play that Mandolin!英文朗诵稿篇二:Remember me--- Christina RossettiRemember me when I am gone away,Gone far away into the silent land; When you can no more hold me by the hand,Nor I half turn to go ,yet turning stay.Remember me when no more day by dayYou tell me of our future that planned:Only remember me ;you understandIt will be late to counsel then or pray.Yet if you should forget me for a whileAnd afterwards remember,do not grieve:For it darkness and corruption leaveA vestige of the thoughts that once I had,Better by far you should forget and smileThan that you should remember and be sad. It roseSo wildly on the air,It seemed as if a burden'd heartWas breaking in despair.Saw you those hands so sadly clasped——The bowed and feeble head——The shuddering of that fragile form——That look of grief and dread?Saw you the sad, imploring eye?Its every glance was pain,As if a storm of agonyWere sweeping through the brain. She is a mother pale with fear,Her boy clings to her side,And in her kirtle vainly triesHis trembling form to hide.He is not hers, although she boreFor him a mother's pains; He is not hers, although her bloodIs coursing through his veins! He is not hers, for cruel handsMay rudely tear apartThe only wreath of household loveThat binds her breaking heart. His love has been a joyous lightThat o'er her pathway smiled,A fountain gushing ever new,Amid life's desert wild. His lightest word has been a toneOf music round her heart,Their lives a streamlet blent in one——Oh, Father! must they part? They tear him from her circling arms,Her last and fond embrace.Oh! never more may her sad eyesGaze on his mournful face.No marvel, then, these bitter shrieks Disturb the listening air:She is a mother, and her heartIs breaking in despair.大学生英文诗歌朗诵稿篇2The Slave's Complaintby George Moses HortonAm I sadly cast aside,On misfortune's rugged tide? Will the world my pains derideForever?Must I dwell in Slavery's night,And all pleasure take its flight,Far beyond my feeble sight,Forever?Worst of all, must hope grow dim,And withhold her cheering beam?Rather let me sleep and dreamForever!Something still my heart surveys,Groping through this dreary maze;Is it Hope?——they burn and blazeForever!Leave me not a wretch confined,Altogether lame and blind——Unto gross despair consigned,Forever!Heaven! in whom can I confide?Canst thou not for all provide?Condescend to be my guideForever:And when this transient life shall end,Oh, may some kind, eternal friendBid me from servitude ascend,Forever!大学生英文诗歌朗诵稿篇3The Snow Stormby Ralph Waldo EmersonAnnounced by all the trumpets of the sky,Arrives the snow, and, driving o'er the fields,Seems nowhere to alight: the whited airHides hills and woods, the river, and the heaven,And veils the farmhouse at the garden's end.The sled and traveler stopped, the courier's feetDelayed, all friends shut out, the housemates sit Around the radiant fireplace, enclosedIn a tumultuous privacy of storm.Come see the north wind's masonry.Out of an unseen quarry evermoreFurnished with tile, the fierce artificerCurves his white bastions with projected roofRound every windward stake, or tree, or door.Speeding, the myriad-handed, his wild workSo fanciful, so savage, nought cares heFor number or proportion. Mockingly,On coop or kennel he hangs Parian wreaths;A swan-like form invests the hidden thorn;Fills up the farmer's lane from wall to wall,Maugre the farmer's sighs; and, at the gate,A tapering turret overtops the work. And when his hours are numbered, and the world Is all his own, retiring, as he were not,Leaves, when the sun appears, astonished ArtTo mimic in slow structures, stone by stone,Built in an age, the mad wind's night-work,The frolic architecture of the snow.大学生英文诗歌朗诵稿篇4The Snowfall Is So Silentby Miguel de Unamuno (Translated by Robert Bly)The snowfall is so silent,so slow, bit by bit, with delicacyit settles down on the earth and covers over the fields. The silent snow comes down white and weightless; snowfall makes no noise, falls as forgetting falls, flake after flake. It covers the fields gently while frost attacks themwith its sudden flashes of white; covers everything with its pure and silent covering;not one thing on the ground anywhere escapes it.And wherever it falls it stays, content and gay,for snow does not slip offas rain does, but it stays and sinks in.The flakes are skyflowers, pale lilies from the clouds, that wither on earth. They come down blossoming but then so quicklythey are gone;they bloom only on the peak, above the mountains, and make the earth feel heavier when they die inside.Snow, delicate snow, that falls with such lightnesson the head,on the feelings, come and cover over the sadness that lies always in my reason.。

优美的英文诗歌朗诵稿3篇1An ancient Hebraic text says:" love is as strong as death". It seems that not everyone experiences this kind of strong love. The increasing probably, crime and war tells us that the world is in indispensable need of true love. But what is true love?Love is something we all how do we know when we experience it?True love is best seen as the promotion and action, not an emotion. Love is not exclusively based how we ainly our emotions are they cannot be our only criteria for love is when you care enough about another person that you will lay down your life for them. When this happens, then love truly is as strong as many of you have a mother, or father, husband or wife, son or daughter or friend who would sacrifice his or her own life on yours? Those of you who truly love your spells but unchildren, would unselfishly lay your life on the line to save them from death? Many people in an emergency room with their loved ones and prayed"please, God,take me instead of them" true love and be a true lover as you find a love which is not only strong as death, but to leave to a truly for feeling life.优美的英文诗歌朗诵稿3篇2Companionship of BooksA man may usually be known by the books he reads as wellas by the company he keeps; for there is a companionship of books as well as of men; and one should always live in the best company, whether it be of books or of men.A good book may be among the best of friends. It is the same today that it always was, and it will never change. It is the most patient and cheerful of companions. It does not turn its back upon us in times of adversity or distress. It always receives us with the same kindness; amusing and instructing us in youth, and comforting and consoling us in age.Men often discover their affinity to each other by the mutual love they have for a book just as two persons sometimes discover a friend by the admiration which both entertain for a third. There is an old proverb, ‘Love me, love my dog." But there is more wisdom in this:" Love me, love my book." The book is a truer and higher bond of union. Men can think, feel, and sympathize with each other through their favorite author. They live in him together, and he in them.A good book is often the best urn of a life enshrining the best that life could think out; for the world of a man’s life is, for the most part, but the world of his thoughts. Thus the best books are treasuries of good words, the golden thoughts, which, remembered and cherished, become our constant companions and comforters.Books possess an essence of immortality. They are by far the most lasting products of human effort. Temples and statues decay, but books survive. Time is of no account with great thoughts, which are as fresh today as when they first passed through their author’s minds, ages ago. What was then said and thought still speaks to us as vividly as ever from the printed page. The only effect of time have been to sift out the bad products;for nothing in literature can long survive e but what is really good.Books introduce us into the best society; they bring us into the presence of the greatest minds that have ever lived. We hear what they said and did; we see the as if they were really alive; we sympathize with them, enjoy with them, grieve with them; their experience becomes ours, and we feel as if we were in a measure actors with them in the scenes which they describe. The great and good do not die, even in this world. Embalmed in books, their spirits walk abroad. The book is a living voice. It is an intellect to which on still listens.优美的英文诗歌朗诵稿3篇3YouthYouth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being’s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing appetite for what’s next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart, there is a wireless station; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, courage and power from man and from the infinite, so long as you are young. When your aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snow s of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you’ve grown old, even at 20; but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there’s hope you may die young at 80.。

1 “If I could reach higher, just for one moment to touch the sky…”---this is from my favorite song Reach. When we are appreciating the passionate melody of Gloria Estefan, we could hardly imagine that she could return to the stage after her paralysis. In the year 1990, this Cuban singer was knocked down in a traffic accident, and the doctor declared that she might never walk again. But Gloria did not give up and kept up constant exercising. Just one year after the disaster, she stood up again and presented this encouraging song at the Atlanta Olympics.Whene ver I think of Gloria, I can’t help recalling my memory seven years ago, when I first entered university. Naturally shy, ordinary looking, average scores in study, just like an ugly duckling, I seemed to be the least outstanding one in my class. And the successive failures in the beginning led me into despair. “Am I destined to take the back seat to others?” Unwilling to submit to the fate, I paid more efforts on my study as well as many other activities, film dubbing, recital, drama… cause I just want to c atch every little opportunity to prove myself. Constant effort yields sure success. Thanks to the competition, I received some awards and most of all, I gained the courage and confidence to face any difficulties in my life journey.Life is just like farming, and what you can reap depends a lot on your sowing and dedication. Once you have a dream, don’t be hesitant. Your next difficult step may be the one to the top. Keep going forward, even in the toughest time, and never give up.绝不放弃“假如我可以抵达高些的地区,就算仅有触碰天上的一刹那…”---选自身所喜爱的歌《到达》。

To pine on the stem;Since the lovely are sleeping, Go, sleep thou with them.thus kindly I scatterThy leaves o'er the bedWhere thy mates of the garden Lie scentless and dead.Soon may I follow,When friendships decay,And from Love's shining circle The gems drop away. When true hearts lie withered, And fond ones are flown,O! who would inhabitThis bleak world alone?

Oh Captain! My Captain! Our fearful trip is done,The ship has weather'd every rack, the prize we sought is won,The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring; But Oh heart! heart! heart!Oh the bleeding drops of red!Where on the deck my Captain lies,Fallen cold and dead.Oh Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;Rise up -for you the flag is flung -for you the bugle trills,For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths-for you the shores crowding, For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turing; Here, Captain! dear father! This arm beneath your head;It is some dream that on the deckYou've fallen cold and dead.My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still,My father does not feel my arm , he has no pulse nor will; The ship is anchor'd safe and sound, its voyage closed and done; From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;Exult, Oh shores! and ring, Oh bells! But I,with mournful tread,Walk the deck my captain lies,Fallen cold and dead.英文诗歌篇二:Remember me--- Christina RossettiRemember me when I am gone away,Gone far away into the silent land; When you can no more hold me by the hand,Nor I half turn to go ,yet turning stay.Remember me when no more day by dayYou tell me of our future that planned:Only remember me ;you understandIt will be late to counsel then or pray.Yet if you should forget me for a whileAnd afterwards remember,do not grieve:For it darkness and corruption leaveA vestige of the thoughts that once I had,Better by far you should forget and smileThan that you should remember and be sad. "英文诗歌篇三The Goodness of LifeThough there is much to be concerned about, there is far, far more for which to be thankful. Thoug h life’s goodness can at times be overshadowed, it is never outweighed. For every single act that is senselessly destructive, there are thousands more small, quiet acts of love, kindness and compassion. For every person whoseeks to hurt, there are many, manymore who devote their lives to helping and to healing. There is goodness to life that cannot be denied. In the most magnificent vistas and in the smallest details, look closely, for that goodness always comes shining through. There is no limit to the goodness of life. It grows more abundant with each new encounter. The more you experience and appreciate the goodness of life, the more there is to be lived.Even when the cold winds blow and the world seems to be covered in foggy shadows, the goodness of life lives on. Open your eyes, open your heart, and you will see that goodness is everywhere.Though the goodness of life seems at times to suffer setbacks, it always endures. For in the darkest moment it becomes vividly clear that life is a priceless treasure. And so the goodness oflife is made even stronger by the very things that would oppose it.Time and time again when you feared it was gone forever you found that the goodness of life was really only a moment away. Around the next corner, inside every moment, the goodness of life isthere to surprise and delight you.Take a moment to let the goodness of life touch your spirit and calm your thoughts. Then, share your good fortune with another. For the goodness of life grows more and more magnificent eachtime it is given away.Though the problems constantly scream for attention and the conflicts appear to rage ever stronger, the goodness of life grows stronger still, quietly, peacefully, with more purpose andmeaning than ever before.英文诗歌篇四When You Are OldWhen you are old and grey and full of sleep,And nodding by the fire, take down this book,And slowly read, and dream of the soft look,Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep; How many loved your moments of glad grace,And loved your beauty with love false or true, But one man loved the pilgrim Soul in you,And loved the sorrows of your changing face; And bending down beside the glowing bars,Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled,And paced upon the mountains overhead,And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.感谢您的阅读,祝您生活愉快。

大学生英语诗歌朗诵比赛稿3分钟篇1 I have been in University for about one year. During my stay here, I came to realize that university life is like drinking coke. We experience all tastes of life here, sour, sweet, bitter and hot.I am from Province, which is far away from here. I often miss my Mum, friends, and relatives in my hometown. However, I can't see them very often. So loneliness always keeps me company. I am sad that I can't be there with them.Lucky for me, life in university is rich and colorful. With more free time,we can do many more things besides study, such as joining societies clubs, and taking part-time jobs. Such activities not only make our life more colorful, but also help us improve all kinds of skills. The university is a society miniature, what we learn here will benefit our future life. Our path in life will not always be smooth. Setbacks can't be avoided. Failing an important exam, break up with boy or girl friend, or refused by a promising company, such setbacks are likely to get us down. Sometimes we fell so frustrated that we even burst into tears. Drinkin coke is wonderful, despite the undesirble consequent hiccups. It's bitter, sour and peppery, but also sweet. And you'll even feel excited after gulping down a glass. A college experience is part of growing up. We cry, smile, fall in love, get hurt, leave, learn and then we become a better person.University life is like drinking coke. I'm experiencing it. And I know, I enjoy it!大学生英语诗歌朗诵比赛稿3分钟篇 2 Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment. When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said,"Richness, can you take me with you?"Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!""I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you.""Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder, Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?""It was Time," Knowledge answered."Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."大学生英语诗歌朗诵比赛稿3分钟篇3 Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen, Before the speech, I would like to share a famous experiment with you. Two big mice were put into one vessel which was filled with water. They began to struggle when they were aware of danger. But finally their lives just lasted 8 minutes. After that, another two joined the same experiment but this time a springboard was given to help them get out of water. Five days later, the two experienced big mice were put into the same experiment.A miracle came into being. Can you guess it? Without the spring board, they survived 24 minutes, three times as many as the first time.Have you found the difference between the two groups? Just one thing is that the latter has owned a kind of spiritual strength ---hope.People can lose many things except hope. One animal with hope is more respectable than one person with hopelessness. Therefore, everyone should be to hope in the life. We should have our goals, dreams, and beliefs together with the endless hope. Hope is light; hope is dawn; hope is the rising sun. Hope endows us with courage, confidence and power. Please think about the Red Army men and the last group of people rescued during earthquakes. Why can they adhere to the end? Because they believed in hope. It is hope that nurtures persistence; it is hope that creates miracles one by one. Now, please look at this. What's this? I know all of you can give me a correct answer. Yes, it is a leaf. Have you ever thought more about it? Do you believe it can save a life? I am afraid most of you do not believe it. However, it really saved one young lady. The story happened in one of O.Henry's works. One patient was told that her disease was becoming more and more serious. So she lost heart to live. And she just lived commonly and hopelessly to await death together with a withered treeoutside her window. Because she thought when the last leaf fell, her life would go to the end. But after a very long time, she found the last leaf was still green and fresh in the tree and she was also alive. Afterwards, she was told that the last leaf was just painted by a skilled painter on the window which was a gloss. At that time, she exceedingly regreted her foregone view.So ladies and gentlemen, please give a leaf to yourselves. With a piece of leaf at hand, you will find life glows with glory; With a gleam of hope in mind, you will find everything goes with smoothness. To hope, to smooth away all the difficulties, to take every obstacle in stride. You are a shinning star. Thank you very much!。

小编精心收集了适合大学生朗诵的英文诗歌,供大家欣赏学习!适合大学生朗诵的英文诗歌篇1My Parents Have Come Home Laughingby Mark JarmanMy parents have come home laughingFrom the feast for Robert Burns, late, on foot; They have leaned against graveyard walls,Have bent double in the glittering frost,Their bladders heavy with tea and ginger.Burns, suspended in a drop, is flicked awayAs they wipe their eyes, and is not offended. What could offend him? Not the squeaking bagpipeNor the haggis which, when it was sliced, collapsedIn a meal of blood and oatsNor the man who read a poem by ScottAs the audience hissed embarrassmentNor the principal speaker whose topic,"Burns' View of Crop Rotation," was intendedFor farmers, who were not present,Nor his attempt to cover this error, recitingThe only Burns poem all evening,"Nine Inch Will Please a Lady," to thickening silence. They drop their coats in the hall,Mother first to the toilet, then Father,And then stand giggling at the phone,Debating a call to the States, decide no,And the strength to keep laughing breaksIn a sigh. I hear, as their tired ribsPress together, their bedroom door not closeAnd hear also a weeping from both of themThat seems not to be pain, and it comforts me适合大学生朗诵的英文诗歌篇2My Centuryby Alan FeldmanThe year I was born the atomic bomb went off. Here I'd just begun, and someonefound the switch to turn off the world. In the furnace-light, in the central solar fireof that heat lamp, the future got very finite, and it was possible to imagine time-travelersfailing to arrive, because there was no timeto arrive in. Inside the clock in the hallheavy brass cylinders descended.Tick-tock, the chimes changed their tuneone phrase at a time. The bomb becamea film star, its glamorous globe of smokesearing the faces of men in beach chairs.Someone threw up every day at school. No time to worry about collective death, when life itself was permeated by ordeals. And so we grew up accepting things. In bio we learned there were particlescruising through us like whales through archipelagoes, and in civics that if Hitler had gotten the bombhe'd have used it on the inferior races, and all this time love was etching its scarson our skins like maps. The heavensremained pure, except for little white slitson the perfect blue skin that planes cutin the icy upper air, like needles sewing. From one, a tiny seed might fallthat would make a sun on earth. And so the century passed, with me still in it,books waiting on the shelves to become cinders, what we felt locked up inside, waiting to be read, down the long corridor of time. I was bornthe year the bomb exploded. Twicewhole cities were charred like cities in the Bible, but we didn't look back. We went on thinkingwe could go on, our shapes the same, darkened now against a background lit by fire.Forgive me for doubting you're there,Citizens, on your holodecks with earth wallpaper-a shadow-toned ancestor with poorly pressed pants, protected like a child from knowing the future.适合大学生朗诵的英文诗歌篇3My Auntsby Adam Zagajewski (Translated by Clare Cavanagh) Always caught up in what they calledthe practical side of life(theory was for Plato),up to their elbows in furniture, in bedding,in cupboards and kitchen gardens, they never neglected the lavender sachetsthat turned a linen closet to a meadow. The practical side of life, like the Moon's unlighted face, didn't lack for mysteries;when Christmastime drew near, life became pure praxisand resided temporarily in hallways, took refuge in suitcases and satchels. And when somebody died it happenedeven in our family, alasmy aunts, preoccupiedwith death's practical side, forgot at last about the lavender, whose frantic scent bloomed selflesslybeneath a heavy snow of sheets.Don't just do something, sit there. And so I have, so I have, the seasons curling around me like smoke,Gone to the end of the earth and back without sound。

大学生英语出色诗歌朗诵比赛稿范例篇1 Distinguished judges, teachers, dear friends:Hello, everybody! My name is, I come from. Today, I am very glad to stand here and share with you my most sincere speech‘Flying youth, master our future!’Life is a process of growing up. Saying goodbye to childhood, we step into another important time of life‘the youth’.However, who can really say what the youth is ? A period of time? A belief? An attitude to life? Or anything else? We don’t know.A famous poet said ‘ youth is a lovely song ,where nothing is impossible ; youth is a meaningful book, y ou’ll be never bored of it ;youth is a rapid river ,it keeps on flowing day and night ;youth is a cup of tea ,it shows you different kinds of tastes in your life. ’As youth is so precious, of course, we must treasure it .Don’t let the limited time pass by, leaving nothing of significance to our future. Actually, youth has a lot to do with our future. It’s necessary for us to prepare ourselves well for the future to come. So, what should we do? Here ,I’ll point out some tips to help equip ourselvesFirst of all, recognize the direction of your future. In other word, think of what you’d like to be some day. A teacher ? A doctor ? A writer? Don’t afraid of thinking big and great .Since you are young , you can dream of doing anything and becoming anyone in the future What’s more , never ignore the power of knowledge. Read more books and travel around. For one thing, it can increase your knowledge, for another, it’ll broaden your horizon.Last but not the least , stick to your dream. It easier said than done. After all, future is not all roses. So, we should have enough courage and determination to overcome all the difficulties.I firmly believe one sentence that‘If you think you can, of course you can!’Just believe we can make it! Keep on walking toward s our dream. Flying youth ,master our future. From today, from now on ,from Duping Middle School ! Ready ?That’s all. Thank you so much for your attention !大学生英语出色诗歌朗诵比赛稿范例篇 2 Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen:Today I would like to begin with a story. There was once a physicaltherapist who traveled all the way from America to Africa to do a census about mountain gorillas. These gorillas are a main attraction to tourists from all over the world; this put them severely under threat of poaching and being put into the zoo. She went there out of curiosity, but what she saw strengthened her determination to devote her whole life to fighting for those beautiful creatures. She witnessed a scene, a scene taking us to a place we never imaged we've ever been, where in the very depth of the African rainforest, surrounded by trees, flowers and butterflies, the mother gorillas cuddled their babies.Yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called Gorillas in the Mist, based on a true story of Mrs. Diana Fossey, who spent most of her lifetime in Rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life.To me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our eco-environment.Today, we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems. On the one hand, tourism, as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century, provides people with the great opportunity to see everything there is to see and to go any place there is to go. It has become a lifestyle for some people, and has turned out to be the driving force in GDP growth. It has the magic to turn a backward town into a wonderland of prosperity. But on the other hand, many problems can occur - natural scenes aren't natural anymore. Deforestation to heat lodges are devastating Nepal. Oil spills from tourist boats are polluting Antarctica. Tribal people are forsaking their native music and dress to listen to U2 on Walkman and wear Nike and Reeboks. All these appalling facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been eroding our resources. Encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the United Nations has made 20xx the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the world's attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our ecoenvironment. Now every year, many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations are receiving donations - big notes, small notes or even coins - from housewives, plumbers, ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and invalids. Some of them cannot afford to send the money but they do. These are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood. Why? Because they care. Because they still want their Mother Nature back. Because they know it still belongs to them. This kind of feeling that I have, ladies and gentlemen, is when it feels like it, smells like it, and looks like it , it's all coming froma scene to be remembered, a scene to recall and to cherish. The other night, as I saw the moon linger over the land and before it was sent into the invisible, my mind was filled with songs. I found myself humming softly, not to the music, but to something else, someplace else, a place remembered, a place untouched, a field of grass where no one seemed to have been except the deer. And no matter who we are, what we do and where we go, in our minds, there's always a scene to remember, a scene worth our effort to protect it and fight for it.Thank you very much.大学生英语出色诗歌朗诵比赛稿范例篇3 Whether there's afterlife, the answer has never been the same. The atheists deny after life, believing that our life is no more than from the cradle to the grave. They may care about their illustrious names after death; they may feel attached to the affection of their offspring, but they never lay their hopes on their afterlife. They may also say that good will be rewarded with good, and evil with evil, but they don't really believe any retribution in their after life. However, in the religious world or among the superstitious people, the belief in afterlife is very popular. They do not only believe in afterlife, but thousands of reincarnations as well. In the mysterious world, there are the paradise and the hell, the celestial beings and the gods, the Buddha and the Bodhisattvas.Maybe they really believed it, or maybe they just wanted to make use of people's veneration, the ancient emperors always declared that they were the real dragons, the sons of God, while the royal ministers claimed to be the reincarnations of various constellations. But can the stars reincarnate? Many people burn incense and kowtow, do good deeds and strive for virtues, not just for the present, but mainly to let God see their sincerity so as to be reborn into a better afterlife, or to achieve the highest enlightenment after several lives of practice. They do believe in afterlife. But I can't help asking: Suppose there were no afterlife, would you still do good deeds and strive for virtues? And If God does not see what you are doing, would you still be so upright and selfless? If you work, not for serving the public and liberating the others, but just for a better afterlife of your own, isn't it a little too selfish? Comparing with this kind of believers, those who don't believe in afterlife, but still keep doing good deeds, are the most sincere and honest philanthropists, because they do them not for themselves but for other. You may wonder if I believe in afterlife. My answer is: I know nothing about my previous life, so I dare not make improper comments on afterlife. But I do hope there's afterlife! Because our present life is so short that so many things slip away before our proper understanding. I have so manydreams, so many wishes, so many ambitions, as well as so many regrets and concerns. If there were no afterlife, all of them will remain unrealized!I'm not contented with the present commonplace life, I'm very much attached to the affections that should have been mine but have been washed away by the hurrying time, and I yearn for the perfection and maturity if I could start all over again. So believe it or not, I'd rather there were afterlife.。
