1.The definition of fashion
Firstly, let’s think about what is fashion. Some people hold the view that fashion means beautiful clothes. Just like some people dress in the new style of clothes and are very attractive to others. However, fashion is actually very broad. It includes the latest movies, new styles of clothes, food and some activities. We used to hear some people talking in a fashionable way. They use the words from the web such as Gei Li, Shen Ma and so on. It’s also a kind of fashion. In a word, fashion means popular things and behavior. If so many people do the same thing at the same time period, then it can be called fashion.

2.The advantages and disadvantages of fashion
For the benefits of fashion, I think the most important one is that the fashionable people are always well-informed. They pay close attention to the new stuff, so they tend to learn the new things very fast. Also, if you dress in some fashionable clothes, you may make people feel fresh, but d on’t go beyond to make people astonished because your clothes are too special. Just like me, if I dress in the new clothes, I always feel delighted.
But we can’t ignore the disadvantages. Fashionable things are always expensive. If you go to the department store, you always find that there is always no discount for the newly arrived goods, but for the old one, you can get a great discount. That’s why my mother always likes to buy T-shirts in winter and buy coats in summer. More importantly, fashion changes so fast that you will soon find your newly bought jacket is out of fashion. If you chase fashion, it will cost you much time. Maybe you just can’t focus on your study and work.In spite of the fact that fashion has brought people a great pleasure and conve nience, fashion doesn’t always mean the good things. We should not follow fashion blindly, for example smoking might seem very fashionable but it’s not good for our health, dying hair might be fashionable among the young girls but it’s not good too.

It’s very obvious that mostly the famous stars and singers lead fashion. But can you find out more? Actually, when we browse the website every day, we are influenced by the news and all the new things, for example the Internet Slang. The Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf used to be popular because the TV series are so popular.

In my childhood, rubber band jumping was so popular that almost every girl could jump it well. It was great. I used to be good at too. You know, I could jump very high. Well, let me think the boys loved playing with mud and playing hide and seek. For my parents, it would be very luxurious if they could afford a bike. In the old days, people didn’t have so many ways of entertainment and there were no extra money for them to buy something they like. More importantly, the technology was not developed. It’s hard to imagine people are using Iphone4 now when twenty years ago few people could afford a simple telephone.

5.School uniform

Many young students hate school uniform as they think it’s out of fashion. You know, usually the school uniform is old-fashioned. Others don’t like it because school uniform can’t fit them well, either too big or too small. There are still others who dislike it because it’s not comfortable. But is school uniform necessary? (6)What are the advantages and disadvantages of school uniform? If all the students dress in school uniform, it looks very neat. So if there are some important activities, it will be
very formal. Except this, students will not waste their time on choosing what to wear every day. School uniform is very cheap. Parents can save some money if the children wear school uniforms. So why not wear it?

7. Fashion in the society
(13) Have you ever seen someone wearing tattoo? How do you feel about it? Nowadays it’s quite common to see some people wearing tattoo. Personally, I don’t like it. It looks very strange to me. Maybe it’s also not good for our health.

Yeah, I often see men wearing earrings especially on TV. For some of them, it makes them look very cool, but I still think earrings are for girls. I don’t think they are fashionable even if they wear them.
(15) If someone is not fashionable, are you willing to make friends with him or her? Do you think we should judge a person from his or her appearance?
Well, when I make friends, I never think about whether they are fashionable or not. I’m willing to make friend s with the people who are kind and considerate. As a proverb goes “A friend in need is a friend indeed”. It will be better if we have the same hobby, so we can have a lot to talk about. I think it’s not right to judge a person from the appearance. The talented people are usually not showy. On the contrary, the people who like show off often turn out to be not so good ones.。
