good afternoon.my dear professors.it is my pleasure to have this opportunity for this interview.my name is qiao zixin.it is a traditional chinese name.i graduated from south-central university for nationalities,majoring in mathematics.and i have passed cet-4 and cet-6 in my sophomore year.

my hometown is a small village in jingzhou. the villagers are mostly farmers, who are warm-hearted and friendly, but a bit conservative. but i grew up in a quite open family. although my parents are common workers, they are open-minded. they tried their best to give me a good education, and they respected my opinions. it is really not easy for me to come so far.i didn’t expect this journey would have been so hard when i started preparing. i thank my parents for their love and care. if i am lucky enough to be a student of this great institute, i will try my best to develop my abilities in related aspects and try to be a qualified graduate. that is the best reward for them. thank you for your time.

hobbies:i enjoy long distance jogging.coz it not only helps me

to keep fit,but exercise my stamina.what is more important,it helps me to get relaxed and offers me a great chance to temporarily get away from my academic workload.

why do you choose this major?

i think that mathematics is the foundation of computer science.i prefer to computer science,because i am really interested in it,that is really beneficial and useful to the society.besides,i am just an ordinary student,striving to make my own future,it has a promising future,and i do enjoy the sense of achivement when i work out a problem by programming.

why do you pursue a master’s degree?

with a master’s degree,there is a lot more preferable choices,the primary reason is that i enjoy learning and acquiring knowledge,besides the decision was naturally made when i realized i would not be content to simply end my educational career at the collage level and enter the working world so soon.

what are you expecting for during the postgraduate period?

after my graduation,it feels like i know something about everything,pity is that i’m not particularly outstanding in one way or two.i wish i could know everything about something.it’s my

ultimate goal to study the major more comprehensively.besides,i believe further study could provide me enough resourses and time to finally get through something i’m not quite clear before.it’s a great way to fix the gap between theories in book and problems in real world.finally,being a postgraduate student helps me shape better personality.i wish i could be more courageous and capable in dealing with troubles in life.

what are you planning to do in your postgraduate period?

first of all,i believe that fundamental knowledge is of great necessity,that’s why i plan to get access to more professional books to lay a solid foundation to my further study.besides,i would be happy to share some teamwork with my tutors and my classmates,this could help improve my practical skills in solving problems in reality.

why do prefer our university?

i’m deeply impressed by the good reputation and academic atmosphere here.as far as i know,i bet it’s probably the most suitable place for me to broaden my horizon and deepen my knowledge.surrounded by those brilliant people,i can be more active and careful in developing ability.
