It expresses, in part, our inescapable connection with the outside world, the fact that we touch other people’s lives simply by existing. But how much more are you, Harvard graduates of 20xx, likely to touch other people’s lives? Your intelligence, your capacity for hard work, the education you have earned and received, give you unique status, and unique responsibilities. Even your nationality sets you apart. The great majority of you belong to the world’s only remaining superpower. The way you vote, the way you live, the way you protest, the pressure you bring to bear on your government, has an impact way beyond your borders. That is your privilege, and your burden. If you choose to use your status and influence to raise 1/ 5your voice on behalf of those who have no voice; if youchoose to identify not only with the powerful, but with the powerless; if you retain the ability to imagine yourself into the lives of those who do not have your advantages, then it will not only be your proud families who celebrate your existence, but thousands and millions of people whose reality you have helped change. We do not need magic to change the world.英语演讲稿2we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.I am nearly finished. I have one last hope for you, which is something that I already had at 21. The friends with whom I sat on graduation day have been my friends for life. They are my children’s godparents, the people to whom I’ve been able to turn in times of trouble, people who have been kind enough not to sue me when I took their names for Death Eaters. At our graduation we were bound by enormous affection, by our shared experience of a time that could never come again, and, of course, by the knowledge that we held certain photographic evidence that would be exceptionally valuableif any of us ran for Prime Minister.2/ 5So today, I wish you nothing better than similarfriendships. And tomorrow, I hope that even if you remember not a single word of mine, you remember those of Seneca, another of those old Romans I met when I fled down the Classics corridor, in retreat from career ladders, in search of ancient wisdom:As is a tale, so is life: not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters.I wish you all very good lives.英语演讲稿3Thank you very much.I’m so honored. I never expect there are so many people coming here to listen to my talk.Well, 20 years ago I came to America. My first trip to America, to Seattle. Before that I learned so much about America, from my books, from my teachers, from my school, and my parents. And I think I know enough about America. But when I came to America I thought totally wrong. America is not what I learned from the books. And in Seattle I found the Internet.nd then I came back and tell my friends that I’m going to open a company called Internet. I invited 24 of my friends, had a two-hour discussion. And finally we had a vote. 23 ofthem against me. “Forget about it. There’s no such kind of 3/ 5network called Internet. Don’t do it.” There’s only oneperson who said “Jack, I trust you. I don’t know what that is, but if you want to try it, go ahead, try it. Because you’re still young.” At that time I was 30 years old.英语演讲稿4I started my business, without knowing anything about computer, without knowing anything about business. I started my first company, my wife and I and a school mate. We borrowed [start] from US $1,000 we start the business. It was so difficult. I called myself like a blind man riding on the back of blind tigers. Jumping around for the past 20 years I survive today. For the first three years life was really bad.I remember I tried to borrow US $3,000 from the banks. It took me three months asking any friends I know to borrow the money.Still failed, coz verybody said “Jack is telling a lie, because there’s no such network called Internet in 1996.”So one day, later 1996, China was connected to the Internet. I invited ten media friends to my apartment. I want to tell them I’m not telling a lie. There is a network called Internet. We waited three hours and a half to see thefirst – to download the first picture.4/ 5英语演讲稿5A nd people said “Is that thing going to work?” And I say “Yeah, it’ll work, but not today. In ten years it’ll work.” But at least it proved that I was not telling a lie.I remember when we tried to help our small business to sell online. Nobody want to sell because nobody come to buy. So first week we have seven employees, we buy and sell ourselves. The second week somebody start to sell on a website. We buy everything they sell. We have two rooms full of things we bought for New Year’s, all garbage] for the first two weeks. In order to tell people that it works. It was not easy. Since 1995 to 1999 we failed. We go nowhere, our business, because nothing was ready. In 1999 I invited 18 friends of mine who came to my apartment. We decided to do it again. We call the name alibaba. And people say why Alibaba? We believe Internet is a treasure island which opens sesame for small business. And we used Alibaba because it’s easy to spell, easy to remember. And we want to focus on helping small business.5/ 5。

Today, we continue a 265- year-old tradition that binds us with a sense of pride and hope and of deep and never-ending curiosity. We initiate those who are committed to a world of openness and debate, who have learned the power of discovering the unknown and who have accepted the great responsibility that comes with acquiring knowledge into a community steadfastly poised to shape our world for the better. At the end of our timetogether today, joining a legacy of those who have come before them, we will have a new class of alumni representing 16 distinct schools along with affiliated institutions of Teachers College and Bernard college. The potential for trouble is palpable. And as we explore the profound meaning of this moment, there is one special part of our community deserves unique recognition. Graduates, as much as we, your faculty, feel deep, deep affection for you, nothing can compare to the pure, unqualified adoration of your parents and families, though you will never be able to express fully the infinite gratitude I know you feel, please take this opportunity to thank them. For my remarks today, I have three parts. I want to talk about the idea of the academy, about the enemies of the search for truth and about what we are to do.In awarding you the degrees in your respective field, we recognize your academic accomplishment and now acknowledge your expertise in some area of study. But you are now also an expert in higher education in America, simply by virtue of your presence and deep engagement with this little world over the past several years.英语演讲稿2This means two things. First, whether you are happy or sad about leaving us behind, whether you will return for another round of being a student, or you are intent on rejoining us, at some point, in a professorial capacity and becoming a permanent member of this community, I can assure you that this is true, what you have just experienced with stay with you for the rest your lives and in all likelihood it will take on greater and greater meaning with the passage of time. The second point is that I want to ask you this morning to take stock of what is now your deep and experiential knowledge about the nature and roles of universities like Columbia and with that knowledge to reflect on the state of modern society and the threats that were now facing to the deepest values that undergird these institutions, to reflect on what is at stake in our own country and for the people over the world. We need to raise our voices at the time, such as this. The idea of the academy as something separate and discrete removed from daily life is as old as human civilization. The desire to step back from the fray, to grasp what is happening at this moment in history, to find a meaning to it all and to find out what is good lifeis forever with us. Who hasnt at one point or another wanted to emulate Michel de Montaigne. If only we could take up residence in a tower on a beautiful state and write essays connecting the wisdom of the ancients with contemporary human existence and in that self-reflective pose discover our true purpose and meaning. This is a secret dream we all harbor. As always Shakespeare was familiar with this dream, and we used it to give us many notable characters whose pursuit of this ideal often ended in trouble.英语演讲稿3Theres Prospero in the Tempest, while the Duke of Milan he wishes quote to only be transported and wrapped in the secret study and he feels his library large enough. This, however, creates the opportunity for this evil brother to stage a coup, landing him on a remote island were to be sure his dark arts mastered in secret study come in handy, as may yours.Or theres Ferdinand, king of Loves Labors Lost, who enlisted three subordinates to join him as quote brave conquerors who will forswear the baser impulses of love, food and sleep in order to。

最新毕业典礼演讲稿英文5篇毕业典礼演讲稿英文精选篇1Dear teachers, dear classmates:Hello everyone!Time flies. In the twinkling of an eye, three years have passed. We must say goodbye to our dear teacher, and we must say goodbye to our classmates. No campus corner has left our footprints. Wherever we go, whatever we see, we can evoke a string of memories.Thinking back three years ago, we came together with innocence and hope. We are energetic and enthusiastic, and we are full of vision and expectation for the future. In the past three years, we have been enjoying the intense and intense school life in the sweat and feeling the concern of the teacher. In the study, we are in the teachers inculcate teaching gradually sensible, in the teachers patient and meticulous teaching happy learning; in life, we are in the teachers care under the care of the healthy growth, in the teachers care to feel the warmth of the family. Thousands of words do not mean our friendship with teachers. We can not finish our lingering nostalgia for teachers. Three years of study and life, more than 1000 days and nights, a teacher and teacher to talk to the heart of the heart, there is a teachers enthusiastic guidance, by the school leadership of the teachings in the busy schedule. There are encouragement, criticism, communication and guidance, all of which are the most precious wealth in our hearts. The mid-term exam is, after all, the first most sacred test in our life, and its pressure can be imagined. You know, teacher, your affectionate gaze is our strongest dependence. I believe that all the sweat and ideals of hard work will be transformed into a good news report. We know that it is the best reward for your long selfless dedication.Yes, we are full of confidence in this. Teacher, I feel your expectations, your eyes. Now I can still remember every smile you have, every time you talk, your every lesson is still fresh in our mind. Without recollection, everything is so vivid and very gratifying. Teacher, we really do not want to talk about leaving, we are deeply attached to you and campus. We should follow the school style of civilization, enterprising, realistic and innovative. Under the encouragement of the school motto of Ming and Germany, the learning, the diligence and the seeking, we should study hard and innovate under the inspiring of learning good thinking, respecting teachers and keeping discipline, improving themselves and developing harmoniously. We want to graduate from the alma mater and face the teachers and younger brothers and sisters, we hope that you will cherish the time, study hard and fight hard. Wherever we go, we will be proud to say that we are alma mater.毕业典礼演讲稿英文精选篇2Dear school leaders, angel like teachers, children in bud:Good morning, everybody.Today, I am a junior college graduate student and vice president of student union as my last speech at Zhao Lin junior high school. Three years, the end of junior high school life, three years of life, such as knife like wind, such as sword, came hurriedly, also hurried, time leisurely, the years leisurely. In three years of life, you may be sad for yourself, to pain yourself, to hate yourself, or to blame the teacher, the teacher, the teacher, the drops of life, and the memory of us. We saw that Kay was sitting in a tight seat, enjoying his love in his work. The summer breeze is like a temple of old wine, the tree of Lin Yuan, the people of Lin Garden are a little drunk. Today we will take a small drunken step and take the old boat ticket with faith. We have the youth, we should dare to struggle, youth is the starting point of the dream, after you walk, you will find that my future is not a dream; youth is the capital of people, after you walk, you will find that the mature you will not be poor; youth is the platform of life, after walking, the heart of the dream will sail to the next station. Life is no more than a mountain, outside the Castle Peak outside the building, life is rich and free. Once we chased crazy, flock fighting, now when we know the courage to face, once did not understand the world, eat and drink pleasure, now should be the chair of needle felt, rock pavement, Enron never move. The writing of the pen is no longer wild and proud. It is written in a small brush. It is written in a small print. It is really exquisite and real. When we met again after many years, looking back at a smile, Yunlong brother was safe. I hope that each of us has a happy life, a tender smile, a bitter smile, and a long smile on the sky. I laugh from across the sky. Our hearts are beating, blood is burning again, come on, let us chase after the life that is full of anger. Finally, the future of Zhu Lin Garden will be more brilliant.毕业典礼演讲稿英文精选篇3irst of all, we must cultivate students interest in english study. let students in learning to find joy in joy in the interest of interest, found in the determination of decision and perseverance, namely train drivers + to + perserve = interest. of course started to learn english, dont be too hard. guiding students from the simple, funny, funny began to enable students to find suitable for their interest in learning. and they decide to "light" surveys. and allow students to go wrong, dont pursue every word is correct.secondly, the students have interest, help them to plan. watch english materials and listen to english radio, looking for learning environment, life is much, learn english and have much broader, take every chance to exposure to english. in class, students try to speak in english, usually between classmates exchange, encourage students to use english, dont be afraid of making mistakes the wrong. to establish weekly learning new words in the target, the vocabulary, records recorded all sorts of new words and phrases. because learning english must have vocabulary as thefoundation, will play a protracted war, remembering words to guerrilla warfare. can make them more "to" surveys.learning english as friends, in different occasions contact might remember, not isolated words and remember its neighbors. it is necessary to guide students to read, this of learning english is very important to have more understanding of western culture and western learning habit, master of language background is also an important way of learning. then two chinese ppc to achieve. we finally achieved the goal ", two surveys to two chinese to spending."finally, let students enjoy happiness in suffering, more study is interesting, from passive to active, change from me to learn to learn.毕业典礼演讲稿英文精选篇4Dear schoolmates,As I am graduating. From time to time, facing the pressure, I quarreled with my parents, about which I feel sorry and regretful. To live up to my parents expectation, I will make my effort to work harder in university. It is no doubt that there will be many challenges waiting for me. However, no matter how difficult it is, I will spare no effort to overe it.When it es to the suggestion that I can give to you, I hold the belief that in no case should you set aside the study. So far as Im concerned, it is the determination of working hard that makes you succeed. I wish all of you would realize your dreams.Good luck to all of you!毕业典礼演讲稿英文精选篇5In the past decade alone, we’ve seen historic hurricanes devastate islands across the Caribbean. We’ve seen ‘1,000-year floods’ hit the Midwestern and Southern United States multiple times in a decade. And we’ve seen record-breaking wildfires ravage California and record-breaking typhoons kill thousands in the Philippines. This is a true crisis. And if we fail to rise to the occasion, your generation, your children, and grandchildren will pay a terrible price. So scientists know there can be no delay in taking action – and many government and political leaders around the world are starting to understand that.Yet here in the United States, our federal government is seeking to become the only country in the world to withdrawfromthe Paris Climate Agreement – the only one. Not even North Korea is doing that. Those in Washington who deny the science of climate change are no more based in reality than those who believe the moon landing was faked. And while the moon landing conspiracy theorists are relegated to the paranoidcorners of talk radio, climate skeptics occupy the highest positions of power in the United States government. Now, in the administration’s defense, climate change, they say, is only a theory – yeah, like gravity is only a theory.People can ignore gravity at their own risk, at least until they hit the ground. But when they ignore the climate crisis, they are not only putting themselves at risk, they are putting all humanity at risk.。
应届毕业典礼五分钟英语演讲稿范文五篇
应届毕业典礼五分钟英语演讲稿范文五篇英语演讲稿1On behalf of our proud trustee, our esteem faculty, our distinguished alumni, our devoted families and our unparalleled friends gathered here and across the globe virtually, I welcome you to this very special moment in time. At the end of our time together today, joining a legacy of those who have come before them, we will have a new class of alumni representing 16 distinct schools along with affiliated institutions of Teacher’s College and Bernard college. The potential for trouble is palpable. And as we e某plore the profound meaning of this moment, there is one special part of our community deserves unique recognition. Graduates, as much as we, your faculty, feel deep, deep affection for you, nothing can compare to the pure, unqualified adoration of your parents and families, though you will never be able to e某press fully the infinite gratitude I know you feel, please take this opportunity to thank them. For my remarks today, I have three parts. I want to talk about the idea of the academy, about the enemies of the search for truth and about what we are to do.In awarding you the degrees in your respective field, we recognize your academic accomplishment and now acknowledge your e某pertise in some area of study. But you are nowalso an e某pert in higher education in America, simply by virtue of your presence and deep engagement with this little world over the past several years.英语演讲稿2This means two things. First, whether you are happy or sad about leaving us behind, whether you will return for another round of being a student, or you are intent on rejoining us, at some point, in a professorial capacity and becoming a permanent member of this community, I can assure you that this is true, what you have just e某perienced with stay with you for the rest your lives and in all likelihood it will take on greater and greater meaning with the passage of time. The second point is that I want to ask you this morning to take stock of what is now your deep and e某periential knowledge about the nature and roles of universities like Columbia and with that knowledge to reflect on the state of modern society and the threats that we’re now facing to the deepest values that undergird these institutions, to reflect on what is at stake in our own country and for the people over the world. We need to raise our voices at the time, such as this. The idea of the academy as something separate and discrete removed from daily life is as old as human civilization. The desire to step back from the fray, to grasp what is happening at this moment in history, to find a meaning to it all and to find out what is good life is forever with us. Who hasn’t at one point or another wanted to emulate Michel de Montaigne. If only we could take up residence in a tower on a beautiful state and write essays connecting the wisdom of the ancients withcontemporary human e某istence and in that self-reflective pose discover our true purpose and meaning. This is a secret dream we all harbor. As always Shakespeare was familiar with this dream, and we usedit to give us many notable characters whose pursuit of this ideal often ended in trouble.英语演讲稿3There’s Prospero in the Tempest, while the Duke of Milan he wishes quote to only be transported and wrapped in the secret study and he feels his library large enough. This, however, creates the opportunity for this evil brother to stage a coup, landing him on a remote island were to be sure his dark arts mastered in secret study come in handy, as may yours.Or there’s Ferdinand, king of Love’s Labors Lost, who enlisted three subordinates to join him as quote brave conquerors who will forswear the baser impulses of love, food and sleep in order to study and learn only to be confounded in his dedication when he finds himself falling in love.I suspect that many of you during your time here have lived closer to the e某perience of Ferdinand than to the e某perience of Prospero. The advent of modern American university which largely happenedin the last century has been the institutionalization of that human dream and this little physical space in which we gather together this morning is in many respects the near perfect fulfillment of that human vision. I know no other that can match it.The columns, pillars, pediments, demes, classical inscriptions ascending steps, granite and limestone and marble and brick facades, which surround us convey the message that this is its own universe, a place governed by strictly observed code of academic inquiry, an insistence on open dialogue, informed by all-pervading skepticism and respect for the legacy of human achievement, created about a century ago, the Morningside campus represents the idea of an ordered, classical and even inward-looking world. To walk on to this campus is to feel one’s I.Q go up by 10 points.英语演讲稿4Part of the genius of this system of universities involves adding you into the mi某. It is the combination of brilliant scholars who dedicate their lives to e某ploring what we know, might know and must know about all the things in the universe, who work daily at the edge of accumulated human knowledge, sheltered by the principle of academic freedom, guided by the norms of scholarly temperament, working within the decentralized governance structure of the University. Together with the most brilliant and curious youth brought in from all over the world, to whom we teach everything we know so that they can go on with their lives and know even more.It is all this that creates the utterly unique conte某t of the modern research university and that unites the e某hilarating intertwined ambitions of scholarship and teaching. The structure and functioning of these institutions are unique, no other organization has ever been designed in these ways, nor would it seem to anyone sensible to do。

This time, Id like to talk something about English.I love English.English language is now used everywhere in the world. It has bee the most mon language on Inter and for international trade.Learning English makes me confident and brings megreat pleasure. When I was seven, my mother sent me to an English school. At there, I played games and sang English songs with other children .Then I discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the English world.Everyday, I read English following the tapes.Sometimes, I watch English cartoons. On the weekend, I often go to the English corner.By talking with different people there, I have made more and more friends as well as improved my oral English.I hope I can travel around the world someday.I want to go to America to visit Washington Monument, because the president Washington is my idol.Of course, I want to go to London too, becauseEngland is where English language developed. If I can ride my bike in Cambridge university, I will be very happy.I hope I can speak English with everyone in the world.Ill introduce China to them, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and Anshan.I know, Rome was not built in a day.I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So I believe as I love English everyday , it willlove me too.英语演讲稿 3Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, today i am so happy to stand here to give you a rather, a real story of mine.Though with time going by,i can still remember what you once told should be a brave ,you looked into myin, year out, nearly most of my memories are fading littleby only this simple sentence remained, without being forgotten in my life.Again and again,i can not stop myself from thinking about ordinary, but so impressive,so moving, just like the brightest sunshine,it helps me go through the darkest am such a sensitive girl in your said,my sorroful faciale_pression made feel so ,there is one thing i never tell you, that is ,i am being a big girl gradually with your words and never tell you about it,for i believeoneday, you can see the great changes of mine for is whati want to do in i know, that will be the best gift for you.I suddenly think of a song named MY HEART WILL GO isa beautiful sentence going like are safe in my thanonce,i was moved to tears by know ,i am also safe in yourhave already forgotten when i told you i was going to leave for Australia this summer just smiled asusual, gently you decide to do,i will be in favor ofit, but, just ohing, remember, when you fell lonely abroad,do not forget we are here ,praying for are all around you,far across the distance and space between closed my eyes, the flashback memories we hadtogether, once we played games on the palyground,we played jokes on each other, you always wrote a lot of sentences on my articles to encourage the most unforgetable thing, you told me,you believed m i could be a big or later. At that specific moment,i suddenly understood the meaning of this sentence on that day,i smiled as you used to,looking at last words i said were, keep walking in sunshine.Yes,keep walking in said to you ,also to know i am not alone wiht your pany, and we can keep walking in sunshine till the last minute of our days.I promise,i will be a big girl.I promise,i will be a brave girl.I promise,i will keep walking in sunshine. That is my speech, thank you!英语演讲稿 4Honorable Judges, fellow students: Recently, there is a heated debate in our society. The college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive e_ceptional education ate_traordinary places. But will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? Will we be able to better the lives of others? Will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country? The cynics say the college students are the peredlost generation, which would cringe at the slightest disfort. But the cynics are wrong. The college students I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money. The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth.Last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer. As college students, we are adolescents at thecritical turning point in our lives. We all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even thefuture of our country.I believe in all my fellow classmates.Though we are still ine_perienced and even a little bit childish.I believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. We are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place.I believe in our future.英语演讲稿 5This is a glass of water, tasteless, right? Howeverif you add sugar, it will taste sweet, but if you add vinegar, it will bee bitter. The same is true with our life the flavor is createdby our choices. If kindness is added to a strange you will have a friend; but if hostility is added, you will have an enemy. If love is added to a pile of red bricks you willhave a home, but if hatred is add to those bricks , youwill have an concentration c.So my dear friends, never plain that life is boring and the world is disappointing. If dont like the taste of your life, change the ingredients.Three year ago, I weighed more than 100 hundred kilograms which caused significant embarrassment and frustration in my life.Like always failing my P.E e_aminations, like always being laughed at by girls, like being terrified to speakin public. It was my grandmothers encouragement that revivedfrom my passive attitude to bee confident in myself. She said ; My dear, if you cant change you figure, why not treat it as your own style. So I began to cautiously employ the new way of thinking.By choosing to change my outlook on life, I developed the confidence to make a difference and finally I found a totally new world. So my dear friend, if faith, hope, love, endurance are added toyour life, you will find the confidence to conquer your limitation and embrace new challenges. And hopefully with my speech included, you will have a fantastic speech contest.微信扫一扫二维码分享到微信好友或朋友圈。
毕业典礼英文演讲稿(通用6篇)
毕业典礼英文演讲稿(通用6篇)毕业典礼英文演讲稿1Dear students, distinguished teachers:After years of hard study, students have successfully realized their college dreams and are about to embark on a new journey of life.First of all, ON behalf of the school to XX all undergraduate graduates to express warm congratulations and heartfelt blessing!Todays commencement is destined to be an unforgettable moment for all of us. It brings me back to my own graduation from college more than 30 years ago.I just listened to the speech of sha Ying, the graduate representative, and I believe she represents the sincerity of all the graduates of XX.Students of the school, parents, teachers have such heartfelt expression of emotion, Alma mater feel happy for you, I am proud of you!Dear students, this year, the university has reformed the criteria for awarding bachelors degree. The degree awarding has been separated from the Score of Cet-4, enabling more students to successfully complete their university studies. The reason why we do this is not to think that English is not important. The fundamental starting point is to adhere to the people-oriented concept and adhere to the way of education of the university, so that every student can enjoy free and harmonious development. The future of life should not be affected by the SCORE of CET-4.In fact, from another level, when we learn English well, we should also pay due attention to our mother tongue, establish the confidence and consciousness of national culture, which is also the obligatory responsibility and responsibility of university education.College graduation ceremony is a vivid embodiment of the spirit and culture of the university, which will remain in our hearts forever after many years. This year, the university has provided a gown for each of you to feel and enjoy the occasion.Due to the large number of graduates, I cannot personally award degrees to each student. Please understand that I will authorize each school to award bachelors degrees to each student.University is the palace of human science and knowledge, is the highland of thought and spirit. The Confucian classic, The Book of Rites, opens with the words: "The way of a university lies in being clear and virtuous, being close to the people, and being perfect.Knowledge leads to stillness, and stillness leads to stillness, and stillness leads to security, and security leads to contemplation, and contemplation leads to acquisition."Such ideas are still guiding the running practice of modern universities in China."Stop at perfection" undoubtedly represents the highest pursuit of human moral ideal, which is the power of faith. We say that the fundamental mission of a university is to foster morality and cultivate people. What is the basis of virtue? It is ideal, it is faith, it is faith.People are good and evil, people are good and evil, the key lies in the difference between ideals, beliefs and beliefs. An ideal is a vision of what is possible in connection with a goal.Faith is the spiritual will established on the basis of certain knowledge, to believe in a certain idea or ideal and to act on it.Faith is the highest level of ideas, is a certain doctrine, advocates of extreme confidence, trust and respect. In my mind, faith is a sacred word, faith is a power of thought. To be strong, a nation must have firm and upward faith. To prosper, a society must have a firm and upward faith; To live a meaningful and valuable happy life, one needs a great faith to guide andsupport.Fellow students, faith is the foundation of morality, faith is the source of strength, faith is the rule of behavior, faith is the mark of action, faith is the road to happiness. In this era of pluralism and openness, we still need firm faith. In the course of life in the future, I hope you will let the lighthouse of faith illuminate your way forward, and let the power of faith guide you to live a full life with pursuit, value and significance!Thank you!毕业典礼英文演讲稿2Dear parents, teachers and dear children:How do you do!First of all, my warmest congratulations to you as you finish your studies and head off into the distance.Just listen to the introduction of 20 classes, just like flipping through old photos, arouse my dusty memories.Remember, 20XX, in the military training base, our school team to visit you, is catching up with you in the hot sun to practice standing posture, the instructor told me that this is "I have ever seen the most strong will of the students."I remember that in 20xx, in the final district unified examination, it was you who created the history of winning the second place in Longgang District by equal points of multiple cultural disciplines. You told everyone with your efforts and actions that "everything is possible as long as you work hard."I remember that in 20xx, in the science and culture festival, you created an 8-meter long scroll "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival", and you performed a large-scale poem reciting "Ode to Chinese Etiquette" in the rain. At that time, a leader who visited our school said to me, "This is the real quality education."Of course, you will not forget the college entranceexamination, the red carpet, and teachers high five refueling, so confident, so heroic, so exciting. At that moment, I said to myself "This is our greatest educational achievement, you are xx forever proud."This touching photo will not only be treasured in the archives, but also in the minds of every xx forever.Because, she recorded your colorful youth, witnessed your growth footprint, froze many warm moments. But I also know that life cannot and should not be frozen in photographs.Today, you will leave here, resolutely to the distance of lifes dreams.Facing the distance, I believe you must be full of longing, lofty feelings. But, dear students, have not thought, you why to go far? Please do not forget, only reading can reach far.As much as you have read, dear children, as your president, I want to tell you that I would much rather see you stop studying for tests, stop studying for what you need.Reading is a lifetime thing, reading will give you wisdom and spirit, give you the direction and method of the distance;Remember, there is still peace so far away.Impetuosity will not take you far away, do not for immediate fame and wealth and exhaust your passion for life, do not shake the direction of your life for the cold and hot professional.Students, if you want to send far away, dont go too far in the direction of small wisdom, think more about big wisdom, big pattern;Dont go too far in the direction of complaining, think about how to build, how to grow;Dont go too far in the direction of hatred, think more about tolerance and gratitude;Dont go too far in the direction of utilitarianism and tackiness. Think about the dedication and dedication of your parents and teachers.Dontgo too far in the direction of self-righteousness, think more about the dream at the beginning.Boys, always remember why you set out."We have gone so far that we have forgotten why we started," said The Lebanese poet Gibran. We should not pursue education for the sake of education, so that we forget the social responsibility of higher education; We should not succeed for the sake of success, so that we forget the mission and responsibility behind success; We should not be individualistic for individualistic sake, so that we forget the essence of human nature and the direction of progress. As president, as teachers, everyone here is eager to see you go faster and climb higher in your life. But I want to tell you right now that you dont have to go too fast on your way to a distant place. The Indians told us not to run too fast, but to let our souls follow;Do not too deliberately pursue must go far, "know" can be far.Class, please take an old photo for a trip. When confused, the old photos of "seeking truth, kindness and beauty" may help you point the way.In times of despair, that old picture of you as a miracle may give you strength to move forward. When you succeed, old pictures of "progressive happiness" may add even more joy and happiness.毕业典礼英文演讲稿3Members of the Parent Council, Parents, teachers and students:Everybody is good!Today is the graduation ceremony day of our school, this years graduates, thanks to all the superiors and distinguished guests, in their busy schedule to come to guide, and give a lot of precious prizes to encourage students, on behalf of the teachersand students to the highest respect and gratitude.Dear graduates, graduation is only the end of one stage of learning, but also the beginning of another. After three years of hard study in Sacred Heart, the students finally finished their study with perseverance, patience and perseverance. All the officers, distinguished guests, parents and teachers present here are happy and congratulating you.In the past three years, every teacher of Sacred Heart has not only taught you knowledge, but also guided many people and things. As you are leaving school today, the headmaster would like to remind and encourage you.I think in todays society, there are a lot of people at the time of frustration, or work not smooth, will think of going to fortune tellers, we are not against fortune tellers, but more importantly, each one should carry his own life, go your own way and the master of himself is the fate, want to change your fate, create a new bureau, only by knowing yourself, settled themselves, their own have a real possibility,So how do you create yourself? I think you should have four things;Thats faith, concept, connection, ability. The first faith: the purpose of faith is to let us cultivate the mind and mind full of faith. What letter of the word mother source ethics, self-restraint all the good faith can cultivate good roots, can help us to bother brain, beautify life, the future is expected, life have to rely on, when everyone enjoying the material life, more need to have a soul of nutrients to nourish, soft, especially young people need through religion to balance the body and mind more, Ann lives of body and mind. The second idea: each of us should have the right idea, especially in this era of rapid competition, our idea should change with the change of external environment at any time;Theso-called mountain does not turn the road, the road does not turn people, people do not turn the heart, everyone should be timely, appropriate, appropriate situation, appropriate situation to adjust the correct outlook on life, so that they can be full of confidence to accept every challenge. The third affinity: as the saying goes, people are prosperous, wealth is prosperous, and good affinity is to maintain high quality interpersonal relationship with others. Whether a persons connections are abundant or weak is an important key to success.A smile, a greeting can become attached to others, please do not be stingy. The fourth ability: People often complain: Why do I always fail to achieve the goal and desire to succeed, but do we have enough ability to open the door to success? A product has good quality and marketing plan, but if there is no good execution ability, no matter how good the product is, it will not sell well. Therefore, it is very important to develop your own professional field and executive skills.Dear students: as the saying goes: fortune makes life, the opportunity is infinite, do you want to create the spring of your life please do not forget, you must have a firm belief, correct concept, good contacts, advantage ability, with the above conditions, I believe your future will be full of spring flowers, brilliant. Finally, wish: graduates, bright prospects, bright future!Blessing: school students, academic progress, happy body and mind!I wish: distinguished guests, good health and all the best! 毕业典礼英文演讲稿4Dear teachers and students:Everybody is good!Today, we are here to hold the graduation ceremony of the class of 20XX.First of all, on behalf of the school, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the students who have successfully completed their studies in junior high school after three years of hard work, and pay high tribute to the teachers who have cultivated the healthy growth of the students. At this moment, I have a lot of feelings.Three years ago, you entered the depression door with confidence and hope, three years later, you harvest success and dreams are about to embark on a new journey in life.Look back on more than a thousand days when you "dreamed and struggled, gave and enjoyed, achieved and exceeded".The process of learning is lonely and hard, but the result is always exciting and surprising. In this past years, I as your president, moved you moved, harvest your harvest, success in your success! Some people say that youth is too hasty a book.Yes, three years, more than a thousand pages so quickly turned over, but the Alma mater and teachers, forget you in the classroom assiduous figure, forget you stay in the Alma mater all the beautiful little drops!Over the past three years, you have learned to be curious and more positive. You learned to be a man, to be tolerant and kind; You learned to live together, know humility and comity; You have learned to do things and are thriving. In the past three years, you have developed a strong teacher-student relationship with your teachers.Teachers in giving you knowledge and ability, teach you philosophy of life, but also theirselfless love for you, give you meticulous care.In this regard, let us use warm applause to all the students hard work, dedicated teachers to express our heartfelt thanks again!Junior high school graduation, for you this is just an important stage of life journey, you become the road, but also a long journey. We cannot make cheap predictions about your future, nor can we make easy predictions about your future."Difficulties and hardships, yu Yu cheng", success only by their own efforts, success only by their own hard work.Students, you are about to embark on a new journey of learning, I want to give you three words:The first sentence: the sea is wide by diving, the sky is high as the birds fly, I hope you will study in any school in the future, can be diligent, meticulous, and achieve good results. The second sentence is "cultivate morality, aim high", I hope that no matter what kind of career you are engaged in in the future, you can work steadily in your own post, and strive to become the backbone, the mainstay of society, become the pillar of the society. The third sentence is firmly believe that "mountains and rivers doubt there is no way, a bright future and a village", no matter what difficulties encountered in study and work in the future, never be discouraged, to use a healthy and optimistic psychological and normal positive attitude to face, believe that love to fight will win!Believe that "sunshine always after the wind and rain"!Dear students, bid farewell to the familiar campus, bid farewell to the teachers and students who get along with each other day and night, bid farewell to this nostalgic life station, infinite broad and beautiful prospects are unfolding in front ofyou.I hope you will cherish the unforgettable years in your Alma mater forever and never forget the ardent expectations of your teachers. 关于大学毕业典礼英文演讲稿5篇大学毕业典礼英文演讲稿【篇1】Madam President Faust, members of the Harvard Corporation and the Board of Overseers, faculty, family, friends, and, most importantly, todays graduates,Thank you for letting me share this wonderful day with you.I am not sure I can live up to the high standards of Harvard Commencement speakers. Lastyear, J.K. Rowling, the billionaire novelist, who started as a classics student, graced thispodium. The year before, Bill Gates, the mega-billionaire philanthropist and computer nerdstood here. Today, sadly, you have me. I am not wealthy, but at least I am a nerd.I am grateful to receive an honorary degree from Harvard, an honor that means more to methan you might care to imagine. You see, I was the academic black sheep of my family. Myolder brother has an M.D./Ph.D. from MIT and Harvard while my younger brother has a lawdegree from Harvard. When I was awarded a Nobel Prize, I thought my mother would besatisfied. Not so. When I called her on the morning of the announcement, she replied,"Thatsnice, but when are you going to visit me next." Now, as the last brother with a degree fromHarvard, maybe, at last, she will be satisfied.Another difficulty with giving a Harvard commencement address is that some of you maydisapprove of the fact that I have borrowed material from previous speeches. I ask that youforgive me for two reasons.First, in order to have impact, it is important to deliver the same message more than once. Inscience, it is important to be the first person to make a discovery, but it is even more importantto be the last person to make that discovery.Second, authors who borrow from others are following in the footsteps of the best. Ralph WaldoEmerson, who graduated from Harvard at the age of 18, noted "All my best thoughts werestolen by the ancients." Picasso declared "Good artists borrow. Great artists steal." Why shouldcommencement speakers be held to a higher standard?I also want to point out the irony of speaking to graduates of an institution that would haverejected me, had I the chutzpah to apply. I am married to "Dean Jean," the former dean ofadmissions at Stanford. She assures me that she would have rejected me, if given the chance. When I showed her a draft of this speech, she objected strongly to my use of the word"rejected." She never rejected applicants; her letters stated that "we are unable to offer youadmission." I have difficulty understanding the difference. After all, deans of admissions ofhighly selective schools are in reality, "deans of rejection." Clearly, I have a lot to learn aboutmarketing. My address will follow the classical sonata form of commencement addresses. The firstmovement, just presented, were light-hearted remarks. This next movement consists ofunsolicited advice, which is rarely valued, seldom remembered, never followed. As Oscar Wildesaid,"The only thing to do with good advice is to pass it on. It is never of any use to oneself."So, here comes the advice. First, every time you celebrate an achievement, be thankful tothose who made it possible. Thankyour parents and friends who supported you, thank yourprofessors who were inspirational, and especially thank the other professors whoseless-than-brilliant lectures forced you to teach yourself. Going forward, the ability to teach yourself is thehallmark of a great liberal arts education and will be the key to your success. To your fellowstudents who have added immeasurably to your education during those late night discussions, hug them. Also, of course, thank Harvard. Should you forget, theres an alumni association toremind you. Second, in your future life, cultivate a generous spirit. In all negotiations, dontbargain for the last, little advantage. Leave the change on the table. In your collaborations, always remember that "credit" is not a conserved quantity. In a successful collaboration, everybody gets 90 percent of the credit.大学毕业典礼英文演讲稿【篇2】Answering speechDear professors and dear friends of China Jiliang University,I’m honored to address you on behalf of all the graduations this year.I would like to thank my parents, classmates, and friends who helped us ,and encouraged and supported us as we worked towards to our graduate degrees.I also want to thank Jiliang’s faculty members who served as our instructors, mentor, and friends, relatives, like Prof.Yu, Prof.Gao, Mrs. Liang. Through their commitments, they have inspired us to achieve and guided us to our dream. On this stage, at my graduation ceremony, when I look back my four years at Jiliang, my mind is filled with memories. May be you will ask me: do you have special to share? Yes, I want to share few simple but critical suggestions with you and with for the coming juniors: First, be work hard and think smart.Secondly, believe things happened for a reason.Thirdly, just as Jobs said at the graduation ceremony in Stanford University, stay hungry, stay foolish.Today, we will graduate from China Jiliang University, but we will be with Jiliang forever. Let us think forward and work together to make the new history of China Jiliang University.Thank you.大学毕业典礼英文演讲稿【篇3】When I was in middle school, a poisonous spider bit my right hand.I ran to my mom for help—but instead of taking me to a doctor, my mom set my hand on fire. After wrapping my hand withseveral layers of cotton, then soaking it in wine, she put a chopstick into my mouth, and ignited the cotton. Heat quickly penetrated the cotton and began to roast my hand. The searing pain made me want to scream, but the chopstick prevented it. All I could do was watch my hand burn - one minute, then two minutes –until mom put out the fire. You see, the part of China I grew up in was a rural village, and at that time pre-industrial. When I was born, my village had no cars, no telephones, no electricity, not even running water. And we certainly didn’t have access to modern medical resources. There was no doctor my mother could bring me to see about my spider bite. For those who study biology, you may have grasped the science behind my mom’s cure: heat deactivates proteins, and a spider’s venom is simply a form of protein. It’s coolhow that folk remedy actually incorporates basic biochemistry, isn’t itBut I am a PhD student in biochemistry at Harvard, I now know that better, less painful and less risky treatments existed. So I can’t help but ask myself, why I didn’t receive oneat the time.Fifteen years have passed since that incident. I am happy to report that my hand is fine. But this question lingers, and I continue to be troubled by the unequal distribution of scientific knowledge throughout the world. We have learned to edit the human genome and unlock many secrets of how cancer progresses. We can manipulate neuronal activity literally with the switch of a light. Each year brings more advances in biomedical research-exciting, transformative accomplishments. Yet, despite the knowledge we have amassed, we haven’t been so successful in deploying it to where it’s needed most. According to the World Bank, twelve percent of the world’s population lives on less than $2 a day. Malnutrition kills more than 3 million children annually. Three hundred million peopleare afflicted by malaria globally. All over the world, we constantly see these problems of poverty, illness, and lack of resources impeding the flow of scientific information. Lifesaving knowledge we take for granted in the modern world is often unavailable in these underdeveloped regions. And infar too many places, people are still essentially trying to cure a spider bite with fire. While studying at Harvard, I saw how scientific knowledge can help others in simple, yet profound ways. The bird flu pandemic in the 2000s looked to my village like a spell cast by demons. Our folk medicine didn’t even have half-measures to offer. What’s more, farmers didn’t know the difference between common cold and flu; they didn’t understand that the flu was much more lethal than the common cold. Most people were also unaware that the virus could transmit across different species. So when I realized that simple hygiene practices like separating different animal species could contain the spread of the disease, and that I could help make this knowledge available to my village, that was my first ―Aha‖moment as a budding scientist. But it was more than that: it was also a vital inflection point in my own ethical development, my ownself-understanding as a member of the global community.Harvard dares us to dream big, to aspire to change the world. Here on this Commencement Day, we are probably thinking of grand destinations and big adventures that await us. As for me, I am also thinking of the farmers in my village. My experiencehere reminds me how important it is for researchersto communicateour knowledge to those who need it. Because by using the sciencewe already have, wecould probably bring my village and thousands like it into the world you and I take for granted every day. And that’s an impact every one of us can make! But the question is, will we make the effort or notMore than ever before, our society emphasizes science and innovation. But an equally important emphasis should be on distributing the knowledge we have to where it’s needed. Changing the world doesn’t mean thateveryone has to find the next big thing. It can be as simple as becoming better communicators, and finding more creative ways to pass on the knowledge we have to people like my mom and the farmers in their local community. Our society also needs to recognize that the equal distribution of knowledge is a pivotal step of human development, and work to bring this into reality. And if we do that, then perhaps a teenager in rural China who is bitten by a spider will not have to burn his hand, but will know to seek a doctor instead.大学毕业典礼英文演讲稿【篇4】Honorable teachers, principles, dear parents and students:Good morning to you all. They can think themselves into other people’s minds, imagine themselves into other people’s places.Of course, this is a power, like my brand of fictional magic, that is morally neutral. One might use such an ability to manipulate, or control, just as much as to understand or sympathise. And many prefer not to exercise their imaginations at all. They choose to remain comfortably within the bounds of their own experience, never troubling to wonder how it would feel to have been born other than they are. They can refuse to hear screams or to peer inside cages; they can close their minds and hearts to any suffering that does not touch them personally; they can refuse to know.I might be tempted to envy people who can live that way, except that I do not think they have any fewer nightmares than I do. Choosing to live in narrow spaces can lead to a form of mental agoraphobia, and that brings its own terrors. I think the wilfully unimaginative see more monsters. They are often more afraid. What is more, those who choose not to empathize may enable real monsters. For without ever committing an act of outright evil ourselves, we collude with it, through our own apathy. One of the many things I learned at the end of that Classics corridor down which I ventured at the age of 18, in search of something I could not then define, was this, written by the Greek author Plutarch: What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality. That is an astonishing statement and yet proven a thousand times every day of our lives. If you choose to use your status and influence to raise your voice on behalf of those who have no voice; if you choose to identify not only with the powerful, but with the powerless; if you retain the ability to imagine yourself into the lives of those who do not have your advantages, then it will not only be your proud families who celebrate your existence, but thousands and millions of people whose reality you have helped transform for the better. We do not need magic to change the world, wecarry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.I am nearly finished. I have one last hope for you, which is something that I already had at 21. The friends with whom I sat on graduation day have been my friends for life. They are my children’s godparents, the people to whom I’ve been able to turn in times of trouble, friends who have been kind enough not to sue me when I’ve used their names for Death Eaters. At our graduation we were bound by enormous affection, by our shared experience of a time that could never come again, and, of course, by the knowledge that we held certain photographic evidence that would be exceptionally valuable if any of us ran for Prime Minister. So today, I can wish you nothing better than similar friendships. And tomorrow, I hope that even if you remember not a single word of mine, you remember those of Seneca, another of those old Romans I met when I fled down the Classics corridor, in retreat from career ladders, in search of ancient wisdom:。

应届毕业典礼英语演讲稿(通用4篇)应届毕业典礼英语篇1Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I'm Eden, I'm 9 years y, I'm going to tell you about my first special memory. It wasunforgettable, because it was my first flying on a plane. When I got on the huge, white thing with two big ‘fans’, I was so scared. I was thinking what if the big thing couldn’t balance itself? What if in the middle of the trip, the airplane ran out of oil? What if the airplane crashed onto the ground when it landed? I was scared that I would falldown and smash into pieces!Just then, the plane started to take off, and my ear started tohurt as , I closed my eyes for a long long time. What a surprise! WhenI woke up, I didn't smash into pieces, and neither did I have an ear , I looked outside the window. How amazing it was!The sun was orange, and all the cloud turning into golden color, just like the toasted marshmallows and chicken. I could still rememberthat they looked very tasty and inviting! Furthermore, there were the golden lions, dancing bears, and more, just like the cloud zoo! I couldn’t take my eyes offthose impressive views, but it was time to land.Never would I forget my first amazing flight, my first specialmemory! From then on, I was not afraid of flight any more, instead, I enjoyedhaving the trip in the sky. do you want him?" they said: "of course." my biological mother later found out that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school. she refused to sign the final adoption papers. she only relented a few months later when my parents promised that i would someday go to college.and 17 years later i did go to college. but i naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as stanford, and all of my working-class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition. after six months, i couldn't see the value in it. i had no idea what i wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out. and here i was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life. so i decided to drop out and trust that it would all work out ok. it was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions i ever made. the minute i dropped out i could stop taking the required classes that didn't interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked interesting.it wasn't all romantic. i didn't have a dorm room, so i slept on the floor in friends' rooms, i returned coke bottles for the 5 deposits to buy food with, and i would walk the 7 miles across town every sunday night to get one good meal a week at the hare krishna temple. i loved it. and much of what i stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on. let me give you one example: reed college at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country. throughout the campus every poster, every label on every drawer, was beautifully hand calligraphed. because i had dropped outand didn't have to take the normal classes, i decided to take a calligraphy class to learn how to do this. i learned about serif and san serif typefaces, about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes great typography great. it was beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science can't capture, and i found it fascinating.none of this had even a hope of any practical application in my life. but ten years later, when we were designing the first macintosh computer, it all came back to me. and we designed it all into the mac. it was the first computer with beautiful typography. if i had never dropped in on that single course in college, the mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts. and since windows just copied the mac, its likely that no personal computer would have them. if i had never dropped out, i would have never dropped in on this calligraphy class, and personal computers might not have the wonderful typography that they do. of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when i was in college. but it was very, very clear looking backwards ten years later.again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. you have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. this approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.my second story is about love and loss.i was lucky – i found what i loved to do early in life. woz and i started apple in my parents garage when i was 20. we worked hard, and in 10 years apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a $2 billion company with over 4000 employees.we had just released our finest creation - the macintosh - a year earlier, and i had just turned 30. and then i got fired. how can you get fired from a company you started?well, as apple grew we hired someone who i thought was very talented to run the company with me, and for the first year or so things went well. but then our visions of the future began to diverge and eventually we had a falling out. when we did, our board of directors sided with him. so at 30 i was out. and very publicly out. what had been the focus of my entire adult life was gone, and it was devastating.i really didn't know what to do for a few months. i felt that i had let the previous generation of entrepreneurs down - that i had dropped the baton as it was being passed to me. i met with david packard and bob noyce and tried to apologize for screwing up so badly. i was a very public failure, and i even thought about running away from the valley. but something slowly began to dawn on me – i still loved what i did. the turn of events at apple had not changed that one bit. i had been rejected, but i was still in love. and so i decided to start over.i didn't see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. the heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. it freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.during the next five years, i started a company named next, another company named pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who would become my wife.pixar went on to create the worlds first computer animated feature film, toy story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world. in a remarkable turn of events, apple boughtnext, i retuned to apple, and the technology we developed at next is at the heart of apple's current renaissance. and laurene and i have a wonderful family together.i'm pretty sure none of this would have happened if i hadn't been fired from apple. it was awful tasting medicine, but i guess the patient needed it.sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. don't lose faith. i'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that i loved what i did.you've got to find what you love. and that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. and the only way to do great work is to love what you do. if you haven't found it yet, keep looking. don't settle. as with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. and, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. so keep looking until you find it. don't settle.my third story is about death.when i was 17, i read a quote that went something like: "if you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." it made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, i have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "if today were the last day of。

I have one last hope for you, which is something that I already had at 21. The friends with whom I sat on graduation day have been my friends for life. They are my children’s godparents, the people to whom I’ve been able to turn in times of trouble, friends who have been kind enough notto sue me when I’ve used their names for Death Eaters. At our graduation we were bound by enormous affection, by our shared experience of a time that could never come again, and, of course, by the knowledge that we held certain photographic evidence that would be exceptionally valuable if any of us ran for Prime Minister. So today, I can wish you nothing better than similar friendships. And tomorrow, I hope that even if you remember not a single word of mine, you remember those of Seneca, another of those old Romans I met when I fled down the Classics corridor, in retreat from career ladders, in search of ancient wisdom:毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿3You must believe in yourself and in your work. When our first Batman movie broke all those box-office records, I received a phone call from that United Artists exec who, years before, had told me I was out of my mind. Now he said, “Michael, Im just calling to congratulate you on the success of Batman. I always said you were a visionary.” You see the poin t here —dont believe them when they tell you how bad you are or how terrible your ideas are, but also, dont believe them when they tell you how wonderful you are and how great your ideas are. Just believe in yourself and youll do just fine. And, oh yes, dont then forget to market yourself and your ideas. Use both sides of your brain. You must have a high threshold for frustration. Take it from the guy who was turned down by every studio in Hollywood. You must knock on doors until your knuckles bleed. Doors will slam in your face. You must pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and knock again. Its the only way to achieve your goals in life.毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿4Sheryl Sandberg told a graduating class of TsinghuaUniversity that great leaders want genuine enthusiasm, something she said her late husband, Dave Goldberg, always had.雪莉·桑德伯格鼓励清华大学毕业学子说,伟大的领袖需要“真正的激情”,而这一点她和她已故先生戴夫·哥德伯格(Dave Goldberg)一直怀有。

That period of my life was a dark one, and I had no idea that there was going to be what the press has since represented as a kind of fairy tale resolution. I had no idea then how far the tunnel extended, and for a long time, any light at the end of it was a hope rather than a reality. So why do I talk about the benefits of failure? Simply because failure meant a stripping away of the inessential. I stopped pretending to myself that I was anything other than what I was, and began to direct all my energy into finishing the only work that mattered to me. Had I really succeeded at anything else, I might never have found the determination to succeed in the one arena I believed I truly belonged. I was set free, because my greatest fear had been realised, and I was still alive, and I still had a daughter whom I adored, and I had an old typewriter and a big idea. And so rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.。

应届毕业典礼五分钟独特英语演讲稿范文五篇1I have a dream today.I have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams. However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future.Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it.Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.应届毕业典礼五分钟独特英语演讲稿范文五篇2Kipling said: “East is east, and west is west, and never the twain shall meet!” But now, a century later, they have met. They have met in business. They have met in education. They have met in the arts. Some people will argue that these meetings will leave us with a choice between east and west, but I believe that the best future lies in the creative combination of both worlds. We can make western ideas, customs and technology our own, and adapt them to our own use. We can enjoy the best of both worlds, because our tradition is, above all, one of selecting the best and making it our own. I love Beijing and Hennan opera because it always reminds me of who I am. But I am also a fan of pop music, especially English songs. So I have combined eastern melody with western language. It is called western henna opera. When two cultures meet, there may be things in one culture, which do not fit into the tradition of the other. When this happens, we need to learn to understand and respect the customs of another culture. Then there are certain things some people may not like. T o this, I will say, if you do not like it, please try to tolerate it. To learn to tolerat e what you personally don’t like is a great virtue at a time when different cultures mix and merge. Before us, there are two rivers, eastern and western cultures. At present, they may run in different courses. But eventually, they willconverge into the vast sea of human culture.Right now, I can see peoples of eastern and western cultures, standing side by side, singing the Olympic theme song: we are hand in hand, heart to heart, together we will shape a beautiful tomorrow! Thank you!应届毕业典礼五分钟独特英语演讲稿范文五篇3Medusa is just one of many Greek myths that have encouraged me to fantasize, turning me into the creative girl I am today. The myth talks about Poseidon, god of the sea, kissing Medusa in Athena’s temple. Athena was furious. I can picture Athena’s punishm ent for Medusa as if it were happening before my very eyes. The transformation from beauty to beast is as vivid and clear to me as is the light of day. The utter dread and bewilderment on Medusa’s face as she changed is unforgettable and so eerie it chills me to the bone even still.I am Medusa, scariest of all.My prey turn to stone while I stand tall. One kiss with Poseidon, god of the sea.Turned me to a monster no one dares to see.Greek myths have introduced me to a brand new world where imagination is boundless.应届毕业典礼五分钟独特英语演讲稿范文五篇4I love drama performance very much; it makes me active to try something different. As a member of drama club, I played different roles in different dramas, such as a doctor, a team leader and some animals. I really enjoyed those different experiences by understanding their inner world and imitating their voices and behaviors.Gradually I became more and more active to trydifferent things. So…I chose a bad wolf as my next role which is quite different from previous ones. It looks like this: (Knock, knock)" Come in please.” ”Grandma, what big eyes you have?” ” All the better to see you with.” ”But, what a large mouth you have?” ” All the better to eat you with! Haw-haw…”Hope you like it, thank you!应届毕业典礼五分钟独特英语演讲稿范文五篇5Who was the most well-known figure in China last month? It’s Ma Jia Jue—the college student who murdered 4 of his roommates. Many people attributed his crime to his poverty and deficient education. In my opinion, his crime also has much to do with his classmate s’ indifference.Indifference is a terrible disease in today’s colleges and the whole society. It’s not rare that two students who have studied together for 4 years have never spoken to each other. It’s not rare that a student who has been absent from class for several days is not noticed at all. It’s also not rare that a student who has severe psychological problems is not cared about at all. Some people may say ‘What the students with psychological problems like Ma JiaJue need is not care but psychotherap y.” However, when people are ill, what they need most is not only medical treatment, but also care from people around them. Every smile and every caring word will bring sunshine to their life.I once heard one of my roommates who was an introverted girl sobbing at mid-night. Being afraid of disturbing her, I sent a text message to comfort her. The next day, she told me that she was crying for not being invited to one of her friend’s birthday party. She thought she was neglected by others. But my messagewas really comforting which told her someone still cared about her. What can we do to prevent the tragedy of Ma JiaJue from happening again? Some people may say ‘Let’s open more psychological courses in schools.’ and other people may say ‘Let’s donate more money for the poor students.’ But I’ll say “My fellow student, let’s give more love and care to our roommates, our classmates and every person around us!”。

One of the legacies of re ___iving a world-class education is the sobering awareness of the inadequacy of our knowledge. Some years ago, one of the people I admire and respect most architect is Renzo Piano just turned 70 and I asked him what felt like. He said that, as much as he had thought about and prepared for that moment, it still came as a shock. Now I can attest to that feeling of shock but more than anything he said it ___de him feel that our proper lifespan should be 210 years, 70 to learn, 70 to do, and 70 to teach the next generation. This lovely description captures an elementary fact of life: a good life has the feeling that we’re learning more and more as we go. And that we could do even better if we just learned a bit more. I hope that you are fortunate enough to carry that spirit of life with you and we must hope together that it continues to define this nation andthe world. In the ___nturies ahead, on behalf of Columbia University, I extend to all our graduates the ___ntennial class of 20xx warmest congratulations.Thank you!President Faust, members of the Harvard Corporation and the Board of Overseers, members of the faculty, proud parents, and, above all, graduates. The first thing I would like to say is ‘thank you.’ Not only has Harvard given me an extraordinary honour, but the weeks of fear and nausea I have endured at the thought of giving this men ___ment address have ___de me lose weight.A win-win situation! Now all I have to do is take deep breaths, squint at the red banners and convin ___ myself that I am at the world’s largest Gryffindor reunion.Delivering a men ___ment address is a great responsibility; or so I thought until I cast my mind back to my own graduation. The men ___ment speaker that day was the distinguished British philosopher Baroness Mary Warnock. Reflecting on her speech has helped me enormously in writing this one, because it turns out that I can’tremember a single word she said. This liberating discovery enables me to pro ___ed without any fear that I might inadvertently influen ___ you to abandon promising careers in business, the law or politics for the giddy delights of being a gay wizard. You see? If all you remember in years to e is the ‘gay wizard’ joke, I’ve e out ahead of Baroness Mary Warnock. Achievable goals: the first step to self improvement.Actually, I have wracked my mind and heart for what I ought to say to you today. I have asked myself what I wish I had known at my own graduation, and what important lessons I have learned in the 21 years that have expired between that day and this.I have e up with two answers. On this wonderful day when we are gathered together to ___lebrate your academic suess, I have decided to talk to you about the benefits of failure. And as you stand on the threshold of what is sometimes called ‘real life’, I want to extol the crucial importan ___ of i ___gination.These ___y seem quixotic or paradoxical choi ___s, but please bear with me.Looking back at the 21-year-old that I was at graduation, is a slightly unfortable experien ___ for the 42-year-old that she has bee. Half my lifetime ago, I was striking an uneasy balan ___ between the ambition I had for myself, and what those closest to me expected of me.I was convin ___d that the only thing I wanted to do, ever, was to write novels. However, my parents, both of whom came from impoverished backgrounds and neither of whom had been to college, took the view that my overactive i___gination was an amusing personal quirk that would never pay a mortgage, or secure a pension. I know that the irony strikes with the for ___ of a cartoon anvil, now.So they hoped that I would take a vocational degree; I wanted to study English Literature. A promise was reached that in retrospect satisfied nobody, and I went up to study Modern Languages. Hardly had my parents’ car rounded thecorner at the end of the road than I ditched Ger ___n and scuttled off down the Classics corridor.I cannot remember ___ing my parents that I was studying Classics; they might well have found out for the first time on graduation day. Of all the subjects on this pla, I think they would have been hard put to name one less useful than Greek mythology when it came to securing the keys to an executive bathroom.I would like to ___ke it clear, in parenthesis, that I do not blame my parents for their point of view. There is an expiry date on blaming your parents for steering you in the wrong direction; the moment you are old enough to take the wheel, responsibility lies with you. What is more, I cannot criticise my parents for hoping that I would never experien ___ poverty. They had been poor themselves, and I have sin ___ been poor, and I quite agree with them that it is not an ennobling experien ___. Poverty entails fear, and stress, and sometimes depression; it means a thousand petty humiliations and hardships. Climbing out of poverty by your own efforts, that is indeed something on which to prideyourself, but poverty itself is ro ___nticised only by fools. What I feared most for myself at your age was not poverty, but failure. At your age, in spite of a distinct lack of motivation at university, where I had spent far too long in the coffee bar writing stories, and far too little time at lectures, I had a knack for passing examinations, and that, for years, had been the measure of suess in my life and that of my peers.I am not dull enough to suppose that because you are young, gifted and well-educated, you have never known hardship or heartbreak. Talent and in ___igen ___ never yet inoculated anyone against the capri ___ of the Fates, and I do not for a moment suppose that everyone here has enjoyed an existen ___ of unruffled privilege and contentment. However, the fact that you are graduating from Harvard suggests that you are not very well-acquainted withfailure. You might be driven by a fear of failure quite as much as a desire for suess. Indeed, your con ___ption of failure might not be too far from the average person’s idea of suess, so high have you already flown.Ulti ___tely, we all have to decide for ourselves what constitutes failure, but the world is quite eager to give you a set of criteria if you let it. So I think it fair to say that by any conventional measure, a mere seven years after my graduation day, I had failed on an epic scale. An ex ___ptionally short-lived ___rriage had imploded, and I was jobless, a lone parent, and as poor as it is possible to be in modern Britain, without being homeless. The fears that my parents had had for me, and that I had had for myself, had both e to pass, and by every usual standard, I was the biggest failure I knew.模板,内容仅供参考。
