1. hundreds of意为“数以百计的”，用来表示一个不具体的数量或一个夸张的说法，此时hundred

后要加s，且后面还要加介词of。类似的短语还有dozens of，scores of，hundreds of，thousands of，millions of。

eg ▲There are hundreds of students on the playground.

操场上有数百个学生。

▲Millions of young people are now studying at the colleges.

成百万的年轻人目前正在大学读书。

▲I have been there dozens of times.

我已经到那儿去过几十次了。

2. hundred意思是“百、百个(人或物)”。当它和具体的数词连用时，hundred不能用复数形式，也不

能在其后加of。类似的词还有dozen，score，thousand，million 等。

▲There are about two thousand students at the meeting.
