Work in groups to discuss the following questions:

a. What can he do to deal with the trouble?

b. Why should he do like this?

D. Writing

a. Based on what you have discussed, you can write a letter to give Xiao Dong some advice.

b. First, you can choose three of the ideas and put them into an order; then, write down your advice and give your reasons; finally, each advice makes one paragraph.

E. Conclusion

a. “A life without a friend is a life without the sun.”

b. You should realize the importance of friendship and write a letter like this to give them advice when they are in trouble.

F. Homework

a. Refine your letter and rewrite it on your notebook.
