由于每日说三分钟英语已形成惯例，不少学生为了使自己的对话和造句内容更加丰富，并能在课堂上一显身手，他们常常在课间进行讨论，甚至上学、放学的路上也能听见他们三五成群地用英语会话。
这样一来，学生不仅提高了学习英语的兴趣，更重要的是树立了学好英语的信心，形成了良好的学习习惯和学习环境，为今后进入中学进一步学好英语打下了良好的基础，并且能够用英语的思维思考问题。
3.2 练习竞赛法在进行每日三分钟说英语活动时,我们可以组织各种形式和内容的英语活动.学生可以用英语练习看图说话、讲故事、复述、描述物体、分角色朗读、讨论、辩论和情景对话,以这种形式来提高学生愿意开口多说多练英语.具体做法如下:在教学中课文复述比赛、课文朗读比赛等多种多样的竞赛。
课堂上适当的竞赛,学生乐于参与,乐于争先,乐于学习,这样最大限度地将学生潜意识和显意识协调起来,鼓励学生去发现问题、思考问题、解决问题,积极理解运用知识,鼓励发挥,更鼓励创造,这既促进了师生间的互动,又充分调动了全体学生的学习兴趣。
更重要的是学生能够开口说英语,达到每日三分钟说英语的要求。
3.3 游戏趣味法此外，还可以利用游戏增加英语口语的趣味性，鼓励学生开口说话；其次，组织学生表演自编短剧,调动学生学习英语的积极性,培养学生的创造思维能力。
学习要学以致用,而英语的学习更是如此。
要让学生学了英语后会开口说英语。
可以花三分钟左右的时间让学生到讲台前表演他们自编的课本剧。
具体做法如下:上课前,小组表演他们课前已编排好的短剧,剧情可依照上一节课的课文的情景,也可自己创设情景,但是台词必须运用已学过的句型和单词。
