Background Information
1.Scandinavia
Scandinavia is a historical and geographical region centered on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe which includes the kingdoms of Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The other Nordic countries, Finland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands, are sometimes included because of their close historic and cultural connections to Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
2.Appalachian Trail
The Appalachian National Scenic Trail, generally known as the A.T., is a 2,174 mile (3478 km) marked hiking and camping trail in the eastern United States, extending between Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine. Along the way, the trail also passes through the states of North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire.

The Barents Sea is a part of the Arctic Ocean located north of Norway and Russia.
