The writer puts forwardthree reasons, which are opposed by the following lecture.First, the writer claims that the collapse of empire is cause by rebellion of conquered cities. While the speaker views this issue from an opposite angle, according to him/her, Conquered cities have little chance to rebel, for their walls have been destroyed by empire army. They are easily defeated again.Secondly, the passage states that bad weather results in shortage of food supply. However, the speaker casts doubt on this opinion by saying that Indeed, bad weather will lead to the reduction of food supply, but farmers in empire have advanced irrigation technology, which can bring water fromlong distance. What’s more, farmers will preserve grains.Last, the writer argues that unfair trade leads to discontent of other countries. They united to fight againstthe Empire. By contrast, in accordance with the speaker, this claim does not hold water. Empire has been looking for new partners.

Task 1Which would you recommend to build for a university to enhance its students’ living and studying condition?CafeteriaSwimming poolExpand the scale of laboratories on campus.Sample response:A:From where I stand, I think the university should build a cafeteria with a lot features to attract more to come to rest. Firstly, cafeterias on campus are places for students to rest legs and study most of the time. Students sit together in a circle having sandwiches while talking about the assignments and experiments, in which the atmosphere would be quite harmonious. As a result, a cafeteria will give students one more place to stay during the break of two classes either on the daytime or at night.B:In my own perspective, I would more likely to suggest building several swimming pools. There are several reasons I would like to mention.Firstly, The truth is that students nowadays are allunder extreme stress and yearn for ways to distress. Again, swimming pool is a perfect place for students to relax themselves after school or on holidays. The second reason is that it is always fun to play with friends at the pool. I still remember the game between my mates.C:In my own opinion, I think it is crucial for a school to strengthen its fundamental constructions like laboratories, recreation centers and stadiums. Also, it is so right to expand the scale of laboratories or upgrade its facilities. As a result, students can do experiments in appropriately equipped labs. On the other hand, school will at the same time be up-to-date.3月13日托福口语TASK 2Which one of the two patterns would help people to know each other better, meeting at the first sight or through long-term relationship?Sample response:I personally think people will get to know each other better through long-term relationship. There are several reasons I would like to mention.Firstly, it seems impossible for us to know a person at the first time. There are so many uncertainties left to discover. Take personality for example, people would naturally behave themselves or becoming stressed at the very first time of meeting.Secondly, if two individuals cannot build a bond between them, they wouldn’t give or show the true self to e ach other. Then they will not understand each other.3月13日托福口语TASK 3Reading:学校要取消东校区的餐厅1.

最后有题目,应该选择antibody is difficult to deal with the cold --例子有三个,其中一个是cowpox牛痘用来防止天花smallpox, 以及这两种方法各自对应那两种病毒。

If you're not careful, you can leave yourself open to stalkers, cyberbullying and other forms of harassment, as unwelcome individuals make contact with you through the site.Second, networking online can be addictive. If you allow it, social networking sites can completely consume your life. New friends requesting to be added, post updates, polls, games and links to countless different websites can turn a pleasant diversion into a significant expenditure of time. If left unchecked, this can create problems as “real”relationships suffer for the sake of virtual ones.

4、★★★★
Reading:

The theories that was used to explain the decrease of brain size.
The first theory is the climate change. The temperature is colder, so the human body becomes smaller, and the brain size decrease
2) The second theory is the agriculture. People ate grain in the past which has less protein and vitamin, but the increase of brain size needs protein and vitamin, so the brain is small.
3) The third theory is the decrease of muscle mass. The part of the brain that control muscle activities are smaller.。
