Unit 7 The Sea Ⅰ. 单元教学目标II.目标语言III. 教材分析与教材重组1.教材分析本单元的话题是“The Sea”, 单元总共分为8个小模块,模块的序列为:导入单元话题→阅读(语法)→听力(技能)→阅读(语法)→阅读(技能)→表达(写作和口头表达)→文化交流→研究性学习。

整个单元的结构和序列遵循了语言知识输入→知识积累→语言输出的编排程序,单元的整体性和结构性结合得很好。

模块之间的衔接设计也很有特色,The Spirit of Explorers和The Sea World 侧重培养学生的语言知识,Protecting the Sea和Sea Stories两个模块分别以听力和阅读为载体,侧重培养学生的技能。

本文以北师大版第三模块第八单元sea stories一课为例,探讨了“五要素分析法”在记叙文语篇中的应用,该方法同样也适用于英语短篇小说的研读。

故事为学生提供了大量记叙文阅读体验,学生对于如何绘制“五要素”思维导图及“情节发展图”较为熟悉。

因此经过阅读及关注语篇文体,确定该文本为记叙文之后,学生可利用已知的知识结构对记叙文的“五要素”进行分析。

另外,该单元主题为“人与海洋”,经过前两课对于 “海洋探索”的讨论,学生已经掌握了很多关于海洋的相关词汇,并在之前的学习中就航海家事迹等话题进行过深刻讨论和研读,需要对于人与海洋的关系进行进一步的挖掘和延伸。

综上所述,学生在该课的学习中,需将已有的基于该主题的经验调动起来,在新的语篇环境下,建构和完善新的知识结构,深化对于人与海洋关系主题的理解和认识。

三、教学活动设计与实践1.整体教学思路。

本课sea stories是海洋主题语境下的一篇记叙文语篇类型,该单元主题语境为“人与自然”,主题群为“自然生态”,内容要求为“人与环境”。

在该主题意义的引领下,笔者通过深入研读文本,立足于语篇,引导学生关注记叙文的文体类型,掌握记叙文的语篇结构类型,如该类语篇的必要组成部分——“记叙文五要素”(character, setting, plot, conflict, theme)。

通过梳理并整合事实性信息,以合作学习及探究学习为方式,绘制五要素思维导图及情节图(见图1,图2),深度挖掘该文本的人物性格、情节安排、戏剧冲突及主题意义,并从文本当中需找细节和信息支撑自己的观点,实现深度学习。
