Particle size distribution and X-ray diffraction (XRD) results
The experiment design
• To evaluate the effects of untreated sugarcane bagasse ash (UtSCBA) and untreated fly ash (UtFA) compressive strength (CS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM),ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV), electrical resistivity (ER) and the rapid chloride permeability (RCPT) tests are carried out.

Scanning electron microscopy
• A micrograph for the OPC (Fig. 2a) shows angular and irregularly shaped particles.
• Fig. 1c shows the UtSCBA is a material with low crystallinity. • Fig. 1d shows the UtFA used in this research is mainly made up of Quartz
(SiO2) and Mullite (Al2Si7O4.85).

• Fig. 1a shows the average particle size for the OPC, UtSCBA and UtFA were21.15, 53.91 and 60.77 lm.
• Fig. 1b shows X-ray diffraction diagrams for the OPC.,C2S and C3S.are observed. Also C3A, C4AF, and gypsum are observed but with less intensity.
