辽宁高校联盟英语学位考试真题及答案全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1The Super Tough Liaoning University English TestHey there, friends! Today I'm going to tell you all about this crazy hard English test that some university students have to take. It's called the Liaoning University English Proficiency Exam. Just saying that name makes my tongue get all twisted up!I heard about this test from my cousin Jing who just started university last year. She had to take this big important exam to test how good her English skills are. Can you imagine having to take an exam like that? No thank you!Jing studied soooo hard for months leading up to the test day. She read lots of English books, watched English movies and shows, and practiced speaking English with her friends. I tried to help her study too by quizzing her on vocabulary words. There were so many big weird words that I had never heard before! Finally, test day arrived and Jing was really nervous. The test had four main sections - listening, reading, writing, and speaking. For the listening part, Jing had to listen to recordings of people talking in English and answer questions about what they said. In the reading section, she read some long passages and had to answer comprehension questions. Writing was next - she had to write an essay in English on an assigned topic in a certain amount of time. Lastly, speaking involved having a conversation with a tester and answering their questions. Phew, that's a lot of English skills to get tested on in one day! After it was all over, Jing said some parts were pretty easy for her, but other parts were crazy difficult. She felt really relieved when she got her results back a few weeks later and found out she passed! I was so proud of her for working that hard.Jing showed me some sample questions from past exams so I could get an idea of how tough it is. There were things like:Listening comprehension questions like:"What did the speaker say is the main reason for the increase in tourism?"Reading passages and questions like:"According to the passage, which of the following statements about renewable energy is true?"Essay prompts like:"Some people believe social media has had a negative impact on interpersonal communication. Write an essay arguing for or against this view."Speaking tasks like:"Your friend wants to take a job in another country. What factors should he/she consider before making this decision?"Just reading those example questions made my head spin! I'm really glad I don't have to take a big test like that anytime soon. Jing said the test was worth all the hard work though, because scoring well on it can help students get better jobs after graduating. She's just happy it's over and done with.If you ever have to take the Liaoning University English Proficiency Exam, you better study real hard! From what I saw, it's no joke. Those university kids sure are brave to take on such a challenge. I'll stick to the simple English tests I get in elementary school for now. Phew!篇2The Big Important English TestHi friends! Today I'm going to tell you all about the super duper important English test that some big kids have to take. It'scalled the Liaoning College Alliance English Degree Exam. That's a really long name, isn't it? I'll just call it the Big Test for short. The Big Test is for kids who want to get a degree in English from a university in Liaoning Province. Liaoning is one of the provinces here in China. It's up in the northeast part of the country. The kids who take the Big Test are older than me, maybe in middle school or high school. There are a lot of different parts to the Big Test. Let me tell you about some of them! One part tests how well you can read and understand English passages. The passages might be stories, articles, or other kinds of writings. Then there are questions about the passages that you have to answer.Another part of the Big Test checks your English listening skills. You listen to recordings of people talking or dialogues between people. Then you have to answer comprehension questions about what you heard. This helps show if you can really understand spoken English well. The writing section is a really important part too. You have to write one or two essays or other types of compositions in English. The test graders will look at your grammar, vocabulary, organization of ideas, and everything to see how good your English writing is.Whew, that's a lot of difficult stuff, huh? The Big Test covers basically all the skills you need to be an awesome English user - reading, writing, listening, grammar, and vocabulary. Only students who do really well on all those parts can pass.I'm just a little kid, so I definitely couldn't pass the Big Test right now. But I'm studying super hard so that one day when I'm older, I can take the test too! I practice my English reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills every day. Maybe you could start studying hard now too so we can take the Big Test together when we grow up!Okay, now let me give you some sample questions from past Big Tests so you can get an idea of what it's like. Here's a reading comprehension passage:Mary lives in a small village near the mountains. Every day, she walks two miles to the nearest town to attend school. She doesn't mind the long walk because she enjoys breathing the fresh air and looking at the beautiful scenery. When she arrives at school, Mary works very hard on all her subjects, especially English...And here's a sample question about that passage:Where does Mary live?A. A village far from the mountainsB. A small village close to the mountainsC. A big cityD. The nearest townThe right answer is B - Mary lives in a small village close to the mountains. See, you have to read carefully to get the right answer! Here's an example of a listening comprehension question you might hear:Man: Excuse me, can you tell me how to get to the park from here?Woman: Sure, it's pretty easy. Go straight for two blocks, then turn left. Walk three more blocks and you'll see the park entrance on your right.Man: Got it, thanks!Question: How does the woman instruct the man to get to the park? That one's a bit tricky because the instructions have a few steps. But if you listen closely, you can get it right. For the writing part, you might have to write a short essay about a topic like "My Favorite Book" or "What I Did on Summer Vacation." You'd have to write a few paragraphs with good grammar, spelling, and organization. Those are just a few examples, but I hope they give you an idea of what to expect on the Big Test. It's definitely not easy! You have to prepare really hard by practicing all your English skills a lot.Well, that's all I can tell you about the Liaoning College Alliance English Degree Exam for now. Let me know if you have any other questions! I'll do my best to explain it more. Study hard and maybe I'll see you at the Big Test one day! Goodbye friends!篇3Exam Time! The Super Hard English TestHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I just took a really tough English test called the Liaoning University Alliance English Degree Exam. Phew, I'm exhausted! It was sooo hard. But I'll tell you all about it.First, there was the listening section. We had to listen to recordings of people talking and answer questions about whatthey said. Some of the recordings were super fast and I could barely understand them! Like this one story about a girl who lost her puppy. I felt so bad for her, but I got mixed up on where she lost him - was it the篇4The Big Liaoning College TestHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 8 years old. I go to Sunshine Elementary School here in Shenyang. My older sister Meimei is in college, and she just took a really important English test called the Liaoning College English Proficiency Test. It's a huge deal and all the university students have to take it. She studied really hard for months!Meimei said the test had different sections like listening, reading, writing, and also translation between Chinese and English. She had to answer multiple choice questions, write essays, translate passages, and even have a spoken interview! It sounds super hard.I was really curious what kinds of questions were on the test, so I asked Meimei to show me some real questions from past exams. She said OK, but warned me that the questions would bepretty difficult since I'm still just a kid learning English basics. I told her I didn't mind - I just wanted to take a peek! The Listening SectionFirst up was the listening comprehension part. Meimei played an audio recording of a conversation between two university students. They were talking about signing up for elective courses for next semester. The questions asked things like:What class did the boy want to take? Why did the girl recommend a different course? How many credits was the recommended course?I had to listen really carefully to try and catch all the details they mentioned. The speakers talked pretty fast and used some vocab words I didn't know yet. But I could get the gist of it - the boy wanted one class but the girl suggested another. Listening is hard! The Reading SectionAfter listening, we looked at some reading comprehension questions. The passages were pretty long - way longer than the simple stories I read in class. One was about the history of theEnglish language and how it spread around the world. Another was discussing environmental protection policies. The questions asked specific details like:In what year was the first English dictionary published? What percentage of the world's rainforests have been destroyed?According to the passage, why is it important to conserve energy resources?Woah! I didn't know anything about English dictionaries or rainforest statistics. I tried my best to skim the passages and locate the key details, but a lot of the vocabulary was too advanced for me. I'll need to learn more words as I get older! The Writing SectionUp next was the writing part, which Meimei said was one of the hardest. There were two writing tasks:Write a short essay arguing for or against "Going to university is essential for success in life."Read a letter and write an appropriate reply. For the essay, you had to make a clear thesis statement, give solid reasoning and examples, and wrapit up with a good conclusion. The letter writing task required using proper email formatting and polite language.I'm still learning how to write simple paragraphs, so constructing a whole persuasive essay seems impossible for me now. But Meimei encouraged me to just practice writing complete sentences with clear opinions. The letter was more doable - I could probably manage a basic reply like:"Dear Sir/Madam,Thank you for your letter about..."The Translation SectionThe final part Meimei showed me was translation, alternating between English to Chinese and Chinese to English. One sample question was:英译汉Translate this sentence into Chinese:"The meeting has been rescheduled for next Thursday due to a scheduling conflict."汉译英Translate into English:"由于飞机晚点,我们不得不在机场多待了两个小时。

The two men went down seven miles to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean inside a small steel ball to find out if there are any ocean currents or signs of life.It was necessary to set out early, so that the ball would come to the surface in daylight, and so be easily found by the mother ship which would be waiting for it. The divers began preparations early in the morning and soon afterwards, when all was ready, the steel ball disappeared under the surface of the water. The divers felt as if they were going down steps as they passed through warm and cold layers of water. In time, the temperature dropped to freezing point. They kept in touch with the mother ship by telephone telling how they felt. Then, at a depth of 3, 000 feet, the telephone stopped working and they were quite cut off from the outside world. All went well until some four hours later at 30, 000 feet, the men were frightened by a loud, cracking noise: even the smallest hole in the ball would have meant instant death. Luckily, though, it was only one of the outer windows that had broken. Soon afterwards, the balltouched the soft ocean floor raising a big cloud of “dust”made up of small dead sea-creatures. Here, powerful lights lit up the dark water and the men were surprised to see fish swimming just above them quite untroubled by the great water-pressure. But they did not dare to leave the lights on for long, as the heat from them made the water boil. Quite unexpectedly, the telephone began working again and the faint but clear voices of the divers were heard on the mother ship seven miles away. After a stay of thirty minutes the men began their journey up arriving three hours later, cold and wet through, but none the worse for their experience.16.The purpose of the divers’ journey to the deepest point on the earth was to find __________.A.if there are water currents and life in the great depthsB.if people can stand the severe cold in the great depthsC.if there are steps in the great depthsD.if the telephone works well in the great depths17.The divers set out early in the morning so that __________.A.they could return to the surface during the dayB.they could see at the bottom of the oceanC.they could avoid the cold at nightD.they could stay long at the bottom18.Which of the statements is trueA.The ocean water temperature decreases steadily with the depth.B.There are steps on the way to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.C.There are steps between the water layers of different temperatures.D.The water layers of different temperatures made the diversfeel as if they were goingdown steps.19.As the divers went down to the ocean floor, the telephone __________.A.kept working all the timeB.stopped working at a depth of 3, 000 feet and began working again after they reachedthe bottomC.stopped working at a depth of 3, 000 feet and began working again at 30, 000 feetD.stopped working at a depth of 3, 000 feet and began working again when they returnedt the same depth20.On the ocean floor, the divers found that __________.A.there was no life but some small dead sea-creaturesB.fish were swimming as freely as they do near the surfaceC.fish were not swimming freely in the dark waterD.fish were not swimming freely under the high water-pressurePassage TwoThere are two kinds of memory: short-term and long-term. Information in long-term memory can be recalled at a later time when it is needed. The information may be kept for days or weeks. In contrast, information in short-term memory is kept for only a few seconds, usually by repeating the information over and over. The following experiment shows how short-term memory has been studied.Henning studied how students who are leaning English as a second language remember vocabulary. The subjects in his experiment were 75 college students. They represented all levelsof ability in English: beginning, intermediate, advanced, and native-speaking students. To begin, the subjects listened to a recording of a native speaker reading a paragraph in English. Following the recording, the subjects took a 15-question test to see which words they remembered. Each question had four choices. The subjects had to circle the word they had heard in the recording. Some of the questions had four choices that sound alike. For example, weather, whether, wither, and wetter are four words that sound a like. Some of the questions had four choices that have the same meaning. Method, way, manner, and system would be four words with the same meaning. Finally the subjects took a language proficiency test.Henning found that students with a lower proficiency in English made more of their mistakes on words that sound alike; students with a higher proficiency made more of their mistakes on words that have the sa me meaning. Henning’s results suggest that beginning students hold the sound of words in their short-term memory, and advanced students hold the meaning of words in their short-term memory.21.Henning made the experiment in order to study __________.A.how students remember English vocabulary by short-term memoryB.how students learn English vocabularyC.how to develop students’ ability in EnglishD.how long information in short-term memory is kept22.Which of the following statements is true according to the passage/doc/5b4aa24f9989680203d8ce2f0066f533 5b81672d.html rmation in short-term memory is different fromthat in long-term memory.B.Long-term memory can be achieved only by training.C.It is easier to test short-term memory than long-term memory.D.Henning gave a separate test on vocabulary to his subjects.23.From Henning’s results we can see that _________.A.beginners have difficulty distinguishing the pronunciation of wordsB.advanced students remember words by their meaningC.it is difficult to remember words that sound alikeD.it is difficult to remember words that have the same meaning24.The word “subject” in the passage means __________.A.the college course the students takeB.the theme of the listening materialC. a branch of knowledge studiedD.the student experimented on25.The passage centres on __________.A.memoryB.two kinds of memoryC.short-term memoryD.an experiment on studentsPassage ThreeEaster is probably the most important Christian holiday on the calendar becau se it commemorates Christ’s resurrection from the dead. Like many other religious holidays, though, Easter has incorporated many traditions from pagan beliefs and pre-Christian rites of seasonal regeneration. The word Easter has Indo-European roots and means “dawn”. This is a direct reference to the pagan goddess of dawnand new life. The egg, a symbol of Easter, is a sign of fertility which reflects ancient spring renewal rites and beliefs that have been absorbed into the Christian tradition. Even the Easter bunny who brings the eggs was the escort of the Germanic goddess Ostara, who had a holiday named after her that fell on the vernal equinox. This serves to underscore the pagan elements that still remain a part of this quintessential Christian holy day.In the United States, Easter is celebrated in several ways. On Easter morning children usually begin their day by looking for Easter eggs that the Easter bunny has hidden for them. Of course, most children know that the eggs were hidden by their parents, not the Easter bunny. In fact, many children help their parents color the Easter eggs, knowing that soon they will be eating them as a snack on Easter day. Some cities have Easter egg hunts at the local parks.Since Easter is always celebrated on Sunday, many people attend “Sunrise services” at their local church. In fact, more people go to church on Easter Sunday than at any other time of the year. Sunrise services begin very early in the morning, usually right about the same time as when the sun begins to rise, and last until almost noon. After church families gather and have a bigholiday feast.Easter also marks the coming of spring. People are usually happy that winter is over, so parks are usually full of people who want to get outside and enjoy the fresh air.26.Which of the following best defines EasterA.It is partially religious.B.It is a Christian holiday.C.It is purely a religious tradition.D.It is the most important Christian holiday.27.The Easter egg represents __________.A.springB.new lifeC.productivityD.Easter28.What is the main point of the third paragraphA.Children like eating eggs on Easter.B.Children help their parents on Easter.C.People participate in many activities on Easter.D. More than half of the 1000 holiday-makers interviewed said they had decided to send fewer cards, turning instead to their electronic rivals. A quarter of the respondents dismissed postcards as old-fashioned and slow to arrive. A further 14% admitted that thinking of something to fill the space was too challenging, compared with a call home. Although officially invented by a Hungarian, Emanuel Herrmann, 1869, the idea of illustrated cards was taken up with most enthusiasm in Victorian Britain, joining Gothic architecture and landscape gardening as fields in which the country excelled. “If the British postcard did become extinct we would lose for ever something of great importance to the nation,” said Chris Mottershead of Thomson Holiday, wh ich commissioned the poll Marie Angelou of Sussex University, who has investigated the importance of sending and receiving postcards, backed him. “Postcards are nothing like phone calls, instant texting and direct photo shots via mobile,” she said. “All these are useful, practical devices, but postcards offer something else, something additional that is not mundane and simply functional, but imaginative and personal. They can evoke the real atmosphere of our holiday in a way that nothing else can do. They’r e also for more than a moment –with some people adding them to collections built up over years and years.” Postcard-collecting, or deltiology, is third only to coins and stamps in Britain’s allied tradition of collecting things. The country’s uniquely pos tcard-related achievements include the invention in 1902 of the “divided back”. With the address taking up half of the writing area, brief postcard scribes became the precursor to today’s cryptic text messages.31.Based on the survey, the conclusion is that __________.A.holiday postcards were not popular among those interviewedB.half of the British are thinking of quitting postcardsC.holiday postcards may have a gloomy futureD. a quarter of the interviewed threw away their postcards32.Which of the following is not a reason why people refuse to send cardsA.Sending cards is not fashionable.B.Sending cards is slow.C.It is difficult to think of something to write on the cards.D.It’s difficult to find a suitable card to send.33.According to the text, the significance of postcard is that it is one of those that _________.A.were invented by foreignersB.postcard has a long historyC.were Britain’s own creationD.Britain used to be proud of34.According to Marie Angelou, _________.A.postcards are totally different from phone calls, instant texting, etc.B.postcards don’t function as well as phone calls, instant texting, etc.C.postcards function better than phone calls, instant texting and the likeD.there is more to postcards than its practical functions35.What is not a reason why some people support cardsA.They can evoke the atmosphere of holiday.B.They are convenient.C.They can be collected.D.They are imaginative and personal.Part III Vocabulary and Structure (20 points)Directions: There are 40 incomplete sentences in this part. A full quarter may be earned if a student enrolls for all of the summer sessions. In the three 11-week term, classes for five quarter hours of credit meet four full hours per week, and laboratory courses meet five full hours per week. Classes meet on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays for one hour total time scheduled for laboratories. Courses for less than five-quarter hours meet for fewer hours per week.Scheduled physical education activities and fine arts participation activities meet for one hour twice weekly or the equivalent time once a week.In order not to interfere with class schedules at other times, Wednesdays are used for off-campus field trips, education participation assignments in public schools, off-campus physical education activities, faculty meetings, committee and council meeting and other special activities.31. The word rubbish could lose its meaning because everything which goes into the dumps would be made into something useful. Even the most dangerous and unpleasant waste would provide energy if nothing else. The latest project is to take a city of around half a million inhabitants and discover exactly what raw materials go into it and what go out. The aim is to find out how much of these raw materials could be provided if a plant for recycling waste were built just outside the city. This plant would recycle not only mental such as steel, lead and copper, but also paper and rubber as well.Another new project is being set up to discover the best ways of sorting and separating the rubbish. When this project is complete, the rubbish will be processed like this: first, it will pass through sharp mental bars which will tear open the plastic bags in which rubbish is usually packed; then it will pass through a powerful fan to separate the lightest elements from the heavy solid; after that founders and rollers will break up everything thatcan be broken. Finally, the rubbish will pass under magnets, which will remove the bits of iron and steel; the rubber and plastic will then be sorted out in the final stage. The first full-scale(全面的)giant recycling plants are perhaps fifteen years away. Indeed, with the growing cost of transporting rubbish to move distant dumps, some big cities will be forced to build their own recycling plants before long.36.The phrase “should be well on with” (Para.1) most probably means______.A. get ready to startB. have achieved a great deal inC. have completed what was startedD. put an end to37. The passage is mainly about______.A. the location of recycling plantsB. new ways of recycling wastesC. a cheap way to get energyD. the probability of city environmentIIIPlay is the principal business of childhood, and in recent years research has shown the great importance of play in the development of a human being. From earliest infancy, every child needs opportunity and the right materials for play, and the main tools of play are toys. Their main function is to suggest, encourage and assist play. To succeed in this they must be good toys, which children will play with often, and will come back to again and again. Therefore it is important to choose suitable toys for different stages of a child’s development. In recent years research on infant development has shown that the standard a child is likely to reach, within the range of his inherited(继承的) abilities, is largely determined in the first three years of his life. So a baby’s ability to profit from the right play mate rials should not be underestimated. A baby who is encouraged and stimulated (刺激), talked to and shown things and played with, has the best chance of growing up successfully. In the next stage, from three to five years old, curiosity knows no bounds. Every type of suitable toy should be made available to the child, for trying out, experimenting and learning, for discovering his own particular ability. Bricks and jigsaws(七巧板)and construction toys; painting, scribbling(涂鸦) find making things; sand and water play; toys for imaginative and pretending play; the first social games for learning to play and get on with others.By the third stage of play development—from five to seven or eight years—the child is at school. But for a few more years play is still the best way of learning, at home or at school. It is easier to see which type of toys the child most enjoys.Until the age of seven or eight, play and work mean much the same to a child. But once reading has been mastered, then books and school become the main source of learning. Toys are still interesting and valuable, they lead on to new hobbies, but their significance has changed—to a child of nine or ten years, toys and games mean, as to adults, relaxation and fun.41. The passage tells us that as a child grows up, _______.A. he should be allowed to choose his own toysB. he should be given identical (同样的) toysC. he should be given different toysD. he should be given fewer and fewer toys42. According to the passage, the abilities a child has inherited from his parents______.A. determine his characterB. will not change after the age of threeC. partly determine the standard he is likely to reachD. to a large extent determine the choice of toys43. Who have the best chance of growing up successfully?A. Those who tend to overeatB. Those who are given a lot of toysC. Those who are given toys, talked to and played withD. Those who can share their toys with their playmates44. Television is going to bring American families closer together, predicted psychologist Joel Gold in 1949. Pictures which advertised television in the 1950s invariably showed a happy family gathered together in the living room, sharing the TV viewing experience. Who could have guessed that a quarter of a century later Mother would be in the kitchen watching a daytime drama, Dad would be in the living room watching a ball game, and the children would be watching cartoons in their bedroom?Television has certainly changed American life, but not the way the first critics predicted. The first televisions were enormously expensive, so most families owned only one. By 1975, however, 60% of American families owned two televisions or more; some middle class families had as many as five television sets under one roof. Such multi-set families may keep family members in the same house, but that hardly brings them together. In fact, family outings — hiking, going to the movies, going out to dinner — are often limited by TV because one or more family members don’t want to go: “I’ll miss my program.” is the common complaint.Perhaps more important than the lack of family outings is the destruction of family time together at home. Social scientists in the 1950s could not have realized how much television Americans would watch in the 1980s; the average American watches 6 hours of TV a day. That leaves little time for the special family characteristics and traditions that used to be formed during long evenings together. The time devoted to games, songs, and hobbies — all shared activities —in the years before TV is now dominated by “the tube”. And especially damaging to family relationships is the elimination of the opportunities for talking: chatting, arguing, discussing. Without such communication, family life disintegrates.Domination is the key word. Families in America today schedule their lives around the television. Children rush home from school to watch their programs while they do their homework. Mother shops between her special programs. The ski slopes are nearly empty on Sunday; football on TV takes precedence. The family may even eat meals in front of the television. Moreover, television is used as a baby-sitter; small children nationwide spend countless hours in front of the TV, passively ingesting whatever flashes before their eyes. Parents use the television as a resource of reward and punishment: “If you mow the lawn, you can watch TV an extra hour tonight,” or “No TV for you.You didn’t do your homework”. Ultimately, life-styles revolve around a regular schedule of eating, sleeping, and watching television.Isn’t there a better family life than this dismal, mechanized arrangement? According to social scientist Mary Helen Thuen te, the quality of life is diminished as family ties grow weaker, as children’s lives grow more and more separate from their parents, as the opportuniti es for living and sharing within a family are eliminated. Indeed, if the family does not accumulate shared experiences, it is not likely to survive. Consequently, if parents and children alike do not change their priorities, television will continue to exert its influence on American family life as baby-sitter, pacifier, teacher, role model, and supplier of morals, thus supplanting the place of the family in society.46. The main idea of paragraph 1 is that______.A. thirty years ago, television was introduced into American societyB.
