From my point of view, true love is no more than observing who the person is and intuitively love who he is. Elizabeth finds his true love. I bet many girls must be jealous of her for being such a wonderful man’s lifelong companion. Me, too. However, I should not conceal my respect and recognition to Elizabeth for she is definitely a great woman.
wealthy and handsome sincere and generous proud and haughty
M r. Darcy : An extremely wealthy aristocrat ,Darcy is proud , haughty and extremely conscious of class differences at the beginning of the novel . He does , however , have a strong sense of honor and virtue . Elizabeth's rebukes after his first proposal to her help him to recognize his faults of pride and socialaring myself thus I'm aware that I will be going expressly against the wishes of my family , my friends, and, I hardly need add, my own better judgment . The relative situation of our families makes any alliance between us a reprehensible connection. As a rational man I cannot but regard it as such myself, but it cannot be helped. Almost from the earliest moments, I have come to feel for you... ..a passionate admiration and regard . which despite my struggles, has overcome every rational objection . I beg you, most fervently, to relieve my suffering and consent to be my wife.

Pride and Prejudice - An IntroductionPride and Prejudice is a novel written by the renowned English author Jane Austen. First published in 1813, it has become one of the most famous and beloved works of English literature. Set in the early 19th century, the novel explores themes of love, social class, and morality, while providing a sharp and insightful critique of the societal norms of the time.Plot SummaryThe story revolves around five sisters of the Bennet family - Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Kitty, and Lydia - all of whom are looking to find suitable husbands. The novel opens with the arrival of a wealthy young bachelor, Charles Bingley, and his aristocratic friend, Fitzwilliam Darcy, in the neighborhood. Mrs. Bennet, the girls’ mother, immediately sets h er sights on Bingley as a potential match for one of her daughters.Jane, the eldest Bennet sister, develops a mutual affection for Bingley. However, Elizabeth, the second eldest and the novel’s protagonist, initially forms a negative opinion of Darcy due to his aloof and condescending demeanor. As the narrative progresses, Elizabeth’s prejudice towards Darcy begins to fade, and she discovers that her initial impression of him was misguided.Amidst a web of romantic entanglements and societal expectations, Elizabeth’s journey of self-discovery unfolds. She grapples with her own pride and prejudice, learning the importance of looking beyond superficial judgments and societal expectations in matters of the heart.ThemesLove and MarriageOne of the central themes explored in Pride and Prejudice is love and marriage. Austen provides a satirical critique of the societal pressure placed on women to marry for financial security rather than for love. The novel challenges the notion that marriage should be solely based on social class and economic considerations, advocating instead for the importance of genuine affection and compatibility between partners.Social ClassThe novel also delves into the rigid social class system of Austen’s time. Through the contrasting c haracters of Darcy and Elizabeth, Austen highlights the prejudices that arise from social hierarchies and the misconceptions that can be formed as a result. The Bennet family’s lower social standing serves as a point of contention and judgment from those in higher circles.Morality and EthicsPride and Prejudice explores the themes of morality and ethics through the actions and behaviors of its characters. Austen presents a moral compass that emphasizes the importance of integrity, kindness, and genuine virtue. Characters who demonstrate these qualities, such as Jane and Elizabeth, are rewarded with happiness and fulfillment, while those who act in a self-serving or deceitful manner face consequences.Literary SignificancePride and Prejudice is widely regarded as a masterpiece of English literature. With its engaging characters, witty dialogues, and astute social observations, the novel continues to resonate with readers of all ages. Austen’s exploration of love, societal norms, and human nature transcends time and remns relevant to contemporary audiences. The novel’s enduring popularity has led to numerous adaptations for the stage, film, and television. From the classic 1940 film adaptation starring Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier to the critically acclmed 1995 BBC television miniseries starring Colin Firth, Pride and Prejudice has captivated audiences in various forms.ConclusionPride and Prejudice is a timeless tale that combines romance, social commentary, and sharp wit to create a captivating narrative. Through its memorable characters and thought-provoking themes, the novel continues to entertn and enlighten readers, encouraging us to examine our own prejudices and embrace the power of love and acceptance. Jane Austen’s enduring masterpiece stands as a testament to her skill as a storyteller and her insightful observations of human nature.。
