A healthy lifestyle includes eating healthy food, exercising regularly and getting enough rest.Eating healthy food means eating food that is good for our bodies. We should eat lots of fruits and vegetables. We should also avoid eating too much junk food and sugary drinks. We should drink plenty of water and eat at regular intervals.Exercise is also important for our health. We should exercise for at least 30 minutes every day. This can include walking, jogging, swimming or playing sports.Getting enough rest is important too. We should try to get 8 hours of sleep every night. This helps our bodies to rest and recharge.By following these healthy habits, we can improve our health and live a longer, happier life.Lesson 2 Common IllnessesMany people get sick from time to time. Common illnesses include colds, flu and stomach bugs.A cold is a viral infection that affects the nose and throat. Symptoms include a sore throat, runny nose and coughing. Colds usually last for a week or two and can be treated with rest and plenty of fluids. The flu is another viral infection that is more serious than a cold. If the person is unconscious, start CPR if you know how to do it.If someone is choking, try to dislodge the object by using theHeimlich maneuver. Stand behind the person and wrap your arms around their waist. Make a fist with one hand and place it above their belly button. Use your other hand to push the fist into their abdomen several times. If someone has a severe cut or bleeding, apply pressure to the wound with a clean cloth or bandage. 七年级下册四单元英语作文人教版
七年级下册四单元英语作文人教版全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Title: My Green Thumb ProjectHi there! My name is Alex, and I'm a 7th-grader at Greenville Middle School. I love studying English because it allows me to communicate with people from different parts of the world. Recently, our English teacher, Mrs. Johnson, assigned us a really cool project called "My Green Thumb." The goal was to learn about environmental protection while also practicing our English skills. At first, I didn't know what to expect, but Mrs. Johnson explained that we would be growing our own plants from seeds. She said that taking care of plants would teach us about the importance of protecting the environment and the role that plants play in keeping our planet healthy. We started the project by researching different types of plants that are easy to grow indoors. I decided to grow tomatoes because they're one of my favorite vegetables, and I love thetaste of fresh, homegrown tomatoes. Mrs. Johnson gave each of us a small pot, some soil, and a few tomato seeds to get started. The first step was to prepare the soil and plant the seeds. I had never done anything like this before, so I was a little nervous about messing it up. But Mrs. Johnson showed us how to do it, and it turned out to be pretty simple. We just had to make sure the soil was moist and plant the seeds at the right depth. After planting the seeds, we had to be patient and wait for them to germinate, which means to sprout and start growing. It took about a week for the first tiny green shoots to appear. I was so excited when I saw them poking out of the soil! From that point on, it was my job to water the plant regularly and make sure it got enough sunlight. As the weeks went by, my tomato plant grew taller and stronger. I was amazed at how quickly it changed and how much bigger it got every day. Mrs. Johnson taught us about the different parts of the plant and how they all work together to help the plant grow and produce fruit. One of the most interesting things I learned was about photosynthesis, which is the process that plants use to convert sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide into oxygen and energy. It's like plants have their own little factories inside them! I alsolearned about the importance of pollinators, like bees and butterflies, which help plants reproduce by carrying pollen from one flower to another.Taking care of my tomato plant wasn't always easy, though. There were times when I accidentally over-watered it or didn't give it enough sunlight. But Mrs. Johnson was always there to help me get back on track. She taught us how to recognize signs of plant stress and how to adjust our care accordingly. One of the biggest challenges was dealing with pests. At one point, my plant got infested with tiny little insects called aphids. They were sucking the sap out of the leaves and stems, and my poor plant was starting to look really unhealthy. Mrs. Johnson showed us how to mix up a natural insecticide using soap and water, and after a few treatments, the aphids were gone! Finally, after months of hard work and patience, my tomato plant started to produce little yellow flowers. I was so excited because I knew that meant tomatoes were on the way! Sure enough, a few weeks later, I spotted the first tiny green tomato growing on the vine.Watching that little tomato grow bigger and redder each day was like witnessing a miracle. I couldn't believe that I hadgrown something so amazing all by myself (well, with a little help from Mrs. Johnson, of course). When the tomato was finally ripe and ready to be picked, I was bursting with pride. I carefully plucked it from the vine and took it home to share with my family. We sliced it up and added it to our salads, and let me tell you, it was the most delicious tomato I've ever tasted! This project taught me so much more than just how to grow a plant. I learned about the importance of taking care of the environment and how even small actions, like growing a little tomato plant, can make a difference. I also learned about patience, perseverance, and the satisfaction that comes from hard work and dedication. But perhaps the most valuable lesson I learned was about the incredible power of nature. Seeing that tiny seed transform into a lush, vibrant plant that produced delicious fruit was truly awe-inspiring. It made me realize how amazing and resilient plants are, and how much we depend on them for our survival.I'm so grateful to Mrs. Johnson for giving us this opportunity to connect with nature and learn about environmental protection in such a hands-on way. I know that the knowledge and skills I gained from this project will stay with me for a longtime, and I can't wait to put them to use by growing more plants and doing my part to protect our beautiful planet.Thank you for reading about my "Green Thumb" project! I hope it inspires you to get out there and start growing something of your own. Trust me, it's an experience you'll never forget!篇2My Weekend PlansHi everyone! My name is Amy, and I am a seventh-grade student. I want to share with you my exciting plans for the upcoming weekend. I hope you all will enjoy reading about them!On Saturday morning, I am going to sleep in a little bit because I love to have a good rest after a busy week at school. But don't worry, I won't sleep too late! After having a yummy breakfast with my family, I will head to the park. I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially when the weather is nice. I will bring my favorite book and find a cozy spot under a tree to read. Reading always takes me to different worlds and makes me feel relaxed. In the afternoon, I will join my friends for a fun picnic in the park. We will bring delicious sandwiches, fruits, and some snacks. We will play games like frisbee and catch, and maybe even fly a kite if it's windy. Spending time with my friends always fills me with joy and laughter. On Sunday, I will visit my grandparents. They live in the countryside, and I love going there because it's so peaceful and beautiful. My grandma is an amazing cook, so she will prepare a special lunch for us. I will help her in the kitchen, just like I always do. We will make my favorite dish together - homemade pizza! It's going to be so much fun! After lunch, I will explore the surroundings with my grandpa. We will go for a walk in the fields, feed the chickens, and maybe even pick some fresh vegetables from the garden. My grandpa has so many interesting stories to tell, and I love listening to them. He also teaches me about nature and the importance of taking care of the environment. In the evening, before heading back home, I will spend some quality time with my family. We will watch a movie together and enjoy some popcorn. It's the perfect way to end a wonderful weekend. That's all about my weekend plans! I can't wait for the weekend to come. I hope you all have an amazing weekend too. Remember to cherish every moment and make the most out of it.Take care and see you soon!Love,Amy篇3My Summer Vacation AdventureSummer vacation is finally here! No more waking up early, no more homework, and no more boring classes. It's time for fun, freedom, and plenty of adventures! This summer, I'm determined to make the most out of my time off from school. Mom and Dad have promised to take me on a super exciting trip, but they won't tell me where we're going. The suspense is killing me!A few weeks ago, I overheard Mom and Dad discussing our vacation plans. From what I could gather, we're going somewhere really far away, and it's going to involve a long plane ride. I tried eavesdropping some more, but they caught me andtold me to stop being so nosy. Now I'm even more curious about our mystery destination!I've been making all sorts of wild guesses. Maybe we're going to visit my cousin in Australia and get to see kangaroos and koalas up close. Or perhaps we're headed to Africa for a real-life safari adventure. Imagine seeing lions, elephants, and giraffes roaming freely in their natural habitats! That would be so cool.Another possibility is that we're going to explore ancient ruins in South America, like the legendary Machu Picchu in Peru. I've seen pictures of those incredible Incan structures perched high up in the mountains, and they look absolutely breathtaking. It would be like stepping back in time to an advanced civilization lost to history.Wherever we end up going, I'm sure it's going to be an unforgettable experience. Mom and Dad are always saying that traveling is the best way to learn about different cultures and expand our horizons. I can't wait to immerse myself in a brand new environment, try exotic foods, and maybe even pick up a few words in a foreign language. No matter what, I'm determined to make this the best summer ever! I'll read lots of books, work on some creativewriting projects, and maybe even learn a new skill or hobby. Who knows, I might just discover a hidden talent or passion that will shape my future goals and dreams. When summer eventually comes to an end, and it's time to go back to school, I know I'll have a million stories to share with my classmates. I can already picture their jealous faces as I regale them with tales of my incredible adventures. They'll be so envious of all the fun I had and the amazing places I got to see.For now, though, I'm just going to focus on enjoying every second of my freedom. No more schedules, no more deadlines, and no more rules (well, except for the ones Mom and Dad enforce, of course). It's going to be two and a half glorious months of pure, uninterrupted bliss. Bring it on, summer vacation – I'm ready for you!篇4Title: My Unforgettable Summer AdventureHey there! My name is Alex, and I'm a 7th-grade student at Greenwood Middle School. Last summer, I had the most amazing adventure that I'll never forget. Let me tell you all about it!It all started when my parents told me that we were going on a camping trip to the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I was so excited because I love being outdoors and exploring nature. We packed our camping gear, including a tent, sleeping bags, flashlights, and lots of snacks and water. The drive to the campsite was long, but the scenery was breathtaking. We passed through winding roads, lush forests, and towering mountains. When we finally arrived at the campsite, we set up our tent and started a campfire. The fresh mountain air and the crackling of the fire made me feel so relaxed and happy. The next day, we went on a hiking trail that led us deep into the mountains. The path was sometimes steep and rocky, but the views were incredible. We saw crystal-clear streams, wildflowers in full bloom, and even a few deer grazing in the distance. My favorite part was when we reached a stunning waterfall. The roar of the cascading water was deafening, but the sight was mesmerizing. After our hike, we decided to go fishing in a nearby lake. My dad taught me how to bait the hook and cast the line. It took a while, but eventually, I caught a small trout! We cooked it over the campfire that evening, and it was the most delicious fish I've ever tasted. One night, we went stargazing. The sky was so clear and filled with countless twinkling stars. My mom pointed out different constellations, and we even saw a shooting star! It was a magical moment that made me feel so small and insignificant compared to the vastness of the universe.During our camping trip, we also went rock climbing, which was both terrifying and exhilarating. With the help of our guide and safety equipment, we climbed up towering rock faces. The sense of accomplishment when I reached the top was indescribable. On our last day, we went for a refreshing swim in a nearby lake. The water was icy cold, but it felt amazing after being out in the hot sun all day. We splashed around, played water games, and even had a friendly water fight. As we packed up our camping gear and headed back home, I felt a mixture of sadness and gratitude. I was sad to leave behind the beautiful mountains and all the amazing memories we had created, but I was grateful for the opportunity to experience such a wonderful adventure.Looking back, that camping trip taught me so many valuable lessons. I learned to appreciate the beauty of nature, to step out of my comfort zone and try new things, and to cherish qualitytime with my family. It was an unforgettable summer that I'll always treasure in my heart. So, if you ever get the chance to go on a camping adventure, don't hesitate! It might be challenging at times, but the memories you'll create will last a lifetime. Trust me; it's an experience you won't want to miss!篇5My Life as a Middle SchoolerHey there! I'm Sam, and I'm in 7th grade now. Wow, middle school is really different from elementary school! There's just so much more freedom, but also way more responsibilities. It can be a little overwhelming at times, but I'm slowly getting the hang of it.One of the biggest changes is having to move between classes. Back in elementary school, I stayed in the same classroom all day. But now, I have to go to different rooms for each subject like math, science, English, and so on. At first, I kept getting lost in the hallways trying to find my next class! Thankfully, my friends helped show me around and I've mostly figured out where everything is now.Speaking of friends, that's another thing that's pretty different in middle school. In elementary school, we all stuck together in the same little buddy groups year after year. But now, friends are mixing more and changing up. Some of my closest elementary school buddies have drifted away as we've made new friends. It's sad to lose touch with old friends, but also exciting meeting new people. Then there are the extracurricular activities! My school has so many different clubs and sports teams to join. I decided to go out for the basketball team, which has been a ton of fun. The practices are intense, but I love the competition and being part of a team. I've also joined the coding club, since I'm really interested in computers and technology.Besides clubs and sports, there are a lot more academic responsibilities too. The homework load is much heavier than elementary school. I have to be way more organized, making sure to write down all my assignments and deadlines. It's not easy, but I'm trying my best to stay on top of it all.Another big challenge has been dealing with all the different teachers and their styles. Some are super strict about rules and due dates, while others are more laid-back. A few of my teachers this year have been pretty harsh about grading too. My parentshave had to email them a couple times to discuss things, which was pretty awkward. I just have to work that much harder in those classes.Overall though, I'm really enjoying middle school more than I thought I would. Sure, there's a lot more freedom, but also way more responsibilities to go along with it. I have to make my own choices about homework, activities, friends and more. It's a bit intimidating, but also empowering in a way. I'm getting prepared for even more independence in high school and beyond. The social aspect of middle school has its ups and downs too. There's definitely more drama going around with friend groups, crushes, bullying, and all that. I try to just stay out of the negative stuff and stick with the friends who make me feel good about myself. At the same time, there are so many more opportunities to make new friends from different backgrounds. My circle is way more diverse than back in elementary school.Plus, middle school is when you really start defining your own interests and identity apart from your family. What sports, clubs, music, shows and other stuff you're into starts meaning a lot more. I'm at that age where I'm exploring all sorts of new interests to figure out who I really am. It's an exciting process!Looking ahead, I can't wait to get to high school and have even more freedoms and opportunities. But I also know I'll miss a lot about middle school when it's over. The familiarity of being a big fish in a little pond, seeing my friends every day, and being able to goof around without too many high-stakes responsibilities. I'll cherish these middle school years while I can!For any elementary schoolers reading this, my advice would be: get ready! Middle school is a whole new adventure filled with exciting changes and challenges. It may feel overwhelming at first, but take it day by day. Be responsible and make good choices, but also make sure to join clubs, sports or activities you enjoy. That's where the best memories are made. And don't be afraid to put yourself out there, step out of your comfort zone, and try new things! Middle school is when you really start figuring out who you are.Well, that's been my experience as a middle schooler so far! It's been a roller coaster ride for sure, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm sure the rest of 7th grade and 8th grade will bring even more exciting ups and downs. Thanks for reading, and wish me luck!篇6Title: My Unforgettable Summer VacationIt was the last day of school before the summer break, and I couldn't contain my excitement. As the final bell rang, I burst out of the classroom, ready to bid farewell to textbooks and homework for the next two months. My friends and I made plans to meet up frequently during the vacation, promising to have the best summer ever. The first week flew by as I slept in late, played video games, and binge-watched my favorite shows. However, by the second week, boredom started creeping in. That's when my mom suggested we take a trip to my grandparents' farm in the countryside.I had mixed feelings about the idea. On one hand, I loved spending time with my grandparents and exploring the great outdoors. On the other hand, I worried about being disconnected from the internet and my friends. Nevertheless, I agreed to go, figuring it would be a welcome change of pace. The journey to the farm was long, but the scenery along the way was breathtaking. As we drove further away from the city, the towering skyscrapers gave way to rolling hills and vast fields of crops. I couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of nature.Upon arriving at the farm, my grandparents welcomed us with open arms and warm hugs. The familiar scent of my grandmother's homemade cookies filled the air, and I felt an immediate sense of nostalgia. After settling in, my grandfather took me on a tour of the farm, showing me the various animals and crops they tended to.I was amazed by the sheer amount of work required to maintain the farm. My grandfather explained the importance of sustainable farming practices and how they aimed to preserve the land for future generations. I gained a newfound respect for the hard work and dedication of farmers.Over the next few days, I immersed myself in farm life. I helped my grandmother in the kitchen, learning how to prepare traditional dishes using fresh ingredients straight from the farm. I even tried my hand at milking the cows, although I must admit, it was far more challenging than it looked. One of the highlights of my stay was exploring the vast fields and forests surrounding the farm. My grandfather taught me how to identify different types of plants and birds, and I marveled at the intricate web of life that existed in this natural haven. We went on hikes, fished in the nearby stream, and even built a treehouse together. As the days passed, I found myself disconnecting from the digital world and reconnecting with nature. The constant buzz of notifications and the allure of social media faded into the background, replaced by the soothing sounds of rustling leaves and chirping birds. One evening, as we sat around the campfire, my grandfather shared stories of his childhood on the farm. He spoke of the challenges they faced during those times, but also of the simple joys and strong family bonds that kept them going. I realized that despite the conveniences of modern life, there was something truly special about the way they lived – a connection to the land and a sense of community that seemed to be fading in today's fast-paced world. As the summer drew to a close, I found myself feeling a mixture of sadness and gratitude. Sadness because I had to leave behind the tranquility of the farm, but gratitude for the invaluable lessons and experiences I had gained. On the drive back home, I couldn't help but reflect on how much I had grown during those few weeks. I had gained a deeper appreciation for nature, hard work, and the importance of preserving our planet for future generations. But mostimportantly, I had reconnected with my roots and strengthened the bonds with my family. As I stepped back into the bustling city, I vowed to carry the lessons from the farm with me. I promised myself to take time away from screens and spend more time outdoors, appreciating the beauty that surrounds us. And whenever I felt overwhelmed by the fast pace of modern life, I would close my eyes and remember the serenity of the farm, the warmth of my grandparents' embrace, and the simple joys that truly matter.。

七年级英语下册四单元作文60词左右
七年级英语下册四单元作文60词左右全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Unit 4 - A Balanced LifeHey there! It's me again, your friendly neighborhood 7th grader. Today I want to talk to you about Unit 4 in our English textbook - all about living a balanced life. I know, I know, it sounds kind of boring. But trust me, this unit is actually pretty cool and useful! The first part talks all about having a healthy lifestyle. We learned about eating nutritious foods, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep. Basically, all the stuff our parents are always nagging us about! But you know what? They might just be onto something. Feeling good physically really does help you feel good mentally too.We read this awesome story about a kid named Alex who was super into video games. Like, obsessively into them. He would skip meals, stay up all night gaming, and basically forgot how to function like a normal human being. It got so bad that his mom had to start setting time limits and making him go outsideand play. At first Alex was mad, but then he realized having more balance made him feel a lot better. The fresh air and activity gave him more energy, and eating decent meals helped his brain work better when he did play games. Moral of the story - too much of anything, even video games, is no bueno! The next section focused on mental health, which is just as important as physical health in my opinion. We talked about managing stress and anxiety, which kids our age deal with way more than adults realize. Things like friend drama, tough classes, family issues, you name it.篇2My Adventures Learning EnglishEnglish is such a fun language to learn! When I was just a little kid in kindergarten, I remember thinking English sounded really weird and difficult. All those crazy sounds and spellings that didn't make any sense to me at the time. But now that I'm in 7th grade, I've come to really enjoy the journey of learning this global language.I still vividly recall my first English lessons way back in 1st grade. We started by learning the alphabet and very basic words like "cat", "dog", "apple" and so on. My teacher, Ms. Roberts, wasreally nice and made the lessons fun with games, songs and picture books. Even though I didn't understand much at first, I loved the funny sounds of words like "shoes" and "bathtub"!In 2nd grade, we moved on to simple phrases and sentence structures. That's when I started feeling a bit frustrated at times, because English has so many irregular verb forms that you just have to memorize. Why is the past tense of "go" not "goed"?! My parents were very supportive though, helping me practice at home with flashcards.3rd grade was a big step up in difficulty. We began learning different tenses like the present progressive ("I am eating") and future simple ("I will go"). Yikes, my head was spinning trying to remember all the different verb conjugations! We also tackled things like plurals, possessives, and basic punctuation rules. I remember my first few writing assignments in English were pretty messy. The upper elementary years of 4th and 5th grade brought new challenges with reading comprehension, longer writing assignments, and more advanced grammar concepts. Things like the present perfect tense ("I have eaten") and modals like "can", "should", and "might". I'm really grateful my parents put me inthose after-school English tutoring classes, because those years were T.O.U.G.H!By the time I reached 6th grade middle school, my English had become pretty solid through all that repetition and practice over the years. Don't get me wrong, I still made plenty of mistakes and had lots more to learn. But I felt like I had climbed a big mountain and could hold conversations and read/write with only occasional roadblocks. Ms. Thompson, my 6th grade English teacher, pushed us to read our first novel in English that year - The Wizard of Oz. I'll never forget that sense of pride when I finished it!Now here I am in 7th grade, and English still keeps my brain working hard every day. This year we've dove into complicated areas like the passive voice, perfect modals, conditional sentences, and punctuation rules I never knew existed (who invented the semi-colon anyway?!). We just started our latest unit on giving professional persuasive speeches and presentations. Thinking through logical arguments and being an effective public speaker in English is no joke!Looking ahead, I know 8th grade and high school English will stretch me even further. But I'm actually really excited about that. After working so hard on English for the last seven years, it'sbecome one of my favorite subjects. I love unraveling the quirks and idiosyncrasies of the English language. It's almost like cracking a code.More than that though, I've realized what a gift it is to speak and understand this global lingua franca. English opens up the whole world to me - the ability to consume media, literature, and knowledge from every corner of the planet. It allows me to connect with people from cultures and backgrounds vastly different from my own. I feel empowered knowing that I have a mastery of the world's most widely spoken language. So while learning English hasn't always been easy, it's been an incredibly rewarding journey. One that's helping shape me into a smarter, more curious, and more globally-minded student and person. Wherever life takes me, this powerful tool of English篇3Last week in English class, we started Unit 4 which was all about describing people's personalities and appearances. It was a really fun unit because we got to talk about our friends and families. The first lesson was on personality adjectives like friendly, outgoing, shy, patient, and so on. We had to make sentencesdescribing different people we know using those adjectives. I wrote that my best friend Jessica is really outgoing and energetic. She's always the life of the party! But my brother can be kind of shy sometimes, especially around new people. Then we learned about appearance adjectives like tall, short, thin, plump, and words for describing hair and eyes. We did an activity where we had to describe a famous person's appearance without saying their name, and our classmates had to guess who it was. I described a tall man with short brown hair and green eyes, and everyone quickly figured out I was talking about Harry Styles! My favorite part was when we read a story about two friends who looked completely different on the outside, but had very similar personalities. It showed that you can't judge a book by its cover. Just because someone is shy or looks a certain way doesn't mean you know what their true personality is like.Overall, I think Unit 4 taught me a lot about how to describe myself and others in a respectful, thoughtful way. Now when I introduce people, I'll do more than just say what they look like physically. I'll also talk about their fun, unique personalities that make them who they are!篇4My Favorite SportSports are really fun! My favorite sport is basketball. I love playing basketball with my friends after school and on the weekends. It's such an exciting game. When I play basketball, I feel really happy and energetic. Running around the court, dribbling the ball, and shooting hoops makes me feel alive. Even if I miss some shots, I don't get too upset because it's just a game. The most important thing is having fun and being active. My friends and I often play at the park near my house. We pick teams and play games of 21 or just shoot around for practice. Sometimes we have tournaments and see who can make the most baskets in a row. It gets very competitive but in a friendly way. Win or lose, we always have a great time.Basketball helps me stay fit and healthy too. All that running back and forth really gets my heart pumping. I work up a sweat and it feels good to get some exercise after sitting in class all day. Playing basketball is way more enjoyable than just running on a treadmill.I'm not the tallest kid, but I've gotten pretty good at dribbling and passing. My favorite move is the cross-over dribble to get past defenders. I dream of one day being a basketball star and playing in the NBA! For now though, I'm happy just playing pickup games with my buddies. Maybe someday I'll be good enough to make my school's team.I hope I can keep playing basketball for a very long time. It's such an amazing sport that combines athleticism, strategy, and teamwork. Every game is a new challenge and opportunity to improve my skills. Even as I get older, I'll always cherish the memories of those sunny afternoons spent on the basketball court with friends. Basketball will forever be my favorite sport!篇5My Favorite Unit in English ClassUnit 4 of our English textbook is by far my favorite unit so far this year! I really enjoyed learning about different cultures and traditions from around the world. It was so interesting to read about how kids my age live in other countries. One of the things I liked best was reading the story about the Japanese festival of Obon. I had never heard of it before, but it sounded like such an amazing celebration to honor yourancestors. The part about leaving food offerings and lighting lanterns was really beautiful. I could picture the lanterns floating down the river at night - it must be such a magical sight! I also thought it was cool how families get together and clean their ancestors' graves as part of the traditions. Even though the customs seem strange at first, you can tell it's really important for Japanese people to remember and respect their relatives who came before them.Another tradition I found fascinating was Dia de los Muertos from Mexico. The skeleton masks and colorful sugar skulls looked so vibrant and cheerful, not spooky at all like I imagined at first. I loved learning that it's a joyful holiday focused on celebrating the lives of deceased loved ones, not mourning their deaths. The idea of putting out their favorite foods and drinks, decorating their graves, and having picnics at the cemetery almost makes death seem...happy? Not sad at all. I could really understand why Mexican families look forward to this special time of year. If one of my grandparents passed away, I think celebrating Dia de los Muertos would make me feel closer to them.Reading about all these meaningful cultural traditions from places like China, India, and Peru made me a little sad that myown culture doesn't have more ceremonial ways to honor our ancestors. Other than visiting their graves once a year, we don't really have big celebrations or rituals focused on remembering relatives who died long ago. Part of me wishes we had colorful festivals and feasts like the ones I read about, so we could keep their memories and stories alive in a fun, exciting way. Rather than just feeling sad on the anniversary of someone's death, it would be nice to have uplifting traditions that remind us to be grateful they were part of our lives. At the same time, I realized that every family and culture finds their own ways to grieve and memorialize their dead, based on what feels most natural to them. While my family's approach isn't as elaborate, I know we still find subtle ways to continue feeling connected to our ancestors. Looking at old photos, telling funny stories about them, or making their favorite meals are simple but meaningful traditions too. The assignment also taught me that I don't need major festivals to celebrate my relatives - I can honor them every day just by living my life in a way that would make them proud.Overall, Unit 4 was an eye-opening exploration of the amazing diversity in how different cultures around the world relate to death and celebrating those who came before us. Everysociety has such wise, deeply-rooted traditions that have been passed down through generations. Though the specific rituals and beliefs vary widely, they all seem to stem from that universal human need to keep our ancestors' memories alive and find peace after they're gone. I have a newfound appreciation for the incredible variety of mourning and memorialization practices. At the same time, I realized there are also beautiful similarities in how we all want to create positive ways to grieve while still honoring our loved ones' lives.I'm really grateful we took the time to learn about these fascinating cultural traditions in Unit 4. It expanded my perspective on how different (yet alike) we all are when it comes to death. While I haven't decided if I want to incorporate any new ancestral ceremonies into my life, I certainly feel more curious and respectful about the diverse rituals I encountered. No matter what we study next, this unit gave me a broader, moreopen-minded outlook on the world that I'll take with me.篇6In Unit 4 of my English textbook, we learned about different countries and cultures! It was so cool to read about places like India, Mexico, and Kenya. We learned new vocabulary words like "sari", "piñata", and "safari".The reading passages talked about fun festivals and traditions from around the world. I liked the one about Diwali, the festival of lights in India. People decorate their homes with oil lamps and make delicious sweets. The pictures showed everyone dressed up in beautiful bright colors. In Mexico, we read about las posadas, which are celebrations leading up to Christmas. People go from house to house acting out Mary and Joseph looking for a place to stay. At the end, they break open a piñata filled with candy and toys! I would lov e to try hitting a piñata someday. The passage on Kenya described going on safari to see amazing animals like lions, elephants and giraffes in their natural habitats. The pictures made it look like such an incredible adventure. I put "go on an African safari" on my life dream list! For the writing activities, we wrote postcards describing different cultural traditions. I wrote mine about Thanksgiving and how my family gets together, watches football, and eats a huge turkey dinner. I tried to make my Mexican friend Juan understand what cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie are!Overall, this was my favorite unit so far. I enjoyed learning about the unique customs and celebrations from other countries. It reminded me that even though we're all different, peoplearound the world are really just doing their own familiar traditions and festivals with their families, just like me. Now I want to travel the world and experience all the amazing cultures!。

We take food for granted(理所应当).And we don’t think about it.51 experts argue a food crisis(危机)is coming. This crisis is going to make us 52 the way we think about food.Food is in great need 53 the growing of world population. By 1960, the population was three billion. It doubled to six billion by 1999. By 2050, this planet will need to feed at least nine billion people. As a result, the food prices get 54 .So, what 55 a hungry, crowded world do? One suggestion is to eat 56 meat. Meat uses more natural resources than grains. It requires more land 57 one pound of meat than to produce one pound of grains. It also requires 58 5and 10 times more water than vegetables. So, eating less meat will provide more land for 59 , and it will save water. To eat less meat, people will need to change their eating habits. That will not be 60 . Americans, for example, have always loved meat. In general, they eat twice as much meat as people in 61 countries. At the same time , in developing countries like China and Brazil, sales of meat have doubled in the last 20 years. 62 will double again by 2050. Growing need of meat 63 to put pressure on natural resources.World population is increasing, resources are becoming fewer, and food prices are rising. Therefore, we need to rethink about 64 we eat every day. For meat lovers,we don’t need to give up meat 65 .
