商务英语商业报告格式范文

商务英语商业报告格式范文Here is a business English report format sample with more than 1000 words:The Importance of Effective Business Communication in the Modern Business EnvironmentEffective business communication is a critical skill for success in the modern business world. Clear, concise, and professional communication is essential for building relationships, disseminating information, and achieving business objectives. Whether communicating with clients, colleagues, or stakeholders, the ability to convey ideas effectively can make the difference between success and failure. One of the primary reasons effective business communication is so important is its role in building and maintaining relationships. In the business world, relationships are the foundation upon which success is built. Strong relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders can lead to repeat business, referrals, and new opportunities. However, these relationships can only be developed and maintained through effective communication. When communicating with clients, for example, the ability to listen actively, ask the right questions, and provide clear and helpful responses can go a long way in building trust and rapport. Clients want to feel heard and understood, and effective communication demonstrates that the business values their needs and is committed to providing solutions. Similarly, strong communication with colleagues and team members can foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, leading to greater productivity and better outcomes.Effective business communication is also essential for the dissemination of information within an organization. Whether it's sharing updates on projects, communicating changes in policies or procedures, or providing feedback and guidance, the ability to convey information clearly and concisely is critical. When information is communicated effectively, it can help to align team members, ensure that everyone is on the same page, and facilitate the smooth execution of tasks and projects. In contrast, poor communication can lead to confusion, misunderstandings, and a breakdown in collaboration. This can result in missed deadlines, inefficient use of resources, and ultimately, a negative impact on the bottom line. Effective communication, on the other hand, can help to minimize these issues and ensure thateveryone is working towards the same goals.Another important aspect of effective business communication is its ability to help businesses achieve their objectives. Whether it's securing a new client, securing funding, or launching a new product or service, the ability to communicate effectively can be a key differentiator. A well-crafted proposal, a persuasive presentation, or a compelling marketing campaign can all help to drive business success.Effective communication can also be a valuable tool for navigating complex business situations. When faced with challenges or conflicts, the ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically can be the difference between a positive resolution and a damaging outcome. Strong communication skills can help to de-escalate tense situations, find common ground, and reach mutually beneficial solutions. In today's globalized and technologically-driven business environment, effective communication skills are more important than ever. With teams and stakeholders often spread across multiple locations and time zones, the ability to communicate effectively across different mediums and platforms is essential. Whether it's a video conference, an email, or a written report, the ability to convey information clearly and concisely can make a significant difference in the success of a business. In conclusion, effective business communication is a critical skill for success in the modern business world. From building and maintaining relationships to disseminating information and achieving business objectives, the ability to communicate effectively can be a powerful tool for any organization. By developing and honing their communication skills, businesses can position themselves for long-term success in an increasingly competitive global marketplace.。

Our company, TWCB, as requested the solution by Harrods department store’s manager, we immediately looked into the matter and found three problems which may have caused the decreasing. The fiscal third quarter of this fiscal year will end in two months. We will do everything to solve the problems before customers switch and never to return. In this report, I will describe the problems we found in the department store and propose three possible measures to solve them and the estimated cost.1.Purpose, Scope, and Challenges·Purpose: the purpose of this report is to analyze what caused the problem and how can we solve it as soon as possible. The report gives the result of the investigation.·Scope: we immediately formed two teams, one of which checked the department store regularly and the other conducted a survey on customer. The first team hangs around the store for 7 days in a row and constantly does some shopping to see how the service feels like. The second team designed questionnaires collecting customer’s comments on the store. The result was not as bad as we had expected. But the store should do something before it becomes a real problem.·Challenges: the department store has been facing tremendous challenges and pressure as the number of competitions grows at high speed each year. For instance, some customers select one store visit regularly out of ten. Our store is facing increasing competitive pressure.2.MethodsWe conducted the investigation through two methods: interviews and questionnaires. We sent out 1000 questionnaires and 800 customers responded to them. 300 customers chosen randomly from customer questionnaire’s numbers were interviewed.Part TwoThe Decreasing Profits in Harrods Department StoreIn last six months, there’s sharply profits fell showed on the financial reporting form Harrods department store. We did research on the decreasing problem.1.25% Decreasing compared with 2020After the research, we found that under the strategy of Harrods, to offer a wide choice of products and personalized service, the department store has worked well until st year, however, profits fell sharply and results for the first six months of this year have been disappointing. Then we did a comparing with this store’s profits from January to June in 2020 and 2021, there is the chart:petition’s Average Profits in 2020&2021After compared with our own store’s profits in 2020, one of our team did research on our competition’s average profits in 2020&2021. Here is the table (on next page):0.511.522.533.5From the table, we can see that, when Harrods department store ’s profits decreasing sharply in this two year, the competition has grown a lot; it gives us a great competitive pressure at now and future. We need to do something to change the bad situation.3. Major Causes of the DecreasingFrom the research, we can see the major problems which caused the decreasing, and we summarized them as follows:• As we only focused on some high-quality products, we can ’t expandmarket share in other aspects, our market positioning is inflexible.• As economic globalization becomes strong, our foreign marketshould develop more deep and widely.• Our strategy is good, but it didn ’t pay attention to nowadaysshopping fashion. Service concept was out of date.We must take concrete measures to solve all the problems.Impact on Harrods Department storeThe decreasing of the profits not only made damage to the economic interests of Harrods department store, it wills also jeopardizing the Harrods’ brand reputation and then when we need more funds to increase the profits will be very hard.1.More Funds Needed to Increasing ProfitsIndeed to increasing the department store’s profits, we should do a lot of research and work. To make a perfect solution, all the projects will spend a lot of money to get the most accurate answer. During the whole things, we will cooperate with many famous companies on investigation or doing business expanding. To make sure everything is moving on schedule and is within the budget, we will make an accurate expense, and expect to complete the project without exceeding the budget.2.Jeopardizing the Harrods’ Brand ReputationWith the result of our questionnaire, we can see that: among the 800 customers, 650 are employees and rests of them are teenagers and senior citizens. In the employees group,25% of them with an annual income of 100, 0000£or more, and others annual income is about 30, 000 to 80,000£. The high income group didn’t show any unsatisfactory to the service and product. But in the middle income group, many of them want value for money and to feel they have got a bargain and services which make life easier or save time, which they think Harrods can’t serve well. Methods for Increasing the ProfitsThe working team has worked out methods to increase the profits of the department store. We will depend on marketing positioning, foreign market, and training new service concept as our main approaches to our customers.Three Ways to Increasing the Profits•To attract customers we will rebuild our department store to make a place for some discount goods. And in other city area, like communities and shopping mall, we will set up some convenience stores, discount stores and speciality stores as competition did. But as the long history and special brand charm we has, our stores will be very different from others. We will develop a new message to our potential customers, that “Luxury culture also can be an Approachable culture.” The message together with pictures showing features of our new stores will be advertised in the local papers, magazines, and our new catalogs.•Although HARODDS is a successful department store in London and has many chain stores in New York and Italian, we can’t ignore the mega consumer market in some Asian countries, like China and Japan. These countries own a large consumer population, which makes them consumer markets with great potentials. So we should try to connect with those local business men to expand our foreign retail chains and develop foreign markets.•With a survey shows that: as the English population ages, older groups will provide opportunities for sales growth. And nowadays the English consumers want value for money and to feel they have got a bargain. Britain is moving from a luxury culture to a convenience culture. People want services which make life easier or save time. So the old service concept was out of date, we should do a series of trainings to improve staff’s awareness of the shoppingfashion and their competence in competing in the market. The training mainly focuses on how to serve customer in a pleasant way. Then most of potential customers will switch to our stores.Part FiveThe Fund Needed to Carry Out the MeasuresThe estimated costs for the measures are summarized below:Training staff 5, 0000£Rebuild department store& 12,0000£Set up new storesExpanding foreign retail chains 8,0000£Part Six Conclusions and RecommendationsAlthough problems exist, great business potential is waiting to be exploited. We have calculated that all the measures should bring an increase in profits by 23% in three months. Under a improved service concept and create a more comfortable shopping environment, Harrods can remain high in profitability and offset the threats. The Office has worked out three recommendations:·Set up a committee (composed of store’s managers, customer representatives and government staff) to monitor the service. ·Carry out training for the store’s staff and managers.·Advertise the feature changes of the store on the local news papers.Part Seven Supplementary PartsAppendixQUESTIONNAIRE OF THE HARRODS’GOODS AND SERVICES This questionnaire is designed for Harrods department store’s problems and future improvement on its goods and services. SubjectThe Market Outlook Survey Report of the Valentino Company IntroductionThis report aims to review the market prospects of Valentino Chocolates FindingsBackgroundValentino chocolates are made in Italy. Company based in Turin - Chocolate capital of Italy, each chocolate master have a secret of chocolate making, passed down from generation to generation. They are well known as high quality product with a delicious and indescribable taste. Some of the V alentino’s chocolate manufacturers have won many international awards. In the recent years, the Valentino Company expanded fast. But they are faced with a serious problem that their sales growth has slowed down and have caused a fall in profits. However, in the last two years, the company has emerged some problems. As Italy is very famous for it’s chocolate, a long with such famous brands as Ferrero, Kaffarel, Sterelo, in this country there are numerous of handicraft chocolate production. So the business struggle in the Italian chocolate market is very high. It is a main reason that prevent the expansion of the company. Thus the most necessary investment option for Valentino chocolates is finance a market survey and research trips to another country like China. Valentino Chocolates can research the market and deduce potential consumers. There are still many people who do not know about Valentino Chocolates products. At least in China, most people do not know about Valentino Chocolates. This leads to a narrow distribution channels, and lower the income. So we should launch a marketing campaign to let them know about our chocolate. The machines are getting older, they should be changed in new ones. This leads to increased costs. So I think that purchase new machines will increase work ability of the factory. The new products, biscuits and cakes, are not selling well. The staff morale, They are becoming demotivated. ConclusionThis problem was a short-term problem. It can be solved by finance a marketsurvey and research trips to another country; launch a marketing campaign to let more people know about our chocolate.; change the old machine; making staff have a good morale.RecommendationsValentino Chocolates can research the market and deduce potential consumers then launch a marketing campaign to increase sales of all products, make more people know our products.Buy new machinery. It can helps us develop new products such as a low-fat chocolate drink, new biscuits or cakes, and satisfy customer's needs. And it can also increase motivation of the sales staff as well as making our company have a good morale. The future of Valentino Chocolates depends on finding new markets and new customers, and new products. Also I want to recommend company not only focus on chocolate production and develop in different directions. at first Valentino Chocolates must develop production of its Chocolates drinks, biscuits and cakes, and then in the future company must create and develop new sorts of products, it definitely will help to expand of the company. If the company done these, like Valentino company say, it will have a Bright Chocolate Future!。

At the same time, human resource development displayed in the process of caseanalyzing. The major problems in th is article are ‘what makes Toyota become the world first Auto manufacture?’ ‘What are the Toyota’s strategies?’ ‘The prospects of the Toyota’ and so on, the main purpose is to identify Toyota’s problems and shortcomings; and finally to find out the reasons caused these problems, in the end of the article, the author forward his own opinions and recommends for the Toyota’s developing.Introduction of the ToyotaToyota is Japan's largest car manufacturer, which was founded in 1933, and Toyota Company is headquartered in Toyota City. Initially is one of the Toyota Automatic Loom’s production departments. In 1937, Toyota merged into Toyota Motor Co., since then, Toyota established several related companies, including Toyota Machinery Co., Ltd. in1941, and Toyota Body Co. in 1945, In the 1960s and 1970s, Toyota's expansion rapidly, the vehicle volume even sold to foreign markets. And in 1982, the company obtained its present name-Toyota. Today, Toyota has assembly plants and distributors in many countries, the company also has the subsidiary which produce the motor vehicles line and the other parts, rubber and cork materials, steel, synthetic resin, automatic loom and the cotton wool and so on. (Arkadi B., 2021)Issues of the articleWith the economic globalization development, more and more automobile manufacturers appeared, followed by the more and more intense competitivepressure, in addition, global economics’ instability and uneven makes a great impact on the automotive industries’ development. Economic depression and rising costs of raw materials and labor, competition in the automotive industry is also growing, and so on. All these questions caused every company must reposition its self, recreate the developing strategy.SWOT analysis of ToyotaInternal environmentStrengths: in research and development sector, Toyota Company in order to be the leader in innovation way, it has continuously involved in research and development activities and uses this point as one of its strategies to stay in the market. The research and development activity done has been a success as Toyota is now able to produce a customer car in five days. In addition, Toyota is also able to produce a commercially viable hybrid car, with this two newly found strategies, Toyota has continued to revolutionize the auto industry. (Y. Arayici, P. Coates, , 2021)In Toyota’s management process, with Toyota’s production system (TPS), all work are done according to schedule, employees follow a well-defined sequence of steps for a particular job, this shows that every employee follows he rules and this reflects that Toyota’s management team has done a good job in managing the employees. Welltrained employees are more committedto their jobs and indirectly, it will help to boost the production volume. (João-P. B., 2021)Weaknesses: in year 2021-2021, the global financial crisis bring a great impact to Toyota’s sales income, with the weak and slow-moving economic around the world, hardly enable for Toyota to abstain a higher profit-margin as to compared to recent years, the closing of some of its plants in China proves that Toyota’s financial or liquidity state unable to support its explanation of production in other countries like China. Therefore, it would be a weakness for Toyota during the global economic crisis whereby losses of closing its plant and the cost of construction shall be bared by Toyota which naturally caused the corporation’s liquidity to fall. . Breja, . Banwet, 2021) External environmentOpportunities: before Toyota takes on any strategies, Toyota must take the effort to understand the role played by the scientific process in its culture, Toyota took one step further to evaluate its problem-solving process. Toyota makes itself fully understand its current state of affairs and also the norms before planning for improvements, this is important, and needed to be done beforehand because by implementing the wrong plan or plan that contradicts, with the culture of either party (the company itself or the market), the market may be turned off and lose interest as well as confidence towards Toyota. (Donna A., 2021)With the advancement of technology, the pathway of Toyota’s product and services has become simpler and simpler. Technology has enable Toyota to have more use-friendly machines which in turn benefits the production line at Toyota, production line in Toyota can be set up so easily in now days, and has nor fail to follow the specified path, indirectly, it will boost the efficiency level in production department, and thus, more products can be produced in the same period as the time before more advanced machines were brought in. (Chuck W., 2021)Threats: Looking at the buying pattern of today’s people, this kind of consumption becomes more and more less, and this is due to the current situation faced by people during recession. At this point of time where economy is not doing quite well though improving, people tend to save more money for rainy days. (Patrick V., Stijn H., 2021) As a result, people send lesson their wants, Toyota should fell the impact of session because people now spend less and they are not willing to spend thousands of money just buy a car when they already have one. As an effect, Toyota’s sales figure will drop while all other fixed cost such as utilities expenses, floor rent, etc. are needed to be paid, if this is to be continue for a long time, most of the Toyota’s factories may be closed down. (Nabyla D., 2021)RecommendationAs the largest automobile manufacturing company, Toyota attracted in the world-wide attention, Toyota’s any decision may become the focus, no matter the strengths, weaknesses or the opportunities and threats, Toyota was staring at by the medias all over the world, because Toyota is the first. (Marios I. K., 2021) To continuous maintain the first position is a big challenge for the company itself, increasing cost of raw materials and workers, emerging new technologies, Increasing competitors and so on, all these lead the first position is not forever. So, to keep the first position in a longer time, what Toyota has to do is innovation, not only in human resource sector, but also in operation and information selection.ConclusionThe case lead the author detailed analysis of the company's strengths and weaknesses, and its faced opportunities and threats, highlight the opportunities and threats that for Toyota’s further development, in the end, the author forward his own opinion for Toyota, that is implement the talents strategy and continuously innovation.ReferencesArkadi Borowski.
