其实每个艺术家在塑造人物形象时都会倾注进自己的情感,爱、恨、情、仇都有。

某一类型的异性形象其实就是艺术家本人所爱的:某女作家笔下多次提到高大英俊的男子如何如何,这种类型的男性无疑就是她喜欢的;古代男作家总是提到金莲小脚,说走起路来多么优雅好看,这样的金莲淑女无疑就是他喜爱的;一些现代男作家喜欢热情如火、激情奔放的女性,作品里当然会大加褒扬,一些现代男作家则喜欢文静温情的女性,对她们温柔似水的性情同样会细致刻画、称颂不已;有喜欢富态的,有喜欢苗条的,有喜欢带着女性特有的美丽女性味浓的,有喜欢脸上有点线条有些类似男性的俊俏女性的。

如果说一位画家、一位作家也象某位雕刻家一样迷上了自己塑造的人物,同样产生了皮格马力翁效应,应该说是比较正常的。

首先皮格马力翁效应不同于恋物癖,有恋物癖的人是迷上了某件东西,只因为这件东西能寄托他的一点多少变态的情感。

艺术家们的皮格马力翁效应是基于精神基础上的,是对自己塑造的精神上、形象上都美的异性形象产生了爱情:完完全全的“精神恋爱”,当然他所爱的形象是虚无缥缈的,是现实生活中根本不存在的,但她们是美的化身,是美的载体,是美的典型,这种完美的“精神恋爱”虽然只存在于想象之中,却对于现实中的爱情具有震撼力,它通过艺术家的作品给予人以启迪,给予人爱与美的照耀。

另外,在我看来皮格马力翁效应并不只存在于艺术家群体,不是艺术家的普通人们同样会有这样的效应,经过多年爱和美的熏陶,每个人在自己心中都有一个美的标准,每个人在自己心中都有一个具备多方美的特质的理想恋人,这就是说皮格马力翁效应对每一个人,每一分、每一秒都在进行中,这个宏大无比的美的塑造过程永远都在改造中,又永远不会终结。
