The Adventures of Tom Sawyer 汤姆索亚历险记_英文读后感
ThemesFriendshipChildren's friendships are at the center of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Tom's family —Aunt Polly, Mary, and Sid —does not always appreciate him and does not figure into his rich imaginative life. However, Tom's friends —Joe Harper and Huck Finn in particular — look up to him precisely because he is so imaginative and adventurous. The boys see each other as they want to be seen, and together they create an exciting world of intrigue(阴谋)and adventure. The friendship between Tom and Huck especially is highlighted in the novel. Tom admires Huck for his freedom from adults' rules, and he knows that his association with Huck makes him appear daring, an image he relishes. Tom also cares about Huck, concerned that he is alone in the world. When the boys return from their pirating adventure to attend their own funerals, Tom and Joe are smothered with affection by their families while Huck stands awkwardly alone, with no one to welcome him home. Tom points out to Aunt Polly that "it ain't fair. Somebody's got to be glad to see Huck." Tom and Huck share a deep belief in superstitions and a love of adventure, imagining themselves as pirates and robbers in partnership with one another. Tom is so loyal to Huck that herepeatedly disobeys Aunt Polly's orders not to play with Huck, and Tom proudly announces to the schoolmaster that he was late for school because he was playing with the forbidden Huck, even though he knows he will be punished for it. The boys often use dramatic conventions to represent their loyalty to one another. For example, after they secretly observe Injun Joe's murder of Dr. Robinson in the cemetery, Tom writes an oath that "they will keep mum about this and wish they may drop down dead in their tracks if they ever tell and Rot." Tom and Huck then sign the oath with their own blood.Because Tom is a child of the community, and thus assured of adult protection, he feels safe enough to testify against Injun Joe in Muff Potter's murder trial. But Tom keeps secret Huck's knowledge of the same situation, because Huck fears Injun Joe's retaliation and knows he is without serious protection. Huck and Tom's friendship rises above the social conventions of St. Petersburg. They are friends because each likes the other for who he is, and it matters little to either that their society frowns upon their friendship.ImaginationTom Sawyer's imagination rules his life and shapes his world. He takes every opportunity to make a game of life, embarking on suchromantic endeavors as digging for buried treasure or organizing his friends into a band of pirates with names like "the Black Avenger of the Spanish Main," "Huck Finn the Red-Handed," and "the Terror of the Seas." Perhaps not always completely original in their imaginings, Tom and his friends play Robin Hood by reciting dialogue that they have memorized from the book. Although he claims to reject many of the rules of the adult world, Tom has his own clear rules about how pirates must behave, what social class robbers must come from, and how certain superstitions work. His imaginings may free him from his rulebound world, but they often place him in another such world. His imaginative world and his "real" world — the mundane life of St. Petersburg — do not often collide. Yet when these two worlds do collide — such as when Tom and Huck witness the murder in the cemetery, and when Tom realizes how badly he hurt Aunt Polly when he ran away to play pirates, and when Tom and Becky's adventure in the cave turns life-threatening —Tom is able to understand the limits of imagination. In each case, Tom's empathy for another person —Muff Potter, Dr. Robinson, Aunt Polly, Becky —causes him to realize that he needs to stop pretending and deal with the situation at hand.Truth and FalsehoodThe first words Tom Sawyer speaks in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer are a lie. Aunt Polly is looking for Tom and shouting his name, and when she finds him hiding in the closet and asks him what he is doing, he replies, in an obvious lie, "Nothing." She points to the jam all over his mouth and hands and asks what it is, and he replies, "I don't know, aunt," another obvious lie. Tom is thus introduced as a mischievous boy who gets into trouble, although Aunt Polly's laughter upon Tom's escape from her disapproval shows that his lies and disobedience are essentially unimportant to her. Tom lies frequently throughout the novel, mostly about where he's been or what he's been doing, and mostly to avoid getting into trouble. However, when telling the truth really matters, Tom knows he must not lie. When he first returns home after his pirating adventure, he feels bad about having hurt Aunt Polly by scaring her with his long absence, so he lies to her about having had a dream about her when he was away on his pirating adventure. When she later discovers that the story of the dream had all been a lie, Tom realizes that "what had seemed like a good joke before, and very ingenious merely looked mean and shabby now." His conscience prods him finally to tell her the truth of what really happened. But this time, Aunt Polly doesn't believe him, and she refuses to until she finds the piece of bark in his jacket pocket with the note to her on itthat he had said he had written. Tom's conscience again leads him to tell the truth when he decides he must help Muff Potter. Because he cannot in good conscience let Potter be convicted of Dr. Robinson's murder, Tom decides to be a witness at Potter's murder trial, even though he knows by doing so he places himself in some danger with Injun Joe. In spite of the ease with which lying comes to him, Tom's conscience and his ability to tell the truth when he should place him in stark contrast to Injun Joe. Injun Joe, a man without a conscience and thus capable of evil, lies and misrepresents himself for the purpose of personal gain.。

《汤姆索亚历险记》英文版读后感today, i was read the book which called “the adventures of tom sawyer.” this story is about a clever boy called tom sawyer.this book describes the nineteenth century, the mississippi river in a small town people's lives, it can be said at the time the united states are a microcosm of social life. small characters tom sawyer and his junior partner and seriously childish words and deeds can give us deep insight. they hate priests pack of lies, and do not like boring school of education and decently adults, and children a rival show. they smart and lively , integrity and courage, especially insome major events happened when, in a battle between justice and evil, in the moment of crisis comes, they will not hesitate to come forward.i think tom sawyer is a brave boy. he always gives his friends courage in danger and he tries his best to help other people.of course we know, tom is a very naughty boy, and his aunt polly is often angry with him. but i think he also is a good boy. he always can make other people happy.people always grow, besides height, body has grown stronger, and people’s thoughts are long. your view on the world is different, sensible, and no longer childish. but people are getting better.don't like the adventures of the ruthless villains, and his quest do bad, people see people hate. but at last he still las toman, got a starved to death in the cave.after reading the "adventures of tom sawyer," i really envy tom to have such an interesting experience. it seems this book with relish, and even sleepless nights.in my heart, i respect tom. maybe he is a hero. and i think i should learn something from tom sawyer.篇二:汤姆索亚历险记读后感英文版At first glance, there are children joy works and many funny plots. But read carefully Mark Twain's works are more realisticand truly reflects the United States from free competition to monopoly ofimperialism period of the social life. The theme is extensive, or against racialdiscrimination, or irony, vulgar, boring or criticized the hypocrisy of the bourgeoisie, or expose the imperialist ambitions. They are both of the author's childhood nostalgia and remembrance,it is also reflect thehistory of the United States social, record and criticizing the social moral. As the author said, they are written for adults.Because of the real life ,the author can't find the ideal,he put attention to the pre-war childhood living in the world. He abound poetic description and romantic style, depicting the lives of children in fun. The author ingeniously the innocent and lively children's psychology with the ordinary citizen to compare the vulgar conservative life highlights the lifeless life. Make the children feel disgust and false of the religious ceremony, inflexible and stale school life education system. The hero Tom to get rid of the bondage of reality and the pursuit of freedom of heaven and earth, going to make a variety of "adventure". He lively, clever, full of fantasy and sense of justice... All of these are inconsistent with the capitalism life of that time, and not to be permitted by secular moral precepts and church. The two novels are based on the Mississippi River as the storybackground, the Mississippi River town is a microcosm of the entire United States. The works reflect the 19th century the various ills of American society, the disparity between the rich and the poor, urban and rural areas, in jinyuan empire behind the gilded age, hiddenshocking poverty and backwardness.BUT there aredifference between the two works. Tom Sawyer peculiar to the full performance of childhood joy, fear, the pursuit of stimulation, the characteristics ofpersonality on the freedom of children's naive, lively, made a verydetailed description, language vivid, lifelike, is a novel in the true sense of pure children not many drab moralizing implied meaning is simple. "Huckleberry ? huckleberry Finn" is the theme of the more profound, mainly in the United States of racial discrimination andracial oppression, criticizing the southern plantation owners of black slaves brutal persecution and inhumane treatment.篇三:汤姆索亚历险记英文读后感Once Read, Forever Gained------Reading Report of The Adventures of Tom SawyerLook! There comes a wild boy, who is so dirty, so naughty and full of cunning ideas in his small head. Out of question, this is Tom Sawyer, one of Mark Twain’s famous characters. It was in my junior middle school that I read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer in Chinese version for the first time, which gave me a deep impression. Tom is dirty but honest and sympathetic as he dreams of being a swordsman and struggle his whole life for justice. Tom is naughty but he is brave enough to expose that wicked Injun. Tom is full of cunning ideas but active and smart. We can see that Tom show it so interesting to paint the wall on purpose because he wanted someone to replace him. But the result was that other kids were willing to help him and even give Tom presents. How clever he is! Absorbed in the story at that time, I have totally admired this little hero Tom Sawyer, such a simple, courageous and positive guy who certainly can be my model except his excessive naughtiness which gave others especially Aunt Polly headache.I won’t forget the second time when I read this book. Just half a year ago, the grade of college entrance examination saddened me. The shadow didn’t disappear until I came across this book in my shelf while I was arranging my books. I counted myself fortunate tomake such a correct decision to read it again, which benefited me a lot. I was surprised to realize that Tom is an orphan, which was ignored by me before. Without paternal affection and maternal love, Tom canstill lead a joyful life. How could I drown myself in sorrow as I am surrounded by my parents’ love? Tom disliked the boring le ssons so he tried to get rid of the tame school life? Such a little boy is able to pursue a free life that he likes, why am I so stupid to be struck down by a grade, just a grade? Trapped in the cave, Tom behaved so bravely and calmly that I have to give h im thumbs up. It’s an amazing thingthat it was a book that sent me back to sunny days. “The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it. ” Now, I see it.So now I read the The Adventures of Tom Sawyer for the third time, but in English version this time. Gain again! The story seems to be purer in English so I am abstracted by Tom’s innocence. We can’t find out such lovely innocence out of childhood. What are left are justpiecemeal memories. Like a bottle of champagne, childhood will be aromatic with memories as time goes by. At this time, I want to give some literary comments as a university student. We have to mention the realism and romanticism at the mere mention of Mark Twain. He gave us a fantasy story with a child’s sight in this novel. M ark Twain showed us the realism by illustrating the life people live in thesmall town and satires bourgeoisie’s vulgarity and greed, the hypocrisy of children’s education, the morality and religion. On the other hand, he also described Tom and his fello ws’ pursuing the legendary, adventurous, romantic and happy life to express the beautiful hope to life and dream. The novel is filled with true portrayal of realism as well as the emotional expression of romanticism. It perfectly combines his artistic styles of realism and ideal romanticism.A good book is just like an ore, which you can gain something valuable whenever you mire. Once read, you could gain it forever.。

This is definitely a book everyone can relate to.The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a literary masterpieces, written in 1876 by the famous author Mark Twain. T om Sawyer is a mischievous young boy who lives in the small town on the Mississippi River called St. Petersburg. The story line is simple, the book reads like a biography or a memoir of a summer in T om Sawyer's life.Tom Sawyer seems to be the precursor of and the template for misfit kids such as Dennis the Menace, Malcolm in the Middle, and Calvin and Hobbs. What makes this story great is that Tom Sawyer represents everything that is great about childhood. The book is filled with Tom's adventures playing pirates and war with his friend Joe Harper. The book is filled with ideas of how the world works, such as how pirates and robbers work, that are so innocent, they could only come from a child. The whole story is seemingly a complication of what people did or wish they did during their childhood. The book is a little difficult to read at first. Personally, it takes me a little while to get used to the 19th century dialect in the book. Other than referring to persons of African decent in derogatory terms (which I'm sure uses terms even young children already know), the book would be an enjoyable read for people of all ages. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to feel young again, if just for a few hundred pages.我相信的因素之一,使文学作品,甚至电影杰作是读者与故事。

《汤姆索亚历险记》英文读后感
《汤姆索亚历险记》英文读后感【篇一】《汤姆索亚历险记》英文读后感The Magic of Tom Sawyer The discovery of Tom Sawyer in a Chinese textbook really came as a shock for me. I ran across the report on this novel by a Grade Six boy when I was tutoring him English. The little boy had been required to write this report after the Chinese class. Young as he was, he had made several remarkable comments in his homework among which was his advocate for Chinese students to have an adventure life as Tom had. However, at the end of his book review he came to pity himself and his peers a little bit , saying that such a desire could hardly be achieved, given the fact that they have lots of homework and examinations to finish and in the meantime their parents won’t allow them such a risk. As well as shocked, I was in a sudden choke of shame. If my memory works properly, it was not until the sophomore year that I first read this book which was unexpectedly gained as a trophy in the First Interpretation Contest. To make things worse, I skimmed and scanned this amazing novel, as a result of which I could not figure out the right sequence of the events, let alone a deep reflection on the theme. I felt that I had lagged behind. It took me quite some time to survive this shock as well as shame. And when I eventually get over it, another thing struck my mind----why did the compliers include Tom Sawyer as a text in primary school textbook. Is it simply because the book entertains school childrens’ curiosity, since it depicts life of some black children? Or, is it an effort to equip our children with some foreign literature since it is for the moment the trend?…Questions like such haunted my mind so much that I felt it an obligation to reread the book in detail. The answers gradually surfaced themselves as I proceed the reading and I found myself o n the compiler’s side. The style of Mark Twain’s writing aswell as the personal traits of its protagonist, Tom Sawyer ,has combined to create the magic of this adventure novel, and for short I will name it "magic of Tom". Mark Twain’s unique language fasc inated me in the first place. This novel features the frequent use of the conversational rule of Black English----Double negatives make a negative, which constantly reminded me that this is about black Americans and nothing else. Mark Twain was also skillful with the emloyment of contracted forms which is quite common in black oral English. These two together creates a lifelike scenarios for Tom and the reader came to perceive Tom and his deeds through his identity both as a black and a child. I think this is the very reason that Mark Twain has been elevated off other writers. He tells about truth and he tells about real life. He involves the life of black Americans into his book, and shows the world that everyone has a role to play on the stage of life.Tom has. Huck has. And so do many others. No matter how many scandlous charges were brought against him for this matter, no one can deny his outstandingness and unique perception. Tom Sawyer is of Mark Twain style in another aspect, that is the author’s attent ion to the interaction between him and his readers. Different from other writers, Mark Twain bore in his mind to giving some of his own opinions on the events which would lead his readers for better understanding. Thus the reader would hardly forget where has the story comes to and why certain events would occur. Readers seldom find themselves alone in the reading, but rather they have Mark for company, who would share with them some humors. Well, it’s high time for me to elaborate about the protagonist, Tom Sawyer. This is a extremely mischievous boy. In the eyes of his village folks, he is nothing but a trouble-maker. He fights and swears and hates to go to church. Even aunt Polly, his blood-kin, would not want him around in her house. I bet many a Chineseadult would have no fondness for such a boy and if anything, try to keep him as far away as possible from their own children. However, my readers, I would like to remind you in advance that you should not judge a boy by his appearance, especially in the case of Tom. This little boy is not that simple as he seems. There is a wisdom in his mischievousness. To understand Tom, you have got to dig deeper. A reader myself, I have noticed 4 important traits of Tom that I believe has contributed to his magic. Firstly, Tom knows far too well how people think. Remember how Tom got Rodgers Ben paint the fence for him? When Ben teased"Hi-yi! You’re up a stump, ain’t you?", Tom gave no answer. But rather he"surveyed his last touch with the eye of an artist, then he gave his brush another gentle sweep and surveyed the result, as before." "Tom swept his brush daintily back and forth—stepped bach to note the effect—added a touch here and there—critized the effect again."This concentratedness and enjoyfulness on the part of Tom made Ben water for the painting work. Yet he would not confer THIS xxxxEGE to Ben so easily. He continued to make Ben itch for it. "Aunt polly’s awful particular about this fence—right here on the street, you know—but if it was the back fence I wouldn’t mind and she wouldn’t. I reckon there ain’t one boy in athousand, maybe two thousand, that can do it the way it’s going to be." "Jim wanted do it, but she wouldn’t let him; Sid wanted to do it, and she wouldn’t let Sid. Now don’t you see how I’m fixed…"Ho wever, for Tom the right time had not come and there was still more to be expected. Ben indeed bite the hook. He offered to xxxxE for it. And all the children in St. Petersburg bite the hook. They got the xxxxGE of painting the fence at the expense of going "bankrupt" with their playthings. And Tom, the "retired" artist got his fence painted three times and lots of company and also lots of trifle playthings. Traditionally, the aggressive male children wouldresort to fist to get their peers on their own agenda. But it was not the case with Tom. He knew the mind-set of the boys ---"in order to get a man or a boy convet a thing, it’s only necessary to make the thing difficult to attain." Bearing this in mind, there is no doubt that he could succeding in cheating his peers. Not only the children but also the adult cannot survive Tom’s wisdom. Remember how our pirates returned from Jackson’s island? " There was a rustle in the gallery, which nobody noticed; a moment later the church door creaked; the minister rai sed his streaming eyes… the congregation rose and stared while the three dead boys came marching up the aisle…"(Chapter 18) Scaring and somewhat astonishing, right? Why didn’t these boys return earlier since they had been grief homesick and relief their families who had been repenting for the loss of them? Perhaps many adults may condemn them as being naughty and ungrateful. But, consider it for a moment and you will find that this is again a strategy of Tom’s. A funeral is a solemn occasion sybolizing the mortal end of a person. grief and praying has apparently been the theme for Aunt Polly and the villegers. The sudden revival of the begoners would surely makes them cherish them all the more. Under such circumastances, Tom would surely save himself scoldness and punishment and by the way, elevate him to the-apple-of-the eye position for the moment. That would sound kind of ironic for the adults since they had been fooled with by these three boys. But sorry, he is Tom and you cannot readily prepare for it. S econd, Tom’s courage for starting an adventure life. Rebelling seems to have been deeply rooted in American literature, and we can also find this quality in Tom. He hated Sunday school. He hated going to the church and being tortured by the miniser’s preac hing. He hated being misunderstood by Aunt Polly… He hated his life in St. Petersburg. He had desperately wanted to break away from the old lifetogether with its traditions, authority and misunderstanding.Yet being rebelling is not enough for an adventure career. It’s the courage to get started that matters. Tom has it. He dares to seperate himself from the protection (though very little) of anut Polly. He dares to confront all the risks (get lost or even get killed) of the would-be life. Third, the boy’s ability to manage the personnel. To succeed a pirate career, Tom knew far better that he cannot make it alone. To begin with, he had to find his partner. See who he had included in this pirate group? It’s Joe Harper and Huckleberry Fin. Why did Tom chose them and nobody else? The truth is as follows. Joe had just been whipped by his mother for drinking some cream while he had never tasted. He had firmly believed that she was tired of him and wished him to go. Any children want to be loved and any denial of love would bring them suffering. Defintely, Joe wants to break away from this suffering and living a pirate life is a pretty good way out. And Huck. He was an orphen and "don’t even get enough to eat". To be a pirate or not makes no difference to Huck. Four th, Tom’s his knowledge about Adventure. As for where they should go for treasures, Tom gave his opinion--- "It’s hid in mighty paticular places, somethimes on islands, sometimes in rotten chests under the end of a limb of an old dead tree, just where the shadow falls at midnight, but most under the floor in haunted huses." Tom also gave his reasons why treasures could be found in the haunted houses---"They most always put in a dead man when they bury a treasure under a tree, to look out for it." While reading this part, I had been wondering whether they could succeed. The thing is that they made it because Injun Joe really had hid the treaures in the haunted house. I couldn’t give them a big round of applouse. Another case in point is his adventure with Becky in the cave. They had got lost and were in a dire need to find the way out. See what Tom haddone---"He made a smoke—mark for future guidance and started upon their quest" "He took a kite line from his pocket, tied it to a projection…" How calm and clev er is our hero! I think his background knowledge about adventure has, to a large extent, contributed to his success. At this point, the compilers’ intentions seemed comletely clear to me. Tom Sawyer is introduced to China neither for fun nor for fashion only, it is an effort of our government to educate our children in a brand new style. Chinese children have long been consumed in the textbooks and they as a whole lack the spirit of exploring which is vital to their further study and career. Tom Sawyer, with its irresistable magic, serves as a guide to invoke the courage and ability to take adventure in children. Mark Twain had it right when he said, "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you di d do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." It’s high time for Chinese parents set their children from their bay of excessive protection and allowed them freedom to strive on their own. I had not expected that I would write so much about this novel. Yet I did. Well, Tom’s magic probably had worked.【篇二】《汤姆索亚历险记》英文读后感I believe that one of the factors that makes a piece of literature or even a movie a masterpiece is how well the reader can relate to the story. He never lacked the curiosity to explore new places, sometimes even risking his life, which I did not dare to! There were some great adventures of him with Huck or Joe. Huck was an orphan, and Joe was Tom’s classmate. Everybody in the small village knew Tom, mainly for Tom’s—you know kind of gallantry! I should tell you the adventures. The origin of the attempt was that Tom and Huck was getting curious to the world of outside, and they made an effort to run-away. However, when they were in the graveyard, some people appeared. They were Injun Joe, Huc k’s father, named Potter, and a doctor. Tom and Huck quickly hid behind the bush, and they saw them digging the coffins out, probably finding something valuable. They did not realize that what they witnessed was a murder! Tom and Huck were extremely afraid, and they ran away rapidly. On the court, Potter was being accused of the murderer; however, Tom declared that it was Injun Joe who used Potter’s knife to kill the young doctor. On hearing this, Injun Joe broke the glass and ran away! This scared everybod y, and Tom’s brother, Sid, said that he always heard Tom mumbling something when he was asleep, and sometimes even shouting. Indeed, the accident was fluttering everybody in the town with fear. Before, Tom once fell in love with a girl called Lawrence. And he showed off in front of the girl, trying to win the girl’s heart, but Lawrence ignored Tom’s appearance, and it made Tom sad. At present, Tom went for another girl for Becky. Yet, when Becky knew that Tom once loved Lawrence (it was probably childish thoughts), she refused Tom. Tom got so depressed that he resolutely committed the second escape. He made contact with Huck and Joe that afternoon, about where to meet, the code words of meeting, and the route, and so on and so forth. Each of them brought some food, and Huck brought some pipes (remind that Huck had no real home, and I had no ideas where he got the things). At midnight, they met at the place, and they took a raft down the river. After drifting for about several hours, they finally reached the destiny. There they lived for about several weeks, and while everybody thought they were drowned, they had a great time. They were no problems of food or water shortages. They promised to be a pirate, and would live there forever. If you were out from your relatives for a long time, wouldn’t you miss home? It was the same for those children. After several weeks, Joe felt that he missed home very much, and Tom could not seem to stop him. On this, Tom brought Joe and Huck his secret— On one night, when the rest of the boys fellasleep (of course they slept outside), Tom crept from the camp, and headed toward the town. He sneaked to his aunt’s room, and hid under the bed, while everybody- Mary (Tom’s sister), Sid, Aunt Polly and Joe Harper’s mother were having a meeting. There were a lot of tears, about how the boys were killed, and how they would treat the boys if they ever lived again, such things. Tom almost wanted to get out of the bed and hug Aunt Polly, but he couldn’t. At last, everybody went to sleep. Tom went out from the bed, and flew to the camp. That was the secret—that the boys will go to their own funeral! While the boys were outside, all of the people in the town were discussing about the accidents. The town was immediately covered with a sense of doom. So the funeral was raised. Everybody wore a black suit, and they prayed something along with the priest. Just then, they saw somebody entering the gate, and what they saw was unbelievable. Three young souls came out from their coffins and showed up in front of everybody! The change of the atmosphere was imaginable. Aunt Polly, Joe Harper’s mother, Mary and Sid were astounded to find that Tom came so vivid in front of them, and so Tom and Joe became a hero in the school, even in the town. The real adventures of Tom were finding the treasures.《汤姆索亚历险记》英文读后感。

Recently, I have read a very interesting book, the Adventures of Tom Sawyer. And the companion volume is the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. This book described an American boy, Tom Sawyer’s fantastic adventure. The author of this novel is one of my favorite writers, Mark Twain, who was honored as “the literary giant” and was good at writing satirical novels. The reason that I enjoy Mark Twain’s composition is that he always brought me into a funny world by using very simple description but perfect writing skills and attractive story structures. Nevertheless, when I finished reading his words, I would think some deeper and serious things that he wanted to convey to us. The style of Mark Twain’s composition is humorous but actually very sharp, which exposed the weakness and the hypocrite of human nature and expressed his desiring for a perfect and ideal world. You don't know about me if you haven't read a book called the Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Mr. Mark Twain wrote the book and most of it is true. The heroin of this novel, Tom Sawyer, was a braveand active boy. But he got tired of his family, his school as well as the church. He was not satisfied with a hidebound life but dreamed of a free and venturesome life. This naughty but clever boy lost his parents since child. Thus he lived with his aunt who loved him very much. He always escaped from school, and played various games with his friends. He even fell in love with a girl and tried again and again to win her favor. One day, Tom and his friend Huck came across a murdering. An Indian Joe killed a doctor because of disagreement and imputed it to another partner Porter. The two young boys were extremely frightened and decided to keep the secret. But actually Tom was anxious all the time. After that, Tom had conflict with the girl, he leaved at home with Huck angrily and started their adventure. People in the town thought that they had died. When they held funeral for these boys, Tom and his friends appeared. Since then, Tom became hero in school, and reconciled with that girl. Soon, the court was about to judge that murder case. When everyone considered Porter as the murderer, Tom bravely exposed the true murderer Joe. But unfortunately, Joe ran away, so Tom was trapped into enormous anxiety. Once time, Tom met a partner of Joe in a haunted house. He heard that they would go to find treasure. Severaldays later, Tom went to a picnic with his friends. But he and the girl Becky got lost in a cave. They had suffered from hunger, thirsty, darkness and coldness for days in that cave. Worse still, they found that Indian Joe also in that cave. This time, all the town folk believed that they must have die. Especially Tom’ aunt and Thatcher were in deep sorrow. Beyond people’ expectation, Tom and Becky found the way, and was sent to their home by others. And because of this accident, the cave was sealed. When Tom heard that, he told the judge that Joe was still stay at that cave. When the judge fetched someone to check it, Joe had died in the cave. Then, Tom and Huck got into that cave again, and found the treasure that Joe and his partner were finding. Tom got a happy ending, he became a rich man and was popular in his town. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a clear reflection of the child's life is full of Children's novels. I have to say that clever Tom reminded me of my childhood. We always lost something as we grow up and gradually got lost in our life. A child would not tell lies to other, a child would speak out their feelings without hesitation, a child would care too much about other’s opinions, and a child would bravely do what they wanted. Likewise, in that time, peoplewere pretty reserve, and they did not dare to tell their own ideas, neither fight against the tradition. But Tom was brave. He challenged the tradition. He never restricted himself into school or homework like other child, he loved adventure and different challenges instead. He exposed the true murderer even though he might be dangerous. So the author Mark Twain designed a good ending for Tom.It was Mark Twain’s humor that attracted me most. But there was not only humor, people who read his books would learn something serious. He told us: tell the truth forever, such of words you need not record you to once say somewhat. Someone said that Mark Twain gave pleasure-real intellectual enjoyment to millions, and his work will continue to give such pleasure to millions yet to come. His humor was American, but he was nearly as much appreciated by Englishmen and people of other countries as by his own countrymen. He has made an enduring part of American literature. In a word, I gained much from this fantastic novel, and learned a lot from Tom Sawyer. And I believe that these harvests will have great effects on my whole life.汤姆索亚历险记读后感英文版第2篇I believe that one of the factors that makes a piece of literature or even a movie a masterpiece is how well the reader can relate to the story. There comes a wild boy, who is so dirty, so naughty and full of cunning ideas in his small head. Out of question, this is Tom Sawyer, one of Mark Twain’s famous characters. It was in my junior middle school that I read The Adventuresof Tom Sawyer in Chinese version for the first time, which gave me a deep impression. Just halfa year ago, the grade of college entrance examination saddened me. The shadow didn’t disappear until I came across this book in my shelf while I was arranging my books. I counted myself fortunate tomake such a correct decision to read it again, which benefited me a lot. I was surprised to realize that Tom is an orphan, which was ignored by me before. Without paternal affection and maternallove, Tom can still lead a joyful life. How could I drown myself in sorrow as I am surrounded by my parents’ love? Tom disliked the boring lessons so he tried to get rid of the tame school life? Such a little boy is able to pursue a free life that he likes, why am I so stupid to be struck down by a grade, just a grade? Trapped in the cave, Tom behaved so bravely and calmly that I have to give him thumbs up. It’s an amazing thing that it was a book that sent me back to sunny days. What are left are just piecemeal memories. Like a bottle of champagne, childhood will be aromatic with memories as time goes by. At this time, I want to give some literary comments as a university student. We have to mention the realism and romanticism at the mere mention of Mark Twain. He gave us a fantasy story with a child’s sight in this novel. Mark Twain showed us the realism by illustrating the life people live in thesmall town and satires bourgeoisie’s vulgarity and greed, the hypocrisy of children’s education, the morality and religion. On the other hand, he also described Tom and his fellows’ pursuing the legendary, adventurous, romantic and happy life to express the beautiful hope to life and dream. The novel is filled with true portrayal of realism as well as the emotional expression of romanticism. It perfectly combines his artistic styles of realism and ideal romanticism.A good book is just like an ore, which you can gain something valuable whenever you mire. Once read, you could gain it forever. 汤姆索亚历险记读后感英文版第6篇Tom Sawyer is a cunning, playful boy. He seems to be a showoff and likes to show his authority over other boys. He is around twelve years old as gathered from hints in Twain"s works. Tom is supposed to represent the carefree and wonderful world of boyhood in the early-mid 1800s. His best friends include Joe Harper and Huckleberry Finn. In The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Tom"s infatuation with Rebecca (alias Becky) Thatcher is apparent. In this way, Tom not only comfortable, leisureand suddenly gained a lot of gifts.Let me more impressive is the story of Tom and huck and Joe three people formed a team when the pirates fled to a desert island. In this adventure, he met with difficulties, but he didn't lose heart, don't give up, again and again to challenge difficulties bravely, until down with difficulty. After reading this book, I feel that we meet with difficulties don't get discouraged, and strive to insist on. Tom lives full of sunshine also tells us: as long as there is joy, have a dream, a dream can come true!汤姆索亚历险记读后感英文版第8篇Recently, I have read a very interesting book, the Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Nevertheless, when I finished readinghis words, I would think some deeper and serious things that he wanted to convey to us. The style of Mark Twain’s composition is humorous but actually very sharp, which exposed the weakness and the hypocrite of human nature and expressed his desiring for a perfect and ideal world. You dont know about me if you havent read a book called the Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Mr. Mark Twain wrote the book and most of it is true. The heroin of this novel, Tom Sawyer, was a brave and active boy. After that, Tom had conflict with the girl, he leaved at home with Huck angrily andstarted their adventure. Several days later, Tom went to a picnic with his friends. Then, Tom and Huck got into that cave again, and found the treasure that Joe and his partnerwere finding. Tom got a happy ending, he became a rich man and was popular in his town. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a clear reflection of the childs life is full of Childrens novels. I have to say that clever Tom reminded me of my childhood. We always lost something as we grow up and gradually got lost in our life. A child would not tell lies to other, a child would speak out their feelings without hesitation, a child would care too much about other’s opinions, and a child would bravely do what they wanted. Likewise, in that time, people were pretty reserve, and they did not dare to tell their own ideas, neither fight against the tradition. Someone said that Mark Twaingave pleasure—real intellectual enjoyment to millions, and his work will continue to give such pleasure to millions yet to come. His humor was American, but he was nearly as much appreciated by Englishmen and people of other countries as by his own countrymen. He has made an enduring part of American literature. In a word, I gained much from this fantastic novel, and learned a lot from Tom Sawyer. And I believe that these harvests will have great effects on my whole life.汤姆索亚历险记读后感英文版第9篇At first glance, there are children joy works and many funny plots. But read carefully Mark Twain's works are more realisticand truly reflects the United States from free competition to monopoly of imperialism period of the social life. As the author said, they are written foradults.Because of the real life ,the author can't find the ideal,he put attention to the pre-war childhood living in the world. The two novels are based on the Mississippi River as the story background, the Mississippi River town is a microcosm of the entire United States. The works reflect the 19th century the various ills of American society, the disparity between the rich and the poor, urban and rural areas, in jinyuan empire behind the gilded age, hiddenshocking poverty and backwardness.BUT there aredifferencebetween the two works. Tom Sawyer peculiar to the full performance of childhood joy, fear, the pursuit of stimulation, the characteristics of personality on the freedom of children's naive, lively, made a verydetailed description, language vivid, lifelike, is a novel in the true sense of pure children not many drab moralizing implied meaning is simple. "Huckleberry ? huckleberry Finn" is the theme of the more profound, mainly in the United States of racial discrimination and racial oppression, criticizing the southern plantation owners of black slaves brutal persecution and inhumane treatment.汤姆索亚历险记读后感英文版第10篇this winter holiday l read a book .the book name is the adventures of tom sawyer.the book's writer is mark twain.the book is talk about tom sawyer does not like school .he does not like work ,and he never wants to get out of bed in the morning.but he likes swimming and fishing, and having adventures with his friends.and he has a lot of adventures.but tom's adventures can be dangerous, too.one night in the graveyard he and huck finn see three men.who are they?and what arethey doing in the graveyard,in the middle of the night?then the boys see that one of the men is injun joe...tom and huck never forget that night.they are afraid of injun joe-and they are right to be afraid because injun joe is very quick with a knife.this story is very interesting and exciting.。

《汤姆索亚历险记》英文读后感|汤姆索亚历险记读后感英文300字《汤姆索亚历险记》英文读后感I believe that one of the factors that makes a piece of literature or even a movie a masterpiece is how well the reader can relate to the story. This is definitely a book everyone can relate to.The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a literary masterpieces, written in 1876 by the famous author Mark Twain. Tom Sawyer is a mischievous young boy who lives in the small town on the Mississippi River called St. Petersburg. The story line is simple, the book reads like a biography or a memoir of a summer in Tom Sawyer"s life.Tom Sawyer seems to be the precursor of and the template for misfit kids such as Dennis the Menace, Malcolm in the Middle, and Calvin and Hobbs. What makes this story great is that Tom Sawyer represents everything that is great about childhood. The book is filled with Tom"s adventures playing pirates and war with his friend Joe Harper. Tom has a trusted friend, Huck Finn, who fewof the adults approve of. The book is filled with ideas of how the world works, such as how pirates and robbers work, that are so innocent, they could only e from a child. It is a story filled with action, adventure, ingenious ideas, love, and schoolyard politics. The whole story is seemingly a plication of what people did or wish they did during their childhood. The book is a little difficult to read at first. Personally, it takes me a little while to get used to the 19th century dialect in the book. Other than referring to persons of African decent in derogatory terms (which I"m sure uses terms even young children already know), the book would be an enjoyable read for people of all ages. I highly remend this book for anyone looking to feel young again, if just for a few hundred pages.。

He never lacked the curiosity to explore new places, sometimes even risking his life, which I did not dare to! There were some great adventures of him with Huck or Joe. Huck was an orphan, and Joe was Tom’s classmate. Everybody in the small village knew Tom, mainly for Tom’s—you know kind of gallantry!I should tell you the adventures. The origin of the attempt was that Tom and Huck was getting curious to the world of outside, and they made an effort to run-away. However, when they were in the graveyard, some people appeared. Theywere Injun Joe, Huck’s father, named Potter, and a doctor. This scared everybody, and Tom’s brother, Sid, said that he always heard Tom mumbling something when he was asleep, and sometimes even shouting. Indeed, the accident was fluttering everybody in the town with fear. Before, Tom once fell in love with a girl called Lawrence. And he showed off in front of the girl, trying to win the girl’sheart, but Lawrence ignored Tom’s appearance, and it made Tom sad. At present, Tom went for another girl for Becky. Yet, when Becky knew that Tom once loved Lawrence ,she refused Tom. Tom got so depressed that he resolutely committed the second escape. He made contact with Huck and Joe that afternoon, about where to meet, the code words of meeting, and the route, and so on and so forth. Each of them brought some food, and Huck brought some pipes 。
