丝绸之路(the Silk Road)是指连接亚欧大陆(Asian Continent and European Continent)的一条古代商业贸易路线,因为中国的丝绸最初正是沿着这条道路进入到西方国家,所以欧洲的学者便将此道称作“丝绸之路”。现如今,虽然丝绸之路最初的意义已不复存在,但其沿途美妙的风景、丰富的地方文化也使其成为了世界上最为引人入胜的旅游目的地之一。在丝绸之路的中国段,每年就有成千上万的国外游客慕名而来。

The Silk Road refers to the ancient trade route connecting the Asian Continent and European Continent.Because China’s silk first reached the West along this road ,European scholars came to call it the “Silk

Road”.Although the initial significance of the Silk Road has already gone,the fascinating scenery and rich local cultures along the road make it one of the most attractive tourist destinations in today’s world.As for the part of the Silk Road in China,tens of thousands of tourists from both home and abroad are attracted by reputation each year.

京剧(Peking Opera)是中国的国剧。已经有200多年的历史。它不是土生土长的北京地方剧种,而是融合了诸多地方剧种的精髓,最后根据北京的语言特点演变而成。京剧是中国最高雅、表现力最强,因而也是最受欢迎的剧种。京剧还赢得了很多外国戏迷的青睐,被看做是东方艺术的杰出代表。相比较于西方歌剧,京剧对时间和空间的表现显得格外自由。

Peking Opera,China’s national opera,boasts a history of over 200 years,Instead of a local opera in Beijing,it combines the essence of numerous local operas in others parts of China.It is then formulated according to the language characteristics in Beijing.Peking Opera is widely recognized as the most exquisite,most expressive and therefore,most popular opera in China.It has also won a lot of overseas fans and is regarded as a defining representative of the oriental art. Compared with Western operas,Peking Opera is extremely free to express the change in time and space. 2010.6

中餐桌上最有特色的东西非筷子(Chopsticks)莫属。筷子在中国的餐饮文化中扮演着重要的角色。几千年以来,中国人一直视筷子为一种可以将食物从碗中送入口中最为简单、最为有效的工具。在全国各地,筷子的大小基本一样,但所用的材料却各不相同,包括竹子、木材、塑料等。虽然中国人一般都能随心所欲地用筷子夹起各种食物,但用筷子的方法也因人而异。

Chopsticks,without any doubt,are the most distinctive thing on the Chinese dining table.They play an important role in Chinese catering culture.For thousands of years,Chinese have always regarded chopsticks the simplest and most effective tool for transporting food from a bowl to the mouth.The size of chopsticks is basically the same throughout

China.Materials,however,are various,including bamboo,wood and

plastic.Although Chinese basically can pick up all kind of food very easily by chopsticks,the way they handle chopsticks varies from people to people. 2011.6

风筝制作(Kite-making)在中国有两千多年的历史。最早的风筝是木制的,形状像老鹰,叫木鹰。在汉朝(Han Dynasty),纸被用来代替木,出现了纸鹰。风筝的制作和飞行是中国的古老传统。在许多地方,人们放飞风筝以庆祝清明节,这是一传统祭祖和迎接春天到来的节日。今天,放风筝不仅是一种娱乐,还是一种令人愉快的锻炼。
