2019年中考真题英语分项汇编(一)【2019 •江西省中考】Everyone faces challenges in their life, but some are more important than others. Daniel Kish had serious problems with his eyes when he was born. And doctors took away both of his eyes before he was fourteen months old.Soon after, however, he started to do an amazing thing. He started to make clicking(咔塔) sounds with his tongue(舌头)to help him move around. Much like a bat(蝙幅), he now moves about using sonar(声呐). He is so good at it that he can ride a bicycle in traffic. He and his group, World Access for the Blind, teach others how to use sonar. In this interview with National Geographic, Kish explains how the process works. How does sonar work?"When I make a clicking sound, it makes sound waves. These waves reflect(反射) off surfaces all around and return to my ears. My brain then processes the sounds into images(图像). It’s like having a conversation with the environmentWhen you click, what do you see in your mind?"Each click is like a camera flash. I make a 3D image of the things around me for hundreds of feet in every direction."What is it like riding a bike using sonar?"It’s exciting and enjoyable but requires a lot of focus. I click up to two times per second,, much more than I usually do."Is it dangerous to move around the world in this way?"Much of the world lives in fear of things that we mostly imagine. One of my father’s friends, Bernie, was a rich businessman, who owned a large store in St. Paul.Every summer, when the first watermelons arrived, Bernie would call. Dad and I would go to Bernie’s place. We’d sit on the edge of the dock(码头), feet dangling(摇晃), and got ready for a big meal.Bernie would take his knife, cut our first watermelon, hand us both a big piece and sit down next to us. Then we’d bu ry our faces in watermelon, eating only the heart—the reddest, juiciest, firmest, sweetest, most seed-free part—and throw away the rest.Bernie was my father’s idea o f a rich man. the guest﹣host relationship(关系)in China is much different than in some western countries. It seems that they are not nice guests. And western guests sometimes look rude in the eyes of Chinese guests. In China, guests are almost like gods(上帝).Whenever I enter a Chinese person's home, there is always fruit on the table for me,and someone is quick to bring me a cup of tea or water. In the west, generally the guest is not a god.Acting according to(根据)the host's way of doing things is usual behavior for a guest. My wife's mother,a very kind elderly Chinese lady, doesn't smoke. When I see some of her guests smoking in her house,as a non﹣smoker,I feel unhappy.Usually I want to stop them directly(直接地),but I must realize that in China,to be a good host, she must not do that.In most North America homes,if you are a guest, and the hosts are not smokers, you should not smoke in their house. At the very least, you could ask,"Is it OK if I smoke?"But don't besurprised if the hosts say,"No,you can't smoke."In our culture,if you smoke in their home, you are a bad guest, but if they don't allow you to smoke in their house, they are not a rude host.Guests in China also have special habits. Some western people may not adapt to these habits very soon.Thankfully my wife is Chinese,so whenever we visit a Chinese family she tells me to buy them a gift. However, giving a gift to a host is not always necessary in my country. So,if you invite international guests to yourhome, don't be too surprised if they don't bring you a gift.In China, you probably won't need to change the guest﹣host relationship very much because 科普环保类AThere are an extremely large number of ants worldwide。

Each individual(个体的)ant hardly weighs anything, but put together they weigh roughly the same as all of mankind. They also live nearly everywhere, except on frozen mountain tops and around the poles。

For animals their size, ants have been astonishingly successful, largely due to their wonderful social behavior。

In colonies(群体)that range in size from a few hundred to tens of millions, they organize their lives with a clear division of labor.Even more amazing is how they achieve this level of organization。

Where we use sound and sight to communicate, ants depend primarily on pheromones(外激素),chemicals sent out by individuals and smelled or tasted by fellow members of their colony. When an ant finds food,it produces a pheromone that will lead others straight to where the food is.When an individual ant comes under attack or is dying,it sends out an alarm pheromone to warn the colony to prepare for a conflict as a defense unit。

2019年中考英语:阅读理解训练题(8)附答案第一篇(2019中考科普环保类选练)Satellites are an important part of our ordinary lives. For example, the information for weather forecasts is sent by satellite. Some satellites have cameras which take photographs of the Earth to show how clouds are moving. Satellites are also used to connect our international phone calls.Computer connections of the World Wide Web and Internet also use satellites. Many of our TV programs come to US through satellites. Airplane pilots also sometimes use a satellite to help them find their exact location. We use satellites to send television pictures from one part of the world to another. They are usually 35,880 kilometers above the equator. Sometimes we can see a satellite in the sky and it seems to stay in the same place. This is because it is moving around the world at 11,000 kilometers an hour—exactly the same speed that the earth rotates.A satellite must orbit the Earth with its antennae facing the earth. Sometimes, it moves away from its orbit,So there are little rockets on it which are used to put the satellite back in the right position. This usually happens about every five or six days.Space is not empty! Every week, more and more satellites are sent into space to orbit the Earth. A satellite usually works for about 10-12 years. Satellites which are broken are sometimes repaired by astronauts or sometimes brought back to Earth to be repaired. Often, very old or broken satellites are left in space to orbit the Earth for a very long time. This is very serious because some satellites use nuclear power and they can crash into each other.1.Which of the following is NOT done by satellites according to the passage?A. for Thursday;Mathematics,English,P.E…He thought about P.E.He knew that the pupils had P.E.twice a week;once on Monday, when they usually played games on the school field, and once on Thursday, when they did exercises in the gym.Mr Chen glanced round the office to find Mr Long.the rather strict P.E.teacher,but he was not there."I′d better have a chat with Long and David,"Mr Chen thought. The bell people usually walk away when someone is unkind to them.Marc Bekoff,a researcher at the University of Colorado, saw a female (母的)red fox do just that. The female fox was unhappy because a male(公的)fox played roughly(粗鲁地)with her. When she walked away, the male fox showed her that he wanted to play nicely. He lowered his head and rolled on his back. The female fox gave him another chance, and this thought that if he hid in the restroom,he couldride to New York without paying. But a passenger at the back of the bus saw him.She tapped (拍)the person in front of her on the shoulder and said,"There's a bum in the restroom.Tell the bus driver."That passenger tapped the person sitting in front of him." Tell the bus driverthere's bum in the restroom,"he said. The message was passed from person to person until it reached the front of the bus.But somewhere along the way,the message changed.By the time it reached the bus driver,it was not "There's a bum in the restroom"but"There's a bomb(炸弹)in the restroom."The driver pulled over to the side of the highway(高速公路)at once and called the police. When the police arrived, they told the passengers to get off the bus and stay far away. Then they closed the highway. That soon caused a 15﹣mile﹣long traffic jam. With the help of a dog,the police searched the bus for two hours.Of course, they found no bomb. Two similar﹣sounding English words also caused trouble for a man who wanted to fly from Los Angeles to Oakland,California. His problems began at the airport in Los Angeles. He thought he heard his flight announced,so he walked to the gate, showed his ticket, and got on the plane.Twenty minutes after take﹣off, the man began to worry.Oakland was north of Los Angeles, but the plane seemed to be heading west, and when he looked out his window all he could see was ocean."Is this plane going to Oakland?" he asked the flight attendant."No,she said."We're going to Auckland﹣Auckland,New Zealand."Because so many English words sound similar, misunderstandings among English﹣speaking people are not uncommon. Most misunderstandings are much less serious.Every day, people speaking English ask one another questions like these:"Did you say seventy or seventeen?""Did you say that you can come or that you can't?"Similar﹣sounding words can be especially confusing (混淆)for people who speak English as a second language. When a Korean woman who lives in the United States arrived at work one morning, her boss asked her,"Did you get a plate?""No…,"she answered, wondering what in the world he meant. She worked in an office. Why did the boss ask her about a plate? All day she wondered about her boss's strange question, but she was too embarrassed to ask him about it.At five o'clock, when she was getting ready to go home, her boss said,"Please be on time tomorrow. You were 15 minutes late this morning.""Sorry," she said."My car wouldn't start, and…" Suddenly she stopped talking and began to smile. Now she understood. Her boss hadn't asked her,"Did you get a plate?"He had asked her,"Did you get up late?"Auckland and Oakland."A plate"and"up late".When similar﹣sounding words causea misunderstanding, probably the best thing to do is just to laugh and learn from themistake.Of course, sometimes it's hard to laugh. The man who traveled to Auckland instead of Oakland didn't feel like laughing. But even that misunderstanding turned out all right in the end.The airline paid for the man's hotel room and meals in New Zealand and for his night back to California."Oh well,"the man later said."I always wanted to see New Zealand."A表示正确,B表示错误(1)A man got on the bus and hid in the bus restroom with a bomb.(2)The 15﹣mile﹣long traffic jam was caused by the man in the restroom.(3)The man who traveled to New Zealand actually wanted to fly to California(4)The boss of the Korean woman asked her if she had got a plate that day.(5)Misunderstandings happen sometimes because of the similar﹣sounding words.4.(5分)根据短文内容,将下面方框中的句子还原到文章当中,使短文内容完整.请将答案填写在答题卡指定位置.Time ManagementDo you ever wish you had more time?Everyone gets the same amount of time each day,But here are some ways to use those hours better. As a popular saying says,"Work smarter, not harder."The most important way to manage your time is to set priorities(优先权)(1)Also,consider whether or not they are urgent﹣if they need to be done right away.It can be easy to forget important tasks that aren't urgent,so make time for them.Decide ahead of time what you're going to do at certain times each day.Schedule times not only to meet people but also to do things alone. Then you can make sure every thing gets done.(2)Are you smarter in the morning, afternoon or evening?Schedule difficult tasks for times you feel good, saving easy ones for when you're tired.Write down what you need to do and when.I keep two to﹣do lists:one for the present tasks and one for larger projects Im working on.(3)And I don't get discouraged by looking at a long list of items I can't finish.I focus on the shorter list of each days tasks.(4)When someone wants to give you a task, think carefully. Is it reallyimportant enough to spend your precious(宝贵的)time on?Could someone else do it instead?(5)If you're in charge of running a meeting, keep it short.Reading articles or talking to friends online can also use up much of your time.Don't allow it.In the end, using time well is about making a good plan and sticking to it.A.Think about the time of day you work best.B.That way I can make sure I don't forget anything.C.Figure out (弄明白)which of your tasks is the most important.D.Often,managing time means saying no to things that aren't so important.E.Meetings also tend to be a waste of time,so avoid them whenever possible.5.(10分)研读广告,根据广告所提供的信息,对后面的问题简要作答.请将答案填写在答题卡指定位置.Notes:draw抛奖;entry form报名表;receipt收据;claim 认领(1)When is the last day to enter 2019年中考英语阅读理解专项训练及答案:小岛经历

2019年中考英语阅读理解专项训练及答案:小岛经历各位读友大家好,此文档由网络收集而来,欢迎您下载,谢谢I spent a lot of time making a large shelf for my cave. I found a big tree and chopped it down. This took three days. Then, I chopped off the branches. This took another two days. After that, I chopped the wood away from one side, and then from the other side. This took more than one month. Altogether it took forty-two days. In England, two men with a good saw could have made six of these shelves from that tree in half a day.I also spent a lot of time looking after my corn and rice crops. I had to protect them from wild animals and birds, so I made a fence around them. I shot some ofthe birds and hung them up near the corn. After that, all the other birds stayed away.I used one of the old swords I had taken from the ship to cut down the corn when it was ready. I was very proud of my corn and rice and worked hard to increase my crops. A few years later, I would have enough corn to make bread. I had to find a way to grind the corn into flour, but the rocks on the island were not hard enough. I finally discovered that a very hard piece of wood would do. I used some cloth to separate the meal from the husks. Not having anoven, I made some square pots with lids and covered them with hot ashes. This baked the dough, and I had bread! I made my cave bigger again to hold the corn and flour so that I could make bread whenever I needed to.I sometimes wondered how I could get to the land which was visible from the other side of the island. I went to the ship’s boat that was blown onto the beach in the shipwreck. However, I could not get it to the water. It was too heavy. I tried many different ways of doing it, but none of them were successful.各位读友大家好,此文档由网络收集而来,欢迎您下载,谢谢。

As he ran down the street, he saw a poor family.“I wish you a Happy New Year.” said Edward, as he was passing on. The man shook his head.“You are not from this country.” said Edward. The man again shook his head, for he could not understand or speak his language. But he pointed to his mouth and to the children shaking with cold, as if (好像) to say, “These little ones have had nothing to eat for a long time.”Edward quickly understood that these poor people were in trouble. There were wolves and bears, many different kinds of deer and large wild cows. There were less than four million people. They lived in small villages protected by wooden walls from the animals outside. All this has changed, of course. Now the population of the United Kingdom has increased to sixty-five million. Three-quarters of Britain is covered with fields, towns or cities. Although 25 percent of land is countryside, new methods of farming mean that there are fewer birds and small animals living in fields than ever before. The United Kingdom is one of the few countries in the world that does not have a large wild animal that eats meat. In Scotland there are only 400 wildcats, but these are much smaller than wolves. Some people would like to change things, however! Some organizations and writers say that Britain needs to become more natural again. They suggest that trees and plants that grew in the UK before towns and cities were built should be allowed to grow again. They even say that large wild animals which have not lived in the UK should be helped to return and live wild. They call this "rewilding".Not everyone agrees. In the last twenty years, over one million trees which at first grewin Scotland have been planted and there are plans for more, but wild animals? Some people ask if wolves will attack sheep or even humans. They are also angry that rewilding might mean an end to walking in the hills which so many people enjoy. So far there are no wolves or bears in Britain's forests, but soon there might be!11.What was the population of the UK thousands of years ago?A. About 25 million.B. Over 65 million.C. Paragraph 1B. Paragraph 2C. Paragraph 3D. Paragraph 414.What are some people against?A. Living closer to nature.B. Planting more and more trees.C. Helping large wild animals return.D.

Now they have found something new-hot cities! In the southern US, they have found that cities become very hot in summer. For example, the city of Atlanta in Georgia has rooftop temperatures of up to 50 degrees while it is 27 degrees in the streets! At night, the outsides of the building stay so hot that the heat of the city causes storm over the city.China also has the same kind of problems. Every year more farming land is used for factories or offices. More housing is needed, too. As people become richer, they buy more cars. Now roads are needed and new car parks are built in the city centers. This all makes the city hotter. It is not easy to change the situation. City planners say that we should plant more trees in the middle of cities. Every new street should have trees on both sides, they say. Trees make the temperatures lower, so we should have more trees in our parks and squares. Also we should paint our roofs white. If we do this, they do not become so hot. Every roof in a hot and sunny country should have solar roof panels. The electricity from these can be used to run the air conditioners in the building.People continue to cut down forests around the cities. This makes the problem worse. Cities are growing faster and faster. By the year 2025, 80% of the world’s population will be living in cities. In other words, they have more chances to choose a good job while people with little or no education don’t. It seems that the purpose of education is to make people ge t jobs. But this isn’t accepted by all people. Some people may think that a person should spend the best years of his life to get education only for a way of living. This was probably one of the earliest reasons of education. In fact, if education is just a way of making a living, people don’t need to spend so much time in school. People can get education for a living in a short time. Subjects like history and geography need not be taught to everyone. Even language and mathematics need not be taught in detail(详细地), either. Here it is clear that education is much more than teaching a man to get a way of living.Education is well-rounded and it is mainly for improving a man. It is not only to teach him to speak, read and write, but also to develop his creative thinking and other abilities. After that, it is to make him a wise man and thankfully enjoy the achievements of humans. Education is to make a man lead a better life. Educated people are expected to be able to listen to good music, read good books, watch plays and most of all take an interest in the world.I would agree that making a good living is an important reason for education, but certainly not the most important or the main reason.1. People with little education usually _______.A. spend a long time in schoolB. have a good chance to get a jobC. spend the best years to choose jobsD. have a smaller chance to get a good job2. However, the North and South Poles are not much alike as people may imagine. The North Pole has no land, only thick ice.Temperatures seldom go above32°F,at which water turns into ice. Most of the time,it stays below zero.In winter temperatures are usually as low as-30°F.Although conditions were very poor, people tried for many centuries to reach the North Pole.About100years ago,two men,Robert Peary and Mathew Henson, were able to get to this environment full of troubles and difficulties. They reached the North Pole on March 8th,1909.It was really a hard trip for them. There are few things more dangerous than crossing the Arctic(北极圈)on foot.People who stayed there may face many problems:very cold temperatures, sudden storms, and even hunger. The answer is penicillin(青霉素). It kills germs. By killing germs, it saves lives. Suppose you are sick. You go to a doctor. She examines you. She says you have a “staph” infection(葡萄球菌感染). She gives you some medicine. You take it. The medicine knocks out the staph. Soon you are well. Before penicillin, this would not happen. Staph was almost sure death.Everyone wanted a medicine. Laboratories worked day and night. They grew the staph in small dishes. Then they tried to kill it. Nothing worked. The laboratory dishes had covers on them. They kept things from falling into dishes. Molds(霉菌) were a big worry. They are always in the air. You can't see them. They're too small. There are thousands of different molds. Molds can make an experiment(实验) fail. There was a thick growth of staph germ. There was also some mold. Then he saw something strange. Where the mold was, there was no growth of staph. This is what Fleming probably thought. “Byaccident, I found a mold to kill the dreaded staph.”This is how penicillin was found. But here's the real miracle(奇迹). There are thousands of kinds of molds. But only one kind can kill staph. The mold must have fallen into the dish a few days before. The cover was probably off only a few seconds(秒). That's not something to be proud of, especially if you're sleeping so little and still failing to do all the things. Sleep isn't for the weak, but for the wise. Your brain needs enough rest. After a good night's sleep, you'll perform much better in the morning.Don't fear.Once the test paper is in front of you don't be afraid. Take a deep breath and start the exam with confidence(信心). How much time do you spend buying things? And how much time do you spend organizing these things in your home? In the future, how much time will you spend in movie theaters, at amusement parks, at shopping malls, or at convenience stores? When you add it all up,you will probably see you spend a lot of your life consuming(消费) things.Consuming products is not necessarily bad. However, if we spend too much time doing it, we should look at it carefully.Imagine that you have a week off from school. You don't have to go toclass. However, in this week, you cannot spend any money—no shopping,no movies,no eating out.How would you spend your time? What things would bring you happiness? Perhaps you would take a walk with your best friend.Perhaps you would help a child read.Or you might spend time with your family. When we look back,it is likely that non-consuming experiences like these will be our most important memories. Why? Non-consuming activities are active, not passive. They don't come in a package. You make the experience yourself. For example, each person who reads to a child will have a different experience. The experience changes with the reader, the child, and the book. Similarly, when you have a conversation with a friend, you are actively creating an experience. The conversation that you have with your friend cannot be experienced or recreated by anyone else. However,if you watch a movie with a friend, you will each have apackaged experience. It requires no action and little interaction between the two of you.The environment we live in encourages us to have packaged experiences. We feel that we must consume because we believe that buying is doing. However, we can start a personal revolution(变革) against consumerism. How? By consuming less.We can ask ourselves what experiences bring us the greatest satisfaction. Then we can organize our lives so that we have more of those kinds of experiences.1.If consuming products takes too much time, we should .A.spend less moneyB.think about it carefullyC.organize our thingsD.go to convenience stores2.According to the passage, the writer believes that .A.we can say no to consumerism by consuming lessB.buying things can bring us the greatest satisfactionC.the environment seldom influences our shopping choicesD.consuming experiences will be our most important memories3.What is the writer's main purpose in writing this passage?A.To introduce some ways of enjoying our spare time.B.To encourage people to have more active experiences.C.To explain reasons behind people's shopping behavior.D.To share his personal experience in consuming products.(十一)(2017·浙江丽水中考)Think of a simple object—a piece of chalk, for example. Are you remembering its name, its shape, its color or its size? Are you remembering what it is used for, or the sound it makes when the teacher writes on the blackboard? Scientists say that memory includes different parts of the brain, such as language and the ability of sense. They believe that you begin to create a memory when you notice something with your senses. Then, messages are sent to different brain cells, which join together to form connections. A new connection goes into your short-term memory. It is stored there for about 30 seconds, and then it is either lost or stored in your long-term memory.Having a good memory means making lots of connections and storing them in your long-term memory. To do this, you need to keep your brain in good shape.Eat plenty of brain food such as fish oil, fruit and ughter also makes your brain more active. Also, don't forget to exercise. So do some sports or just move around a lot in the house. Finally, get plenty of sleep. This will make your memories grow stronger. When you want to remember new information, you must pay special e your senses—sight, smell, hearing and touch—and keep repeating the information. To do well in your exams this year, turn off the TV,silence your mobile, and review your work regularly. To remember something special, use your imagination to create visual(视觉的) connections. For example, you need to take a pencil, an eraser, your ID card and chips to your next exam.Imagine the ID card as the body of an animal, the pencil its long neck, and the eraser its head.Your animal。
