If the housing controls are misaligned slightly, make sure the camera hold down bolt has been tightened down firmly so the camera is flat against the tray.Turn Camera OnTurn the camera on and operate each of the housing controls to get a feel for using the camera in the housing. Take a few pictures above water with the camera in the housing.Zoom Control(NOTE:) After you have used the housing's zoom control, it must be returned to the center position to disengage. If the housing zoom control is pushing the zoom lever in either direction, you may not be able to take a picture or access any other function because the camera is receiving a signal from the engaged zoom control.Closing the Housing1.2.the housing back and that it is clean and in its proper location.3.Guide the back into the housing front. The o-ring should touch the housing all the way around. There should be an even gap all the way around between the housing and the housing back.4.Lift the lid snaps so they are extendedand place each lid snap into the corresponding hook on the housing back. 5.To close the housing, push down onthe lid snaps until they snap intoplace. Lid snaps on opposite sides of the housing should be closed at the same time. Be sure they are down far enough to engage the lock. Double check - Once the housing isclosed, check the o-ring seal. Checkthe gap between the housing back and the housing. It should be even all the way around the housing.Look through the clear plastic back at the o-ring. You should see a darkened area where the o-ring is compressed against the housing back. If you do not see an even black compression seal all the way around the back, open the lid snaps, reseat the housing back and close the lid snaps. Visually check the seal again.CAUTION:Some camera tripod socket threads are plastic. The mounting bolt is metal. Do not cross thread or over tighten as you may damage the camera tripod socket threads.Installing the Camera1.Pull out on each housing control until it stops. This will get the controlsout of the way for installation of the camera.2.Remove the back from the housing.3.The mounting tray for the camera is secured to the housing back.Position the camera on the tray.ing a coin or screwdriver (preferred), secure the camera with the traymounting bolt which threads into the camera’s tripod socket: Diagram A .Opening the HousingLid Snaps have a Lock .To open housing, push Lid Snap Lock forward and lift as shown.Keep pressure on the Lid Snap so it does not fly open quickly. Some lid snaps have a lot of spring tension once they go overcenter, so keep a firm grip on the lid snap.Lid Snaps may be opened one at a time.Diagram A56EngagedCenter Position DisengagedUsing the Camera’s Built-in FlashFor the best results, we recommend using an external Ikelite Substrobe. If you do not have an external flash, the camera’s built-in flash can be used with a diffuser installed. This use is limited due to the housing port blocking a portion of the built-in camera flash. Install the Diffuser and zoom in slightly to eliminate any dark areas noted in your photographs. See Diffuser/Deflector Installation below.NOTE: The camera’s built-in flash CANNOT be used with optional Wide-Angle or Accessory lenses.Diffuser UseThe diffuser should be installed when using the camera flash. When shooting close-up photographs with the camera flash and at the camera lens’s widest angle setting, the lens port on the housing can block a portion of the light from the camera flash. This can result in a shadow in a lower corner of the frame. Zoom the lens to eliminate the shadow (You can test this above water).Deflector UseThe deflector should be installed when using an Ikelite external strobe. The deflector will block and redirect the camera’s flash to the AF35 slave unit or EV-controller which controls the external strobe’s output.Remove the diffuser before attempting to install the deflector.A diffuser and deflector are included with the housing. TheThe deflector is also white but is not transparent. To install the diffuser or deflector, push the “Cut-out” Section into the port groove until it stops.Note the Small Hole. To avoidlosing the diffuser or deflector, you this hole.Diffuser and Deflector InstallationOptional AccessoriesBack o-ring #0109O-rings last for several years if properly maintained. Onesetting is for strobe selection, the otheris for pre-flash “P” or non pre-flash ”P”.This camera uses pre-flash, (except inmanual mode), thus the EV-Controllershould be set to the pre-flash “P”position when used with this camera asa slave. If manual mode is desired, setthe EV-controller to the non-pre-flash “P”position.Ikelite Lube #5020 (4 - 1cc tubes)For light lubrication of the mainhousing o-ring.Ikelite Lube - 1cc TubeControl MaintenanceIkelite controls are designed to provide years of reliable service with minimal maintenance.1.Push button controls require no maintenance other than rinsing in freshwater after saltwater use. If a push button control becomes difficult to push or if it sticks when depressed, soak the housing in luke warm fresh water. After a few minutes, operate the push button. If this does not correct the problem, return the housing to Ikelite for maintenance.2.Some of the controls have long shafts. These controls can be pulled out, exposing the shaft see Diagram B - Page 15and Diagram C - Page 16. To lubricate the control, gently pull on the knob until the stainless steel shaft is exposed. Lightly lubricate the shaft, then move the shaft in and out several times. This will lubricate the x-ring in the Ikelite control gland. This should be done before using the housing after a prolonged storage period, or once a week when the housing is in constant use.Lubricants1.Ikelite provides silicone lubricant with the housing. We recommend you useonly Ikelite lubricant (included with housing - Page 12) on Ikelite products as some other brands may cause the o-ring to swell and not seal e only enough lubricant to lightly cover control shafts and o-rings.Wipe off any excess lubricant with a clean cloth. Lubricant is not asealant, it is used to reduce friction. Excessive lubricant can collect sand and dirt which may interfere with proper sealing.CAUTION:Never use spray lubricants as the propellant ingredient can cause the plastic housing to crack.1314Diagram CHousing MaintenanceThe Ikelite Digital Housing should be given the same care and attention as your other photographic equipment. In addition to normal maintenance, we recommend that the housing be returned to Ikelite periodically to be checked and pressure tested.1.Do Not leave the camera and housing in direct sunlight for prolongedperiods. Heat may damage the camera.2.Do Not ship the camera in the housing.3.Before using the housing, always check the tightness of the set screwin each control knob.Check each control gland penetrating the housing to make sure they are tight. There is a slight chance that either could vibrate loose during travel.4.Keep the back o-ring clean and lightly lubricated. To lubricate, removethe o-ring from the back. Put a small amount of lkelite lubricant on your fingers. Pull the o-ring through your fingers to apply a light coating of lubricant. Only apply enough lubricant to make the o-ring feel slick. Do Not stretch the o-ring . This light coating of lubricant will help to keep the o-ring from drying out and will help to show a dark sealing line when the housing back is properly sealed.5.Keep the area where the o-ring fits and the sealing surface of thehousing clean.6.Rinse the housing exterior thoroughly in freshwater after each saltwateruse. Dry with a soft cloth. Dry lens port to eliminate water spotting. After several uses in saltwater, soak the housing exterior in a mild soap solution, rinse and dry before storing. When storing the housing, remove the back o-ring, lightly lubricate, and place in a plastic bag. Place the plastic bag with o-ring inside the housing for safe keeping.7. If removing a housing push button, Do Not re-use the E-clip. ContactIkelite for replacement E-clips (part #0319.12).8.Leave lid snaps in the open position when not using the housing forextended periods.Control Maintenance Cont.3.Some of the controls have a short shaft and cannot be pulled outexposing the shaft for lubrication. In the unlikely event one of these controls sticks or becomes difficult to operate, you can remove thecontrol from the housing and lubricate it, or return the housing to Ikelite for maintenance. To remove the control - Diagram B , loosen the set screw in the knob (allen wrench required); remove the knob. If there is salt or dirt build-up on the exposed control shaft, clean the shaft. Open the housing and gently slide the control shaft out of the control gland.Clean and lightly lubricate the shaft, including the end of the shaft.Slide the shaft back into the control gland and gently slide it back and forth a few times without fully removing the shaft from the gland.Replace the knob noting the flat area on the shaft. The set screw in the knob should tighten down against the flat area on the control, so the knob does not turn on the shaft.before reinserting into glandDiagram BGeneral Tips1. Before placing your camera in the housing, it is a good idea to immersethe closed housing in a bucket or rinse tank to make sure it is watertight.2.Due to the power required to operate the camera and LCD screen, it is agood idea to start each dive with a fully charged camera battery.3.As soon as you enter the water, take a moment and check the housingto see that it is properly sealed.4.Next, check to see if there are any bubbles on the face of the lens port.If there are, take your finger and remove them. If there are bubbles on the lens port they can produce soft focus spots in your video.NOTE:Fogging of the port glass may occur due to a variety ofenvironmental factors. To prevent fogging issues, always assemble the housing in a cool, dry area, such as an air conditioned room, and keep the housing out of direct sunlight. If fogging persists, insert a fresh desiccant packet inside the housing before each day of diving.Desiccant packages are not available from Ikelite, however most camera stores carry them.1817Returning Products for Service (outside the United States)For the separate international customs documentation form that you complete to accompany the shipment, please state or designate that the enclosed products were originally manufactured in the USA and are being returned to the manufacturer for repair service. Except as mentioned above, no other warranty expressed or implied, applies to this Ikelite product .Photo Tips (continued)7.Many photographers transfer their images to the computer where theycan fine tune the appearance of the image. Many of the imagemanipulation programs make you think you can magically correct any image taken and make a good picture. Remember when using an image manipulation program such as Photoshop, that if the image isoverexposed, much of the color is missing. If the color is missing you cannot adjust it. If images are slightly underexposed, the color is there, but it is just dark and you can adjust it to some degree. So, if you error in exposure, it is better to have the image slightly underexposed rather than overexposed.Photo Tips1.The number one rule in underwater photography is to eliminate as muchwater between the camera and subject as possible. Get as close as you can to the subject, then use the zoom. If you are using flash for still photos, subjects beyond 6 feet (1.8m) will not have much color regardless of strobe power.2.The camera’s built-in flash is very close to the camera lens. The flashcan light up any suspended particles in the water and they can berecorded in your picture. This effect is called backscatter. To eliminate as much backscatter as possible, photograph close or use an externalstrobe. Photograph in clear water; do not stir up the sand or silty bottom. If backscatter becomes a problem in the environment you are photographing, an external flash will help eliminate much of the backscatter.3.Many digital cameras have a slight lag time between when you pressthe shutter release button and the camera actually takes the picture.Hold the camera steady a second or two after pressing the shutter release button.4.Do not shoot down on subjects as they will quite often blend into thebackground and be difficult to see in the photograph. Shoot subjects straight on or shoot up at a slight angle using the blue water as a contrasting background.5.Underwater flash is used to restore the warmer colors filtered out by thewater as well as to illuminate the subject. When photographingunderwater, set the camera to use flash on every shot. If the camera’s flash is set to AUTO and the sun is behind your subject, the camera may see enough light and not fire the flash. With the sun behind the subject, the subject is shaded (dark) and needs flash for a good exposure.6.When using daylight or flash, if your camera consistently over orunderexposes the image, you may want to adjust your camera’s exposure compensation settings.NOTE:To shoot photographs closer than 2 feet (0.6m), we recommendusing an external strobe such as the DS51 or DS160. An external strobe can be positioned so nothing blocks the light path between the strobe and the subject.6184.81_Nikon_S8100_01-0211。

This Report contains information about all the Update status of the Cells currently installed on the system. Select 'Close’ to close the Report. The Furuno FMD 3000 ECDIS displays the Cell status of the Cells installed within a colour coding system on the Geographical Display:Green: The Permit is valid and the ENC is available for use in SENC format. If the source of the ENC is a RENC, then the ENC is also up-to-date. If the source of the S-57 vector chart is something other than a RENC then all loaded updates are included into the SENC.Orange: You have a valid Permit and the ENC is available for use in SENC format but it is either not up-to-date or has been cancelled. This could be for several reasons, either the SENC is from a previous edition, the latest SENC update was missed or the ENC has been cancelled.Red: If an ENC is installed in the SENC but does not have a corresponding permit installed then the ENC is no longer available for display in the viewer.Blue: The conversion of the Cells from RENC to SENC as somehow failed during the conversion process. This can be due to a software upgrade or an issue with the data itself preventing the Furuno from successfully converting to SENC. For example, one Cell was up-to-date before a software upgrade and was not updated when the software was upgraded. Then the Cell would show as blue until the conversion process is completed. Contrary to the Magenta colour which means that the RENC to SENC conversion was not even started.Magenta: You have a permit to use the ENC, but the installed ENC is not available in SENC format and thus you cannot use the ENC currently. It is also possible to check the updating status of all Cells installed within the Cell Status mode:1. Select 'Cell Status’ on the Home screen2. The 'Cell Status’ window then appears displaying the Updating status of all Cells installed:If screenshots need to be taken (i.e. report specific issues), this is carried out in the Furuno FMD 3000 by clicking on 'Capture Screenshot’ on the Home screen. When the required screenshot is taken, it will be automatically saved on the system within the 'Settings’ Tab on the top MenuIn the next 'Setti ngs’ window, find the screenshot previously taken (usually at the bottom of the drop down list), highlight it with a tick on its left hand side and then click on 'Export’. This will open a new window where you can then save this screenshot on the preferred source location (i.e. USB).14 TroubleshootingMany of the difficulties that could be experienced when using the Admiralty Vector Chart Service with this system can be avoided by carefully following the instructions in this guide. However, issues that are known to have caused confusion in the past are detailed in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section which can be found at:/SupportIf you encounter problems that are not solved by referring to the FAQs, you may wish to seek Technical Support. Please see the section below for contact details.Who should you contact? You will receive the most effective support if you address your initial query to either your ECDIS Manufacturer or ADMIRALTY Chart Agent, but in certain circumstances you may need to contact the UKHO Customer Services. When reporting a chart related problem it is useful if you can provide the following details:> Licence number> Vessel name> ECDIS/Software Manufacturer> Details of error message –Including 'SSE’ er ror code> Screen shot(s) of error> Details of Base Discs used (date)> Details of Update CD used (date)> Details of Permits used (date)> Details of Cell number(s) errors apply to> Have there been any configuration changes to system(s) > Details of User Permit(s) and PIN Number(s)Emergency Chart Permit GenerationIn certain circumstances it may be necessary for a vessel to get access to an AVCS chart at very short notice, for instance if a route needs to be diverted due to a medical or safety emergency. In these emergency circumstances only, individual AVCS ENC Permits can be obtained from the UKHO 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.To obtain the AVCS emergency permit, please quote:> Vessel Name> ECDIS User Permit Number> Required ENCsThe permits can be sent directly to the vessel by email wherever possible, by fax, or simply by reading the characters out over the telephone or radio. Please contact UKHO Customer Services using the contact details below:。

电子海图许可包含2个文件:ENC.PMT和PERMIT.TXT。
