当然，这并不意味着二者全然等同；事实上，他们之间尚存在许多差异，有些差异甚至还是根本性的——仅以剧本形式而论，就有对表演性与文学性、诗体与散文体的不同侧重等等。
其实，他们在悲剧创作上存有许多相似之处，但另一方面，由于两者所处的不同环境与文化差异的影响，莎士比亚和关汉卿的悲剧创作在其各自的矛盾模式处理和这种处理背后所蕴涵的文化内蕴上又凸显着各自的创作特色。

【摘要】对杨宪益、时钟雯、刘荣恩三位译者的《窦娥冤》译本进行定量比较分析，旨在研究三个英文译本中使用的翻译策略，以及翻译者对翻译策略的选取与其自身的文化定位和文化背景关系。
通过比较研究，发现了不同翻译背后隐藏的原因，并由此探讨哪位译者的翻译更贴近原著。

However, even on the brink of life and death, she still Stick to one's own beliefs , proved with her actions that wrongs would eventually be righted. Her perseverance and unyielding spirit deeply shocked me.In stark contrast to Dou E are those who framed her out of selfish desires. They may have a magnificent appearance , but their inner selves are full of darkness. 然而，反观杨译本cry out(大叫、叫喊)一词，只单单描写出窦娥向天地诉说的
情景，我们把杨译本进行回译：我向天地大声诉说我的不公，可以看出杨译本并没有 把原文中的“动地惊天”体现出来，从而也就不如时译本更能翻译出窦娥坚强不屈、
抗争到底的光辉形象。

这一唱词选自《窦娥冤》的第三折，习惯上称作《法场》，这是全剧的高潮和核 心。 时钟雯教授的译本startle（使震惊）一词，说明了窦娥的冤屈已经震惊了天地， 连天地都为之动容，也暗含了窦娥希望自己的冤屈能够让上天知晓，得到天地的证明， 从而给自己平反。时译本的回译：我的冤屈震惊了天和地，与原文“叫声屈动地惊天” 贴切对应，表现出窦娥的顽强不屈、抗争到底的性格。
有的以少数民族曲名音译， 如[菩萨蛮]，[唐兀多]，[者刺古]， [阿纳忽]等。
