The rapid pace of innovation in fields like artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and quantum computing promises unprecedented changes in our lives.Artificial intelligence, or AI, is poised to revolutionize every industry, from medicine to education. With AI, we can diagnose diseases more accurately, personalize learning experiences, and even optimize supply chains. However, this rapid progress also raises concerns about ethical implications and potential job displacement. It is crucial that we engage in open discussions to ensure AI is developed responsibly and benefits society at large. Biotechnology, another rapidly advancing field, offers the potential to cure diseases that have plagued humanity for centuries. With gene editing techniques like CRISPR, we can now potentially eradicate genetic diseases at theirsource. Yet, the ethical and social implications of these technologies are profound, and we must proceed with caution and respect for human dignity.Quantum computing, while still in its infancy, has the potential to revolutionize computing power and capabilities. This new technology could lead to breakthroughs in fields like energy, cryptography, and materials science. However, the challenges of building stable and scalable quantum computers are numerous, and it remains to be seen how this technology will evolve and be applied. As we look ahead to the future of technology, it is important to remember that while these advances offer immense potential, they also pose significant challenges. It is our responsibility to engage in informed discussions, set responsible guidelines, and ensure that technology serves the needs of humanity, rather than the other way around.I look forward to exploring these topics further with you and discussing the role of technology in shaping our future. Dear Jim,I’m worried that you’ve been addicted to sharing all sorts of photos in WeChat circle recently. There is no doubt that WeChat makes communication convenient and our spare time colorful. However, there exist some potential risks if we overshare it. One severe problem is letting out privacy, which may cause economic losses. Besides, oversharing can make others uncomfortable, for they think you are showing off. Therefore, we should never post our personal information in WeChat circle, and nor should we add strangers to the list of friends randomly. 全国高考英语应用文写作共几行作文
全国高考英语应用文写作共几行作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1The Big Important Test for Going to CollegeHey there! My name is Li Ming and I'm a 5th grader. I love playing outside, reading comics, and eating ice cream. But there's one thing that's been on my mind a lot lately – the gaokao! That's the big important test that you have to take at the end of high school if you want to go to a good university in China. My older sister Mei is going to take the gaokao next year when she graduates from high school. She's been really stressed about it! Every night, I see her staying up late studying hard. During the day, she complains about how much homework and practice tests she has. I feel bad for her.The gaokao has four main sections - Chinese, math, a foreign language like English, and something called a "composizhi" which is writing an essay. Mei has been especially worried about the English part, because she wants to get a high enough score to go to a prestigious university and study abroad someday. For the English composizhi, you have to write a short essay or article on a certain topic in English. The topics can be about anything - culture, society, technology, the environment, and so on. You have to use proper grammar, vocabulary, organization, and persuasive arguments. It's meant to test your overall English writing ability.Mei has been obsessing over how long the English composizhi part will be. "How many lines do I have to write? 10 lines? 20 lines? I need to practice writing that exact amount!" she says anxiously. She has been bugging my parents and her English teacher about the line count non-stop.I decided to do some research myself to find out the answer and hopefully help put Mei's mind at ease. I asked my own English teacher Mrs. Wang about it. She said there is no set line requirement! The English composizhi section just gives a box or blank space, and you can write as much or as little as you need to fully answer the prompt. Most students end up writing around 200-400 words, which works out to approximately 10-20 lines of text depending on your handwriting size. But you could write more or less and still be okay, as long as you comprehensively respond to the topic.I was so excited to tell Mei this news! I ran home from school and found her at her desk, pouring over English essay examples and vocabulary lists."Mei Mei! Mei Mei! I found out about the English composizhi - you don't have to write any certain number of lines!!" I exclaimed breathlessly. She looked at me skeptically. "What? Really? Then how will they decide if I wrote enough?"I explained what Mrs. Wang told me about there being no strict line limit, and that she just needs to fully answer the prompt, whether that takes 10 lines or 30 lines.Mei's tense shoulders relaxed and she let out a huge signovd of relief."Oh thank goodness! That's one less thing to worry aboutWhat a weight off my mind!"She gave me a big grateful hug. "Thanks little bro, you're the best! I'm going to stop driving myself crazy over untrue line count rumors and just focus on writing high-quality essays from now on."I was so proud that my simple research helped reduce Mei's gaokao anxiety, at least when it comes to the English writingsection's format. One small weight lifted from the heavy burden of college entrance exam stress! While the gaokao still sounds really hard andnerve-wracking, knowing she doesn't have to dwell on calculating line numbers for her English essays seems to have reinvigorated Mei's positive attitude. She has a newfound energy and confidence as she continues diligently preparing.I'll be cheering Mei on every step of the way to the gaokao next year. And in just a few years after that, I'll be the one sweating over practice tests, desperate for assurance from a wise younger sibling! Until then, I'll keep working hard in school, enjoying my childhood, and facing any confusions about major tests by asking questions and researching for the facts. Exams are intimidating, but knowledge is power!篇2How Many Lines for the Gaokao English Essay? A Lot!Hi there! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm in 5th grade. My big sister is going to take the famous gaokao test soon to try and get into a great university. She has been really stressed about the English portion, especially the writing section. She keeps askinghow many lines she needs to write for the essay. I've been trying to help her, but to be honest, I'm not totally sure either! From what I understand, the gaokao English essay is a very important part of the test. It shows if you can write well in English and express your thoughts clearly. Chinese students have to master writing essays for this huge exam that helps decide their future. No pressure or anything! My sister has read that the essay should be long enough to fully answer the question or writing prompt. But how long is long enough? Some people say 200 words, some say 300 words. Heck, I've even heard people say you need 400 words or more! That's like a medium-sized book for a kid like me.I did some investigating by looking at sample gaokao essays online and in books. From what I can tell, most of the good ones are pretty lengthy - definitely more than just a few sentences. The writers develop their ideas a lot with examples, reasons, and explanations. They have an introduction paragraph, some main body paragraphs, and a conclusion too. Seems like they put a lot of effort into it!My dad always says "quality over quantity" when it comes to writing. But for the gaokao English essay, I think you need both quality AND quantity. You have to write enough to answer theprompt fully. Just a few short paragraphs probably won't cut it on such an important test.So after studying all the examples, here's my verdict: For the gaokao English composition, you should aim for AT LEAST 300 words, but 350 is better. And nobody will complain if you write 400 words or slightly more, as long as you stay on topic. More than 450 words might be too long though. The most important thing is to answer all aspects of the writing prompt in a clear, organized way. Use good examples, explanations, and transitional phrases to make your essay flow logically. And don't forget to check for grammar and spelling mistakes!I really hope my big sis can write an amazing gaokao English essay that showcases her English skills. If she does well on the writing, it will help boost her overall score. Then she can get into an excellent university and have lots of opportunities in the future.Nowadays, English is super important for careers, travel, communicating globally, and so much more. By ensuring students can write well in English, the gaokao essay shows they are prepared for further education and the modern world. No wonder it is such a crucial component!Well, that's my take based on my research. I tried to make this a nice long essay, just like the suggestions for the actual test! Hopefully my ramblings provide some insight into how much to write for that all-important gaokao English composition. If you're reading this and are going to take the gaokao soon, best of luck! Just remember - for the essay, more is better but not too much more. Now I need to go help my sister practice some more!篇3The National College Entrance Examination is Super Duper Important!Hi there! My name is Xinxin and I'm 10 years old. I go to Happy Sunshine Elementary School in Beijing. Today I want to tell you all about the gaokao - that's the big, big test that high school seniors have to take to get into university in China. It's a really huge deal!My older sister Meimei is studying really hard this year to take the gaokao next summer. She stays up late every night reviewing her books and doing practice tests. Sometimes I hear her groaning from her bedroom as she struggles with the tough math problems. I feel bad for her!The gaokao has four main sections - Chinese, math, a combined test on sciences like biology, chemistry and physics, and lastly, English. Each test is extremely difficult. My sister says the English section is one of the toughest parts. In the English test, there are listening, reading, and writing portions. You have to listen to recordings and answer questions proving you understood. You have to read long, complicated passages and answer comprehension questions too. But in my opinion, the most nerve-wracking part is the writing section! In the writing part, there are two sections. One is asking you to write a letter, resume, report or other short composition. The other part is where you have to write a longer essay, which is called the "English Composition" or "English Application Writing."This English Composition part is crazy hard from what Meimei has told me. You have to write a full essay of a certain length in just 30 minutes! Can you imagine having to write that much, that fast, while trying to avoid any grammar or spelling mistakes? My little 10-year-old brain would explode! But the really interesting thing is that there's no set length for how long the essay should be. The only guidance is that it should have an "appropriate" length for the topic you choose towrite about. However, there are rules about the minimum and maximum number of LINES your essay can be!According to my sister, the minimum line length is 120 lines. But the maximum is 180 lines! So your essay has to be between 120-180 lines long. Any shorter than 120 lines, and you get a deduction. Any longer than 180 lines, and you also get a deduction! How specific is that?!In my English writing class at school, my teacher Mrs. Wang always says "Why use 10 words when you can use 100 words to express the same idea?" She really emphasizes being very descriptive and wordy in our writing. But for the gaokao English Composition, you can't be too wordy or you'll go over that 180 line limit! You have to find just the right balance of length. My sister has a special technique where she tries to write between 140-160 lines for her practice essays. That gives her a buffer zone in case her handwriting ends up being larger or smaller on test day, but keeps her safely within the 120-180 line range. She's sooo smart!I can't even imagine having to know the exact line count while also trying to develop a clear thesis, provide persuasive examples, sequence my ideas logically, use transition words, vary my sentence structure, and incorporate fancy vocabulary words.YIKES! It's already hard enough for me just to write simplemulti-paragraph stories about my summer vacation for Mrs. Wang's class.Although the line length rules seem very rigid and stressful, I understand why they exist. If everyone wrote wildly different length essays, it would be really hard for the graders to evaluate them fairly and consistently. By setting a reasonable line range of 120-180 lines, it defines the scope that writers need to achieve. It makes the scoring more standardized across all test takers.Still, I feel terrible for my poor sister and all her classmates! They are working sooooooooooo hard, studying late into the night, giving up video games and socializing with friends. All the pressure to perform well on the gaokao, including specifically meeting the line length for the English Composition, just seems incredibly stressful to me. I'm glad I'm only in elementary school and have several more years before I need to worry about that!I really admire Meimei and her determination. I know her goal is to score in the very top percentiles so she can attend a prestigious university like Tsinghua or Peking University. Doing well on the English Composition sectionby hitting that 120-180 line sweet spot is crucial for her dreams.Sometimes when Meimei is feeling overwhelmed, I give her a big hug and remind her of the saying our mom always told us: "Had le ma? Had le! Had bu liao ma? Had bu liao!" Which means, "Can you get it done? Then get it done! Can't you get it done? Then don't worry about it!" I know Meimei is going to get that English Composition done within the line limit - no doubt about it! My sister is a true勤奋(hard worker)!Well, that's everything I know about the whole business with how many lines the English Composition on the gaokao is supposed to be. A minimum of 120 lines and a maximum of 180 lines - what an interesting, specific requirement! I'll be counting every single line when it's my turn to take the terrifying test in a few years. But until then, I'm going to go outside and play and not worry about it. Being a kid is great! Fighting Meimei - you've got this English Composition in the bag!篇4How Many Lines Should a Big Test English Writing Have?Hi friends! Today I want to talk about the English writing part of the big test that all the old kids have to take to get into college. It's called the Gaokao and it's really really important in China. Mybig brother just took it last year and he was soooo stressed about the English writing part. The writing part is where the students have to write an essay, kind of like what we do at school but wayyyy harder. From what I understand, they get a topic and have to write a whole essay about it in English within a time limit. Can you imagine having to write pages and pages of perfect English in just an hour or two? No way I could do that now!Anyway, my brother told me that everyone has a different opinion on how long the essay should be. Some people say the writers should just do 5 or 6 sentences for each paragraph - a short introduction, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion. But other people think they need to write way more than that to fully answer the question. The longest my brother said he had seen was over 40 lines!Personally, I think somewhere right in the middle is probably best. If the essays are too short, then the writers can't really explain their ideas and give good examples and details. But if they're crazy long, then the people grading them will get tired of reading and might miss some important points. I'd recommend something like 20-25 lines total. An intro paragraph of 4 or 5 lines, three body paragraphs of 6-8 lines each, and a conclusionof 3-4 lines. That seems like enough room to make all their points without overdoing it.Another thing to think about is handwriting. I know my handwriting can get pretty sloppy if I write too much, especially if I'm in a rush. The graders have to read thousands and thousands of essays, so writing a novel is probably not a good idea. Keeping it shorter means the writers can focus on making their writing neat and easy to read.On the flip side, some of the really good writers might want a bit more space to showcase their English skills. If the limit is too strict, they might not get to use all their vocabulary and grammar that they practiced so hard. My tutor always says "Quality over quantity!" but for a big important test, having both quality and a bit more quantity could be an advantage. So in conclusion, I think the Gaokao English essay should have enough lines for good writers to show their best stuff, but not so many that it gets too long and messy. Something like20-25 lines hits a nice middle ground. That's plenty of space to answer the prompt fully while keeping things organized and readable. What do you guys think? However many lines it ends up being, I just hope my brother and all his friends don't stress too much about it! Staying happy and healthy is most important. Those are just my thoughts as a little kid though. I still have lots and lots to learn about writing and tests and all that grown-up stuff. But doesn't it sound like an exciting challenge? Maybe I'll be great at English writing when I'm older. A boy can dream! Let me know if you have any other questions!篇5Hi friends! Today I want to talk about the English part of the big test that older students have to take to get into college - the gaokao. My older brother just took it last year and he had to write a whole essay in English! Can you believe that? Writing in English is super hard. When my brother was studying for the gaokao, he asked me what I thought he should write for his English essay. I told him he should just write the funniest joke he knows over and over again to fill up all the lines! That would definitely make the graders laugh and give him a great score. But he didn't listen to me. Typical older brother, am I right?Instead, my brother said the graders want you to write a long essay with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion - just like we learn in our English classes at school. He said they give you a prompt about some topic and you have towrite a multi-paragraph essay responding to that prompt and giving your opinion. It's kind of like what we do for our in-class writing assignments, but longer. My brother also told me that neatness and organization are really important for the gaokao English essay. The graders want to see that you can structure your thoughts in a clear, logical way. Using good transitions between ideas and having naturalsounding language is also key. Oh, and of course you need to use lots of vocabulary words and grammar points that show your English level is high enough for university study. From what my brother explained, it seems like the gaokao English essay section wants you to prove that you can write a well-developed, multi-paragraph composition on an assigned topic. Just writing a short paragraph or two probably isn't enough to get a really good score. You've got to take the time to fully explain your viewpoint and give plenty of supporting details and examples. So how many lines do they give you to write all that? My brother said he had to fill up around 20-25 lines of English writing for his essay! Can you imagine? Twenty-five lines of English is like a billion words when you're a kid. Okay, maybe nota billion...but it's definitely a lot of writing in a foreign language. Just thinking about it makes my hand cramp up.When I asked my brother how long his essay ended up being, he said it was around 400-500 words. That's like one of those crazy long book reports we have to write in Chinese class, but even longer since English words take up more space on the page. Four hundred words of English would probably take me a whole day to write! An average adult can type that much in maybe an hour if they're a good English writer. But having to handwrite 400+ words of English from scratch in just 30-40 minutes? No way! That's some next level writing skills required. My brother definitely struggled with finishing his essay in the time allowed during practice tests. He said that time management is crucial - you have to plan out your essay really quickly, then get your ideas down as fast and as neatly as possible. Using good handwriting and leaving a blank line between paragraphs helps make your essay look neater and easier to read. You also can't leave too many crossed-out words or glaring mistakes since that looks sloppy.Although it was hard, my brother said he felt proud after completing his gaokao English essay because he knew it was his chance to show off his English abilities one last time beforecollege. For students planning to major in anything involving English or international studies, the essay is one of the most important sections. So they have to prove their English writing skills are up to snuff. When my time comes to take the gaokao in a few years, I'm definitely going to practice my English essay writing a ton. Maybe I'll even enter some of those national English writing competitions for students to get extra practice. I'll need all the help I can get if I want to fill up 20+ lines with a tight, quality essay in English. It's going to be a huge challenge!Well, that's my extremely humble student opinion on how many lines we have to write for the English section of the gaokao. Let me know if you have any other questions! I may just be a kid, but I'm pretty much an expert on everything related to the gaokao now after listening to my brother complain about it for the past year. Maybe I'll make a videos about gaokao tips and go viral! A kid can dream, right? Study hard friends!篇6How Many Lines for the Gaokao English Compo?Hi friends! Jenny here. Today I want to talk about something super important for all you middle and high school students outthere - the English composition part of the gaokao. The gaokao is the big scary test in China that decides what university you get into. And the English writing section is hard!My cousin Xiaoming is in his last year of high school and he's been stressing out so much about the gaokao English compo. He keeps asking how many lines he needs to write. The teachers all give different answers! Some say 200 words minimum, others say 300 words. Xiaoming's head is going to explode from worrying about word counts. In my opinion, they really shouldn't make you count words or lines for this important test. Doesn't that just make you focus on the wrong things? Instead of great ideas and good grammar, you're just thinking about hitting some magic number. That doesn't seem fair at all! What if you have a super brilliant point, but you run out of space after 180 words? Or what if you have to repeat yourself over and over with filler sentences to stretch it to 300 words? Either way, the quality goes down. And isn't quality what really matters for deciding university admissions?I think they should ditch the stupid word counts and line limits altogether. Just give a prompt and a reasonable time limit, and let students write as much or as little as they need to fullyaddress the topic. The graders can evaluate things like clear expression of ideas, vocabulary, organization, and all that good stuff. But worrying about an arbitrary line number just gets in the way.My cousin Xiaoming agrees with me 100% on this. He wishes the test could just say "Write a response to this prompt using your best English skills." Instead, he has to do weird things like choose the longest possible word options and stretch out his introductory paragraph as much as possible. It's backward!Maybe I'm just a naive kid, but it seems like common sense to me. After all, that's how we write anything else important in life - you don't set a line limit, you just write until you've fully expressed your point. Can you imagine writing a cover letter or proposal for work and having to stretch it out or cut it off arbitrarily? Of course not!The weird line obsession for gaokao English compositions doesn't match how writing works in the real world at all. So I really hope the test makers wake up and change the format soon. Kids like my cousin have enough to worry about without sweating nonsense word counts on top of it all. Those are just my thoughts as a little elementary kid who hasn't even learned hanzi stroke orders yet, let alone how tocrush the gaokao. But I still think I'm onto something here! Let's let students write freely and judge their skills more naturally, not their ability to hit some rigid line target. Doesn't that sound better?Anyways, I've probably hit my own unnecessary word limit by now. Thanks for reading, and good luck on your English writing exams everyone! Don't forget that quality ideas matter more than any line quota. Fight the power of arbitrary word counts!。
