This morning I went to the English corner which is in the park near my home. It is three years since it was founded. Many middle school students as well as college students and foreigners take part in the activity. People there practice speaking English by talking about something interesting. People also exchange the experience in English Learning. I think it is a good chance for me to use what I have learnt in my English class. I felt very cool after I got back home. Yesterday we played happily, but there were only ten people. I remembered last year there were twenty-two people at all. I heard some my friends had gone abroad. They went abroad to study. The 2008 Olympic Games is drawing near. All of us are looking forward to it. In order to host a successful Olympic Games, we need to do a lot of hard work. For example, we should improve the traffic condition in Beijing.
I think we can have a better traffic as long as we take steps in three different ways. First, we need to control the rapid growth of the number of private cars, because too many private cars will lead to serious traffic jams, as well as air pollution. Second, we must make greater efforts to develop mass transportation system, such as bus lines and subway lines. Third, we must educate the public to let them better understand the traffic laws and regulations.
If the above-mentioned measu res are successfully taken, I’m sure the traffic situation of Beijing will be much better by 2008.。
