２018考研英语词源趣谈之常见星座名称的由来跨考教育英语教研室—王婵娟1.ｇalaｘy（银河系):天河赫拉的乳汁英语单词 gａｌaxｙ(银河）来自希腊语 gaｌａxiaｓ(mｉｌky、乳汁的)，是 galａｘiａs kyｋloｓ（ｍiｌkｙciｒclｅ,乳汁之环）的缩写。
在希腊神话中，据说天后赫拉的乳汁具有神奇的力量,吃后可以长生不老。
一天,趁赫拉熟睡之际,宙斯将自己和凡人结合所生的私生子赫拉克勒斯抱到赫拉身旁，让他吮吸赫拉的乳汁。
没想到赫拉克勒斯吮吸时用力过猛，惊醒了赫拉。
赫拉猛地把孩子推开，但一些乳汁飞溅到天上，形成了银河。
所以银河被人称为“乳汁之环”。
在英语中,人们还往往用 miｌky ｗaｙ(乳汁之路)来表示银河。

值得一提的是英语中南回归线的名字就是“tropic of Capricorn”，是热带的南边界，太阳垂直照射的最南端，我的天文学知识有限，也许摩羯座的月份正好是北半球的冬天南半球的夏天，所以用这个名字命名。

英语中12个月名称的由来公历一年有12个月，但不少人并不知道12 个月的英语名称的来历。
