Unit2 Smart Cars练习讲解
Automobiles have, since their invention, revolutionized transportation, changing forever the way people live, travel, and do business. On the other hand, they have brought hazards, especially highway fatalities. However, today the application of computer technology and electronic sensors makes it possible to eliminate most of traffic accidents. For example, electronic sensors mounted in your car can detect alcohol vapor in the air and refuse to start up the engine. They can also monitor road conditions by receiving radio signals sent out from orbiting satellites and greatly reduce your chances of getting stuck in traffic jams.

8 As a satellite passes overhead, it sends out a radio signal that can be detected by a receiver in a car's computer. The car's computer can then calculate how far the satellite is by measuring how long it took for the signal to arrive. Since the speed of light is well known, any delay in receiving the satellite's signal can be converted into a distance.

smart cars英语作文结合课文
smart cars英语作文结合课文In today's world, technology is advancing at an unprecedented rate, and the automotive industry is no exception. Smart cars, a product of this technological revolution, are slowly but surely transforming the landscape of transportation. These cars, equipped with advanced sensors, high-tech computer systems, and internet connectivity, are not just vehicles that take us from one place to another; they are intelligent companions that make driving safer, more efficient, and more convenient. The integration of smart technology in cars has led to the development of features such as autonomous driving, collision avoidance systems, and intelligent traffic management. Autonomous driving, in particular, has the potential to revolutionize the way we travel. By using a combination of sensors, radar, and cameras, these cars can navigate roads independently, reducing the risk of accidents and traffic congestion.Collision avoidance systems are another important aspect of smart cars. These systems use radar and sensors to detect obstacles in the car's path and automaticallyadjust the car's speed or direction to avoid collisions. This technology not only reduces the chances of accidents but also improves the overall safety of road users.Intelligent traffic management is another area where smart cars can make a significant impact. By connecting to a central server, these cars can share real-time traffic information, allowing traffic managers to make informed decisions about routing and flow control. This not only reduces traffic congestion but also saves time and fuel for drivers. The integration of smart technology in cars also leads to improved energy efficiency. Many smart cars are now equipped with hybrid or electric engines that consume less fuel and emit lower levels of greenhouse gases. This not only helps in reducing the carbon footprint of the automotive industry but also contributes to the global effort to combat climate change. Moreover, smart cars provide a seamless driving experience for users. They can be integrated with smartphones and other devices, allowing drivers to access their favorite music, podcasts, or navigation apps while onthe road. This not only enhances the driving experience but also makes it more enjoyable. However, the integration of smart technology in cars also raises concerns about privacy and security. As these cars become more connected, they become more vulnerable to cyber attacks and data breaches. It is, therefore, crucial that manufacturers and governments take necessary measuresto ensure the privacy and security of user data.In conclusion, smart cars are a testament to the powerof technology in revolutionizing the future of transportation. By integrating advanced sensors, high-tech computer systems, and internet connectivity, these cars are making driving safer, more efficient, and more convenient. While there are concerns about privacy and security, the potential benefits of smart cars far outweigh these concerns. As we move into the future, it is exciting to imagine the possibilities that smart cars will bring to our lives.**智能汽车:交通未来的革命**在当今世界,科技以前所未有的速度发展,汽车行业也不例外。

8 As a satellite passes overhead, it sends out a radio signal that can be detected bya receiver in a car's computer. The car's computer can then calculate how far the satellite is by measuring how long it took for the signal to arrive. Since the speed of light is well known, any delay in receiving the satellite's signal can be converted into a distance.卫星从高空经过时发出能被汽车上计算机里的接收器辨认的无线电信号。
