2023年四川省南充市高考英语二诊试卷+答案解析(附后)
2023年四川省南充市高考英语二诊试卷AStarting a new book can feel like a bit of a commitment, but it doesn’t have to be! Here are four books you can read in a single day.The House on Mango StreetReleased in 1984 and written by Mexican-American author Sandra Cisneros, The House on Mango Street is only 103 pages long. It’s a rapid read for those looking to dip their toes into the water, but it still deals with complex themes and important subject matters including language, race, ageing and troubles. The Midnight LibraryThe Midnight Library from the English author Matt Haig was released in 2020. It’s 288 pages, which makes it a little more challenging but still absolutely doable in a single day. The novel is all about storytelling, with Nora Seed exploring the “what ifs” of her life. The Perilous Life of Jade YeoReleased in 2012 and written by the fantastic Malaysian-English author Zen Cho, the page count is an extremely manageable 76 pages, which makes this another effective first read in one day. The novel is set in London in the 1920s and follows the life of another writer, Jade Yeo. There is even enough time for readers to appreciate a film adaptation of the book after reading it.StardustThe 1999 novel by English author Neil Gaiman is a perfect presentation of the writer’s fantasy stylings at their best. Stardust, which became a major motion picture, sits at 256 pages. It’s epic in its scale, but the reader can fit the novel into a single day, giving them a true sense of absolute escapism to the fantasy land of Stormhold.1. What is NOT involved in the book written by Sandra Cisneros?A. Language.B. Race.C. Literature.D. Growing old.2. Which book is a bit more difficult to finish in a day?A. The House on Mango Street.B. The Midnight Library.C. The Perilous Life of Jade Yeo.D. Stardust.3. What do The Perilous Life of Jade Yeo and Stardust have in common?A. They are both set in London.B. They are both intended for fantasy readers.C. They were both made into a film.D. The characters in the two books are fictional.BFor years, I lived out of a suitcase, ever ready to get on a flight whenever I got a chance. Discovering the world through the eyes of a writer, I diligently added note to every experience, committing it to paper for when memory faded. I was always eager for the next destination. However, the pandemic brought all my flights of fancy to a sudden halt, as it did for everyone else. With the world locked down for months, the desire for travel in me waned. What place was better than home? But what really was home?I was born in the coastal city of Mumbai. Having lived here for 15 years, there were parts I knew at length and loved, and others beyond my comfort zone, which I hadn’t explored. I decided to become a tourist, seeing the city anew through the eyes of a visitor, rather than my bored ones as a local. I went on a sunset cruise for the first time on a tiny sailboat on the magical Arabian Sea.But most of the time we spent indoors. The United Nations World Tourism Organization said the biggest challenge of pandemic travel is the uncertainty and the different rules in different countries to obey.I finally got on a plane to make it to the closest destination possible to us by flight—the sunshine state of Goa, less than an hour away from Mumbai. Putting my toe into soft powdery sand was precious, even after a lifetime of exotic travel. After a week of bliss on the beach, though, I was relieved to be back home.Ever since, I have made a few short journeys but the travel bug seems to have been put down, at least for now. But even as tourists will be flocking all over as revenge travel takes over, I have realized that there is no place quite like home.4. What does the underlined word “waned” mean in paragraph 2?A. Appeared.B. Paused.C. Declined.D. Climbed.5. What is the biggest challenge to travel during the pandemic time?A. The crowded traffic in certain destinations.B. People’s fear of being infected by the viruses.C. The high cost of travelling in such a special time.D. The different policies to observe in different nations.6. Which statement is NOT correct according to the text?A. The exotic travel is better than that of at home.B. The author used to have great passion for travelling.C. The author felt relaxed after a week of fun on the beach.D. The author explored his/her city from a new perspective.7. Which can be a suitable title for the text?A. My Travelling Thirst Satisfied at HomeB. My Desire for Travelling in the PandemicC. My Revenge Travelling after the PandemicD. Challenges of Travelling Taken at HomeCFrom little hummingbirds (蜂鸟) to big wild geese, roughly half of the worldˈs more than 10,000 bird species migrate. Longer wings and strong flying muscles often help these birds fly in the air for a long distance. But a new study of nearly all bird species suggests many migrators share another unexpected flight aid: lighter-colored feathers.Researchers say that having more lightly colored feathers than non-migrating birds may help these long-distance flyers stay cool as they work hard under the hot sun to fly.Itˈs known that color can help birds hide from some dangerous animals which can hunt them as food, or attract mates by standing out. But color has delicate effects too, including regulating temperature by absorbing or reflecting light, says Kaspar Delhey. For example, bird eggs laid in colder climates tend to be darker, which may help keep them warm.Migrating birds push their bodies to the physiological limit, which creates more heat. Some species dealing with the problem by flying to cooler air during daytime. “If overheating is a problem in migratory birds, another way of dealing with that would be to evolve lighter colors that absorb less heat,” Delhey says.Delhey and his colleagues analyzed over 20,000 pictures of 10,618 bird species, ranking wing lightness for each species and comparing that with how far the birds fly. On average, lightness slightly increased with migratory distance, the team found. The longest-distance migrators were about 4 percent lighter than no-migrators, an effect that wasnˈt explained by size, climate or habitat type for different species.“Itˈs not a big difference,” Delhey says, noting that many migrators are darkly colored, perhaps for reasons unrelated to flight. But the trend was significantly consistent.8. What advantage of the migrators is beyond people’s knowledge?A. They have large groups.B. They have longer wings.C. They have strong bodies.D. They have lighter-colored feathers.9. Why does the author mention the example of the bird eggs?A. To indicate that the dark colors can reflect light.B. To explain why birds keep eggs warm in cold climates.C. To prove that color plays a role in adjusting temperatures.D. To show how color helps birds avoid being seen by hunters.10. What problem do migrators have to deal with during migration?A. The lack of food.B. The long distance.C. The cooler and cooler climate.D. The increasing body temperature.11. How did the researchers get their conclusion?A. By checking figures.B. By making comparisons.C. By making questionnaires.D. By drawing pictures.DIn principle, it sounds simple: eat less and move more. This dietary advice for handling obesity has been around for decades. Yet, despite all the calorie counting, dieting and exercising, worldwide obesity rates just keep soaring up. In a recent paper, researchers question the basic assumption of whether taking in more calories than you burn really is the primary cause of obesity. They argue that the evidence actually points the other way: we are driven to overeat because we are getting fatter. This may seem incredible, but consider the rapid adolescent growth. As their growth rate speeds up, teenagers may eat much more than they used to. Does this “overeating” cause the rapid growth? Or does the rapid growth make teens hungrier so they eat more? Clearly the latter, as adults wonˈt grow taller, no matter how much they eat. A few hours after eating a high-carb meal, the number of calories in the blood stream drops dramatically, so we get hungrier sooner. From this perspective, the difficulty resisting hunger that so many dieters have isnˈt a sign ofpoor discipline, but rather a biological problem involving how our bodies distribute the calories we consume.A low-calorie, low-fat diet further restricts an already limited supply of energy, worsening hunger without addressing the underlying tendency to store too many calories in body fat. Consequently, weight loss becomes a battle between mind and metabolism(新陈代谢) that most people will probably lose.Although much more research will be needed to test this controversial idea, it is time to question the basic assumptions about cause and effect, calories and weight gain that have dominated our thinking for decades.12. What can be inferred from the first paragraph?A. It is extremely tough to deal with overweight.B. Eating less and moving more will make you lose weight.C. We are forced to eat more food because we are getting fatter.D. Taking in more calories than you burn is the main cause of obesity.13. Why is it difficult for dieters to resist hunger according to the text?A. Because the dieters are fond of eating a high-carb meal.B. Because some of the dieters are weak in self-discipline.C. Because the number of calories in the blood drops dramatically.D. Because the case is more related to the distribution of calories taken in.14. What can we learn about a low-calorie, low-fat diet according to Paragraph3?A. It causes people to feel hungrier.B. It solves the tendency for too much fat.C. It provides the energy people need.D. It makes people lose their metabolism.15. What is the author’s attitude towards the cause and effect betweencalories and weight gain?A. Supportive.B. Doubtful.C. Objective.D. Indifferent.Speaking with people who are suffering is difficult. (1) Sometimes it's just difficult to know what to say. Words fail us. Here are some tips for talking about illness with loved ones.(2) Visit them, or if that's not possible, just call them. Don't worry if you weren't there in their exact hour of need. It's important to let them know you've been thinking of them and that you regret the delay.Ask specific open questions. Tell me what's been going on with you.” (3)Don't argue with them. You may indeed believe that drinking herb tea is acure-all, or a friend of your friend might well have benefited from a dietary change. If you've given them enough room to talk, you should have a wealth of information about how to help them. (5) Do they like being in the garden? Maybe you've been cutting your own lawn and could bring the mower(割草机) round before you put it away.A. Reach out to your unwell loved one.B. Approach the situation in a gentle manner.C. "Street Vendor Economy” Greatly Increases People's IncomeC. The Whole Nation Are Involved in a New Economy ModelD.China's Major Tech Companies Are Helping With "Street Vendor Economy”CIn Japan many workers for large corporations have a guarantee of lifetime employment. They will not be laid off during recessions or when the tasks they perform are taken over by robots. To some observers, this is capitalism at its best, because workers are treated as people not things. Others see it as necessarily inefficient and believe it cannot continue if Japan is to remain competitive with foreign corporations more concerned about profits and less concerned about people.Defenders of the system argue that those who call it inefficient do not understand how it really works. In the first place not every Japanese worker has the guarantee of a lifetime job. The lifetime employment systemincludes only “regular employees.” Many employees do not fall into this category, including all women. All businesses have many part time and temporary employees. These workers are hired and laid off during the course of the business cycle just as employees in the United States are. These “irregular workers” make up about 10 percent of the nonagricultural work force. Additionally, Japanese firms maintain some flexibility through the extensive use of subcontractors. This practice is much more common in Japan than in the United States. The use of both subcontractors and temporary workers has increased markedly in Japan since the 1974-1975 recession. All this leads some people to argue that the Japanese system really is not all that different from the American system. During recessions Japanese corporations lay off temporary workers and give less business to subcontractors. In the United States, corporations lay off those workers with the least working experience. The difference then is probably less than the term “lifetime employment” suggests, but there still is a difference. And this difference cannot be understood without looking at the values of Japanese society. The relationship between employer and employee cannot be explained in purely contractual terms. Firms hold on to the employees and that employees stay with one firm. There are also practical reasons for not jumping from job to job. Most retirement benefits come from the employer. Changing jobs means losing these benefits. Also, teamwork is an essential part of Japanese production. Moving to a new firm means adapting to a different team and at least temporarily, lower productivity and lower pay.8. According to the passage, a woman in Japan _________.A. cannot get a lifetime jobB. is impossible to get a part time jobC. will be employed for lifeD. is among the regular workers9. Which of the following is NOT the reason why Japanese workers stay with one firm?A. They don’t want to lose their retirement benefits.B. They are not adaptable people.C. Any change of jobs will make them less paid.D. They get used to the teamwork.10. It can be inferred from the passage that _________.A. those who want to change jobs frequently in Japan should think twiceB. those who are first laid off by American corporations are temporary workersC. the use of subcontractors makes Japanese firms less flexibleD. the Japanese system is totally different from the American system11. What does the passage mainly discuss?A. The extremely hard situation during recessions.B. The extensive use of subcontractors in Japan.C. The characteristics of corporations in the United States.D. The features of lifetime employment in Japan.DJennifer Mauer has needed more willpower than the typical college student to pursue her goal of earning a nursing degree. It could help those with food allergies (过敏)understand what they are eating anywhere inthe world. Emojis should cover characters representing major food causing allergies. They make people understand what are used in foods even in foreign countries and safely select meals.Emojis are universal because they are chosen and developed by the Unicode Consortium, a non-profit company that oversees, develops and maintains how text is represented. This is in regards to all software products and standards. It's thanks to the Unicode Standard that when you text a friend six pizza emojis, they’ll see those six pizza pieces on their phone. This is true regardless of whether they use an iPhone or an Android.Because emojis are everywhere and visual(视觉的),they could be helpful for restaurants and food packaging designers. They can communicate whether a product is made with common causing-allergy food. But as Komatsu’s advice argues, many of the most common causing-allergy foods are missing or poorly represented by the presentemoji library. For example, there is an emoji for octopus, but nothing for squid. There is a loaf of bread that could symbolize grain, but a picture of wheat could be clearer. The emojis can be more direct when symbolizing foods. It’s not uncommon for the Unicode Consortium to add new emojis to the library: several food-related emojis were put into use last June, including some long-waited food emojis. Apple included support for multiracial emojis in a recent iOS update. An artist even recreated Moby-Dick in emoji characters. Some might be sorry for the continuing death of the written word if Komatsu’s suggestion is accepted, but look on the bright side: if you ever see that happy poop on a box, you’ll know to stay away.4. How will emojis save lives according to the text?A. By showing what the food contains visually.B. By telling the safest places in the world.C. By teaching people how to treat allergies.D. Like other childhood imaginary friends, Crabby should be a sign thatFisher's mind is growing and developing positively. Indeed, research shows that imaginary friends can help develop children's social skills.Research has shown that the positive effects of having imaginary friends as a child continue into adulthood. Adolescents who remember their imaginary playmates have been found to use more activecoping(应对)styles, such as seeking advice from loved ones rather than bottle things up inside. Even adolescents with behavioral problems who had imaginary friends as children have been found to have better coping skills through the teenage years.Scientists thinkthis could be because these teens have been able to adjust themselves to the social world with imagination rather than choose to be involved in relationships with more difficult classmates. It could also be because the imaginary friends help to reduce these adolescents, loneliness. These teens are also more likely to seek out social connections -they tend to turn to others for advice. Current research by Tori Watson is taking this evidence and looking at how adolescents who have imaginary friends as children deal withbullying(欺凌)at school. It is found that teens who remember their imaginary friends are better at dealing with bullying. While we know a lot about childhood imaginary friends such as Crabby Crab and the positive effects they can have, there is still a lot to learn about imaginary friends.8. What is Crabby crab?A. It is a crab Fisher caught inNorway.B. It is Fisher's imaginary friend.C. It is a toy Fisher like much.D. It is a cause of earache.9. Why do children with imaginary friends have better coping skills?A. Imaginary friends help improve their adjustment.B. Having imaginary friends makes them smarter.C. They have rich imagination.D. They are no longer alone.10. What will a child with imaginary friends probably do if he is bullied?A. Escape from the bully.B. Fight with the bully bravely.C. Keep silent about being bullied.D. Ask a parent or a teacher for help.11. What is the author's attitude towards the effect of imaginary friends?A. Concerned.B. Doubtful.C. Optimistic.D. Indifferent.DNostalgia (怀旧) has become increasingly common in our current climate of accelerated, unexpected change. More and more Americans are turning back with longing towhat feels like simpler, sweeter times. They collect cassette tapes, manual typewriters even decades-old video games. Is it a mistake to get too obsessed with the past? Some psychologists warn that too much devotion to the so-called good old days is an escape from reality; it can indicate loneliness or that a person is having a difficult time coping in the present. Psychologist Stephanie Coontz argues that nostalgia distracts us from addressing the problems of modern life and contribute to anxiety, depression , insomnia etc.But new studies suggest that a modest dose of nostalgia is not only harmless, but actually beneficial. They suggest it helps strengthen our sense of identity and makes us feel more optimistic and inspired. It is also a tool for self — discovery and memories are a psychological immune response that is triggered when you want to take a break from negativity. Interestingly, those happy memories can be particularly beneficial both to kids in their teens and to society's elders. Recalling our childhood reminds us of “the times when we were accepted and loved unconditionally," says Krystine Batcho, a psychologist. "That is such a powerfully comforting phenomenon, knowing that there was a time in life when we didn't have to earn our love." Nostalgia can transform even the most ordinary past into legends which warms the heart and the body. Let's not forget that nostalgia has been a source of inspiration to innumerable American writers. Mark Twain recalled his boyhood, writing, "after all these years, I can picture that old time to myself now, just as it was then:The white town drowsing in the sunshine of a summer's morning."So go ahead, daydream a little about your best childhood friend, your first car, a long - gone family pct. As Dr. Sedikidessays,"Nostalgia is ly central to human experience. "But at the same time, keep these words of wisdom from the great inventor Charles Kettering in mind as well:"You can't have a better tomorrow if you are thinking about yesterday all the time. "312. What did some psychologists in paragraph 2 probably agree?A. Nostalgia will cause some mental problems.B. Nostalgia makes us devoted to the good old days.C. Nostalgia shows you are trying to get rid of loneliness.D. Nostalgia helps us cope with the difficult time we are going through.13. There are many benefits of nostalgia except ________A. It can enable us to know ourselves better.B. It can bring us some comfort when we recall.C. We are likely to gain attention if we recall the happy childhood.D. We can sometimes break away from negativity with happy memories.14. What will be talked about in the following paragraph?A. The bad influence of too much devotion to nostalgia.B. The reasons why we should avoid nostalgia.C. The bad memories that always stick around you.D. The great changes nostalgia will bring to you.15. What's the best title of the passage?A. We all have a soft spot for nostalgia.B. Nostalgia is actually good for you.C. Don't be carried away by nostalgia.D. The past years in my life my parents have told me this saying many times. I've always complained about the quote (引语 ). Although over time I have told myself to learn from it.This year my girlfriend flew off to college in West Palm, Florida. This has been a killer for me because I haven't been able to see her and she is having a rough time in school. The last two months have been hard but we are working through it. I have been trying to get my dad to buy me a plane ticket to go down there. My dad told me if I brought him some money he would help me pay for the ticket. I started to complain to him because I had no way of getting any money to give him. I spent several days and nights thinking of ways to earn moneyto go to see my girlfriend. I finally came to the conclusion that I would get a job and work hard to earn some money to give to my dad. I applied to Safeway and I ended up getting the job.I have been working at Safeway for about a month now and work hard to earn money to go to see my girlfriend. The other day my mum had surprised me and told me that she asked her boss if she could use their business miles (旅费) to buy me a ticket down to Florida for two weeks.I was very thankful and told her I would help pay for anything that I have to. But last summer,Joanna and Henry noticed a change in their older son:suddenly he seemed to be talking more to his friends than to his parents. "The door to his room is always shut," Joanna noted.Tina and Mark noticed similar changes in their 14-year-old daughter. "She used to cuddle up (蜷伏) with me on the sofa and talk," said Mark. "Now we joke that she does this only when she wants something. Sometimes she wants to be treated like a little girl and sometimes like a young lady. The problem is figuring out which time is which."Before age 11, children like to tell their parents what's on their minds. "In fact, parents are first on the list," said Michael Riera, author of Uncommon Sense for Parents with Teenagers. "This completely changes during the teen years," Riera explained. "They talk to their friends first, then maybe their teachers, and their parents last."Parents who know what's going on in their teenagers' lives are in the best position to help them. To break down the wall of silence, parents should create chances to understand what their children want to say, and tryto find ways to talk and write to them. And they must give their children a mental break, for children also need freedom, though young. Another thing parents should remember is that to be a friend ,not a manager, with their children is a better way to know them.39. Previous research suggests that the ability to control energy intake may be affected by the speed at which we eat, and a high eating rate may damage the relationship between the sensory signals and processes that control how much we eat.In order to learn more about the link between eating speed and energy intake, researchers examined how eating speed affects calories consumed during a meal in both normal-weight subjects as well as overweight or obese subjects. In the new study, a group of normal-weight subjects and a group of overweight or obese subjects were asked to consume two meals in a controlled environment. Allsubjects ate one meal slowly, took small bites, chewed thoroughly, and paused and put the spoon down between bites, and ate a second meal qu. ickly, took large bites, chewed quickly, and did not pause and put the spoon down. At the conclusion of the study, the researchers found only normal-weight subjects had a statistically significant reduction in caloric consumption by eating slowly. "A lack of statistical significance in the overweight and obese group may be partly due to the fact that they consumed less food during both eating conditions compared to the normal-weight subjects," Professor Meena Shah said, "it is possible that the overweight and obese subjects felt more self-conscious, and thus ate less during the study."Despite the differences in caloric consumption between the normal-weight and overweight and obese subjects, the study found some similarities. Both groups felt less hungry later on after the slow meal than after the fast meal, which indicates that greater hunger suppression (抑制) among both groups could be expected from a meal consumed more slowly. Also, both the normal-weight and overweight or obese groupsconsumed more water during the slow meal. "The higher water intake during the slow eating condition may have affected food consumption," said Shah. According to Shah, slowing the speed of eating may help suppress hunger levels and "may even improve the enjoyment of a meal". The findings were published in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.43. What does the previous study have in common with the new one?A. Eating too fast may impair your stomach.B. There is a link between eating speed and energy intake.C. Eating at a slow speed may help feel hungry.D. Eating rate may affect processes controlling how much we eat.44. What should the subjects do during the research?A. One group should eat slowly while the other one quickly.B. Both groups could totally eat the meals at any speed as they liked.C. Both groups had to consume one meal in controlled eating conditions.D. Both groups were asked to eat one meal slowly while the other quickly.45. What caused the lack of statistically significant reduction in the overweight and obese group?A. They were told not to eat a lot.B. They ate less food on purpose.C. They lost consciousness in the study.D. In the study they had no appetite to eat.46. What is the passage mainly about?A. Water intake may have affected food consumption.B. New research findings about how to control eating rate.C. A study about the link between eating speed and energy intake.D. One may feel less hungry later on after the slow meal than after the fast meal.E"Oh, my God! Did I really just send that text?" Most people have said something that they wish they could take back. And if they had paused to think about it first, they probably would have acted differently. Pausing doesn't pay off just when you speak. Scientific studieshave shown that making a habit of pausing before you do something can actually have a big impact on how your life turns out. In making decisions we rely on two areas of the brain. One area creates and processes emotions; the other governs logical thought. The type of decision, how we feel about it, and how prepared we are to handle it help determine which brain area has the most influence. But our age also plays an important role. Thinking through the consequences of one's actions is actually harder for teens because the area controlling logical thought is not fully developed until around age 25. This is why teens often feel an intense emotional drive to act impulsivelymit's how their brains are structured! Though this tendency to act without considering the outcomes can lead to problematic situations, impulsivity during the developmental years evolves because it makes teens more open to new experiences and ideas. This openness helps teens to become independent adults. The key to making impulsivity work for youminstead of against you~is to train your brain by practicing pausing. This doesn't mean you stop taking risks or beingopen to new experiences. But you won't know if the risk is worth it until you think it through. Deciding to take a risk based on logic shows self-control, not impulsivity. What are different ways to pause? You might take a deep breath, count to 10, or ask "Is this worth it?" different strategies work for different people. Whatever works for you, keep doing it! By practicing pausing, you can actually change your brain. This means that over time, pausing, instead of immediately reacting, becomes your "natural" response. And with this change, people are on their way to enjoying the life rewards that come with high levels of self-control---even if they weren't natural-born pausers!47. What challenges teenagers?A. Giving natural response.B. Making logical decision.C. Acting before thorough thinking.D. Choosing brain-training strategies.48. An impulsive person tends to____.A. consider or accept new ideasB. changeideas frequentlyC. think through a risk in advanceD. show high level of self-control49. According to the passage, by training one's brain, one can____.A. stop taking risksB. fully develop one's brainC. become more open to new experienceD. reduce the influence of emotional drive50. I was frightened, nervous and lonely. To make matters worse, I recalled my failure again and again, which put more pressure on me than I could bear. As a result, I was always feeling down during class time. My teacher found me spiritless. One day he asked me to come to his office and told me about his attitude towards life: we might suffer from mistakes, but it's important to learn lessons from them. All the pains and the embarrassing things we experience are part of the process. So keep up your spirit! At last, he added, "If you are optimistic, things you want may happen to you!" Some entrants hoped that science would make their lifetimes much longer than they can currently expect. Many looked forward to work that will end climate change. Others wanted to see advances in our understanding of human history, crop growth, space exploration, and medical technologies. The ideas were inspiring. The winner is a compelling essay by Yasmin Ali, a PhD student at the University of Nottingham, UK. Ali submitted a piece on Beethoven, her brother’s hearing loss and the science which she hoped would one day cure it. It stood out to the judges as a reminder of why many scientists do research: to make the world better tomorrow than it is today. All essays were judged by a group of Nature editors. The top ten submissions were then ranked by three members of a separate judging group: Magdalena Skipper, editor-in-chief of Nature; Faith Osier, a researcher; and Jess Wade, a physicist. All submissions were kept anonymous throughout the process. We also selected two runners-up(非冠军的获奖者).Physicist Robert Schittkoat Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, proposes that nuclear fusion(核聚变) could offer a solution to the climate crisis, in a piece that effortlessly mixes grand ambition with gentle humour. One possible version
Dear classmates,
With the entrance examination for college drawing near, many of us feel nervous recently. Some suffer from lack of sleep, and others lose their appetite, which have terrible effects on their studies, possibly leading to a bad performance in the examination .
Therefore, we are all eager to get rid of them. First of all, it’s important for us to have a good attitude towards the examination. It resembles hundreds of our other examinations, so there is no need to worry too much about it. Besides, in order to concentrate on our revision more effectively, we’d better keep a properly-relaxing time-table to make sure we are energetic by participating in a variety of after-school activities.
I do hope that all of us stay relaxed and confident about the exam, and that we will all pass the examination easily and will be admitted to dreaming universities .
Best wishes.
Yours,
Li Hua。
