第一章：A的奥秘——从苹果到成就字母A，是英语字母表的第一个字母，也是英语单词中最常见的字母之一。
它发音多样，既可以是短元音/æ/，如同apple（苹果）中的发音，也可以是长元音/eɪ/，如同name（名字）中的发音。
•A的发音:/æ/ (cat, hat, map), /eɪ/ (name, make, fate), /ɑː/ (father, car, heart) 等等。
我们需要根据具体的单词和语境来判断A的发音。

英语绘本阅读教学的多面性——以攀登阅读阅读系列之《有趣的字母》为例
21神州教育英语绘本阅读教学的多面性——以攀登阅读阅读系列之《有趣的字母》为例陈美琼广东省佛山市南海区丹灶镇中心小学绘本也叫做图画书，英文称Picture.Book，顾名思义就是“画出来的书”。
即指一类以绘画为主，兼附有少量文字的书籍。
绘本图书以低幼儿童阅读为主，内容涉及文学、教育、科普等。
英语阅读对于中国人来说属于第二语言的阅读，对于小学来说绘本是最好的阅读材料。
而中国儿童英语学习中最大的两个问题是输入量不够和接触频度不够。
市面上很少适合中国国情，适合中国儿童的绘本。
攀登英语阅读系列就是在这样的情况下应世而生，“攀登英语阅读系列”的设计依托最新的儿童认知和语言学习理论。
每个故事都生动有趣、耐人寻味，每一幅图画都构思精巧、富有创意。
这些图画书能让每个孩子爱上英语，爱上阅读。
在使用《有趣的字母》进行阅读实验研究后，我发现，原来使用绘本来进行阅读教学可以真正实现阅读教学的多面性，真正完成美国的《阅读第一法案》阅读定义的五个部分。
下面我从三方面论述绘本阅读教学的多面性。
一、绘本阅读让阅读教学和词汇教学有效融合，增大词汇量。
如何把阅读教学和词汇教学融合一体，既做到词不离句，句不离篇，又做到词句篇的有机递进？这主要通过辅音字母教学来实现，老师首先归纳出目标字母的所有词汇，选择符合规则的单词制作成单词卡片，让学生尝试拼读，稍微复杂点的单词老师引导学生拆分音节后再拼读，然后让学生在阅读中找出各本书里的主要句型，最后到篇章的理解。
为了引导学生更深入的挖掘故事，笔者和同事及实习老师一起，对《有趣的字母》的每一本书都做了探讨，目标是解决：提哪些问题即浅显易懂，又能引导学生深入理解故事。
事实证明，集体的力量是强大的，通过探讨，可以发掘很多一个人无法考虑到的问题，比如字母Ww-I’m.a.Witch，两个witch 斗法过程中把一系列的童话故事串起来，老师可以由本篇阅读延伸到其他童话阅读，扩展阅读的范围和趣味性，而课堂事实证明，良好的引导可以激发学生无穷想象力，不管是在朗读的语调上还是在后续故事的猜测上，引导学生发掘文本除文字外的其他内涵，把调动阅读教学的趣味性放在首位。
