This was just the beginning of King's leadership in the civil rights movement.King went on to organize and lead several peaceful protests, including the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in 1963, where he delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech. He also played a key role in the Selma to Montgomery march in 1965, which led to the Voting Rights Act being passed.However, King was not without opposition and faced a great deal of discrimination and violence in his efforts for societal change. He was arrested over 30 times, his home was bombed, and he waseventually assassinated in 1968.But his legacy lives on. King's message of non-violent resistance and civil disobedience inspired millions around the world to stand up against oppression and injustice. His contribution to the civil rights movement led to the passing of several key pieces of legislation, including the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.In addition to his activism, King was also a prolific writer and scholar, publishing several books and articles throughout his career. This seat was called the Siege Perilous, and was reserved for the knight so pure in heart that he would someday find the Holy Grail, the c up or dish used by Jesus at the Last Supper.Any other knight who sat in the seat would die. Other famous Round Table Knights included Lancelot, Bedevere, Bors, Galahad , Perceval and Modred.The greatest adventure of the Round Table was the search for the Holy Grail. This fact damaged the reputation of the Round Table. To m ake things worse, a love affair developed between Queen Guenevere an d Sir Lancelot, who was perhaps the greatest of the Round Table knights .
