I am a graduate student from institute of water conservancy and civil engineering of Xinjiang Agricultural University.My discipline direction is the water conservancy, hydropower and hydraulic structure of cold-arid areas. And the primary research field is hydraulic structure and hydraulic construction materials, which mainly researches the application of new materials for dam core in water conservancy project, including asphalt concrete and cemented sand gravel. According to the requirements of practical engineering, my supervisor, Pro.f ***, tentatively determined my research direction to be the application of cemented sand gravel in water conservancy project. And this research direction is just what I like to work with. I have accumulated lots of experience and professional knowledge during my undergraduate period. I look forward to getting further development and improvement both in profession and practice in the next three years.

Cemented sand gravel is a new type of building materials which has been developed in recent years. It is in according with the building concept of “suitable material and suitable compose”. With so many advantages, such as high safety, environmental protection and high-efficiency construction, cemented sand gravel has a good application prospect. This kind of material is characterized by aggregate without screening, high anti-seismic and overload ability, strong foundation adaptation, uniform stress distribution, low stress level and less material usage. Moreover, Cemented sand gravel has significant advantage on optimizingthe structure arrangement, saving engineering investment, adapting environment, protecting ecology and realizing fast construction. At present, researchers abroad have made a lot of studies on cemented sand gravel and reached a number of cutting-edge scientific research achievements, while the domestic relatively backward. Cemented sand gravel has been fully used due to the special geographical environment of Xinjiang, which making Xinjiang rank forefront nationwide in this research field. Nowadays, the problems of land desertification and soil erosion are increasingly serious. Since the limitation of funds and scientific research ability, there are still many important technical problems and application issues have not been yet resolved. Lacking of construction experience and shorting of technology development have a significant effect on each units. For example, the owner units did not dare to try, project units can not design and construction unitsare not qualified on technology.My research direction is to solve the problems above mentioned through conducting a lot of experiments. Such as, the sand gravel aggregate particle size distributionoptimization, the selection and dosage of admixture, the influence for aggregate of different acid and alkaline on strength and durability, gelation and gravel mixture ratio design, and so on.Cemented sand gravel can be used to do targeted treatment. The studies of cemented sand gravel can prompt the development of construction industry and improve the circumstances of human living and natural ecological environment.
