Graduation Ceremony English Speech Dear Students, Faculty, Families, and Friends,It is an honor to stand here today as we celebrate our achievements and look towards the future. As we gather together as graduates, we are reminded of the journey that brought us to this moment. For many of us, this journey started years ago with a dream. A dream to pursue an education, to gain knowledge and skills, and to make a difference in the world. We faced challenges along the way, but we never gave up. We studied hard, worked long hours, and persevered through both success and failure. Now, as we stand here today, we can say with confidence that our hard work has paid off. We have earned our diplomas, and we are ready to embark on the next chapter of our lives. But graduation is not just about the past and the present. It is also about the future. As we move forward, we will face new challenges and opportunities. We will encounter new people and cultures. And we will continue to learn and grow.So what does the future hold for us? It is impossible to say for certain, but I believe that we have the power to shape our own destiny. We have the power to choose our own path, to set our own goals, and to make our own mark on the world. As we do so, we should always remember the values that brought us here today. Values such as hard work, perseverance, and dedication. But also values such as kindness, compassion, and empathy. In closing, I would like to congratulate each and every one of us on our graduation. We have achieved something truly remarkable, and we should be proud of ourselves. But let us also remember that this is just the beginning. Let us continue to learn, to grow, and to make a positive impact on the world.Thank you.。

毕业学生演讲稿英语范文

Today, we stand on the precipice of a new chapter in our lives. This moment is not just a culmination of our academic journey, but also the beginning of a lifelong adventure. As we gather here today, I want to share with you a few thoughts that have been swirling in my mind.Firstly, I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported me throughout my college years. To my professors, thank youfor your invaluable knowledge, patience, and guidance. Your dedication has been an inspiration to us all. To my fellow students, thank you for the friendships, the laughter, and the countless memories we have created together. Your camaraderie has made this journey worthwhile. As we reflect on our time here, we must acknowledge the challenges we have faced. The academic rigor, the long nights spent studying, and the moments of doubt have all contributed to our growth. But it is through these challenges that we have learned resilience, adaptability, and the importance of perseverance.Today, we are the recipients of a prestigious degree, but it is not the degree itself that defines us. It is the experiences, the relationships, and the knowledge we have gained that truly shape us. We have learned to think critically, to communicate effectively, and to embrace diversity. These skills will serve us well as we embark on our respective paths. As we move forward, it is important to remember that success is not solely measured by our achievements or the titles we hold. True success lies in the impact we make on others, the lives we touch, and the positive change we bring to the world. Let us be the architects of our own destinies, driven by a passion for making a difference. In the spirit of this, I would like to share with you a quote from Nelson Mandela: "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." We have been equipped with this powerful weapon, and it is now our responsibility to use it wisely. Let us use our education to promote justice, equality, and peace. Let us use our voices to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Let us use our actions to inspire others to do the same.As we leave this institution, we must also be prepared to embrace change. The world is constantly evolving, and we must be willing to adapt and grow with it. Let us not be afraid to step out of our comfort zones, to take risks, and to pursue our dreams. Remember, the only limit to what we can achieve is the one we place on ourselves. In closing, I want to remind you that today is not just a celebration of our achievements, but also a farewell to the familiar. As we move forward, let us carry with us the values and lessons we have learned here. Let us cherish the memories we have created and the friendships we have forged. And let us never forget the gratitude we have for those who have supported us along the way.To my fellow graduates, let us embrace this new chapter with courage, determination, and a sense of purpose. Together, we will make adifference in this world, and we will leave an indelible mark on history.Congratulations, class of [Year]. Go forth and make your mark!Thank you.。

After five years of hard work, the students here have successfully completed their primary school study. They are about to bid farewell to their golden childhood and enter a new journey. First of all, on behalf of all the teachers in the primary school, let me express my heartfelt congratulations to you.At this moment, looking at your innocent and happy smiling faces, my eyes seem to emerge every bit of your school. Five years, we walk hand in hand, the small classroom, sprinkled our laughter, wrote down the figure of our struggle, engraved our heroic oath. We get along day and night. We are teachers and students in class and friends after class. We have established a deep relationship between teachers and students. Looking back on the past five years, it seems that it happened yesterday, and every teacher will never forget: the first time you walked into the beautiful and tidy dormitory, lying on the comfortable cot, that excited look; When you first put on the red scarf under the bright national flag, you look solemn; After your own extracurricular learning, you can show your artistic talents on the stage; You use your diligence to repay the teachers fruitful results: in all kinds of competitions held throughout the country, you have achieved good results many times and won many praises for the school! In the past five years, in the fertile soil of Nanshanbilingual school primary school, with the care of school leaders and the careful cultivation of teachers, and with the active cooperation and strong support of parents, you have grown into a vigorous youth.School is not only the cradle of your growth, you are here to fly the ideal, sowing hope. But today, you are going to bid farewell to your alma mater. The teacher sincerely hopes that you can open up a new situation in the new semester and write your wonderful learning life with a never say die self-confidence! Bill Gates, the king of computer software, once said: "the secret of my success is not to do something, but to understand what I dont do..." so the teacher hopes that you can distinguish rightfromwrong, abide by the law, make good use of your words and deeds, and be an upright person. The reason why eagles fly high and fly freely in the blue sky is that they have a pair of hard wings that have been honed by storms, cold and heat. May you fly high bravely like eagles to welcome a brighter tomorrow and embrace the more dazzling sun. Finally, I hope you can use the green of youth to brew a rich golden autumn in the future!I wish you success in your studies and a bright future!毕业典礼演讲稿英语作文(精选篇2)There are many memorable things, I have had a particularly memorable things, that is my primary school graduation party. We’ve seen ‘1,000-year floods’ hit the Midwestern and Southern United States multiple times in a decade. And we’ve seen record-breaking wildfires ravage California and record-breaking typhoons kill thousands in the Philippines. This is a true crisis. And if we fail to rise to the occasion, your generation, your children, and grandchildren will pay a terrible price. So scientists know there can be no delay in taking action – and many government and political leaders around the world are starting to understand that.Yet here in the United States, our federal government is seeking to become the only country in the world to withdrawfromthe Paris Climate Agreement – the only one. Not even North Korea is doing that. Those in Washington who deny the science of climate change are no more based in reality than those who believe the moon landing was faked. And while the moon landing conspiracy theorists are relegated to the paranoid corners of talk radio, climate skeptics occupy the highest positions of power in the United States government. Now, in the administration’s defense, climate change, they say, is only a theory – yeah, like gravity is only a theory.People can ignore gravity at their own risk, at least until they hit the ground. But when they ignore the climate crisis, they are not only putting themselves at risk, they are putting all humanity at risk.毕业典礼演讲稿英语作文(精选篇5)Dear teachers and studentshello everyone! The years are in a hurry, and the flowers are blooming and falling. In a twinkling of an eye, the words of six years of primary school students have passed like clouds. However, my heart is still very attached to my alma mater. After six years of primary school life, I can usher in a strange school gate. Here, many memories are clearly reflected in my mind. From the first day of the first grade, I came to this mysterious and strange campus. Day by day in the past, the blink of an eye to the second grade. Once, my friends and I were chasing each other on the playground. We were very happy. Without waiting to be happy, a sudden pain happened to me. There was a classmate who stretched out his foot, but at that time I was still completely immersed in the game. One of them didnt pay attention and was knocked down. But because of my confusion, half of my face fell out of blood, just like the face was destroyed. At that time, the players were stunned and dull for two seconds before they realized that I was wrestling. Some of my friends wipe my face with paper towel while walking, while others hold me, showing great concern and anxiety in their eyes. At that time, my tears have been spinning in my eyes, moving tears have been flowing down.I still remember that when I held the sports meeting, I chose two events, both of which were running, but I was just making trouble. I ran the 100 meter race first, and I came last. I was very discouraged, but the teacher came to comfort me and encouraged me all the time. One day later, it was my 200 meter run, and I was the last runner. The teacher not only didnt say that I was useless, but also encouraged me all the time, saying that you will get good results in the next race. I also want toget good grades very much. Im born without motor cells. No matter how I practice, I cant even get up. In sports, I may be a Dou that I cant help.Goodbye, dear alma mater, the past events in your arms are still fresh in my mind. They are the shining pearls in our memory warehouse; In your arms, we become sensible from ignorance; In your arms, we grow from childish to mature; In your arms, we have changed from timidity to bravery. Dear students, please remember that we are together bit by bit, day and night, let our friendship last forever.毕业典礼演讲稿英语作文(精选篇6)Instead of challenging Americans to believe in our ability to master the universe, as President Kennedy did, the current administration is pandering to the skeptics who, in the 1960s, looked at the space program and only saw short-term costs and long-term benefits.President Kennedy’s era earned the nickname, ‘The Greatest Generation’– not only because they persevered through the Great Depression and won the Second World War. They earned it because of determination to rise, to pioneer, to innovate, and to fulfill the promise of American freedom. They dreamed in moonshots. They reached for the stars. And they began to redeem – through the Civil Rights Movement – the failures of the past. They set the standard for leadership and service to our nation’s ideals. Now, your generation has the opportunity to join them in the history books. The challenge that lies before you – stopping climate change –is unlike any other ever faced by humankind. The stakes could not be higher. If left unchecked, the climate change crisis threatens to destroy oceanic life that feeds so many people on this planet. It threatens to breed war by spreading drought and hunger. It threatens to sink coastal communities, devastate farms and businesses, and spread disease.。

1Commencement is a milestone—one of life’s landmark occasions, a time when graduates, family members, and friends gather to celebrate past and future. At the University of Michigan, Spring Commencement is a festive, campus-wide event where graduates are recognized by their school or college as a group, and honorary degrees are conferred. In addition to Spring Commencement, which all graduates are welcome to attend, each school, college and campus hold individual ceremonies to celebrate their graduates’ accomplishments.Class of 20xx, Congratulations!I join your professors, family members and friends in expressing my utmost pride as we celebrate your accomplishments as the newest graduates of the University of Michigan.Graduates, you did it!Each one of you earned a place here – and you made the most of it.I know that for many of you, the road to get here was not easy. Perhaps you traversed some potholes along the way.I have it on the highest authority, however, that these potholes are about to be filled, and the roads are going to get fixed …But for those of you who are first-generation students, military veterans, or from communities, cities and towns thatdon’t send many students to Michigan –I hope you are especially relishing this day.As members of the Class of 20xx, all of you have conquered the rigors of our curricula. You exceled in your studies, your research, your advocacy and your service. You found ways to navigate central campus, when we decided to renovate the LS&A building and the Union at the same time. And you even survived a polar vortex – with not one, but TWO, days of canceled classes.Since we are here, you must have used that time to study.演讲稿英语2We live in an era of accelerating change where often as a society and as individuals we seem to be struggling to keep up.Graduation is all about change. And at Michigan that means it’s not only about the change in you, it’s about the changes you will contribute to in society. In the fall of 20xx, when many of you started as undergraduates here at Michigan, our world was a different place.Me Too was not yet a hashtag. The event horizon of a black hole had never been imaged. And midterm voter turnout on university campuses across the country was just 19 percent. Each of these examples, in their own way, demonstrates the often long and difficult path to change. The Me T oo Movement was founded in 20xx by activist and sexual assault survivor Tarana Burke. Burke wanted to provide a place for survivors to tell their stories, for empathy, and for healing. She spent more than a decade persevering and advocating on the behalf of those whose stories are marginalized, or not told at all. Then the idea she started went viral, transforming intoglobal conversation and, we must hope, change. The image of the black hole event horizon presented last month required two years of computer analysis, data from 8 observatories on three continents, and a team of 200 scientists, which included 20xx U-M Electrical Engineering graduate Katie Bouman. We have now seen what had previously been described as un-seeable, and pushed the frontiers of knowledge to the darkest regions of the universe. And during the 20xx midterm election, Tufts University reports that youth turnout increased in every state for which they have data. In 27 states, it rose by double digits.Plus, precincts that serve Big Ten campuses saw their turnout increase by an average of 24 percentage points. This is more than double the increase in nearby areas, indicating that students made their voice heard. Higher turnout was a goal of the Big Ten Voting Challenge. Well done!Choosing to commit to the work needed to make change, and see it through, can produce amazing results – but it can also frustrate.Change doesn’t happen in a straight line. It’s messy. It can take years, or even decades. But when it is founded on principled dedication, collaboration, and hope – all the ingredients are in place. Our campus has wonderful examples.演讲稿英语3Last month we opened our Trotter Multicultural Center on State Street. This inspirational new home devoted to unity, peace and understanding brings together people from all backgrounds, in a building planned and designed in collaboration withstudents. It was an historic change for our campus — and it was made possible by a legacy of student activism. Members of our Black Student Union, past and present, shared their experiences on our campus and their aspirations for a better Michigan. Some are even graduating today. They mobilized their fellow students and called on, and worked with, the university to create the new Trotter. And while our work to enhance diversity, equity and inclusion is far from finished, the University of Michigan is changed for the better.Another member of the Class of 20xx used the power of journalism to create change. In March of 20xx, Kevin Sweitzer wrote an editorial in the Michigan Daily criticizing the name of a house in our West Quad residence hall. Winchell House had been named after a 19th century U-M professor, whose published work supported white supremacy. In 20xx, Kevin submitted a formal request under the process we established to reconsider the names of university spaces. After a review by our prominent committee of historians, humanists, and many other experts, we removed the Winchell name.Kevin is graduating today, from a university changed for the better.CSG President Daniel Greene, who also graduates today, spent much of his time in office advocating for greater affordability, food security, mental health services, and diversity. The results produced by CSG this year include a housing survey, the expansion of a food pantry for students in need, greater mental health awareness, and a plan to help student organizations achieve their full potential.演讲稿英语4As Daniel goes on to Teach for America, he leaves a university that is changed for the better. The changes you have seen on campus and around the globe also provide a roadmap that can serve as a guide to the changes you can create in society.Purposefully contributing to change requires courage, trust, and the willingness to listen and consider many voices. It works best when trust is built by finding common ground, and when we reject the view that it is “us versus them” — that there must be winners and losers. This is how we can overcome the erosion of trust and begin to collaborate to work through differences. It takes courage to open ourselves up to opinions and interpretations we don’t agree with. But it’s also how we learn, sharpen our own arguments, and hone our ability to persuade others.Your time at Michigan has provided a wonderful proving ground to develop your ability to create change. Where else can you seek solutions among such talented scholars, all pursuing knowledge and understanding to advance a quintessentially public mission?U-M is a place where data and evidence matter, where all voices can be heard, and where talented and hard-working students emerge as leaders and best.演讲稿英语5Our passion for change is why we are the nation’s No. 1 public research university. It’s why the discovery process has been a foundational centerpiece of our Michigan DNA for more than 200 years. It’s why we strive, always, to extend our impact beyond the borders of our campus – to the communities we serve, and to the frontiers of human knowledge that now span galaxies. It’s why I hope you are asking, on the day of your graduation, what you can change next. The challenges we face as a society are numerous and complex – from climate change to poverty to conflict between nations. But these and many other challenges can unite us as we strive for change – if we choose the path of courage.Listen to different views.Trust one another.Find common ground. And commit to the discussions and the discoveries that can produce a better world.Class of 20xx, our society is yours to change.Seek out new evidence, develop new methods, and consider many points of view. And choose the path that will make ours a better world – as you Go discover, Go achieve, Go serve, and Go Blue!。

The future holds endless possibilities, and we must be ready to embrace them.As we move forward, we must be prepared to face the challenges that lie ahead. The world is constantly evolving, and we must be adaptable and resilient. We must be willing to learn, to grow, and to embrace change. Ladies and Gentlemen, esteemed faculty, proud parents, and fellow graduates,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is with great honor and a mix of emotions that I stand before you today to address this esteemed assembly. Today, we gather to celebrate the culmination of our academic journey, a journey that has been filled with challenges, triumphs, and countless moments of growth. As we stand on the threshold of a new chapter, I want to share some thoughts on the path ahead and the legacy we are about to leave behind.Firstly, let me express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported us along the way. To our parents, who have been our rock and our cheerleaders, thank you for your unwavering love and support. To our teachers, who have guided us through the complexities of knowledge and life, your dedication has been a beacon of inspiration. To our friends, who have shared laughter and tears with us, your friendship has been a source of strength. And to ourselves, for the resilience and determination to reach this milestone, we commend you.As we reflect on our time at this institution, it is impossible not to acknowledge the incredible opportunities and experiences that have shaped us into the individuals we are today. From the rigorous academic pursuits that have honed our critical thinking skills, to the extracurricular activities that have fostered our passions and talents, this journey has been a tapestry of diverse threads that have woven together to create a unique masterpiece. One of the most significant lessons I have learned during my time hereis the power of adaptability. The world is constantly changing, and with it, the demands placed upon us. We have been taught to embrace change,to be flexible, and to pivot when necessary. This adaptability willserve us well as we step into the unknown that lies ahead. As we prepare to embark on our individual journeys, it is crucial to remember the importance of purpose. We have all been taught to strivefor excellence, but excellence without purpose is like a ship without a compass. We must find our calling, the reason that drives us to wake upeach morning and pursue our dreams. Whether it be to make a differencein the world, to contribute to a specific field, or to simply live a fulfilling life, purpose will be our guiding star.In the pursuit of our goals, it is equally important to cultivate resilience. Life will not always be smooth sailing; there will be storms, challenges, and setbacks. But it is our ability to persevere through these tough times that defines us. Resilience is not the absence of failure, but the courage to rise from it. As we navigate thecomplexities of the future, let us remember that our strength lies notin the absence of obstacles, but in our ability to overcome them.Furthermore, we must embrace the power of empathy and compassion. In an increasingly interconnected world, our ability to understand and carefor others will be the cornerstone of our success. It is through empathy that we can bridge divides, foster collaboration, and build stronger communities. Let us carry this spirit of kindness and understanding into our future endeavors. As we leave this institution, we carry with us a wealth of knowledge, experiences, and memories. But it is the lessons we have learned thatwill truly shape our future. Here are a few that I believe are worth mentioning:1. The importance of self-awareness: We must understand our strengthsand weaknesses, and be willing to learn and grow from them.2. The value of collaboration: No man is an island, and by working together, we can achieve greatness.3. The power of perseverance: The road to success is often filled with obstacles, but it is our determination that will carry us through.4. The significance of gratitude: We should always be thankful for the opportunities and blessings that come our way.As we stand on the precipice of a new era, let us not forget the legacy we are about to leave behind. Let us be the architects of a better future, one that is characterized by innovation, compassion, andprogress. Let us be the generation that dares to dream big, to take risks, and to make a lasting impact. In closing, I want to leave you with a quote from the great Nelson Mandela: "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Today, we are equipped with this powerful weapon. Let us use it wisely, let us use it to create a brighter tomorrow.Congratulations, Class of [Year]. The future is ours to shape, and together, we will make it extraordinary.Thank you.。

(I know that because I get a sneak peek at those remarks.) But I wish you could also have heard the two talks given at last December’s winter commencements.Jordan Cebulla told of being a poor student in high school here locally who almost abandoned any idea of higher education. But, told by a family friend that Lafayette is, quote, “a gritty town full of gritty people,” he gave Ivy T ech a try. And four years later, he is a Purdue alum. He told his classmates, “In the end, if we quit on ourselves, everyone else will quit on us, t oo.”In his response speech, Seon Shoopman confided that, out of sixteen schools he applied to, Purdue was the only one to admit him, provided he attend our summer boot camp. Three and a half years later, he, too, earned his Purdue degree, with honors, becoming the first in his family to graduate from college. Seon said that, more than any other motive, he wanted to do it for the mother who had pushed him all the way. “When I wanted to quit, she told me not to. When I wanted to leave school, she told me not to. She told me to fight, be strong, and make something of myself.”Some in today’s world think they have discovered something new in the concept of “grit.” A Harvard Business School article just last fall was titled “Organizational Grit,” and reported th at, quote, “High achievers have extraordinary stamina. ... When easier paths beckon, their commitment issteadfast. Grit predicts who will accomplish challenging goals.” So that’s why a Harvard MBA costs 200 grand.英语演讲稿2Maybe this is all revelatory at Harvard. But in our part of the country, it’s not news. The slogan of the Whiteland (Indiana) High School Class of 1930 was “Grit Wins.” It could be a slogan at Purdue every year. I’m tempted to call Roget’s Thesaurus and let them know the antonym of “snowflake” is “Boilermaker.”Just as physical strength is built through hard exercise, emotional fortitude is enhanced by adversity and conflict. Every great achievement requires a confrontation with stress, a conquest of fear. Our engineers know, there is no traction without friction. Wilbur Wright, father of the aviation world Purdue now leads, wrote, “No bird soars in a calm.” Your strength of intellect and character will give you opportunities to lead, but it will be your strength of purpose, your resilience, your grit that will enable you to lead successfully, and by your example, to give new heart and strength to those around you. There’s one sure way to minimize stress and difficulty in life: attempt nothing that’s bold, challenge nothing that’s wrong, risk nothing that’s dangerous. Those endeavors always bring disappointment, frustration, criticism, setbacks. But they also are the source of the achievements that make life fulfilling, and the even greater grit that will get you ready for the next challenge. From opposite ends of life’s continuum, and I offer you two closing examples of the qualities I hope you have built here at this institution. Both stories involve Purdue students even younger than you are today.英语演讲稿3Last December, we said goodbye to a great man. A great man, but a typical Boilermaker. In his 94 years, Fred Fehsenfeld built a series of businesses that employed and enriched thousands of people around Indiana and the world. A model for what we now call lifelong learning, he was always on top of the latest technology, always conceiving large new projects and looking far into a future he could not possibly live to see. And modest about his achievements every step of the way.He almost didn’t get the chance to do any of that. On his 18th birthday, in 1942, he left his freshman dorm room in Cary Hall and enlisted in the Army. He flew 86 missions over Europe with a storied unit in which almost half his fellow pilots were killed in action. In an oral history of his experiences, Fred told of his first close-air dogfight combat. He was low to the ground, with bullets everywhere, and death perhaps an instant away. The interviewer asked, “What were you thinking at a moment like that?” Fred answered, “I was thinking, I finally got a chance to make some G erman pay for yanking me out of Purdue University.” He survived the war, came back, still younger than most of you, to finish his M.E. degree and lead a life of epic accomplishment.英语演讲稿4God willing, none of you will face at any age the kind of dangers and fears that Fred and Tyler did. But they, and so many others like them, have left us all a legacy that provides perspective and proportion for those inevitable moments when the pressures and disappointments of life get us down.Don’t misunderstand this, but I wish for you many such tough moments. You can easily avoid them; just lead a safely inconsequential life: run no risks, confront no injustice, accept noroles of leadership. But that’s not the path we expect you to choose. You are about to become graduates of Purdue University, which, throughout its history, has supplied leaders to a world that needs them now as rarely before.Long after you leave us, your senior year will be remembered as the year of Tyler Trent. His is a story I need not recount; everyone here knows who he was, and how he faced a situation for which words like “adversity” and “stress” don’t come close. He impacted more people, and left deeper footprints, than most who will enjoy lives several times longer than his. We’ll never forget you, Tyler.英语演讲稿5Leaders with the academic preparation to solve mind-bending technological challenges. With the moral character to help society navigate times of blurringly fast change, in ways that are ethical, equitable, and humanistic. Most of all, with the inner strength to take on the burdens of high responsibility, and the heat, envy, and hostility that comes with them, and deliver the positive change that human progress requires. You showed the quality of grit before you arrived here. That’s why we admitted you. I hope that your days here, with a faculty that pushed and stretched you, and classmates like Jordan and Seon to inspire you, built your reserves of resilience.。

毕业典礼英文演讲稿篇1you all are leaving your alma mater now. i have no gift to present you all except a piece of advice.what i would like to advise is that "don’t give up your study." most of the courses you have taken are partly for your certificate. you had no choice but to take them. from now on, you may study on your own. i would advise you to work hard at some special field when you are still young and vigorous. your youth will be gone that will never come back to you again. when you are old, and when your energy are getting poorer, you will not be able to as you wish to. even though you have to study in order to make a living, studies will never live up to you. making a living without studying, you will be shifted out in three or five years. at this time when you hope to make it up, you will say it is too late. perhaps you will say, "after graduation and going into the society, we will meet with an urgent problem, that is, to make a living. for this we have no time to study. even though we hope to study, we have no library nor labs, how can we study further?"i would like to say that all those who wait to have a library will not study further even though they have one and all these who wait to have a lab will not do experiments even though they have one. when you have a firm resolution and determination to solve a problem, you will naturally economize on food and clothing.as for time, i should say it’s not a problem. you may knowthat every day he could do only an hour work, not much more than that because darwin was ill for all his life. you must have read his achievements. every day you spend an hour in reading 10 useful pages, then you will read more than 3650 pages every year. in 30 years you will have read 110,000 pages.my fellow students, reading 110,000 pages will make you a scholar. but it will take you an hour to read three kinds of small-sized newspapers and it will take you an hour and a half to play four rounds of mahjian pieces. reading small-sized newspapers or playing mahjian pieces, or working hard to be a scholar? it’s up to you all.henrik ibsen said, "it is your greatest duty to make yourself out."studying is then as tool as casting. giving up studying will destroy yourself.i have to say goodbye to you all. your alma mater will open her eyes to see what you will be in 10 years. goodbye!毕业典礼英文演讲稿篇2i take with me the memory of friday afternoon acm happy hours, known not for kegs of beer, but rather bowls of rainbow sherbet punch. over the several years that i attended these happy hours they enjoyed varying degrees of popularity, often proportional to the quality and quantity of the accompanying refreshments - but there was always the rainbow sherbert punch.i take with me memories of purple parking permits, the west campus shuttle, checking my pendaflex, over-due library books, trying to print from cec, lunches on delmar, friends who slept in their offices, miniature golf in lopata hall, the greenway talk, division iii basketball, and trying to convince dean russel that yet another engineering school rule should be changed.some advice. what would a graduation speech be without a little advice, right? 大学生毕业简短励志英语演讲稿范文五篇

I. Graduating from College: A New BeginningDear fellow graduates,I stand before you today as a representative of our graduating class, filled with a mix of gratitude, excitement, and a hint of anxiety about the future that lies ahead. It goes without saying that these past few years have not been easyfor any of us. We have had to face numerous challenges, fromacademic pressures to personal struggles, all while figuring out our place in the world. Yet, here we are today, ready to take on thenext chapter of our lives. We must remember that graduation is not just an end, but a new beginning. We have been given the opportunity to pursue our dreams,to make a difference in the world, and to live a life filled with purpose and fulfillment. As we move forward, we must stay true to ourselves and what webelieve in. We must continue to learn and grow, never ceasing tostrive for excellence in all that we do. We must also seekopportunities to give back to our communities, to invest in othersand make a positive impact on those around us.In closing, I want to leave you with a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson: "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where thereis no path and leave a trail." Let us all forge our own paths and leave a mark on the world that will be remembered long after we are gone.Congratulations, class of [year]. The future is bright, and it isours for the taking.II. The Power of Our DreamsDear friends and family,As we gather here today to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating class, I am reminded of the power of our dreams. Each and every one of us had a dream when we first stepped foot on this campus, and today, we have achieved that dream. But what comes next? What happens now that we have reached our goal?I would argue that we must continue to dream. We must continue toset goals for ourselves, to aim high, and to believe in our own potential. It is only through this constant striving that we will continue to make progress, both personally and as a society. One of the most powerful weapons we have in achieving our dreams is our education. Our time in college has prepared us for thechallenges of the real world, equipped us with the skills we need to succeed, and instilled in us a sense of responsibility for the world around us.But our education will mean nothing if we do not use it to make a positive impact on the world. We must take what we have learned and put it into action, using our talents and abilities to make theworld a better place. In closing, I want to leave you with a quote from Walt Disney: "All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them." Let us all have the courage to pursue our dreams, and to use oureducation and talents to make the world a better place. Congratulations, graduates. The world is waiting for us.III. Embracing Failure: The Key to SuccessDear graduates,As we stand here today, we are all reminded of the many successes we have achieved throughout our time in college. But what about our failures? What about the times we fell short, missed a deadline, or failed an exam?It is easy to dwell on our failures, to feel discouraged and defeated. However, it is important to remember that failure is not the opposite of success; it is a necessary part of the journey. Without failure, we would not learn, grow, or achieve anything worthwhile.Embracing failure is the key to success. It allows us to take risks, to try new things, and to learn from our mistakes. As we moveforward into the next chapter of our lives, we will undoubtedly face many more obstacles and setbacks. But we must not be afraid of failure; rather, we must learn to embrace it and use it as a toolfor growth and improvement.Of course, none of this is easy. It takes courage, determination, and a willingness to persevere even in the face of adversity. But if there is one thing that college has taught us, it is that we are capable of great things if we put our minds to it.In closing, I want to leave you with a quote from Thomas Edison: "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Let us all embrace failure, and use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, and ultimately succeed in all that we do.Congratulations, class of [year]. The world is waiting for us.IV. The Importance of GratitudeDear graduating class,As we stand here today, looking back on our time in college, I am struck by the immense gratitude I feel for all that we have accomplished together. It is easy to get caught up in the stresses and pressures of daily life, but I believe that a spirit ofgratitude is what truly sets us apart as human beings. When we recognize all that we have to be thankful for, we are ableto approach life with a sense of joy, wonder, and purpose. We are also better able to connect with those around us, to give back toour communities, and to make a positive impact in the world.I would encourage each of us to take a few moments every day to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for. Whether it is the support of our loved ones, the privilege of a college education, or the beauty of the natural world, there is always something to be grateful for.As we move forward into the next chapter of our lives, we must also seek opportunities to give back to others. We must use our talents, abilities, and resources to make a positive impact in the world, whether that be through volunteer work, community service, or simply being there for someone who needs us.In closing, I want to leave you with a quote from Melody Beattie: "Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." Let us all approach our lives with a spirit of gratitude, and use our gifts and talents to make the world a better place.Congratulations, class of [year]. The future is bright, and we are ready to take on whatever comes our way.V. The Value of Hard WorkDear fellow graduates,As we gather here today to celebrate our accomplishments, I am reminded of the importance of hard work. None of us would be here today without a relentless commitment to our studies, persistent effort, and the ability to persevere even in the face of adversity. We have all faced our fair share of challenges, from difficult exams to long hours in the library. But it is through these challengesthat we have learned to push ourselves, to develop the skills weneed to succeed, and to cultivate a sense of resilience that will serve us well in the future. However, hard work is not just about achieving success for ourselves. It is also about contributing to the world in a meaningful way. We must use the skills and knowledge we have gained through our studies to make a positive impact in the world, to contribute to our communities, and to help those in need.As we move on to the next chapter of our lives, we must rememberthat hard work is not an option; it is a necessity. We must bewilling to put in the time, effort, and dedication required toachieve our goals and make our dreams a reality. In closing, I want to leave you with a quote from Vince Lombardi: "The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have appliedthe best of ourselves to the task at hand." Let us all apply thebest of ourselves to the task at hand, and use our education and talents to make the world a better place.Congratulations, class of [year]. The future is bright, and we are ready for whatever comes our way.。

Despite the achievements I have made, I have pities during my high school life.I think I should have exercised more rather than study all the time. After all, healthy is vital to us all.尽管我已经取得的成果,但我还是对我的高中生活充满遗憾。
毕业大会英语演讲稿范文

Good morning/afternoon/evening! It is with a mix of excitement and a touch of nostalgia that I stand before you today to address this esteemed assembly. Today marks a significant milestone in our lives as we gather here to celebrate the culmination of our academic journey. It is a time to reflect, to celebrate, and to look forward to the adventures that lie ahead. Therefore, I am honored to deliver the commencement speech at our graduation ceremony. As we gather here today, we are surrounded by friends, family, professors, and mentors who have been instrumental in shaping our experiences and helping us grow into the individuals we are today. It is to them that I extend my heartfelt gratitude.Firstly, let me express my sincere gratitude to our parents and family members. You have been the pillars of our support, the sounding boards for our ideas, and the comforters during our moments of distress. Your love, sacrifices, and unwavering belief in us have been the driving force behind our success. Without you, none of us would be here today. Thank you for your endless patience, understanding, and encouragement. To our professors and mentors, we owe you a debt of gratitude that can never be fully repaid. Your passion for knowledge, your dedication to teaching, and your willingness to go the extra mile have inspired us to strive for excellence. Your lectures, discussions, and office hours have not only enriched our academic pursuits but also taught us the importance of critical thinking, perseverance, and the joy of learning. Thank you for being the beacon of light that guided us through theoften-challenging path of higher education. To our fellow graduates, let us celebrate this momentous occasion together. We have shared countless moments of laughter, tears, and triumphs over the years. These experiences have forged unbreakable bonds between us. As we move forward, let us remember the camaraderie and the lessons we have learned from one another. Let us continue to support and uplift each other as we embark on new adventures. As we stand on the brink of a new chapter in our lives, it is important to take a moment to reflect on the past. Our time at this institutionhas been filled with challenges and triumphs. We have learned to adapt, to problem-solve, and to embrace change. We have discovered ourstrengths and weaknesses, and we have grown as individuals and as professionals.During our academic journey, we have been exposed to a diverse array of subjects and ideas. We have had the opportunity to explore our passions, to question the status quo, and to challenge our own beliefs. These experiences have broadened our horizons and equipped us with the tools necessary to navigate the complexities of the world. However, it is not just our academic achievements that define us. It is the character we have developed, the values we hold dear, and the impact we have made on those around us. We have learned the importance of empathy, integrity, and resilience. We have witnessed the power of kindness and the impact of a single act of compassion. As we leave the confines of this institution, we carry with us a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experiences. But it is not just what we know that will define our future; it is how we apply that knowledge, how we use our skills, and how we make a difference in the world. The world is a vast and ever-changing landscape, filled withopportunities and challenges. As we step into this new chapter, we must be prepared to embrace the unknown and to seize the opportunities that come our way. We must be adaptable and resilient, ready to face the setbacks and to learn from our mistakes. As we embark on our individual paths, let us remember the values that have guided us thus far. Let us remain curious and open-minded, always seeking to learn and grow. Let us be compassionate and kind, always striving to make a positive impact on the lives of those around us. Let us be bold and daring, not afraid to take risks and to pursue our dreams. In closing, I would like to share a few words of wisdom that have resonated with me over the years:1. "The only way to do great work is to love what you do." – Steve Jobs. Find what you are passionate about and pursue it with all your heart.2. "Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful." – Albert Schweitzer. Find joy in your work and success will follow.3. "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." – Eleanor Roosevelt. Believe in yourself and your dreams, and the world will be your oyster. As we leave this institution today, let us carry these words with us.Let us be the architects of our own destinies, the creators of our own futures. Let us be the change we wish to see in the world.Once again, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have supported us along the way. We are truly blessed to have had such an incredible journey. As we move forward, let us do so with confidence, with courage, and with a heart full of gratitude.Congratulations, Class of [Year]. Go forth and make your mark on the world!Thank you.。

毕业演讲稿Faculty, family, friends, and fellow graduates, good evening.I am honored to address you tonight. On behalf of the graduating masters and doctoral students of Washington University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science, I would like to thank all the parents, spouses, families, and friends who encouraged and supported us as we worked towards our graduate degrees. I would especially like to thank my own family, eight members of which are in the audience today. I would also like to thank all of the department secretaries and other engineering school staff members who always seemed to be there when confused graduate students needed help. And finally I would like to thank the Washington University faculty members who served as our instructors, mentors, and friends. As I think back on the seven-and-a-half years I spent at Washington University, my mind is filled with memories, happy, sad, frustrating, and even humorous.Tonight I would like to share with you some of the memories that I take with me as I leave Washington University.I take with me the memory of my office on the fourth floor of Lopata Hall - the room at the end of the hallway that was too hot in summer, too cold in winter, and always too far away from the women’s rest room. Thewindow was my office’s best feature. Were it not for the physics building across the way, it would have afforded me a clear view of the arch. But instead I got a view of the roof of the physics building. I also had a view of one corner of the roof of Urbauer Hall, which seemed to be a favorite perch for various species of birds who alternately won perching rights for several weeks at a time. And I had a nice view of the physics courtyard, noteworthy as a good place for watching people run their do gs. It’s amazing how fascinating these views became the longer I worked on my dissertation. But my favorite view was of a nearby oak tree. From my fourth-floor vantage point I had a rather intimate view of the tree and the various birds and squirrels that inhabit it. Occasionally a bird would land on my window sill, which usually had the effect of startling both of us.I take with me the memory of two young professors who passed away while I was a graduate student. Anne Johnstone, the only female professor from whom I took a course in the engineering school, and Bob Durr, a political science professor and a member of my dissertation committee, both lost brave battles with cancer. I remember them fondly.I take with me the memory of failing the first exam in one of the first engineering courses I took as an undergraduate. I remember thinking the course was just too hard for me and that I would never be able to pass it. So I went to talk to the professor, ready to drop the class. And he told me not to give up, he told me I could succeed in his class. For reasons thatseemed completely ludicrous at the time, he said he had faith in me. And after that my grades in the class slowly improved, and I ended the semester with an A on the final exam. I remember how motivational it was to know that someone believed in me.I take with me memories of the midwestern friendliness that so surprised me when I arrived in St. Louis 8 years ago. Since moving to New Jersey, I am sad to say, nobody has asked me where I went to high school.I take with me the memory of the short-lived computer science graduate student social committee lunches. The idea was that groups of CS grad students were supposed to take turns cooking a monthly lunch. But after one grad student prepared a pot of chicken that poisoned almost the entire CS grad student population and one unlucky faculty member in one fell swoop, there wasn’t much enthusiasm for having more lunches.I take with me the memory of a more successful graduate student effort, the establishment of the Association of Graduate Engineering Students, known as AGES. Started by a handful of engineering graduate students because we needed a way to elect representatives to a campus-wide graduate student government, AGES soon grew into an organization that now sponsors a wide variety of activities and has been instrumental in addressing a number of engineering graduate student concerns.I take with me the memory of an Engineering and Policy department that once had flourishing programs for full-time undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students.I take with me memories of the 1992 U.S. Presidential debate. Eager to get involved in all the excitement I volunteered to help wherever needed. I remember spending several days in the makeshift debate HQ giving out-of-town reporters directions to the athletic complex. I remember being thrilled to get assigned the job of collecting film from the photographers in the debate hall during the debate. And I remember the disappointment of drawing the shortest straw among the student volunteers and being the one who had to take the film out of the debate hall and down to the dark room five minutes into the debate - with no chance to re-enter the debate hall after I left.I take with me memories of university holidays which never seemed to apply to graduate students. I remember spending many a fall break and President’s Day holiday with my fellow grad students in all day meetings brought to us by the computer science department.I take with me memories of exams that seemed designed more to test endurance and perseverance than mastery of the subject matter. I managed to escape taking any classes that featured infamous 24-hour-take-home exams, but remember the suffering of my less fortunate colleagues. And what doctoral student could forget the pain andsuffering one must endure to survive the qualifying exams?I take with me the memory of the seven-minute rule, which always seemed to be an acceptable excuse for being ten minutes late for anything on campus, but which doesn’t seem to apply anywhere else I go.I take with me the memory of Friday afternoon ACM happy hours, known not for kegs of beer, but rather bowls of rainbow sherbet punch. Over the several years that I attended these happy hours they enjoyed varying degrees of popularity, often proportional to the quality and quantity of the accompanying refreshments - but there was always the rainbow sherbert punch.I take with me memories of purple parking permits, the West Campus shuttle, checking my pendaflex, over-due library books, trying to print from cec, lunches on Delmar, friends who slept in their offices, miniature golf in Lopata Hall, The Greenway Talk, division III basketball, and trying to convince Dean Russel that yet another engineering school rule should be changed. Finally, I would like to conclude, not with a memory, but with some advice. What would a graduation speech be without a little advice, right? Anyway, this advice comes in the form of a verse delivered to the 1977 graduating class of Lake Forest College by Theodore Seuss Geisel, better known to the world as Dr. Seuss - Here’s how it goes:My uncle ordered popoversfrom the restaurant’s bill of fare. And when they were served,he regarded themwith a penetrating stare . . .Then he spoke great Words of Wisdom as he sat there on that chair:To eat these things, said my uncle, you must excercise great care. You may swallow down what’s solid . . . BUT . . .you must spit out the air!And . . .as you partake of the world’s bill of fare, that’s darned good advice to follow.Do a lot of spitting out the hot air.And be careful what you swallow. Thank you.。
