Thanks.Rio这就很明显了,客人用大写的目的是为了提醒并强调,必须要周末前寄出可能这封邮件很简单,你不太容易忽视,但是如果一封很长的邮件,里面详细确认各种规格的时候,突然加了一句要你周末前寄样品,是很容易被忽略的.2)主动语态用得太多.英文信函中,如果你仔细琢磨老外的行文方式,很少会充满We,I之类的人称的.相反要多用被动语态.比如说,我们明天会寄你样品.中国人喜欢说We’ll send you the samples tomorrow. 这句话没错,语法正确,意思清楚,但是老外就不喜欢这样说.他们通常会这样写:Samples will be sent to you tomorrow. 用得是被动语态,人称就没有了.3)经常会问一些毫无意义的话.比如Do you want our products这句话被我列为最傻疑问句排行榜第一名.如果客人说No,你怎么回复那就没下文了哦.而且本身你是去推销的,你希望客人感兴趣,你要引起客人的兴趣.但是这句话就大煞风景,等于一下子就把客人逼到了绝路上,一定要说是或者否.还有诸如Do you interested in our products Are you sourcing for How is your business recently Would you like to cooperate with us 这些都是毫无意义的话.开发信还是要直接一点,告诉客人你是谁,你做什么,你的优势在那里.只要清楚表述出这3点,就完全足够了.其他的东西可以以后慢慢谈.4)喜欢用附件和图片.附件和图片并不是不好,但是第一次发开发信的时候如果有附件或者插入了图片,很容易被国外的服务器拦截的.很多人喜欢第一次联系客人的时候就使用报价单,或者打包很多产品图片,或者发电子样本给客人,这样的成功率并不高,不是被默认为垃圾邮件,就是直接被客人删了.只有一种情况除外,当你收到一个新客人的询价的时候,那你回复的时候,就可以插入报价单或者图片了.第一次联系客人的时候最好全文本,不要出现任何的图片和附件.即使收到客人询价后第一次报价,如果不是客人指定,尽量避免用excel或word附件,最好是直接在邮件里写明.我一般会这样写:Item: Solar lantern with soft handleModel No.: HBC-294847/KTDescription:……………..(把详细的规格写清楚)Package: color boxMOQ: 1,000pcsPcs/ctn: 20pcs/ctnCtn size: 504060cmGW/NW: 20kg/18kgQ’ty/20′: ….pcs; Q’ty/40′: …pcsLoading port: ShenzhenPayment terms: T/T, L/C, D/P, etc.Valid time: 60 daysFOB Shenzhen: pcCIF Valencia: pc以上是我随便写的,只是想说明一点,报价单少用,尽量用文字描述清楚,然后在附件里添加一张500K以下的清楚图片就可以了.这样做的好处是,避免很多懒的客人不去点开附件的word或excel报价单.其次防止客人把你的报价单随便转给别人套价格.如果客人要你报很多款产品,没法全部在邮件里写清楚的时候,那就只能用word或excel做报价单了,但是最好在完成的时候用acrobat生成pdf格式,这样就不容易改.因为很多老外比较懒,你辛辛苦苦花了大半天时间做个完整的报价单给他,他只要删掉其中price这栏,就会把它转给别的供应商报价.5)喜欢插入URL链接.很多朋友在写开发信的时候,总是会在内容里加上自己公司的网址,或者在签名的下面加上链接,这样做,同样有很大的概率被服务器拦截掉的最好在客人回复后,第二次给他写邮件的时候插入这些就没问题了.6)语气过于生硬.其实邮件本身是比较死板的,在电脑面前阅读那些冰冷的字眼,和面对面的交谈或者沟通是完全不一样的.看一句话“Pls give me reply today.”这句话如果面对面讲,客人不会觉得有什么问题,会很高兴说ok,或者no problem;如果里说,也不会有大问题;但如果放在邮件里,是不是略微生硬了一点点呢如果改成”Could you please help to give me reply today”用的是疑问句,加上could, help这样的字眼显得十分委婉,但是又明确表达了你希望今天得到答复的准确意愿.这样不是更好么所以”please, help, kindly, could, thank you, appreciate”这样的话在邮件来往中是很普遍的.除非你和客人已经非常熟了,偶尔客套一下即可,平常就可以不需要了.所以在我看来,新手最容易犯的就是以上的几个错误,当然也不排除一些老业务员也有有1-2个问题.朋友们可以自己对照一下,看这10个错误中,有哪些是自己会经常犯的,或者是没有意识到的.如果某个朋友看了后发现自己一个问题都不会有,那恭喜您了,这篇帖子不适合您,但是也请您有空的话在这里多指点一下大家,让各位朋友也包括我多学习学习.这些只是我个人的一点点经验,自然希望大家的指正.呵呵,坦白说,我以前的email写得并不好,后来有个比较热心的老外指点过我一些,然后我开始有意识地去模仿他们的行文方式和遣词用句,尽管还是有这样那样的缺点,但比一开始已经好很多了.不怕大家笑话,我把我刚工作的时候写的开发信给大家看看:Dear Katherine:This is C from DEF Co. 明确告诉对方我们是供应该产品的。
如果对方正好需要该产品,他会很方便的找到你。
这样就轻易地战胜一部分标题不够明确的竞争者。
又如:这个标题就很明确。
把邮件内容基本概括清楚。
且标题长度适中。
最近在网上也看到一些类似的文章,摘些精华和大家分享。
例如来自阿里巴巴出口通的一篇文章写到:“一个不明确的主题,会让客人根本没兴趣去打开陌生人的邮件。
这个就需要经验了,内容要言简意赅,直接吸引客人通过主题去点开邮件,目的就达到了。
至于他看了以后有没有反应,就要看实际情况和你内容的功力了。
有些人写邮件会这样设置主题:“we are the manufacturer of lights”,又或者“need cooperation”,或者“Guangdong *** trading company ltd”,或者“price list for lights-Guangdong *** trading company ltd”等等,一看就知道是推销信。
当你一个礼拜就收到一封推销信,你可能会有兴趣看看,但是如果你一天收到N封推销信,估计就会很厌烦,直接删掉算是客气的了。
所以如何把主题写好,让客人知道这是封推销信,还是要忍不住打开看看?就要根据实际情况来判断了。
举个例子吧,假设我是做太阳能灯的公司DEF Co. Ltd,目前公司最大的客人是美国的Home Depot,尽管可能是通过贸易商做的,不是直接合作,但是完全可以当作一个开发新客人的筹码!如果我要写一封开发信给美国的ABC inc(这个名字是我编的),我从google上了解了一些这个公司的信息,知道他们是美国的进口商,有做太阳能灯系列,希望能试着开发这个客人,我一般会这样写主题,“Re: ABC inc/Home Depot vendor-solar light/DEF Co., Ltd.”其中,ABC inc代表了客人的公司名,你在写给他的主题上首先加上他公司名,表示对他们公司的尊重;Home Depot vendor-solar light明确表示你是北美第二大零售商Home Depot的太阳能灯供应商,既表明了实力,也勾起他的兴趣;最后的DEF Co., Ltd.代表自己公司。
这样一来,假设你找对了人,这个正是ABC 公司太阳能灯的buyer,又或者是他的某一个主管,突然某一天收到这么一个主题的邮件,哇,home depot的供应商找上来了,太棒了,应该看看是不是有合作机会,是不是比原有供应商更好?他打开邮件的概率会非常非常大!再说了,这个主题设置的还有一个好处,就是客人即使暂时不回你邮件,只是放在收件箱里,但是将来某一天他突然想让你报报价,很容易就能找到这封邮件!只要关键词输入home depot,保证一下子就找到。
”此一招可谓独辟蹊径,给人耳目一新的感觉。
循此线索,如能举一反三,练出属于自己的独门绝技,善莫大焉。
这位仁兄还将一些常见的问题和建议总结如下:a.不推荐:1)、Establishing Business Relations (十有八九会被退回)2)、We are XXXX Chemical Co., Ltd. (在对方还不知道你们公司的时候,这样写无疑是要被打入垃圾邮件组)3)、Chemical Raw Materials (只有产品名称,对方会感到莫明其妙)b.推荐:1)、Supplying High Quality Chemical Raw Materials (很普通,打开率50%)2)、Chemical Materials from China (有产品,有国家)3)、Chemical Raw Materials Supplier (有点贸易商的感觉)4)、Serve High Quality Chemical Materials (感觉用serve比supply稍好一点)c.强烈推荐:1)、Chemical Materials for XXXX Industry (有具体的应用领域)2)、XXXX from China (写出具体的产品名称,前提是你要知道对方的行业以及需要什么产品)3)、For/To XXXX (写出对方的名字或者公司名,阅读率应该算是最高的,但是发信速度也是最慢的)4)、RE:Chemicals (加上Re有一种回复的感觉)5)、Re: Quotation about chemicals for XXX(有价格有产品有对方公司名称)6)、Re: XXX inc/Home Depot vendor-solar light/DEF Co., Ltd.(有对方公司名称,有合作大买家,有自己公司名称,万无一失)摘在此处以供大家参考。
2.作为开发信标题还要有自己的特性,从形式到内容都要新颖:这里再借鉴一位仁兄发表到福步上的一些经验,您看看是不是很有启发呢?摘录如下:“开发信标题的作用!您是否还在使用以下的开发信标题?一.问候性的标题:How are you?How is your business going?......二.毫无意义的疑问句Do you want *** product?Are you searching for *** supplier?......三.没有任何力度的陈述句Good supplier from China*** company form China*** product supplierBusiness of *** productWe want to establish business relationship with youSeeking business cooperationChance of cooperation about ***......实际效果怎么样呢?是否挺让人沮丧的?解决办法:一.就开发信标题问题我也和我的一个客户谈到过。
不同客户的心理虽然各不相同,但总的来说都喜欢看到新颖,简洁,最好带点创造性的标题。
总体来说,只要在标题里注明自己的产品,加上一点点新意,你的标题就会与那些群发的明显与众不同。
就我自己而言,我做空调业务,一般用的是"Stay Cool With Us--*** air conditioner" 一语双关;或者"Your air, we care -- *** air conditioner" 押韵。
这里只是抛砖引玉,希望大家多花点时间思考一下二.标题也可以直接勇敢地使用一些有力度的疑问句,如:Are you satisfy with your present supplier?Are you tired of buying inferior *** product?其他的等等三.直接用 RE: 或者多个。
RE:RE:RE: + title 作为开头,第一时间引起客户注意。
如果客户每天收发很多邮件,他不会在意你这样做的。
四.引用CathyJo的方法:写开发信都是在充分熟悉客户网站的基础上,观察他们网站的标语,然后就把相应的重要的放上去,人家一看这个标题很熟悉,就会打开来看的了。
不管是谁,对自己企业的口号类标语总是会多看几眼的我和我的朋友们一直使用这几种发法,受益颇多。

其实我刚开始做外贸的时候也是这样,收集过很多模板,都大同小异。
模板中的文字四平八稳,滴水不漏,但是总感觉缺少些什么,并且用模板的人多了,客户看的多了,就会很烦。
东坡肉味道很好,但是能一口气吃下一打的我还没遇到过。
如何才能写一份有杀伤力的开发信,如何让客人看了以后兴致勃勃,如何让客人迫不及待的回复你的邮件呢?一家叫做Return path公司的市场调查公司在2006年12月做的一次调查,其中列出了读者打开和阅读邮件的主要原因。
在什么情况下会打开一封邮件,根据Return path的调查结果,排在前三位的原因分别是:1,你认识并信任发件人;2,以前打开过发件人的EMAIL,或进而有过回复;3,邮件标题吸引人。
在这三大原因中前2项原因我们无法控制,因为你在写开发信前客户一般都不认识你,之前也没有回复过你的邮件,唯一能让客户打开你邮件的最大可能是你的“邮件标题”可以吸引到客户。
客户平时是很忙的,处理邮件的时候,不可能一封封的当小说来读,根据一个AMA(美国营销协会)的数据,一个商务人士花在每封信上的时间大概是2秒钟,2秒钟是什么概念?眼睛一眨就过去了。
如果标题不够吸引人,客人直接忽略了,里面正文写的再精彩都没用,套用一个流行的说法,你伤不起啊!许多人写的开发信标题,大部分都有这样或那样的问题,写的还算科学的有一小部分,写的让人眼前一亮的就寥寥了。
先把几个具有代表性的挑了出来,大家来一起看看:1,How do you do?这个标题是一个外贸销售员写的。
我看了以后就问他为什么要这样写,他说写信就像聊天呀,刚一见面首先要打招呼。
他的这句话我只同意一半,写信和聊天的确有像的地方,比如我们都应该用生活的语言。
但是标题不是用来打招呼的。
标题的作用是什么?就一句话:吸引客户的眼球。
