Drink 漫谈如果你很thirsty(渴的),可以喝饮料。
在英语中,饮料是drinks。
按其成分有无酒精,drinks可分为soft drinks(软饮料)和hard drinks。
soft drinks指的是果汁、可乐等不含酒精的饮料,如orange, Coca-Cola等。
而hard drinks是指含酒精的各种酒(wine),所以也称strong drinks。
单说drink往往指的是“酒”。
如果听到有人说:Would you like a drink? 或Whatabout a drink? 他是在征求你喝不喝酒,绝不可认为他是问你要不要喝水。
那么,如何问别人喝不喝水呢?可这样说:Would you like some water?drink可单独用作动词,意为“喝酒”。
如:He likes to drink. 他喜欢喝酒。
He drinkstoo much. 他经常酗酒。
drink后面也可接宾语。
如:drink water/tea/milk等。
在酒场上,</PGN0152.TXT/PGN>我们在祝酒时常说“为……的健康干杯”,英语中也有类似的说法:Let's drink to our father! 为爸爸的健康干杯!I drink your health! 为你的健康干杯!喝酒,特别是酗酒对人身体有害,希望我们不要学习drink, 更不要劝人drink。
