An Important Leader
Leaders like John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King have made important contributions to the people of the United States. Name another world leader you think is important. Give specific reasons for your choice.
As an old saying goes “Every great career needs smart leaders”, great leadership is the very important for every country’s national revival. If you ask me which world leader I think is important, my answer will be Chairman Mao without any hesitation. The reasons why I adore him are as follows.
Firstly, Chairman Mao is a great chairman. He came from the poor , so he knew clearly about what they suffered. So he leaded all the poor people to overthrow the suppression from the imperialism, the feudalism and the bureaucratcapitalism, and rescued all the people of peasant class from exploitation of the landlord class through the toughest class fight. Then he leaded the Chinese Communist Party to build a new China, in which every average people became the owner of the country and got the civil right.
Secondly, Chairman Mao is a great militarist, he showed special military skills during the war with the enemy. For example, when the enemy was thinking about to how to put down the ordinary people class, he brought out the way of uniting every people to fight. When the enemy was paying attention to seizing the rich large city, he brought out the idea of setting up the rural revolutionary base areas and encircling the cities from the rural areas. What he thought was always different from the general concept, his opinion in military was smart.
What’s more, Chairman Mao is also a great poet, his poetry is also very famous. We can see his optimism and broad mind through many of his masterpieces. We can take the poetry “Spring in Qin Garden Snow”for example, he said that “For truly great men, look to this age alone”, which shows the broad mind and the inspiring confidence for everything and I think this might have encouraged many people during the tough war.
To sum up, Chairman Mao had made very great contribution to our national liberation and civilization. Although he had made some wrong decisions during his late life, his great achievement was undeniable. So I think he is a very important leader.。
