Lip Oscillation
The lip oscillation is done by putting your lips together and blowing or pushing out to create a vibration. It's kind of like a raspberry. You can hear it here.
Kick Drum
For the kick drum, you suck your lips in and build up the pressure in your mouth, not in your lungs. It should build up mainly below your bottom lip. Then you push the pressure out in a "b" sound without the "e" sound on the end.
Your lips make a quick lip oscillation when they connect while making the kick drum noise. However, you are not breathing out while making the oscillation. You can hear it.
Closed Hi-Hat
The closed hi-hat is done by simply closing your teeth and flicking your tongue off the two front teeth to make an unvocalized "t" sound. You can hear it.
Open Hi-Hat
The open hi-hat is done by slightly opening the teeth, and flicking the tongue off the two front teeth like the closed hi-hat but you prolong the "t" sound to make a "tss" sound. You can hear it.
Classic Snare
For the snare, you put your lips together and relax, then push out a short "pf" sound through your lips using your bottom lip.
It's almost as if your spitting. So, as if you were spitting, push out a "pf" sound. If that doesn't work, try starting with your top teeth on your bottom lip. You can hear it.
(Pff)
Inward Scratch
To do the inward scratch, you close your teeth. Then you breathe in sharply through your 4 front teeth. Then you close your mouth when you inhale enough. If you use enough pressure, you can make it sound like an abra scratch. You can hear it.
Techno Swallow
The techno swallow usually comes natural. Just tense up your throat and let it go in a short "oo" sound. It sounds effective if you put the microphone to your throat while making this noise. You can hear it with the microphone to the throat here and without it here.
Techno Snare
Let the techno kick out through your mouth through closed teeth. You can hear it.
Block Click
Just push your tongue against the roof of your mouth, then suck it flat to the bottom. You can hear it.
Frog Snare
Position your mouth as you would for a kick drum. Build up the pressure. Then let it out, but push out with your tongue and let out a short hissing sound on the end. It sounds like this.
Propeller
For the propeller, you relax your lips and blow out so they vibrate like, you guessed it, a propeller. You put a "t" or a "d" sound on the beginning. The propeller sounds like this. If you shorten it and use less breath, you can make it sound like a car bass.
1. Inward Vinyl Scratch
3. Clap
4. Clickroll
5. Cricket Noises
6. Inward Keh Snare K音小鼓(rimshot,ke,kch.)
7. Hollow Block Click
8. Vocal Scratch
9. Violin
Inward Vinyl Scratch
To do the inward Vinyl Scratch, you have to master the inward scratch. You combine the inward scratch with some inward "huh" vocalization. You can hear it.
Inward Hollow Snare
Try to make the "i" from "fish" inwards as if you were choking or wheezing(Keep it falsetto). Now point your tongue to the roof of your mouth right behind your two front teeth, also known as the alveolar ridge. Now combine the two to get this sound.
Clap
The clap is done by sucking air through the teeth on the side or middle of your mouth. You do not breathe in while making this noise. To do the clap on the side, pick a side and leave the teeth apart. Then put your tongue behind the top teeth and suck air in with the side of the tongue. For t
he middle, you put your tongue on the roof of your mouth and suck air in with the tongue. To make a more crisp clap sound you can let the pressure build then suck the air in. You can hear it.
Clickroll
The clickroll is done with the same concept as the clap. You suck on the side or tip of your tongue and the vacuum created makes multiple clicks. To get the whole concept of the clickroll and how you will be positioning and using your tongue, put the tip on the roof of your mouth or slide either side of your tongue(The side that gets the better clicks varies from person to person.)
but let the rest of your tongue stay flat. Now inhale. If you have your tongue in the right position, it should have made some fast, airy clicks. Now, when you do a regular clickroll, you won't be breathing in. Now you know what part of your tongue you will be using for the clickroll and what your tongue will be doing. So, now get your tongue into the position that worked best, and suck on your tongue, kind of like in the clap. Your clickroll might sound like an airplane running out of fuel out first, but practice is the key to the clickroll. You can hear it.
Cricket Noises
It's mixture of two sounds. An inward whistle, and a soft inward uvular oscillation. To do the inward whistle, you shape your lips in a small "o" shape. You leave your teeth open and try to breathe in just through that small "o" shape. It should sound like this. For the soft inward uvular oscillation in the cricket noises, you keep your mouth in the "o" shape and use the same breath from the whistle to oscillate your uvula. Without the whistle, in the "o" shape the oscillation sounds like this.
To combine the two, you breathe the breathe through your teeth and straight into your throat, past your uvula. It might help to close your throat and let the breath go through the small space that remains. The final result of combining the two will be this sound.
Inward Keh Snare
To do the keh snare you shape your mouth like a rounded square, letting your top two front teeth show. The bottom two front teeth should show as well as about half of the two bottom incisors. Then, you put the tip of your tongue on the alveolar ridge, right behind your two front teeth on the roof of your mouth. Inhale. Air should go in each side of your tongue and into your lungs. For the "k" sound, you take the "ay" off of "k" and instead of saying the the k sound outwards, you breathe in with your tongue and mouth in position. Then, you put a breath on the end where it goes on each side, like before. You can build pressure with your throat then do the keh sound for a more crisp, pronounced sound. You can hear it.
Hollow Block Click
For the hollow block click, you position your mouth as you would for a regular block click. Now relax and flick your tongue down off the roof of your mouth while moving your mouth down, or keeping your mouth wide open. If that doesn't work, try tensing your throat up then repeating the
procedure. You can hear it.
Vocal Scratch
The way I do the vocal scratch is, I try to talk in a soft nasally like voice. But the trick is I try not to use my nose at all. I talk with my tongue and my throat and vocalize words like "airy" or "eerie". Then I might go falsetto and use certain pitches. It's up to you what pitches you want to use. Here I am using "airy".
Violin
For the violin, you open your teeth slightly. Then you open your mouth and put your lip above your bottom teeth so only your two top front teeth are showing with the bottom lip against them. Then you try to let out an "oo" sound in falsetto but put a "w" on the beginning. You can even try to combine the "w" with the "oo" sound. The violin sounds like this. And you can lower the note to your liking. If you lower the note a little bit, it sounds like this.
1. Police Siren
2. Inward Backspin Roll
3. Inward Backspin Scratch
4. Gym Whistle
5. Zipper
6. Bongo Drums
7. Electric Guitar
Police Siren
For the police siren, put your teeth together. Then push your top lip out. Pull your bottom lip over your bottom teeth up to your top teeth. Then push that lip out as well. Then you try to make a sound in falsetto that comes out both your nose and your mouth. You should feel a tickling vibration. Then, you can move the pitch of it back and forth in falsetto to get this noise. Or, you can just drop the note then bring it up to get this noise.
Inward Backspin Roll
For the inward backspin roll, you breathe in air through your mouth at the same time as doing a clickroll. You can hear it here.
Inward Backspin Scratch
For this noise, you make your inward backspin roll really sharp then start in regular mouth position. You put a "t" sound in front of it and then, you keep the roll going and move your mouth into whistling position then bring it back. It sounds something like this.
Gym WhistleThe gym whistle is like the cricket noises. To do the gym whistle you whistle harshly and loudly inwards, and combine with a soft, rapid uvular oscillation. To get a better sounding gym whistle, try putting your entire mouth in the whistling position so your cheeks go inwards a little. Then take in a sharp, loud breath inwards. Then combine it with a soft, rapid uvular oscillation to get this noise.
Zipper
The zipper is the inward vinyl scratch except instead of using a regular note, you use a low to high falsetto note. You can hear it here.
Bongo Drums
For the bongo drums, you combine a techno swallow with an inward rimshot. You do this by leaving your mouth wide open and closing your throat, then quickly opening it while doing the techno swallow. You try to keep the techno swallow as low as possible. You can hear it here.
Electric Guitar
Th
e first way to do the electric guitar is an inward siren note with vibrato on it with the rasp from the robot voice. It sounds like this.
The second way is to do it outwards. It sounds like this.
Vinyl Snare
To get a snare and a scratch at the same time, close your teeth. Then position your tongue as you would for a keh snare. Try to make an inward keh snare and an inward vinyl scratch with your teeth closed at the same time to make this sound.
Well, that's it. Thanks!
