Step I: Display the preview work
Ask several students to write down the preview work on the blackboard. Then check the answers together and remember them after class.
Step II: Lead-in
T: Well down. All of you did good jobs. I’d like you appreciate a picture. Please look at the screen. Dou you know him?
S:
T: His name is Nick Vujicic. From this picture, we can see he has no arms and legs, but a small foot. Would you like to know more about him? Let’s see a short video.
T: Nick is positive and he tells us the disabled can live well. In
this class, another disabled person Marty will tell us his story. Let’s come to Marty’s story

T: Since we know the structure of the text, let’s learn some details about Marty. Read paragraph1 quickly and finish exercise2.

2. What does “live one day at a time” mean?
