Some students think that they can show their love for family by working hard to make as much money as possible and make them live a comfortable life while having time for fun is a waste of time and money. However, others have different ideas.They agree that working hard is important, but health is more important than money for them. (health matters more to them than money/wealth)They want to spend as much time as possible relaxing with their families. In their opinion, spending quality time with family is the key to a fun-filled life

A controversial Issue

Recently a heated debate has been held in Class 1, Grade 1 about a controversial issue—lifestyle.

Their opinions are divided on this topic. Most of the students are in favor of having a busy lifestyle. However, the others are strongly against it. Before giving my opinion, I think it is important to look at the arguments on both sides.

People in favor of the former opinion believe that we should spare no effort to work and make as much money as possible. We love our families, so there is no denying that we should go out of our ways to improve the qualities of their life. It is our duty to make them live a rich and comfortable life. Besides, entertainment wastes our time, so we should keep away from it.

Nevertheless, those in favor of the latter opinion believe that overwork does harm to health. Therefore, we should work hard but attend to ourselves at the same time. Health comes first and we should give priority to our family members instead of money. Compared with our families, money is less important and we should spend more time with our families. What’s more, entertainment and activities are also necessary, so we should take part in them more often to relieve stress and relax ourselves.

As far as I am concerned, I’m in agreement with the second one. Family is the most important aspect of my life and we cannot emphasize the importance of health too muc h.

It’s their responsibility to love their family and help them live a rich life. What’s more, they think it wastes time to have recreational activities and they should do it as little as possible.

While others think it’s a good idea to have a relaxing and healthy lifestyle. From their point of view, it’s essential for them both to work and keep healthy. It is believed that if a proper balance is struck between work and rest, the quality of work will go up instead of down. They do believe the more activities they do, the more relaxed they are. Also, they are for the opinion that the most important thing for family is to spend time with them together instead of giving them money.
