因此在教学中我尝试着改变传统教学的方法,先教字母、字母组合在单词中的发音,并根据发音规律拼读、拼写单词。
比如在教“a”这个字母时,要让学生同时知道它在重读开音节和重读闭音节中的两个最基本读音,然后把a放入单词中;如在name这个单词中,由于学生见到n就会发[n],见到m就会发[m],把a放入n与m 之间,并告诉他们“a”应发开音节的读音,学生就自然发出[neim]这个音,再强调“e”在词尾不发音。

即是将单词按类别来记忆，分类时可以按同音词，同义词，形近词，反义词。
如：同音词hour-our here-hear too- to –two ,meat- meet 形近词boring-bring bridge-fridge
同义词begin-start begin-start large-big-huge
反义词 tall-short small-big light-heavy
再如，我们可以按照人体部位，交通方式，水果，颜色，蔬菜等来记背单词。
八．在游戏中记忆单词
在单词的记忆中，适当的引入各种游戏能有效地调节学习氛围，激发学生的兴趣，还能促使学生以积极的心态来主动记忆。
因此，在课堂上开展小组竞赛。
如末尾词接龙evening-good-desk-key-yellow依末尾词写单词，所有单词不重复，在规定的时间内谁写的单词多谁获胜。
也可用反义词抢答，同义词抢答等不同的方式来比赛，并对获胜者进行奖励。
这样，学生记忆单词的兴趣就大大提升。
九．利用口诀记汇词
利用口诀记单词是一种比较有用的方法，学生易记且不易遗忘。
比如我讲序数词的时候，学生比较难以掌握，所以我利用口诀：一、二、三特殊记，八去t，九去e，ve要用f替，见y变成i和e，词尾加上th，若是遇到几十几，只变个位就可以.再比如在讲名词复数的时候，我借用口诀小偷(thief)的妻子(wife)用刀子(knife)把狼(wolf)砍成两半(half)，并亲自(self)把它放在用树叶(leaf)做成的架子(shelf)上，来完成了名词以f(e)结尾的单词名词复数的构成。
这种方法学生朗朗上口，极易掌握。
当然，记忆单词的方法多种多样，同学们只要善于发现善于积累，就会发现，高效地记背单词并不是一件多么困难的事。
学生只要结合多种方法，在平时的学习中做到多看、多听、多说、多写，学好英语就会成为一件简单而快乐的事情。
