As children, we dream of becoming astronauts, doctors, teachers, and superheroes. These dreams fuel our play, shape our desires, and mold our identities. They are the first whispers of our potential, the seeds of ourfuture selves.Yet, as we grow older, the harsh realities of life often dim the brightness of our dreams. We face challenges, setbacks, and failures that threaten to extinguish theflames of our aspirations. Doubt creeps in, whispering that our dreams are foolish fantasies, unattainable dreams meant for others, but not for us.However, it is during these dark moments that the true power of dreams reveals itself. For dreams are not mere illusions; they are the blueprints of our destinies, the visions that guide us through the darkest nights and the fiercest storms. Their stories remind us that no dream is too big, no obstacle too great, and no challenge too daunting to overcome. In my own life, I have been inspired by the power of dreams to shape my destiny. From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a writer, using words to inspire, educate, and uplift others. Despite the doubts and uncertainties that plagued me, I held onto my dream, knowing that it was the driving force behind my actions. And now, as I stand on the precipice of adulthood, I realize that my dreams have shaped not only who I am but also who I aspire to be. They have the ability to transcend barriers, defy expectations, and transform lives. They are the fuel that ignites our passions, the compass that guides our journeys, and the light that illuminates our paths. Smartphone Addiction
From the picture we can see that a boy and a girl are having delicious meals together. Instead of enjoying the food and chatting with the boy, the girl having been obsessed in the virtual world just gazes at the smartphone and sits still. Obviously, the boy is exceedingly annoyed at this disrespectful behavior. However, he has no choice but to sit with his arms crossed. We can deduce from the vivid drawing that the meeting between the boy and the girl isn’t at a happy ending.
The picture reveals a common but serious problem called smartphone addiction. There’s no dou bt that smartphones have become necessities in our life with their outstanding functions. People especially the youth use their phones to surf the Internet, upload latest pictures at any time, any place. Admittedly, smartphones play indispensable part and our life quality has been promoted a lot with the help of smartphones. However, indulging in the smartphones have many side effects.
As a matter of fact, being integrated into the smartphones impedes the communication with others. As is showed in the picture, people prefer to relax themselves in the virtual world instead of talking with their friends and families. Without communication, people fail to build solid relationship with others and feel lonely and anxious when they need help. According to a research published by Chinese Psychological Society, one of the most important reasons of depressive disorder is the lack of communication. Consequently, every one of us should pay attention to smartphone addiction and make good use of the smartphones.
First, we should take control of the time when we play smartphones and the reasonable time of using phones should not exceed three hours a day. Also, playing smartphones should be at the right time and right place. For example, when having gatherings and parties, we should try to avoid playing our smartphones. Or, it will hamper our relationship with others.
In conclusion, the positive effects of smartphones should not be neglected, but what is important to us is to protect ourselves from smartphone addiction and lead a healthy life.。
